I had Fireplace and Chimney Authority make repairs to two chimneys: one the serves a fireplace and another that serves a water heater. A sealant and mortar plugs needed to be applied at the top of each chimney. Daniel Colon provided the estimate, and Daniel and another employee, Rocky, together, performed the work as previously scheduled. They were prompt, delivered on all promises, and courteous. I recommend this company and would not hesitate to call upon them again.

They cleaned my fireplace insert and chimney. Very neat and professional job. They advised that my chimney crown was cracked and recommend Crown Seal. I had them apply the product which should protect the crown for life or at least many years. I am very happy with their work and highly recommend them.

Fireplace & Chimney Authority in Elmhurst did an excellent job of installing a liner for our hot water heater exhaust as well as stainless steel vent cap with lock top dampener for the fireplace. We also had them parge the smoke chamber and tuckpoint the firebox. Steve and his crew did a excellent job and were polite with taking all precautions for this pandemic we are in. I have attached some pics with everything I have mentioned. This fireplace is ready to be used again and up to code.

Last week I had my small gas fireplace cleaned and serviced by Fireplace & Chimney Authority. The professionals they sent out were fast, courteous, and clean - they even brought sheets with them to protect my wood floors and rugs. They also were in and out in under an hour, and kindly let me make a video of how to use this fireplace so I didnt forget after not using it all summer. Mike and Ricardo were amazing- cleaned out my fireplace, were very knowledgeable and told me that they cleaned as much as they possibly could without damaging the pilot assembly. I asked them how much that typically cost and how often that needs to be changed out and just were very pleasant and pilot. They wore masks, put the protectors on their shoes, had drop cloths for everywhere they went! When you call in to make your appointment, they are so pleasant- it was a joy to work with them. I had to book over a month out (probably also due to winter when they are busiest)!

Outstanding company from the initial call and past the service date. The gentleman I spoke with to schedule the cleaning was courteous and easy to speak with. We set up a date and time that worked great for me. On the day of the cleaning, two very professional associates showed up on time and wore the proper masks to come into my home. While one person explained to me what they were going to start with, the other guy put down a drop cloth which I was super appreciative of. Very quickly they assessed that my fireplace was actually in great shape and did not need a full cleaning. (This is a new home to me and during home inspection, the inspector highly advised us to get it checked out before our first fire). I was really appreciative of his honesty. However, he went even further to offer to throw a ladder on the side of the house and get a look from the top-down. This proved to be extremely important as there were a handful of issues in the chimney that the previous owners neglected to take care of. I was walked through the process of bringing the chimney into proper and safe form. While it is a rather lengthy and expensive process, I truly felt that I was being treated fairly and honestly. An estimate was put together on the spot for me and he answered all of my questions. Finally, a few days later, we received a hot sauce thank you gift from Fireplace & Chimney. Class act all the way. Will definitely engage them for the future work.

I was highly recommended to you by a friend that was serviced by your company. I was excited to finally find a good company and scheduled an appointment. I booked and had to wait a month and a half which was reasonable. I got a call the day before appointment to say the tech was not able to make it and rescheduled it two week out. Again, it was not a big deal. Now I get a call the night before the rescheduled appointment and again, get the run around and told it would be another month and a half before the tech could come out. I sent an email with my frustrations and they came out the next day. Once here, the guys were quick and knowledgeable.

Bernardo Tijerina was very friendly and professional. We had our fireplace cleaned, but was informed the smoke chamber did not meet code. After a video was taken, we accepted their proposal to reline the chimney using a stainless steel relining pipe that was wrapped with insulation. We wont have to worry about using the fireplace now or have inspection concerns when we want to sell our home.

Daniel and his assistant came out a few months ago and did a fantastic job cleaning everything out and getting it back up and running. I ordered a gas log set and installation for a new fireplace, including remote control. They arrived on time and did a great job with the installation. They were neat and tidy, cleaning up after themselves. They arranged the logs for optimal appearance of the flames and explained that it would take a little time for the flames to turn more yellowish. They answered all of my questions.

From start to finish everything was easy. I made the appointment online, got a call requesting some photographs of the fireplace to confirm make and model, and the service folks arrived exactly when they said they were going to do and fixed our unit at a reasonable price. We have had a wonderful experience with the company. They rebuilt our chimney and chimney liner. A highly professional 2-man crew arrived as promised, set up the scaffolding, and completed the work in about three days. After removing the old chimney, they recommended a liner - which fortunately they were able to do with two additional specialists while the chimney was being rebuilt. After completion of the work, the form for the concrete slab was left for the concrete to cure, and they picked it up about 2 weeks later. Fantastic job - the chimney looks great, but more importantly, it is now safe and solid! Great job Fireplace and Chimney Authority!

We hired Fireplace & Chimney Authority to redesign and reface our 15’ fireplace and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. I expected the job to create a lot of dust as the brick on the lower portion of the fireplace and the hearth had to be removed. Gus and his assistant took the time to enclose the room in plastic and placed a fan in a corner window to suction the dust out of the room. Fernando and Fisher completed the job and the quality of their workmanship is exceptional. The four installers that we dealt with were all very courteous and a pleasure to work with. They work was done, they charged me a very reasonable price considering a competitor of theirs quoted me $400 more for the same solenoid or valve replacement. Not only was the work done but it was done carefully, they explained everything to me and they went a step further and cleaned my fireplace out which I didn’t expect. I highly recommended and will continue to use this company for my fireplace needs. FYI, I have a boulevard linear gas fireplace with blower.

Very professional and COVID sensitive (wore masks, shoe covers and kept 6 feet when discussing the findings). Everything was very clean after our chimney cleaning and we will be using them for more work on our chimney in the spring!

After just moving into an older home and purchasing a cord of wood we found that the chimney was not drafting and we would not be able to have fires for this first winter, thanks again 2020. After talking to the folks at the Fireplace and Chimney Authority in Elmhurst, we decided that we would go with a ventless gas log set. They had many different modles on display and they explained the good and bad with style. When the technicians arrived to set the unit up they did a very nice job installing it. For safety they even checked all the gas piping that was installed by a plumber we hired. Everyone was masked and they cleaned up and vacuumed the entire work area beautifully.We look forward to having the chimney repaired and also purchasing a new grill that we saw when visiting the store.I am very comfortable recommending this company to anyone.
