All my visits have been great. The clerks have been very polite, helpful, patient, and efficient. I have no complaints about the in-person service that theyve provided for me.

This is crazy over a week since I got a package says undeliverable because no secure location I live in Roosevelt center we have buzzers all they have to do is buzz my door I was here both times they tried delivering and now says it can’t be redelivered I can’t go down there as my husband works and I have seizures so no way to get to the po . Very frustrating. I will add that they said one of my packages got delivered in my mailbox but it was not there.

Other than when I call this post office is very efficient and friendly staff. I enjoy the services and staff. Just never I repeat never try to call and handle things or ask over the phone its a waste of time and energy.

Is there a way to give them 10 negative stars? Expect much better service from pigeons or the pony express. If your mail gets delivered through this office, never have anything important sent to you via usps. We tried to do a temporary forward while out of town for several weeks and every time we called, after waiting on the phone for a half hour until they answer, they said your mail is in Indianapolis at central forwarding. A few days before we ready to go back home we called and they said we have a big pile of mail waiting for you and we are about to send it all back. THEY NEVER FORWARDED IT WHILE TELLING US THE WHOLE TIME THEY DIDNT HAVE IT AND MAKING US SPEND HOURS ON THE PHONE. We plan to do everything online possible and eliminate the need for them. USPS has long been a necessary evil but are they really necessary anymore? Also we are constantly having to deliver mail to neighbors or go to the neighbors to get ours. We even get mail for people who live across town.

I visited this depot purely for the fact that so many reviews are bad. When I asked for a roll of 2cent stamps the employee acted both surprised and suspicious. She questioned me twice as to why I wanted them. Then relented and informed me they no longer come in a roll and sold me a 100 pack. How I stamp my postage is not the concern of postal employees unless its not enough to deliver to my recipient. There was no air conditioning inside the building and it was very hot waiting in line, although the wait was quite short. All of the packaging kiosks were adequately filled. Passport services are available at this branch. There are P. O. Boxes available at this branch. While taking a picture for this review another customer speaking with a postal employee became suspicious and asked me to delete my picture. The employee was helpful with the situation and even offered to bag the stamps I had just purchased. Overall this branch seemed to run quickly and efficiently.

My postman doesnt deliver packages anymore. have to go pick them up at the post office even if they are small. i cannot aways get them due to work so i have lost money due to packages being sent back.

They are all rude and need to be Re-trained on customer service big time. In this day and age you would really think people would watch how they talk to people but I guess not. So I definitely wouldn’t be surprised if one day somebody does catch the wrong person on the wrong day and get what they been asking for. Something needs to be done about this Customer service issue as I see in all the other reviews it has not ever been taken care of.

Just moved here and found that the delivery man is very rude and talks about everyone behind their back. Then makes remarks your lucky you get your mail. Need to look into professional training or find proper people and get rid of him.

They had a quick service, even though I had almost 10 people infront of me. All cashiers were at their desk (5 people) and we were hardly in line for 3-5 minutes. There is enough space to stand inside, so thankfully you wont freeze in the cold. Plenty of parking outside on the street and next to the building(for free I believe). They are also open on Sundays in December incase you were planning on coming on the weekend. Some pens inside may not work, so best to bring your own. Some people standing in line were 6ft apart and having a mask is mandatory. They accept cash and credit cards and have plenty of post boxes inside.I only had to mail 6 postcards domestically and two international. The cashier was able to provide the requisite number of stamps quickly and we also bought extra forever stamps. She was super quick and courteous that made the entire process so much easier. They refuse to knock on the door for packages that require signatures and instead leave just the note on the door, right next to my note saying to knock. I was sitting by the door all morning for the package.

I was accidentally given the wrong address for a package. When I got the correct address, I tried to call since I live out of state with the correct hours, no one answered the phone. I tried calling 2 days in a row.

I’ve always had good customerservice, and my mail delivered on time! The mailman delivering is always nice.

Let me just start by saying, I have never in myLife had to contact the post office for anything or ever had problems with my mail being delivered. Since I have moved to Elkhart over a year ago, I could not even tell you how many issues I’ve had and how many times I’ve had to contact them for messing up something. I couldn’t even count on one hand how many times they’ve had my package and then sent it elsewhere, currently I have a package that is in PA that was ACCEPTED BY Elkhart post office 12/3, why was it sent to PA in the first place when they had my package? And now it’s just sitting there for 4 days. Then on at least 3 occasions that I can think of, they’ve said my packages couldn’t be delivered in the system, when I spent over an hour EACH TIME calling them because they don’t answer the phone, I finally get a hold of them for them to tell me that they HAVE MY PACKAGE and have no idea who marked as undeliverable or why. It’s absolutely unacceptable. Someone needs to figure out what is going on at the post office, considering there are nothing but negative reviews for years, and fix it.

How Is it that mail is now delivered somewhat sporadically since Amazon discontinued delivery of products? Since USPS allegedly replaced our newspaper delivery from private contractors to USPS DELIVERY, we have had pretty good service. So, why did you FALL DOWN on daily mail service? Most of the delivery occurs VERY LATE in the day or in the dark. NO EXCUSES! Hire more people, or continue to raise rates by exorbitant percentages annually as always. OR, learn how to manage your local, state and national business properly. NO EXCUSES!I don’t expect a response. But, if you have a reasonable one, please do respond.

It is 5:30 and still NO mail. Our mail is usually delivered by 1:30 to 2:00 when regular carrier is on. Substitute does not do a very good job. If it is not delivered today we will not get it until Tuesday. Poor service.

Efficient service

Perhaps the most incompetent branch of any post office in the United States. No mail for two days. Consistently mixing up the mail with other businesses on the same road. Mail on Saturdays is not a certainty. And now we have no mail delivery at all. The entire management staff should be fired immediately.

I have been waiting for my package for 2 months. ordered it on apr 30 and havent been updated on its location since may 15. usps wont let me talk to anyone. tried filing a case and nothing was done about it. overall awful service. especially after only getting automated messages for 2 months.

I ordered a center console arm rest clip on Ebay the 30th of July for my broken clip on my 2000 Ford Ranger and its still pending for acceptance at this postal station and I live in NC! This is the slowest of postal stations overall like seriously.

Dont bother calling. Their phone system is messed up and you cannot hear anything they are saying.

Our mail is being delivered to our neighbors and other peoples mail is being delivered to us. I prefer that people dont have to drive to our house to give us our mail. Our address number is clearly marked with green sign so there is no excuse for all these incorrect deliveries. Maybe the carrier needs glasses or they are in such a hurry that they just stuff the mail wherever is handy. Also the 800 number is a joke as far as getting to report a problem.

I have started using this post office regularly and found even with a small staff they have made accommodations to assist customers with efficiency and friendliness! Thankful for their kind and helpful demeanor with me and my two babies. Happy Momma

If I could give this office less than one star I would. I have been at the same address for 9 years and they have still not been able to locate me for packages and important mail. I’ve had to have packages sent to my parents and my office. I have had to ask my employer not to mail my w2s to my home because this post office fails to get me my mail. I have missed bills and court notices. I have shown up at this office and begged for my mail and still had it returned to sender because they cannot find my address.

My mail is ALWAYS delivered around the same time EVERYDAY. My mail carrier is always friendly and polite. Im reading all the bad reviews and i feel lucky to have the postal worker lady that i have.

Mail was on hold last week ending last Saturday. Received confirmation last Saturday that it was ended. Receiving current mail but have not received any mail from the past week. Called 888 number and took some time to get in line for an agent. At 35-55 minute wait. Found local office number. Called and it went to a voice mail box that is full. Sounds like we have problems here. Oh, and there is a several minute service announcement that you have to listen to that is about an event in another part of the country. Cant get around it. Also, you have to wait for the survey until you talk to an agent.

They never answer the phone.Carrier doesnt fill out 3849 to tell me why my package wasnt delivered - so I dont know if I need to go in or wait for the next day.Carrier swearing at me at the door for taking too long to sign.Carrier never attempts to collect postage due, simply leaves a note and makes me drive in.Created package receptacle for expensive incoming package during very rainy day. It was next to my doorstep and labeled Dry Packages in 72pt font. I watched the carrier drop my package from standing height and simply ignore the dry receptacle.No only is my carrier the worst Ive ever encountered, but this is also the worst PO location Ive ever visited. Ive done my carriers job in two states in the past and this place is a gigantic joke of a post office compared to others.

Service is average. Theres usually a long line here. Sometimes I feel it would be nice if they could stay open a bit longer, but this isnt really something I can complain about.

I called and called to make a passport appointment. No one answers the phone. The memory is full per the recording so you cant leave a message. Rarely do staff smile in this office. I would rather go to any other office, even to MI rather than go to this office. I buy my stamps at pharmacies or grocery stores

Worst customer service ever, I called the number posted on the website literally at least 50 or more times each time waiting till the call timed out and disconnected from no answer. I spent close to a half an hour just calling the stupid place no one answered a single time, also there is no machine set up to even talk to a computer or leave a message. You people clearly dont know what goes on back there. Millions of pieces of mail coming and going, as well as parcels, and each item being handled with priority. Are you really complaining because you heard laughter? What those people accomplish each day is amazing and extraordinary. Im not sure how they find reasons to laugh, but God bless them if and when they do.

I live in n.j. my friend mailed 2 letters on 26th and 27th of August it is Sept 7th and still havent received not one.do they still use horse and buggy

USPS IS A JOKE. I just went in today to see if I could pickup my package because my tracking info stated it was in transit this morning as of 10am, at the elkhart location and it was due to be delivered tomorrow. I stood in line for 10 min while listening to the only woman on register complain and talk down her coworker about something she did wrong while there was 4 other people in line behind me and no one was being taken care of. When she finally stopped what she was doing, I went up front and she has a huge attitude at me. I asked her about my package and if she could look it up for me, she proceeded to tell me no real nasty like with no explanation why, and when I asked she told me the stuff from this morning wasn’t unwrapped yet from Fed Ex. Anyways she was extremely rude to me and wouldn’t even take the time to help me. I’m really disgusted with this behavior. It shouldn’t be this hard. This isn’t even the first time I’ve had problems, I’m reluctant to even give them one star, but I have to pet the review.

I went in to renew my passport prepared for a kafkaesque tangle in a purgatory of bureaucratic red tape. I was wrong. I came prepared, so the kind and funny clerk had me out of there in about six (6) minutes flat. My recommendations: Be prepared, know what you need to bring and have it out and ready. Bring a checkbook, you can write checks while the clerk is photocopying your documents. Lastly, park in the side lot; the on-street parking can be a nightmare to pull out of if a train is passing across Main.

The place runs as smoothly as possible given the little staff they have. People go above and beyond for countless hours to help each customer as much as they can. This office does need a secretary to answer the phone #1 complaint NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE. Point taken. Some are friendlier then others but all the staff cares. Elkhart has a bad record but the carriers and clerks really do try and give as much help as possible. Also they provided me tape when going priority.

Speaking on my familys behalf from my 12 year sons account. Because this review was prompted because they lost an Amazon package that he paid for. As always its the same lies and excuses. It all boils down to incompetent lazy individuals that dont even possess common sense let alone the ability to understand how to match up an address and a piece of mail that matches the address.

I gave one star only because it was required to click at least one. ve been calling for two days straight and nobody answers. They delivered an important package to the wrong house (after delivering two packages to the correct house on the same day.....wth?) and refuse to deal with it.

We moved here 6 months ago and have had no end of problems. (ZERO trouble with Fed Ex or UPS). They deliver our things to wrong addresses constantly despite large numbers on both house and garage. Theyve also left cards for redelivery of odd mail, but dont follow through and we have to go to th PO every time. One ex. was the carrier decided to stop delivering our mail because they couldnt fit all in one day...so they held it at PO claiming mail was not being collected! Redelivery option checked on the card they left was of course not honored. Latest example was someone leaving Christmas cards in our box, and since we didnt know it before mail delivery, the carrier confiscated them and now we have to wait a couple days and go to PO and pay postage to receive them. I realize our box is considered government property, but tell me what kind of jerk doesnt leave the Christmas cards there to be collected with the mail? My 8 year old is also now missing a package she spent all her Christmas money on which tracking says was delivered days ago and theres zero way to get through the rediculous phone system to speak to anyone... another trip to PO. (Hope it yields her stuff!!)UPDATE!! After going in to PO to receive missing items:The Christmas cards are MIA, the package we located at a vacationing neighbors property.Frank at the PO was extremely patient and kind searching for our missing mail and made sure the supervisor got all the necessary info to look into our situation with the carrier. I believe, because of his assistance, we will end up recovering the lost stuff and maybe help the carrier improve!

Looking for packages that state were delivered that were not. It really sad because it was Christmas presents we were waiting on and never got. so why did they say it was delivered. Im so upset and un-trusting now of my carrier. How sad. We ordered them in plenty of time and they were not delivered.

The staff is friendly and helpful until theyre at fault for something. Earlier this month one of my packages hadnt been delivered. Upon calling, they discovered that my package had been misdelivered to a house a few blocks away. They then asked for my number, swearing to call me back as soon as they got to the bottom of it, and so I gave it to them. Not only did they never call back, but any time I tried to call after, nobody would pick up. I cant help but suspect that they took my number solely to avoid any further confrontation. I understand that mistakes happen in any profession, but their handling of it was more than disappointing.

Elkhart has the worst post office ive seen, they blow everything off it is the worst business i have had to deal with, they have taken ineffency to the highest level they can....i have a p.o. box because they cannot find my house, and i live 1 block away from the post office...true story...the reason they dont answer the phones is cause they would have to speak in sentences...hard enough to figure the numbers out...update..2 weeks later now the supervisor who promised me she would call me within a day has never called...the postmaster generals office in washington gave me a case number and said if i hadnt heard anything in 48-72 hrs to call them, which i did...still no return phone call from them...this is hillarious they got trained from the best i guess...the whole mail system is so messed up good luck, yaall

Terrible customer service, loses mail almost all the time or they place it in the incorrect mailbox, and needs to have the post office open a little longer. Theres a post office in Elkhart that on Sundays.

They cant seem to find my address that i have lived at for a year. They keep returning my mail as undeliverable and getting my credit card, bank accounts, 401k accounts suspended. I have talked with the post master 4 times. And still they cant get this fixed. They keep telling me my address does not exist. Well its what the city have me.

Unfortunately you cannot give zero stars. Four packages in the last year have disappeared. When you call, no answer. Ever. When you email through the USPS site, you get an automated response. When you go inside, supervisors and managers are NEVER available. This is exactly the reason the USPS hemorrhages money! Obviously theft and still ongoing. Business is going back to FEDEX and UPS.

This place is worthless, they never answer their phones. I just moved here to Elkhart and Im so disappointed with USPService never had I had anything missing from my previous county. And yesterday they suppostly deliver my daughters ester gift I looked at my mail locker and it wasnt there. Went and visited to find out where to place my mailbox for a new construction with no response and then tried to call 4 times. All 4 times no one answers the phone it rings and rings until it disconnects.

Im reporting this post office. Ive been calling them for a week and no answer, has two other surrounding post offices call and email them and still no answer. I cant even tell them to hold some jewelry going to the wrong address. Its ashame that people have to go through all that and still no call back.

I cant say anything good about this post office. The lobby hours are posted they open at 6 and Windows are open at 7:30 I have gone down 3 times in the last 2 weeks and they havent opened the doors at 6. If you are not going to open for people to pick up their mail from their PO Boxes then change the times on your doors. When you call you never can talk to anyone. When you have to go to the windows they only usually have one person working and I feel so bad for her as she wants to help everyone but cant do it all.

Expected my delivery today, literally watch the driver come deliver the mail and after the carrier left no package delivered. When I checked this website it said could not deliver because my mailbox didnt have the right size. Ive never known anyone carrier not to drop it off on my doorstep. Severally upset and cant get ahold of USPS to get my package today at local postal offices.

I paid for a PO Box address, signed up for automatic renewal only to come into the post office to check for mail and find me locked out of my po box. I went to discuss this issue with the staff and was rushed out the door at 5:25pm and was told to bring my receipts at 7am the next morning. I get to the office in the morning and call the 1-800 number to make a complaint. They escalated a call to the station manager to give me a return cal - Havent received it to date. So i fax over my receipts for verification of payment and no call to date. The customer service is poor, very unpleasant and they do not assist the customers. Ridiculous office and just to think we are paying for the service. I will be closing my account today.
