Told them to swap the brakes, and guess what? They didnt do it. Not for any other reason than integrity and honesty. Brakes didnt need changed and rotors were fine and I was prepared to pay an inspection fee, but didnt even get charged that. If youve been taken advantage of, give them a shot!

Ive had Elk River Precision Tune Auto Care work on numerous vehicles in our household over the years. My wife and I moved to Elk River. We used to get our vehicle repairs done by family business. We have been to Precision Tune a few times with our old drive around car. It has over 250,000 miles on it. It would be easy to push sales you need this, that, and the other thing. The exhaust started sounding loud. Andy replaced the exhaust gasket. He could have easily put a new exhaust on and we wouldnt have known different. Andy is honest. He fixes what you ask without taking you to the cleaners. He is reasonably priced. Go to Precision Tune in Elk River, you wont be disappointed.

Andy is the owner. Hes local and family owned. He and his son are the knowledgeable mechanics that do the job right. I brought my vehicle to him for an alignment and several different issues. He recommended the right repair for the vehicle and for me. I had the vehicle at a different shop prior to Precision and they told me it needed ball joints and wheel bearings. Andy showed me first hand what he saw and advised it wasnt worth it right now. HONEST! He took work from himself to be honest and give the recommendation he would give himself. I also had a fuel pump that needed to get moved. Another shop told me 3-4 hours @ $135hr and Andy did it for 1.5 hours at a cheaper price per hour. Use him or lose him.

These guys are the best! Its hard to find an honest mechanic this day in age but I found one in Precision Tune of Elk River. Andy wont let you drive your car off the lot until its 100% safe and will do it in record time. Even though I am a woman (sexist, I know but its a sad but true fact) I know a lot about cars. They have never tried to take advantage of the fact that I am just a girl. They have never tried to sell me on anything I didnt need. This is a great group of hard-working guys. I have been so beyond pleased with my experiences there time and time again, I cannot even begin to explain. I actively recommend them to everyone in our area. THANKS GUYS, YOURE AWESOME!!!

First visit was great! My cars battery wouldnt hold a charge and since the battery was under 3 years old, I thought it must be something more serious. They took a look at it and it turned out, the battery was in fact bad. Since it was still under warranty, I have to go back to where I got it to get a replacement. I was very impressed that they were honest with me and didnt try to sell me something I didnt need. Its sad that this isnt the case everywhere but it isnt. I only had a very small labor charge for them to take a look at it, which is also not the case everywhere. I had them change my oil while it was there which was also reasonable without up-sales. I just moved to Elk River and I needed a mechanic. Given this experience, I will go back and let others know about them!

I needed a few different repairs made on my 2007 Tahoe, and they got me in right away and did a great job on every repair I needed. They also provided me with a loaner car while they did the work, and completed everything I needed done within 24 hours of dropping it off. The prices were very fair, staff is friendly, and I highly recommend them and will definitely be using them again in the future for all my auto repair needs. Thank you!

Andy is great. I always drop my car off before the scheduled time (or even so last minute) and he gets it done quickly. A little more spendy than Walmart but you know your car is gunna get done quickly and carefully. Highly recommend!

Dropped my car off after hours with no appointment, left the keys and a note in the drop, and it was back on the road the next afternoon with a new alternator. Excellent service. Fair price.

Told me it was water pump put new water pump in still leaking so now its timing chain cover gasket and seals will never trust to work on any of my vehicles if he cant diagnose problems right not made out of money

Very accommodating to fit me in this and make the necessary repairs. On previous visit I was quoted a price over the phone based on the wrong information, the shop honored that price, without argument, and didnt even cover the cost of the parts. That kind of integrity deserves my business.

Work was done quickly but the price charged was $100 more than the quote for the most expensive possible part I received from the Neighborhood Mechanic. Live and learn.

I have shopped around and i always get second oppinions. Precision is just always the cheapest in town. No bs or scams. Never had any problems at precision.

We have a variety of high milage cars and I always use this shop to address issues that arise with the cars. These mechanics are knowledgable, fair, and complete the work quickly. There are always coupons available (on grocery reciepts, mailings) for any general work.

They were honest about what needed to be fixed and what didnt need to be fixed and the price was lower than other places I checked.

Called in for alignment and got John on the phone. Now, I dont know if he had a bad day or thats the way he is with all customers, he was beyond rude, unprofessional and snotty with his answers. Most importantly, irrelevant, he asked me if the vehicle that we were looking to bring in for alignment has a salvage title. It does not John....it does not. Clearly they dont want your business, or perhaps it was my accent.Do Not Go There.
