Dont use this mechanic. I was pressured by this mechanic to change my negative reviews to positive reviews just to get my truck back from both Google and yelp.I spent 3,400 dollars to repair the rough idle and AFM system on my 2011 Silverado. The truck was still rough idling upon pickup but I was tired of dealing with this mechanic and his practices that are questionable at best. Fast forward a couple months cylinder 4 is misfiring bad and Im sure I just blew something apart on start-up. This mechanic is fully responsible.

AJ is an honest mechanic. Yes, i said it. He will give you an honest opinion on what needs to be done even if it means less than what you think needs to be done. Highly recommended

If you need anything done to your car I highly recommend going to Joseph’s!!! When I first purchased my car it would make this faint rattling noise and was told it was normal by the previous owner. After a couple months the noise became louder and my car started to shake/vibrate. We recently stopped going to our family mechanic due to him taking on projects he couldn’t handle. I had no idea where to go especially with the fear of getting scammed and/or taken advantage of due to lack of knowledge when it came to cars. I decided to take my chance with this shop, they were completely nice from the get, and acknowledged all my concerns. I was able to drop off my car the day before in order to get it diagnosed the next day, which was extremely convenient and surprisingly my car’s repair was completed later that afternoon. One of the mechanics, I wish i had gotten his name (the tall one) was very patient with me and helped explain what was wrong with my car, what should be done, and why. They also provide a warranty for the car after 12k miles which really came in handy when my car a few days later was still making the rattling noise but come to find out it was an easy fix, some parts of my hood just needed to be tightened from something unrelated to the shops doing. The same guy was very kind and told me he’d get it done asap, free of charge. This completely took me off guard because any other place could of easily scammed me out of more money. All in all, thank you so much, I’m completely satisfied with my service and have/will refer all of my family/friends to Joseph’s!

I love AJ. I feel like he has my best interest at heart. He will not agree to fix something just so he can make money. His approach is conservative and cautionary. I trust whatever he recommends.

Wanted to take my 96 Toyota to them but they dont work on cars older than 98 due to lack of parts and information. The parts I can sort of understand, but isnt it their job to know about information pertaining to cars? Not talking vintage or anything, but a few decades old.They have great reviews so they must do good work. Sort of frustrating that they arent even willing to look at it.

8/26/2020: I took my vehicle in to have them diagnose a ticking sound coming from under the hood. I also told them that the vehicle would stall when starting. Fast forward 8 days later (It took them 8 days to complete a diagnosis, and they still wanted to keep it longer), I was told that the only diagnosis they did was drive my vehicle around and put miles on it as well as let it idle for long periods of time to try to replicate the noise...Within driving 20 miles, I heard a popping noise (like something exploded), the check engine light came on with a code P0300, white smoke started coming from under the hood, and oil leaking. I had to pull over off from the freeway and call a tow truck to get my car towed to another mechanics shop. Also this place charged me twice for a diagnostic. The first time I paid $105.00 when I dropped my vehicle off, the second time was when I picked it up.. An honest person would’ve told me I already paid, but instead they charged me twice. So I paid a total of $210 for them to damage my vehicle to the point that I will now need a whole new engine. My vehicle was later found to have a hole on the engine block behind the motor mount in the drivers side.I have already filed complaints with BBB and CA Bureau of Automotive Repair. I highly recommend you not take your vehicle here. I have paperwork, pictures of before and after their work done. This so called shop is responsible for $10k+ in damages. Very dishonest mechanic and very incompetent.

Quick and honest.

I was having problems with my car leaking. I wasn’t sure what was leaking because I was told it was the coolant and NOT oil when I took my car to another auto repair and they didn’t do a good job. AJ found the problem and kept my car overnight to ensure all leaks were gone. I’m very impressed because, he clean a lot of mess off my engine and he worked overtime to make sure I didn’t have any leaks. He didn’t rush because he wanted to make sure all leaks were gone and my car was safe for me to drive. OUTSTANDING JOB!! I HIGHLY recommend this auto repair shop. It’s worth the money and your car is worth having a “great” mechanic!! AWESOMENESS!!

For starters, this place should be called Honest Josephs Auto Repair. My family was on my way home to Arizona when my engine started over heating. Looked up mechanics near by and Josephs was the highest rated one around so thats where we went. Knowing that we were on our way home to AZ, AJ the owner could have over charged us for the repairs but he stuck to his integrity and charged us as he would any of his customers. He didnt try to push anything unnecessary onto us and only fixed what was broken. The service was quick, reliable, and most important, honest. After all was said and done he kindly asked us to send him a text when we got home to AZ safely because he wanted to make sure we made it. This may be the best experience Ive ever had with a mechanic. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get what you pay for. Thanks again AJ!

AJ is a phenomenal mechanic! What separates AJ from other mechanics is that he is an excellent communicator. I do not know much about cars, but he thoroughly explained what happened to my car and the solution for it. Definitely would recommended him to my friends and family!

AJ is the best! Air conditioning was only working intermittently on my Jetta TDI. I was told the compressor was failing. Called several shops and had quotes in the $1700-$2200 range. They all said I would have to have the condenser and expansion valve and other parts also replaced because when the compressor fails, the other components get damaged as well because metal shavings get into the lines from the damaged compressor. AJ said the compressor has a pump side and an electric side. He said in my case the problem was the electrical side and, after checking the lines to make sure, only replaced the compressor. He saved me at least $800.00. Take your car to AJ.

Rip off....spent $360 dollars to put in a fuel injecter I didnt need. Engine light came back on after 25 miles....never going to this shop again thats for sure
