These guys are good. Appointment for 2300. I arrived at 2100. Assigned a door at 2245 and empty at 2315. Trucks were in and out the entire time so as soon as a truck leaves a door, another is assigned that same door. Great job receiving team!! Keep trucking’

Appointment time at 8pm called for a door by 840pm. Unloaded by 11pm. Lumber fees of course. I would like to say that the lighting is horrible when backing in or looking for your door number, so with that being said look out for each other. Peace and love ✋🏽Be safe.

Very nice people here. Had a 2300 app got there early at 2000. Parked and it had only been a few minutes and I had a door. I did even feel them unload me. Very fast, also careful. Definitely would come back here thank you Burris.

I had appointment at 11pm, got there by 1130 pm, had me to park and wait for a phone call.After 3.5 hrs I gotta door at 03:10 AM and got done by 0530 AM.

Very nice people off load in 1.5hrs. Nice location lots of truck parking.

Top Notch place. Everything is organized. Security is very polite and professional. Easy to dock in. Lumper fee 180.

Gate guards are friendly. Send you to a staging area to await call for door. Receiving lady not as nice as guard, but not terribly rude. Unloaded 6 pallets in 1 hour. Called to get bills after 4 hours but never released dock clamp. Now 2nd stop will be late.

Had a 1:00 a.m. appointment checked in at 6:30 p.m. was in a door by 7:30 p.m. was out with paperwork by 11:00 no complaints from me they do have a staging area now to park

Over all is good, but they charge $5 extra if you don’t have check.

I like how this job interview was explained out to me. It really showed me that this company has invested a good amount of time training their employees well!

The security are very good and hard working people I wish they didnt had a lot of work to do I mean why do they have to check the back of the truck to see if the guys in the back didnt leave the equipment on there doesnt make any sense, they shouldnt have to piggyback off of no one if the other people know what they are doing

Gate guards were nice, lady in receivingIs not as nice as guards but not bad, Arrived 2000 for 2100 appt, was in door around 2045, unloaded quickly now have been sitting for a few hours waiting on paperwork. Shouldn’t take multiple hours to count to 800, not to mention all the product is the same thing, no multiple PO’s or anything.

Great delivery... Got a door almost immediately and was out in 3 hours. Good time for having over 500 cases of meat. Thanks guys!

Pack a breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This is a severely unorganized place. Day 1, arrived 1 hour early for my 3AM appointment. After 4 hours, I was informed I needed to reschedule my appointment to unload. This meant I lost my next scheduled load. I was rescheduled for 9PM. Arrived 30 minutes early. At 11PM, was assigned a 2 different doors, but both were in use. I was asked to wait some more. At 12:15AM, was finally given an open door. Now at 1:45AM, still waiting to be unloaded. Wondering if Im going to have to give up another load, and lose more money, from sitting here. Giving 2 stars for a good group working the gate, and allowing cute ducks to hang out. Beyond that, ugh.**Update** Its 3AM now, and still sitting in a dock.

Changing my rating afterwards because they reached out to me and are fixing the problemSo receiving finally got better with their attitude but the male security gard at gate is stuck up. They dont follow the same procedure week to week. You get out to check in they yell, you wait in your truck the next week and they yell. Then they tell you to leave seal off one week then the next week they wave you through.

Seems this place has attitude when I say this I mean gaurdshack. Both chicks. Like snotty attitude. Took forever to get a door. Poor lighting when gets dark. I used flashlight to help drivers to get in a spot without hitting another truck. And the Burris drivers like to tailgate in parking lot.

Old lady at front desk was very rude. Place always takes way too long. 3 and 1/2 hours to get 10 pallets unloaded, then and additional 45 minutes to get paperwork.

Receiving doesnt open till 6pm. Check in process was smooth. My appt was at 7pm got a door at 615pm was done unloading by 745pm and sat with a green light till 930pm for paperwork?!! Thats insane! No overnight parking but TA and flying J is a mile up the road.

Was late because of MA and Connecticut traffic, plus other things. Now they might try to charge me over $500 in late fees. With the possibility of being asked to leave until another day. Gonna be late for my next appt in Delaware. Plus my truck was in the shop still so I didn’t have a good window of travel to get here on time! I gave it 2 stars because while I wait I can sleep.

Turned away because of being 1.5 hours earlier. Ended up parking illegally on the street because TA was already filled up. Plenty of room on the yard for us to park but they have an attitude.plus over 7 hours to unload. Not coming back

Haven’t been here in about 3 or 4 years. Last time said I wouldn’t come back. Well I did and was not going to like it. Got here and come to find out this place has changed a lot. Not that bad any more. They have a small staging area now. In and out no issues. Still issue with the docks next to receiving office. Tight they are. Not the hell hole it use to be. Looks like some one from there has taken a look at what it was and trying to improve it. Which really shows. GOOD JOB who ever you are.👍🎩

Great place to load out of. We load out of here couple times a week. They are a top notch company that cares about there people and there product. Very professional and care about drivers. Always a great experience. In and out in a flash... ok not that fast but close.

Definitely improved in last 2 yrs I use to hate going here but recently was in and out with paperwork in under 2 hrs big difference then yes back used to get my 10hr restart here....just make sure your lumper check is ready when done that can hold u up...no overnight parking still only come a hr before appt or they will turn u around and make u come back....

Still slow here. Had a 2300 appt time got a door at 1am it is almost 4am and they are now starting to unload me.This place has always been slow. I do like the staging area. Better then parking on the little road to the docks.No overnight parking. There should be with these slow unload times.

This place is a Joke! Let’s begin with the lack of real leadership in management and safety and their ineptitude to resolve the flow of traffic on their property and the bottleneck created in front of the receiving docks adjacent to the Shipping and Receiving office. RIDICULOUS!!! This is inefficient and contributes to the long wait times. My appointment was at 01:00 and was not called until 02:45. It is now 05:15 and I have still yet to be unloaded. Second, let’s talk about the rude woman in the receiving office. I called for an update and all I got was attitude. She obviously deals every day with the backlash of leadership’s inability to solve problems at this facility. I’ve been to several Burris locations and this by far is the worse. In fact, I’ll never return. It’s not worth the disrespect toward time and human dignity which is apparently all they are good at offering here. What a disgrace to the rest of the company and to the Burris brand. SHAMEFUL. If I were the executive team I’d be looking razor sharp into the operations at this facility. If you choose to come here don’t say you have not been warned. I just hope you read this review before it’s too late. Best of luck!

Easy to find right off interstate fast less than an hour

Rudest receiving department I have dealt with in my 25 years of driving. I have been in the dock with doors open on a -10 degree load for 2 hours and they have yet to start unloading. Called them to find out what was going on and was hung up on by the lady in receiving. While waiting I witness one of their company drivers hit a trailer while pulling out. If you can avoid this place do so like you would try to avoid catching aids.....

Terrible experience here, checked in at 0031 for a 0100 appointment called to a door around 0345 needless to say Im not making my 0700 appt in Pocomoke MD. It is 0610 been unloaded for awhile now but no bills.I see other reviews where Burris apologized for bad experiences but heres a novel idea, do something about the obvious issues you have with getting trucks in and out in a timely fashion and you wont have to apologize for your laxadaisy crew and management. Everyone is on electronic logs and has to start their clocks to come here and to have wasted 6+ hours of my day and have driven 2 miles is ridiculous. Thanks for nothing Burris.

Dont think its a good experience no matter how you go about it because the other reviews I read but if you have a delivery here it seems best to plan on a minimum of being here 4 hrs and looking at paying $160.00 to be unloaded as well as having to pay by check or money order, they do not accept cards or any other forms of payment.

Worst place to deliver lady in receiving office is very rude

I give 3 stars because its not a bad place overall but its really long. I got my door at 7pm which is my appointment time but they didnt start unloading me before 8h10pm and I got my green light at 8h30pm. Now its 9h30pm and they didnt called yet to give me my papers and the guy that was being unloaded before me is still at his door too even though he has his green light since 8pm. I dont know why its so long to give us our papers! We have electronic logs they should go faster than that.

Happy Thanksgiving. Some had to work today. Going slow but whoever spotted this trailer was way off. No room for comfort.

Place is always slow 3 hours at the dock for one pallet. Zero stars if I could!Havent been here in about a month but nothing has changed unfortunately. I always bring one pallet when I come here, have been unloaded for 45 minutes still waiting on paperwork. Obviously if management gave a sh*t they would take time to address the problem not just respond with a reply stating they are sorry for your for your experience .

Why does Burris foods always say, get in touch with us and we will resolve your problem, or we will let the appropriate person know of this, just fix the problem, end of story, no reason someone had to wait 3 hours for one pallet, just fix it, nothing to talk about

Appointment 11pm got dock at 12 midnight 13 pallets delivery took 5 hours at the dock. Slow process no overnight parking they will allow you to come in the building an hour and 30 minutes before only. TA and flying J is 1 mile away.

Over 4 hours for 3 pallets, took the 3 pallets off within 10 minutes of me backing in. Wouldnt let me go for 4 hours, avoid this place, theyll just put some bs apology under this and do nothing about it

Why do these places have appointments. Appointment @11. Arrive 1030. Parked at small staging area. Wait on call. Received call at 1:30 for a door. Now you have to zig zag to find your door because trucks parked everywhere. Oh I’m still in the door it’s now 2:50 and they haven’t started on it.? Some places should just say we have a window 1st come 1st served bc they have no regards for drivers time. Not understanding time is money for us. Not use all their time here then let them go🤦🏾‍♀️

Slowest place I deliver to. Arrived at 10:30PM got a door at 2:30am. Plus another 3-4 hours to get unloaded and get bills back. This place is a joke they have one lady signing out 100+ trucks. They need need a new system for receiving. Every day its the same. SLOW. Better come here ready to do your 10 hour break. WORST PLACE TO DELIVER TO.

I had a awesome experience delivering here last night. The guards at the gate were spot on. The ladies in receiving were great. Must be a great place to work, because everyone seemed happy. I hope to deliver here again soon.

Its been awhile since I came here and wow... what a change. yes, change to better. checked in at the gate at 11:25 pm for 1:00am appointment. pretty quick and parked at parking lot A. waited for phone call, got a call at 12:20 am with door. drive up to door #37 check in at the receiving office beside it. hand in the bills and the lady will give you lumper fee. drive up to dock and wait for phone call, letting you know they are done unloading.got the lumber fee ready while they unloaded and I didnt even really noticed they unloaded. I was given door 7, they had plenty of room as only 3 docks together and some space between 3 docks. Before, they used the other docks where walls were so close and docks were all together, it was pretty rough trying to get in the dock. Also, improved on staging parking lot A. This wasnt there before and it was rough waiting for door, as trucks were parked along the drive way.unloading time is about the same, but with new staging area and using other docks with plenty space, (lucky if trailers not in front) its huge improvement. this place was probably the worst Burris to deliver. But maybe its new ownership, things have really improved.when you get a call after they are done unloading and counting, pull out the dock, drive around back to receiving office by door #37, hand in the lumper fee (checks) and wait for your bill.Best thing to do is get a parking reserved at TA only 1mile down. then go back after you are done. so you dont need to be in promises.

Unloaded in a timely manner

From when I got into the door (before my appointment) and out, even with lumpers, less than an hour. Still have indoor bathrooms and vending machines available to drivers. Thank you. That in itself deserves 5 stars.

Horrible! 1 of the 2 security guards was super aggressive and looking for confrontation, the other was very helpful. The layout and design of the building seems poorly designed, 7 hours to get in and out, after being turned around for showing up at 6:15 for a 7:00 appointment. Wont go back again, and someone needs to give that security guard a good talking to!

Great experience here, the best I have had at a delivery in a while, especially doing this pandemic. Had a 1900 appointment arrived at 1800, checked in at guard gate....security guard was super cool, even welcomed me to Burris, since it was my 1st time. Proceeded to the staging area to wait for a call to bring in my paperwork and get a door. Which had to be all of 30 minutes, got in a door and was done an unloaded by 2000. Never have been unloaded that quick in my 20 years of trucking. Ohhh an another good thing is they gave me my lumper fee, while I was going to the door, so I think that made the process that much better. Great place, would love to deliver here again!!

The unloaded time was good but should not be charged for getting unloaded early with everything going on place should want there stuff before time
