This place isn’t worth it, yes some get the best experience but most of us don’t. it’s a joke. they steal your money and when you call they really don’t know what your talking about🙄🙄even during the beginning of the pandemic they took so much money
I keep getting random charges, i go into the gym and talk in person and the guys tell me they will wave the fees, couple days later the bank gets charged that fee.. i call back and they tell me they cant do anything about since the bank already took the money to speak with corporate. Corporate says they cant do anything about it. Its happened 3 times already, 75$ in 4 months. DO NOT JOIN EP FITNESS!!!. WASTE OF MONEY. Outdated machines, weights everywhere. No customer service.
Been going here for three years with very little issues. Big, spacious, and plenty of machines and a great price. Staff has been very friendly (which is extremely rare in El Paso). They really need to be 24/7. They could do some more deep cleaning more often. Need more mirrors around the free weights and more dumbbells for the amount of people.
Better working cleaning stations needed, and restrooms cleaned more regularly, other than that a good place to workout at.
Small but a great place to workout in. And the trainers are awsome
Staff are kind of jerks but what would you expect...new improvements are great...needs a better a/c system...Lotta people using the equipment i need when I go and dont restack weights where they belong...I recommend going when its not too busy. Which would be at 430 in the morning or during odd hours during the week and weekend...
Getting better. Would be nice to add another pulley station and improve the mens restroom
Hot as satans balls… No AC during the hottest months or ever. Cheap with free weights so is what it is…
The guy in the mornings has a great attitude makes people welcome to a great workout
You all close early a lot of businesses have resumed to regular hours
Not enough bars whatsoever waiter almost 45min for one smh
I paid my membership in full and when COVID hit us, the gym closed and the time went on....safety can possibly be measured to each their own and when I asked about extending my membership because of loss time or even for a refund for loss time I was told NO. Here is my paid in full receipt for an annual visit. Management did not budge or make recommendations or accommodate. Sadly.
So far it has been very good. They have a lot of stuff there to work out on and keep in shape
This gym use to be so well kept. Now its dirty and not at all maintain. The outside is full of trash, weeds, and a big pothole. The inside feels very unorganized and dirty. You hardly see anyone clean their machines, theres not a lot of paper towel areas. The machines are pretty outdated and not taken care of. Whoever owns this gym needs to invest some money into it. As soon as the other gyms start opening earlier I wont be keeping my membership at this gym.
Didnt like the charges i was getting without my approval. Was getting overcharged😡
As there is a sign on the front door to wear a mask, NO CUSTOMERS ARE ACTUALLY WEARING MASKS IN THE BUILDING. No customers are really social distancing. No temperature is being checked. At Dreams Cabaret all employees and customers are required to wear a mask at ALL TIMES and temperatures are being checked. That means dancers are doing cardio and pole tricks about 4 hours a night and STILL WEAR A MASK. WEARING A MASK SHOULD BE REQUIRED IN ALL PUBLIC PLACES. Forsure cancelling my membership after confronting the manager and seeing her react with laughter and ignorance.
Love the new modifications done to the gym. But can use more paper towel stations
It would be nice if they actually answered the phones .
The gym is always dirty! And by dirty I mean blood occasionally on the sinks, flooded restroom floors and equipment everywhere. Sometimes they go about a week to replace soap for restrooms and paper towels to wipe down equipment. Affordable prices but I would rather spend a bit more money for a nicer gym since I go everyday.
I love yoga classes and aerobic opportunities. I’ve been a member for more than 10 years. We’ve had ups down and changes but I consistently get a great workout. I just renewed my membership. $185 for a year of unlimited access+ 2 bonus months. Great gym, good people!
The main bad thing about this gym to me n the rocca on plaza circle they are very dirty, there is no napkins Or sprays near areas and also it would be nice if they would turn on the fans to air out the heat . The day care I gotta say it’s very very dirty I know that kids are only there for a short while but dam! I’m considering getting another gym because of the condition and how it has been let go.it would be a very nice gym if it was taken care of.
The staff is friendly, very friendly. Only downside is that the shower has one temperature of water and the sauna has been broken for months. The restrooms in the womens locker are consistently out of order and sometimes the daycare area smells weird, funky. However they have an abundant amount of machines, alot of free weights and great classes to attend. Also the daycare ladies are awesome.
Great Gym, old school feel, plenty of space and equipment!! Reminds me of the Original sweatbox
Its my gym but they could take better care of the place. Basketball court floor needs some serious attention.
Nobody wears mask staff dont care and machines are not being cleaned after used bench room looks like Carina virus fortress dont believe me go to this ep fitness just the heads up my people.
The management is horrible.
This review is based on customer service. I am traveling to El Paso later next month and wanted to know if my cycling shoes were compatible with the style of pedals they have at the facility so I called. David answered, but didn’t know the answer. So he took my info down and said he would call back. He did call me back when he said he would, he also did some research (Googling) to find the right answer to my question. I was so impressed he just didn’t say he didn’t know and gave up. David showed true customer service and I was highly impressed by his professionalism. Good job!!
I enjoy working out here. It seemed forgotten for a long time, but it is improving.
I am writing in reference to the Montwood location. I am requesting that the management take the initiative to clean the outside of the facility. The trash and weeds are overtaking the sidewalks. There has been trash along the rock wall since last year. I have been trying to contact via email but there is no access.
Great gym & staff at Montwood location but some equipment is old, dumbbells are never racked properly and are all over the floor! Theres no upkeep as far as broken shower heads, cables, machinery seats, treadmills, bicycle stations, etc. You would think they would have better maintenance on these issues but unfortunately not! 👎👎👎👎👎
It’s not perfect but I call this gym home.
Needs more weights for barbells, but staff are super friendly!
Since Roca closed I wanted to give this place a try. I never liked the Montwood location because it gets packed! First day: There were no towels to clean the machines, bathrooms were super dirty. Second Day: I went in the evening... so it was still dirty.. and pretty much you had to wait for a spot to open to workout. Third day: I went in the morning... still dirty.. trash was over filled with water bottles. It wasn’t as packed which was awesome..Overall, this place needs to be cleaned daily. If Roca on Montwood was still open I would chose that place over this one.
Friendly front staff! Too many misplaced weights. I enjoy working out here. Restrooms are always clean. I like the fact that paper towels are used to wipe down equipment instead of the cloth towels. They have a NEW place to buy healthy food after or before a workout that I have yet to try
One big concern: lately the group class room has being without air conditioner so when the room gets too hot some people opens up the emergency door to circulate the air, but now this is what somebody from management did to the EMERGENCY door, theres a wire tied up to shot the door closed. You figure out my concern...
Its a great place for parents, since they have daycare along with the updated machines. Its a bit pricey but worth it. Locker room/ sauna/ bathtooms could use some tlc. Staff is very respectful and courteous.
Great facilities, all the latest hammer strength equipment. The people are friendly and the ladies are very fit and gorgeous of all ages.
They need to fix the pavement of the parking lot because theres Potholes That can damage your wheels
The dude up front great guy a lot of knowledge and in the morning it doesnt get crowded thats a plus
Yeah i am about to cancel my membership cause the ac doesnt work...its freakn texas
Looks like the janitor didnt show up today. This place is filthy. Bathroom is flooded and the whole place smells like urine. Normally its not like this but pretty obvious that theres nobody cleaning today.
The classes are fun and the trainers are nice, however they never have enough free weights available, the TVs on the machines arent clear, the yoga mats ate dirty so bring your own. I will only recommend you join this gym if you want classes, other then that its a waste
Everyone needs to chill out. The gym isnt suppose to be all neat and clean. Its just right to get a good quality workout in, its not horrible, its a good gym and has good equipment.
I have had a gym membership with this company for 15 years. I work for them for five years. At one time this gym took pride in their gyms but now I have not been to one gym where the equipment isnt falling apart. All the rubber weights are missing enough weight on them that when doing individual curls you feel the weight difference. When I use the machines either the padding is worn or the plastic covering is torn. The towels to wipe equipment off smells. The floors are always dirty. The restrooms are disgusting. The staff is always on their cellphone texting instead of picking up equipment or helping. When they do open their mouths its some snot nose child who dose not know the difference from placing equipment down and throwing. Unfortunately they have the most gyms in town and are the most convenient.
I love this gym. classes are great. It has a steam room that works all the time and the only occasion it was repaired, staff did it in less than one day. I would give them more than 5 starts if I could.
I am one of those health and fitness nuts that goes to the gym twice a day, in the early morning when they open and the early afternoon. With that being said, here is my thoughts and/or opinion on this gym location.Facility: Like their competitor (Gold’s), it is very spacious and unlike Gold’s, this location has a basketball court for indoor recreation as El Paso can get very hot. Where this gym lacks is pride and their inability to keep the gym clean and enforce rules especially, re-racking weights. This is where my frustration grows. When I come in the early morning, equipment is scattered throughout the whole gym and it can be virtually impossible to find weights.Equipment: This gym offers a lot more variety and a lot more different machines than Golds. I will say that their equipment is between modern and “Vintage.” Some of their weights look fairly “Up to date”, to where other equipment looks like they were purchased at a foreclosed gym in Mexico. Gold’s doesn’t have as much equipment but I will say that their equipment is more up to date.Personal Training: Unlike Gold’s, EP Fitness’ trainers at least look the part. It also looks like they juggle multiple clients at once instead of one on one (and given that the members didn’t come in as a friends group). I’m sure you can ask for a more one in one though if that’s your preference.Staff: Front desk staff ultimately is friendly and greet you upon entering the gym. My only issue and/or concern with management is that they don’t ensure the night crew is enforcing rules, again especially when it comes to re-racking, or caring for the gym. To reiterate again, they gym is completely trashed, dirty and weights scattered everywhere. Even though they have huge banners that say “Re-rack weights,” not many people do it. It becomes a scavenger hunt for weights especially, the free weights/dumbbell area.Pictures posted from when I arrive at 0430 in the morning.Hope this review helps.Good Luck!!
It says they open at 8am today (Sunday). I called yesterday to verify because a lot of times the hours on the website are incorrect and yes they said 8am. Got there right at 8 and it was not open. Me along with several other people were waiting and waiting. I stayed until 830 and they still hadn’t opened. Waste of time trying to get there early and they don’t open on time. This happens ALOT. This is not the first time it has happened. Time to find a gym that is actually open when they say they are.
This place will over charge you. They overcharged the annual fee, childcare, and monthly charge, several times. Although they credit it my account for some, they still owe me. Word of advice: check your bank account every month and keep an eye on the annual fees. They charged me 3 times in one year.
Wonderful place to work out but the restroom are never kept up toilet paper never stocked and the weights that you need you have to go look for them.
Quality gym offering a variety of machine, free weight, and cardio options for fitness and training. Equipment is in working order. Personal trainers are availble for group or individual sessions. There are youth Karate classes during the week and a full court basketball gym. Cycling and group class throught the week. The music in the gym provides for a mix of genres all suitable to sweat to. The office staff is geneally friendly. Moreover, child care is also available, for a fee for gym patrons. Overall a solid gym. My only complaint is 10 pound plates must be sought for and 5 lbs or 2.5 lbs plates are non-existent. Dumbells are racked in a haphazard fashion too. Thats on patrons I guess. I recommend this gym.
The weights are never put back to rack, it is very difficult to find and you have to hunt for them, unorganized. The floor is dirty, so are all bathrooms, theyre old and ugly. Will not go back to this gym.
Free eight area. No ventilation
Lots of machines and free weights. Many classes you can attend for free. Small indoor track. Classes like yoga, zumba, karate, and spin.
This gym is joke, they steal you money, manager s dont know whats going on., staff allways rude and cussing all times in front customers, machines broke they never fix anything, manager dont care, Never clean supplies .
This gym has improved somewhat over the last year, but it still falls short of being welcoming. The staffs people skills need some work. It often feels that theyre forced to say hello, and many times they dont even do that. The equipment itself is worn out because noone here takes care of it. Weights are often dropped and members who dont know how to use the equipment use it wrong. If you use free weights, come prepared to spend half your time looking for the weights you need since they wont be on the racks.
Great gym. I love that they have daycare..
This gym is actually really nice. Wish I was able to lift here at this location more often. I like the overall layout and their staff is nice and helpful. Not sure why people have expessed negativity towards the staff. Ive been working out at Roca and EP Fitness for years and Ive never had an issue other than Jeetz turning me down for a date and the awful music they used to play at the Roca I usually go to. When I expressed my concern about the music they were playing, the playlist was literally changed the next day.
105 degrees out and their airconditoner doesnt work
Great gym to work out in, but also at times it does get crowded and can make a workout take longer than expected.
Cant remember the last time this gym had AC.
Cleanliness definitely isnt a priority at this gym. Rules are posted, but hardly followed. It has the potential to be a good gym, but needs new management, workers that actually work, and rules that are actually followed.
Dont open up on time. Happens alot
I only give it four because some of the machines dont read your heart rate The staff in my experience have been amazing the staff in the childcare have been awesome a well w are happy i wish theyd fix them machines though and maybe organize the weights in there proper place
Great place to exercise! Excellent equipment! Plenty of space to workout. Helpful staff!
Great customer service from every staff! The manager Robert has a lot of patience!..& has great customer service skills..... Workout machines are clean, place is always clean and bathrooms are always clean..
I am rating EP fitness only with one start because they do not have a negative scale. They are not military friendly at all and over priced. I have had a mentorship with them for 15 months and paid in full when I started. I had to deploy and when I came back they wanted me to renew at a higher price. The EP fitness I all speaking about is the one in the north east on Rushing.
Equipment hoggers left and right. Bathroom was gross, found a dirty nasty bra someone forgot in the stall. And last time I checked the gym is a place where people go to work out to better themselves, but apparently the girls think the gym is a fashion show and a competition to see who has the shortest shorts.
Weights are just stacked anywhere. The paper towels and cleaning solution were not in the same spot...
The gym equipment is alright, this is not my issue with the gym.The problem with the gym is everything else. This includes not having a working steam room in the male locker room.If you wanted to shower there also, I would NOT recommend this, as there is mold in the showers. The water fountains are hot, this is a no brainer.& if you want to go to the gym, it better be at 430AM because if you go 5-9pm, good luck doing anything.Definitely moving gyms ASAP.
I have four months trying to cancel my membership, they can’t help you at the location you have to send it by mail, but they never got it even when is mail certified,
This gym is absolute garbage. Every visit is guaranteed to have broken equipment, dirty bathrooms, molding showers, collapsing basketball courts, and incompetent staff. Do not buy a membership here because they WILL rip you off (minimum 200 dollars) and there is nothing you can do about it. Its the first scam gym that I have ever seen, and Im surprised people still workout here.
The only good thing about this gym is their amazing day care and staff but the gym sucks
Disgusting bathrooms that have no upkeep. Steam room never works. Floors are always soaked. Smells like ass all the time. The weights are always all over the place and have absolutely no organization method. The customer service is pathetic! Rarely greeted and never said to have a nice day on the way out. I cant believe this place calls itself the best gym in El Paso.
The staff is so friendly, which makes everyone that comes here happier.
Sooo disgusted the showers and be steam room are sooo dirty! This gym is dirty and so many things are broken. Trash! I’ll be going to golds gym to make sure I’m in a clean and healthy environment.
Owners dont take pride in their business. Run down equipment and bathrooms are disgusting. Tell attendants that equipment needs repair and NOTHING gets done. Comeon El Paso, we deserve better! Take your business elsewhere and send a message to these morons!
Bad front desk employees, old machines, and horrible music. Really bad hours too on weekends. Water is hot and gross. Dumb rules like no bags on the floor. Ran poorly.
Been coming here for years. Has everything I need, so no complaints.
Not the best gym for what i paid for but deserves 3 stars since gyms arent known for being spotless. It could use some new plates and organization with dumbbells but its pretty alright other than that.
Gym is always dirty, basketball courts are a joke (floor), free weights scattered everywhere, trainers will take a group of people to basketball courts to work out and not allow anyone to play, cycling class instructors are pathetic and have their little cliques that go in there and save a bunch of bikes for people that dont even show up.
Love working out here. Wish they were opened 24 7
One of the best gym in town. They have everything, and the best thing is that everyone is very friendly . Would recommend
So E P fitness refused to cancel my account over the phone even though some female said she was going to do it, then a guy said he did it, then some guy pretend to be the manager said I cant do it over the phone because they want me to come in to do it, well I do not live in El Paso any more and every time they try to charge my card I will write a review with a one star. #BBB
They have better machines than Lee Treviño, however customer service is not that good. Quite the opposite good customer service at Rocca Plaza.
They wont work with you when it comes to financial situations, but theyll be quick to take money when they want.
Love this place & my trainer Paola! 👍
3.9 Star
Ive been a member for almost a year. Its been a great facility to workout at. Lots of equipment so even at busy times there is plenty of equipment to use.
Customer service is mediocre. Kids club employees rarely greet you and are frequently on their phones either talking or texting. Extremely unprofessional.
Went and ask for prices looked like a clean place to go work out people who helped me., very honest and nice easy going people.
Big gym, tons of machines, great employees at the front
Equipment needs renewing, sauna has been OOS for too long. Good gym
Ive never had a problem with this gym, Ive been with them for two years and im only 18. They always treat me really nice and i dont have too pay that much either, i love it!
Too many treadmills are not working. Bathroom does smell Bad need sewer to be cleaned out.
Been my gym for years now. Its great
Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. They closed two gyms to make one big gym then make it seem like it was an upgrade. Cable Clips, bring your own. Cable Accessories, bring your own. Loose weights all over the place and the GM Valeria has nothing but excuses.
By far the worse customer service i have ever received. New to El Paso with no family or friends, my husband and i sought out to find a gym home. After discussing our needs for childcare with an Ep representative, we decided that Ep fitness was our gym of choice because child care was a must. After two weeks of attending Ep Fitness, i was stopped while dropping my child off. The representative stated, you have to pay for child care, and i responded its included in my membership. She then replied who signed you up, my response was, YOU!! She then proceeds to say, we never discussed child care. I was absolutely dumbfounded, this was my first issue! Secondly, after about two month we received calls from Ep Fitness, stating they missed some of the paperwork when signing us up and needed us to stop by the desk to complete the missing paperwork or our membership would be canceled. So my husband who goes to the gym at 4am every morning, completed the missing paperwork. The employees seem to be completely incompetent, but it doesnt stop there. Today December 11, 2017, i was reviewing my account and noticed two additional charges from Ep Fitness; so i called to inquire about the charges. The Women who answered the phone explained one charge was for the annual fee and the other was a return fee. I explained to the representative that i was never made aware of an annual fee, if i had been the money would have been available. We have Never had an issue with our payment, so would there be an issue now? I then explained that we never received a copy of the contract, her response was, your more than welcome to come in and speak to the manager and hung up on me. I am at a complete loss of words for the piss poor customer service offered at this gym. Ep Fitness needs to hire more qualified people or provide better training!!!
Love the daycare they have for the kids.
Basketball court inside gets decent games around 5pm
