The Barber did not have the experience/ the knowledge of giving haircuts. My hair was super bad, and so did my beard. I did not appreciate that

Salaar was such a great barber, he took his time but it wasn’t too long like other cuts I’ve had in the past. A hole in the wall place, a hidden gem of El Cajon. Salaar has done one of the best fades I’ve had. Highly recommend!

So I understand the COVID related circumstances but with that being said, it should not take 2 and a half hours to go through 2 haircuts. Terrible service took way too long for a mediocre haircut. If you want to waste your day waiting for a haircut this place is perfect for you.

Ive been getting my haircut here for three years now, and Salar is unbeatable. He is meticulous and makes sure each customer gets everything they want. He also does threading and straight razor work. And another thing - he stays open way later than the store hours listed. If hes got a customer waiting, he cuts their hair. Its almost 9:30 now and although he was supposed to quit at 8 hes still going. Great barber with great style. Clear your schedule and give him a try.

I went to this place for the first time and it was real nice. He helped me with what I wanted for my haircut. And when he was done, I got a huge amount of comments on my hair. Awful. Came in on Sunday waited about an hour and a half, kept telling me Im next but always took a new customer. I even called in and asked if I should make an appointment, he said no it was walk in friendly but after I got tired of waiting I left to go to another barber shop.

Chill spot to get a good priced haircut

I had a local barber that kept raising the prices on me and his schedule kept getting more and more limited. I got fed up and went looking for a new barber and stumbled on this place. There can be a slight wait because its only one barber but for the quality of the haircut and the price you simply cant beat it. My best advice is to avoid high foot traffic hours, other than that on average its one to two people ahead of you when you walk in.

I always give him a $20 even though my hair cut cost half that amount, because of how fast, friendly, and how great he cuts my hair. He has a huge knowledge on technique and types of haircuts. Likes to hold conversation pretty well. Couches are also very comfortable and its in a quieter part of el cajon mostly.
