I haven’t received mail in over two weeks. When I reached out to USPS customer service, I was told they see nothing wrong on their end and gave me a claim number. Today, after still not receiving anything, I called Elkton’s office directly and was informed that the mail carrier reported that I no longer live at my address-even though I do still live here and the carrier sees my car everyday. I have even been out in the yard and waved to her as she goes by! Apparently the carrier heard “from someone else” that I moved??? Anyway, because of this, all of my mail has been returned to senders!!The woman who took my call said she would make a note to correct it, but I will need to contact everyone I was expecting mail/deliveries from and let them know I DO still live here and request items to be resent.Absolutely ridiculous!And this is all after years of having to constantly trade mail with my neighbors, since the carrier (despite numerous calls to correct it) mixes up all three of our boxes on a weekly basis.So frustrating...

The carriers of this post office dont deliver my mail on a timely manner. I mailed Delmarva electricity check last month in Mar, today is 13 Apr and they have not received my check. There are bad carriers among them that I dont know what they do w/ my mails. Last month, I was forced to pay my mortgage twice because my check was not delivered timely. They should not even get 1 star.

This should be a 0. I ordered 2 special birthday presents for my 3 year old daughter from Kohl’s. They attached my billing address as the shipping address by accident. After contacting kohl’s, UPS, FEDEX, and Two other local post offices they all told me the best bet was to call Elkton to intercept my package before it got returned to sender. The supervisor Robert was very rude on the phone. He told us I could bring my ID which still has my old address on it for pick up but then told us later that was against their policy. Even though multiple post office workers in other locations said there is no actual policy they just don’t HAVE to give it out of the counter which would just be petty and lazy. He also kept interrupting questions to tell us we were interrupting him and yelling over phone after being told he wasn’t very helpful. Went to the post office Anyway where Post Master Dan took all of 3 min to find my package and give it to me over the counter WITHOUT EVEN CHECKING MY ID. There was still another package and he said if they did receive I could call them again and they would be helpful and hold it for me and I could come back to get it. At this time I wasn’t going to write a review. However, on my way to work I called again like the Post Master said to and got supervisor Robert again. He turned the call personal. He told me the post master was so stressed because of my packages he had to take the day off and leave for the day. He told me my mother made the situation worse (my mother used to work for the post office for years and knows there is no actual policy saying they can’t give me my package and knows how customer service should be provided over phone). He made me cry and when he realized I wasn’t going to argue back with him he told me “I’m not even being mean to you anymore I hope you can get a credit for what you ordered”. Absolutely unprofessional and lazy. All of that, taking a day off, the arguing, the nastiness, the blaming they did... was all for the THREE min it took them to locate my package on site. I’ve never had worst service. Hopefully these guys have a better day and decide to take some time to meet the locals and help some people out during this time of need they should feel lucky to still be working right now not freaking out on customers over a 3 year old girls lost birthday package.

I ordered my moms xmas gift on DECEMBER 11th and it has yet to move out of here! I understand this year is hard but thats why you hire more employees, especially when there are so many out of work in need of jobs! No update as to where its at, pretty sure they lost it and couldnt care less. These reviews below me say alot abt who you all are. Glad I got her another gift as backup, I knew something would go wrong.

First of, Ive had issues with them for the past few weeks. Everytime I get a package, it was always sent back to the sender because of addressee unknown when my address is legitimate and part of their district area. However, it was rerouted back to them and it eventually arrives, but a week late per estimated arrival. This happened twice. Filed a complaint and that somehow got fixed. Today, I tried to mail a small book. Asking for media mail route and the post office rep dismissed it and made it to standard shipping. I told her no it should be media mail. She would not give an explanation and was very rude. I did not want to drive another 6 miles just to go to the next post office because I was in a hurry. After the transaction was complete, she just waved me off. I was so upset because she didnt listen to me. On top of that, I paid extra 5 bucks just to mail a small book. Totally unprofessional, will not come back here again. Will go to Bear location as they are more friendly and provides better service.

The employees were very helpful for me..my only complaint is not one of the employees were wearing a mask. If a costumer is required than the Post Office employees should be wearing gloves and mask since they are handling our mail.

Always had great customer service here and very helpful whenever I needed to ship a package. Pam is one of the nicest people here and a great asset to the service there.One of the few places I actually enjoy going to because I know the service will be top notch and absolutely professional!

Although I have seen employees in this office with a poor attitude, often the customers are much worse. Not that it at all excuses their behavior we should be acting in the way you want to be treated. I have never personally had any issues with disrespect during my visits and I recently had an experience on a call with a gentleman named “Rich” who was extremely polite and as helpful as he could be. Sometimes people don’t have the answers you’re looking for and accidents happen. This office gets a bad wrap however often the customers that are coming in are not polite or respectful in any manner. I’ve seen a customer threaten to hit an employee after getting an answer they didn’t like. This is not the way you should be acting and then logging in to submit a negative review as if you didn’t instigate the response.More often then not, the employees are very nice to me with a smile on their face and if they are not overly happy I don’t take it as disrespect. Only one time in my 5 years of living here have I had an issue with a broken package and I can’t confirm it was Elkton.

I came in to track my package because that claim was delivered but wasnt. They said theres no internet so we cant track it but we will call the post master but it could take a while,like hours.What? How are you running a post office without internet?

The staff at the post office is great, however I think delivery service is horrible. We have had to pry packages out of our mailbox because the driver rams them in. Weve had photos and books bent and ruined. Packages have been left by our back door that we never use and have fitted soaked in the rain.I just received a book that was so soaked the pages are totally destroyed.

Some workers are polite, which is why Ill give one star, but several of them have permanent snarls on their faces and arent afraid to roll their eyes at every word coming from your mouth. I moved into a neighborhood that has cluster boxes and was told Id have to get my keys from the post office. I was told twice that theyre out of keys, have been ordering them for months and have no idea when theyll be in. Okay fine. So I put my mail on hold. I have a small home business and have a lot of packages coming in. Twice in the past two weeks, a package has been delivered in/at mailbox. Meaning, they put my package in the cluster box that they havent given me keys for. EVEN THOUGH MY MAIL IS ON HOLD. Then I have to wait another couple of days for the carrier to take my package out of the box and bring it back to the post office for me to pick up, putting my production time behind. This most recent occurrence, it has been four days and my package has still not been returned to me. I raised hell and demanded to know when Im going get a key, just to be told that they actually DO have keys, theyre just short staffed and dont have time to cut it for my box. At this point, theyre stealing my property by keeping my package locked in an area they are blatantly refusing to give me access to, and refusing to return it to me.The worst part of all this is that I dont even live in Elkton. I live in North East, but the North East post office is too over burdened to handle our mail. Probably due to the amount of people running away from this Post Office.

Julie is great and the reason for 2 stars otherwise it would be ZERO...the male with a headband is unable to close the doors to the mailbox...we have a lot of wind and the mail blows out..my neighbor counted the boxes on our street alone left open one day...10 out of 15..not to mention the ones left open on Knights Corner...and He delivers my neighbors mail to me...which I deliver to them!

I needed passport assistance and was unaware that an appointment was nessesary. All that needed to be done by the travel agent was to verify my documents and accept my money for the processing fee. The woman at the counter was extremely rude when I asked about the agent on-hand she made every attempt to counteract what I had said with her own personal opinion. Overall, it was a poor experience even though I had only been there for about 3 minutes :(

This should be a 0 star review. Our packages never show up on time or they are delivered to the wrong apartment. Sometimes things are just shoved into the mailbox with complete disregard to the item in the package being damaged. We end up with other peoples mail all the time. Its not just us. Everyone around me has to swap packages almost daily. The people who deliver just do not care. We had a package from amazon put on the wrong truck. It was going to be delivered to us on the correct day and then was put on the wrong truck to be sent over 3 hours away and now who knows when we will receive our package. These people are extremely incompetent.

Apparently this post office claims you must make an appointment for passport processing however there isnt any signs or advertisements throughout the postal office indicating you must make an appointment. I spoke with Dan the Postal Master and unfortunately there isnt anything he can do about the misunderstanding. He apologized for the women Supervision employee who seem very angry and was very inappropriate. All in all I wouldnt recommend this postal office.

WORST post office in the country. First off, they always dont deliver a package on the delivery date stating some sort of inability to gain access to the front door. Then they tell you to come to the post office to pick it up and dont mention that their system automatically shuts down at 5pm until you get there. Oh and the first thing they say as you enter the building is say how did you get in? All with the most ridiculous facial expression. No hello, how can I help you, etc. The worst post office in existence and the worst customer service to match. I wonder if they treat all their customers like this or if its only the way they treat or talk to minorities. Its probably because there is no real structure in the postal service to reprimand the workers or the post office as a whole because of how much the postal service is in shambles. Amazon should just create their own logistics program and cut out the postal service as a whole and deliver their own packages. At least with them you can call someone and something will be done. Stay away from this place if you can.

Too bad there isnt a ZERO rating for this DUMP, because anything more than that, is a blatant disgrace. Ive never had anything but unpleasant experiences with this place. From, mail not getting delivered til well-after 4:30 P.M. EVERY DAY, quite large/packaged mail, being stuffed/forced into the mail box, and often bulging far out of the box, to constantly receiving mail belonging at different addresses, etc. Then, theres the wonderful customer service.I contacted this place regarding a package I hadnt received. A female employee answered the phone, right off the bat, she had an arrogant attitude. I explained, how I was looking at the latest tracking info online, which indicated arrival at this post office. She began to laugh, at what? Im still trying to figure out! That, in-turn, made me a tad upset. Im a customer, and YOU DEFINITELY DONT treat customers in such an unprofessional manner. I asked her what was so funny, and she hung up on me.I immediately called back, and asked to speak to a supervisor. A man got on the line, claiming to be the supervisor, and I explained what had happened. He told, me he was sitting right next to this female employee the entire time. I asked, why I was treated with such disrespect, and then abruptly hung-up on. He literally had NO ANSWER!!! He then told me, the package had never arrived at their location. I tried explaining, that I was looking directly at the latest tracking info online, which stated arrival at their location a week ago.He too, began getting very rude and actually began YELLING at me saying/screaming, WE DONT HAVE IT!!! I truly couldnt believe what I was hearing. Its very unfortunate, such miserable people have to conduct business this way. Id NEVER in my wildest dreams, expect this from the post office. I mean, if youre truly this miserable, dont take your frustrations out on completely innocent customers, JUST STAY HOME! My advice...if youre thinking of using this PATHETIC establishment, PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE. Youll definitely be glad you did! No wonder, the USPS has such a lousy reputation. With employees like this, its a wonder they can even keep their doors open. Thanks, for ruining my day! Ill definitely be contacting corporate, Im sure theyll be interested in hearing about this.

Just experienced my third package from Amazon that Elkton Post office claimed to have delivered to my apartment complex. They say they put it in the lock box but I didnt receive a key for the lock box and the lock box is open and empty. This makes a lot of sense though because last year I received the lock box key several times for packages that didnt belong to me, so I would drop the box off to my neighbors door. Im assuming they gave the lock box key to the wrong person and they just kept my package. But still, its poor organization on the post offices part to consistently give the key to the wrong person.

Seriously. Worst delivery service Ive ever had. I have to swap mail and packages with my neighbors weekly. Even a huge heavy air compressor was delivered to the wrong house! Once I received ALL of the mail for EVERYONE on a different street that I delivered myself. My favorite was when tracking said an important package couldnt be delivered because my receptacle was blocked... despite the fact my other package was delivered to my step and there was mail in my box... with nothing blocking. When I called to question they stuck to their story, then finally admitted she actually had just forgot to deliver it and lied. Seriously, I could keep going and Ive only lived in my house a year. Every time I call the postmaster Im promised it will be corrected... I literally gave up calling, its no use.

If I could give a negative rating I would give less than 1 star! I have been waiting at home for an express delivery for 2 days. The first day I was in the next room when the delivery person came to my door and silently put a sticker on my door saying I wasnt there to receive my package. They didnt knock or ring my door bell and even my german shepherd didnt hear them! Today I saw the truck speeding down the driveway away from the house. I dont think they even read the note that I left on the door asking them to ring the bell. I couldnt run fast enough to catch them. What is wrong with this person, who obviously doesnt want to do their job and really deliver the mail?! I couldnt be more unhappy with the service.

I love this post office! Its not as busy as the others in the area (which allows me to get in and out quickly). Also, I have had great experience with the staff and carriers. They have even called me back to verify times of package pick-ups. Since we both send and receive a lot of packages through our local post office, we have gotten to know our carrier(s) who have been exceptionally polite and courteous. What I really like is the home town feel of this facility. They take time with older folks to explain the various mailing systems and help them fill out forms if they are having problems.

Never experienced such poor customer service in my life. I paid for a 2-Day Priority delivery of a package on Monday. Four days later I still don’t have the package. I went into this location yesterday and 2 of the employees were so rude! I walked out having no understanding of when my package would be delivered and no idea where it is..... Let’s not talk about calling customer service either, held the line for an hour and spoke to absolutely no one.... I will only use FedEx going forward!!!!

Absolutely horrible. They said they tried to deliver a package but they couldn’t and that I requested them to hold it at their location; which I didn’t. I reviewed my camera on the front of my house which showed them sitting at the mailbox for about 10 minutes. They never left the truck or came to my door. Lousy customer service. Was told I would have what I had paid for by the 3rd day. Now it has changed to a week.They dont even have my mailbox in their system and are unsure where I would even check my mail at. Now they want me to put my mail on hold until they can figure it out.Kind of need my mail. This post office has been the worst! I have had nothing but problems with them. If you try to call about your problem they are VERY disrespectful! Today they gave me nothing BUT attitude kept cutting me off wouldnt let me explain myself ...wouldnt give me a number to speak to somebody above their Department wouldnt give me his name and told me he said it at the beginning of the call then hung up on me! I dont know how this post office has not been closed down by the government.First off, it took me two months to get my apartment mailbox keys. I would call literally everyday and talked to 8+ employees and every time they would say they were out of mailbox keys. I was told by a few different employees that I didnt have to pay the $30 fee until my keys came in. But I knew something was fishy when sometimes I would call and they would say they just ran out of the keys that came in. I was wondering how they prioritize who gets keys considering I had been waiting over two months. I even filed a formal complaint with the federal office and they agreed that the entire thing was insane (including the $30 fee).Finally, after two months, I called and they said they had keys in. When I went in to get them, I got to talk to an employee that actually knew what they were talking about and it turns out that I could have had my keys all along, but they only gave them to the people who paid the $30 first. HOW DID 8+ EMPLOYEES NOT KNOW THIS!?!?!Okay, so you would think the ordeal would be over right? I have my keys after two months and now I should have access to my mail.............. WRONG. Two weeks have gone by and my mailbox key doesnt even work! So i called and they said that a lot of people are experiencing that issue because they lost track of which locks have been replaced. So now I have to conveniently make the hour long journey for a 100th time to exchange my keys for new ones (which means another 2 week wait for the locks to change). And just keep in mind, this is the shortened version of everything that happened. There was plenty of lost & delayed mail in the mix, as well as an employee that said they would put my mail on hold but didnt. When I asked how its possible for a months worth of mail to fit inside my dinky mailbox, the PO worker told me that they will just throw out some of the old stuff to make room for the new stuff. HOLY F.I just figured I would vent on here so other people can relate if they are having similar problems. This post office seriously needs to be investigated because all of their employees are literally the stupidest group of people Ive ever met.UPDATE:: Went to exchange my mailbox keys for ones that would work. An employee told me I could keep my keys and the driver would change my lock today. However, the employee on the phone had told me they already replaced my lock but must have accidentally done it twice so its the wrong one. The lady at the office is deaf so it wasnt worth arguing. So now im going to wait around and see what happens.

This weekend I got mail for TWO other addresses in the area AND they failed to deliver a package that was tracked as Delivered. The package is gone and they dont give a damn. Mail carrier ran over my mailbox a while back. My neighbor saw them do this we called and reported it and someone said they would talk to the carrier and would get back to us. We had to call back several days later because they never called us back. And they said that their drive said that he didnt do it so it wasnt him and called our neighbor a lier

I live in an aprtment complex so I understand mistakes can happen, but this post office does it weekly. Wrong building number and wrong apartmnumber repeatedly show up at my address and vice versa. I continously have packages marked as delivered that never show up and have to be resent by the seller. This place needs a zero rating.

Our mailbox which is a community box fell over as it was rusted and they claim it will take over 2 months to get it fixed and put back so now we are forced to go to the post office to get our mail this is ridiculous especially when you dont work in the area and have to wait til Saturday.
