As hard as it is to deal with getting a DUI, there is no better place to help you through the process then Alcolock. I had a great experience here. Especially, Joel! He was very understanding and compassionate. He went out of his way to help out when I had car issues and he had to come and inactivate my device. Not once, but several times. These devices can be tricky and sensitive, but you just have to learn how to operate it. The first month was getting used to the device, but then after it became easier once you got the hang of it. All in all, Alcolock really helped me get through this extremely difficult time and made it more bearable. I would highly recommend this company and especially the Elmhurst location with Joel as the technician!

One star for Joel and his amazing customer service. That is the only silver lining in this company. This companys BAIIDS DO NOT WORK PROPERLY. I have had prior experience with a different BAIID company (that I paid more for), so I know how these things work.This is the cheapest, and WORST, option in the Chicagoland area for BAIID devices. If you install the Alcolock brand in your car, the device is very likely to malfunction about 3-4 times a month. It tends to malfunction on the first retest after starting the car and blowing a 0.00. For example, once it retested me after I started the car eight minutes prior, and locked me out of my car for a minute. I retested again and it locked me out of my car for 15 minutes. At that point I had to abandon my car and take an uber to work, and I was late. I got a letter from the Secretary of State saying I blew a .155 that day, 8 minutes after blowing a 0.0 to start the car. Obvious malfunction. The company uses excuses saying its not malfunctioning but instead reading a false positive. They make all the excuses in the book and deny all allegations that the device is malfunctioning. (I know this is not the truth because I drove for a full year with a different companys BAIID device in my car, and none of this never happened.) I had to write a letter explaining the situation to the SOS. Now Im left stressed out because I dont know if the State will believe me, Im stressed that I will get a violation, and Im stressed because my car is unreliable and I dont know the next time it will malfunction again. Im also stressed because if I get a violation, the state will seize my car.I blow false positives about 3-4 times each month. That is unacceptable, is a sign of lack of quality, and to top it off the customer service line is of no help at all.Save yourself the time, the stress, and having to deal with a company that installs outdated BAIIDS, and just pay a little extra each month for a different company (I highly recommend CAM systems).In my humble and informed opinion, this company SHOULD NOT be on the approved Secretary of State BAIIDS list.
