I went there a a couple years ago.and it was the most disgusting facility .nasty people Ive ever meet I was there for running away from a group home and made suicidal comments.first day they told me I had to take off my cloths and shoes I was very nervous and did not know these people at all I didnt trust them first 5 min they called security put me in a white box threw me on the ground and strap me to a bed and shot me up with something Dr Bennett was a real scum bag forced me on every type of drug half the time I didnt know what I was on it just zombie me out.i was there for over 8 MONTH it was hell Got no help at all made me worse if anything and Im 21 know have not been on meds since. Im completely sane and successful they want to make you feel like you have more problems then you yourself knows. oh and if you talk to any one yall get punished just for talking and was not allowed to wright DONT EVER SEND YOUR KIDS HERE! Dont trust them thell make up diagnoses just to kept your kid there longer.very sick place.

I struggle with severe OCD and generalized anxiety disorder. i got admitted over three years ago for depression and suicidal thoughts. lemme just say this:if you are making the poor choice of sending your child here to receive treatment, be very prepared to hear complaints. and unfortunately they are COMPLETELY justified. the staff are awful, the environment represents a dirty prison or some type of punishment. the fellow patients tended to be very dangerous, and in times of crisis no staff member supported me as i was going through panic attacks.the rules. on the daily we had to recite the rules to the point where i memorized them in order being we did it so much. if you merely talked to your roomate healthily about your diagnoses or problems, you would automatically get a “program” for “negative subgrouping” meaning you had to sit in the hall and complete countless educational packets. the social workers tend to be extremely unavailable. the hospital in general has such a lack of support, compassion, and sensitivity for what the children are going through.i ended up staying for over three months. it. was. hell. it only caused me to form a mental dependency on such structure and increased my anxiety and panics. and for the record: this review is not out of immaturity because i got into a lot of trouble.. no.. i was on the highest level, never got in trouble, and did “everything i had to do”..be prepared if you make this decision to have your child view you a bit differently.

This place was terrible... Rats in the main areas for the children, the staff treated them terribly, cursing and yelling at them the room conditions was also just as bad, the only thing clean was the floors and thats only because the janitors cleaned them mold in the bedrooms and the bathrooms, the staff didnt really care for them and with small harmless little thing they got punished terribly.. Locked in their rooms losing simple restrictions this place wouldnt be somewhere you would want your kids to go to get better, it would only make them feel worst the food wasnt terrible but everything else was PLEASE DONT BRING YOUR CHILD HERE!!

I went there years ago because I struggled with depression and self harmed. This place is awful. They locked me up in the 3rd floor with a bunch of kids with anger problems, gang members, bipolar people and treated all of us like trash. Aside from that, they forcefully made me take a bunch of different medications I knew nothing about. They fed me JUNK FOOD and made me gain 20 lbs in 5 weeks because I couldnt do any physical activity and the pills were affecting me. I would constantly cry there because it was filthy, the people there were rude, some if my room mates were insane and dangerous and it was just a negative environment all that together. I am now 20 years old and my advice to a parent is: TAKE THEM ANYWHERE BUT THERE! This place wont help your kid and either theyll stay the same or worsen. Its all business and neglect there.
