Once we agree on the price and terms rest of the process was smooth. We just had to wait couple of days to get the SUV. Very good car buying experience..I would definitely recommend BMW of Edison.

Excellent experience with David Lutz from start to finish. Extremely attentive, informative and patient throughout the process. He sent me pictures of the car detailing the good and bad, put the car on a courtesy hold for me since I was buying from out of state and needed to schedule the pick-up and when I made it down he offered to pick me up in my new truck without me even thinking of asking. I told him the car I was trading which was a 2018 Mini Cooper Countryman and what I was looking into and when we went for a walk to look at my oldcar he told me straight up I won’t be leaving with it today. Well guess what? He was absolutely right!. It took awhile for everything to work out, but it sure ended up working out the way I wanted it too. I know if I would’ve went somewhere else it wasn’t going to be an amazing experience like the one I experimented at BMW of Edison. The minute we went in, we were greeted. We met Hamada Elmasary, very friendly and polite. He made us feel very comfortable. It took a few hours for the paperwork to get through . Then we went to meet with Robert Binyatov the finance manager with some beautiful eyes and a friendly personality. And we finished signing and we drove away in our BMW! That simple 👌 great customer service and family atmosphere.
I had a great experience. The salesman Larry made a great effort towards helping us refine what we were looking for with no upselling pressure, just talked like family about what I needed, how I wanted to use the car and type of driving/driver I am. He also presented and was transparent in the vehicle flip. My cars assessed value to bluebook was laid out, financing options and down-payment terms. He showed me his screen so I could see all the information for myself.After the sale, I had a tech guy walk me through features who was very patient with all my questions and later, Larry followed up, asked how my driving experience was going.Overall I felt taken care of, listened to, and treated fairly. I recently purchased a BMX X7 40i car here. It was a great experience. Amazing car. I had the pleasure of working with Michael Simone. Great salesperson. FYI, this is a new building which makes the experience even more…well…upscale I guess. Lol.Important: Be advised, BMW is running low on semiconductors. Semiconductors, to make a complicated definition simple, are chips that make all the technology in the car work. My car has no WiFi because they have limited chips to put in each car. Ask your salesperson about this when you buy the car. Also look at the window sticker. It will tell you what will be missing in the car. They will discount the price but if you need it, then you need it. Make sure your car has it!Also, keep in mind, I didn’t realize this until after I bought the car, BMW is cutting certain options on their cars. For example, I wanted the Harman Kardon speakers but they are no longer an option as of February 2021 because of this semiconductor issue. I just assumed they were there. I mean the car cost almost $87,000 and this is a M Sport package car. So I didn’t bother looking when I test drove it. Once I drove it off the lot, I looked over for the HK logo on the drivers side speaker and saw nothing! The more you know people. BMW says the chip issue won’t be resolved anytime soon.
This is a reply to the response:What production shortage? I finally have enough for this place. Called another dealer. First they said that they can order it within a week and then called me back and said that they have found one. I dont know what is the problem of this place and cant even handle such a small service. I dont want to mention the other dealers name and just want to give you my honest advice. This place may be good in sale, but definitely not for service. If you dont believe me, just take your own risk.The customer service is beyond imagination. I have air bag recall for my 323i.1. First service: No part is stocked. Have to order it.2. Second service: Cant find the part. Finally find it after looked at the right location. (After I told them I have called the part Dept. to make sure the part is available). But ordered a wrong part, have to reorder it.3. Promised to call me and will send a technician to my house to install it.4. After 3 weeks, no call. Manager: Anthony5. In the mean time . Have to drive the car with a bad air bag. Thanks for the beyond imagination service.
They ignore your calls for servicing your vehicle when business is good. Obviously business is booming right now for all dealers and they don’t NEED to answer any service calls. Look at the ratings of other dealers compared to this one. Just remember this review when you buy a car from here and you need to get maintenance on it or a repair, it’ll be a real hassle trying to get scheduled, you’ll be transferred from person to person only to be hung on up, any day of the week based on my experience.Watch as the “owner/manager” tries to save face with the same copy and paste reply to this review saying “we’re truly sorry for your experience, please call (name) at # and we’ll fix it.”Buy from someone who respects you until they fix they fix their customer service, this way you don’t have to waste your time writing a bad review just to get a response from them.
This was single handedly one of the best experiences Ive had in customer service ever. Paul M, made the experience feel so much less stressful, even during the moments where I was second guessing myself and was considering changing my mind and not getting the vehicle he didnt pressure us, when we werent sure he get us the facts, and best of all made the whole process feel human and personal.
Had the WORST experience ever!!!! Took my car in for service. After waiting about an hour to get a loaner that I was promised, I was given the keys to the most filthiest piece of metal I’ve ever seen in my life! Seats were covered in ash, cupholders had a nice layer of lord knows what kind of substance, one of the doors had spit on the side panel, the back seat had more mysterious stains... completely disgusting.After walking back to the desk and asking the worker to give me another car, I was told that they have no more loaners and offered me to wait for another 20-30 minutes for them to bring it to the wash. 30 minutes later, the car came back EXACTLY as dirty on the inside as it was before, except now it was wet on the outside from the “wash”. Thankfully I brought baby wipes and proceeded to wipe down the inside of it myself so I could at least feel a bit safer getting inside and leave this place so I could go on about my day. Disgusting customer service. If I could leave a zero star review, I would.Additionally, after driving away, I got a lovely message to check tire pressures...
I contacted Open Road BMW and was pleasantly surprised the dealership had an ample inventory of X5s. In fact, I didn’t even see the vehicle in person before make a purchase — only a few online exterior photos — and it was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Paul M was extremely professional and on point and locked in the deal as promised. Paul even assured me that I was going to love my purchase and he was spot-on. Mr. Douglas Jefferies was extremely helpful. He met with me twice to discuss options for the type of vehicle and price range I was working with. Very knowledgeable about the inventory and even stayed to insure the vehicle was available to drive off the lot the same day. She explained the whole process in great detail and also completed the return document giving us few options on going for a new vehicle when ready. I give 5 stars to her customer service.
Go to Flemington BMW. Much better prices and no mark ups. Also they have more people who really know about the products they are selling. Open Road tried to give me a lease for 36 months on a $125000 car 11k down and $2100 a month thats like 80% of the cars value in 3 years. Flemington BMW gave me 9500 down and $1600 a month. They tried to rob me.
If you want to be treated differently based on the color of your skin or your clothes then feel free to go in here !After 4 trips to this place and waiting for hours, we were not even offered a test drive. We just stood there asking if someone could help us while others simply waited and got their cars. Mind u we came in twice with appointments!The only person who is worth talking to (if at all u go there) is Alex.So we took our business across the street to Lexus and were taken care of very nicely.

Black people really need to work on their customer service skills. I had the WORST experience at this location. I was literally yelled at like a child. Also, the way this young woman approached my car before she barked at me, you could of sworn she was walking into a fight. First and last time Ill service my car at this place. Im disgusted.

I had the pleasure of working with Nitin a sales rep at Open road BMW! He was beyond thorough and attentive to my needs. He took his time getting to know and understand my wants and expectations during the buying process, and made sure to keep in contact with me leading up to the day I took possession of my vehicle. During our test drive he seemed to point out all the features that would be important to me, and especially the upgraded sound system & lighting packages. There were a few cosmetic repairs needed and before I noticed them, he had already submitted request to have them taken care of. I would recommend Nitin to any of my friends and family looking to purchase a vehicle in the future. I don’t think another sales rep at this location would’ve been able to provide a better service than what I received from Nitin! 😁😁
If i could give them 0 stars i would. I brought my car in on Friday for a flat tire and it stayed at the dealer for 3 days without anyone taking care of it. Their customer service is terrible, they’re ruining Bmw reputation . When i walked in the dealer i was profiled as if i didn’t belong there. They do not pick up the phone and they tried to charge me twice the price of my tire when they decided to take a look at my car. If anyone want a bmw, i would recommend taking a trip to Flemington instead because their customer service is top tier. They ended up being the one picking up my car and fixing it the same day.
Had a very good experience with Open road in Edison. Very nice new showroom and in a world of no inventory they had a good selection. My salesman Anthony Cesare was top notch and worked a great balance between my needs and those of the company. He was quite pleasant and very knowledgeable. The only thing I found fault with with Open Road and with virtually every dealer is the: Ive got to check back with my manager. Guys give your people some authority and let them do the deal and not have to run back to Daddy each time. Other than that Id recommend them unreservedly to my friends.
Went back in May. Initial Salesperson was terrible. Got taken care of by another and purchased a 5 series. Put up a decent review on my experience that day. Fast Fwd 4 months…I’ve been trying to get plates for that same vehicle and no rhyme or reason given on why I don’t have plates. Went in person, still no answer from Manager Ryan. These are the moments you have an opportunity to really show service. I’ve recommended 2 people to Bridgewater since and they were well taken care of…and oh they both have plates already!!
Worst service department in the country..The service manager Fabz is absolutely clue less on what goes on in his own department and does not know how to help the customer. He has no idea what goes on in that service department and honestly OPEN ROAD should look for someone knew to run it. My car was there for 3 months sitting in the same spot in the back of the dealership for back brakes that they didnt have..The brake engine light was on for over 4 months and they said sorry we have no loaners so basically feel unsafe and drive the SUV..Not one person from that place cares, at all and they promise you things and nothing comes about it.....I go in to speak to the GM and she stats that the breaks have been here and doesnt understand why no one did the job...The loaner car they gave us was disgusting, had a really bad odor and trash and debris in the car. Its sad that a car business treats its customers like this and they just dont seem to care..
My girlfriend and I were shopping around for a BMW X3 (or Audi Q5/Mercedes GLC300) across different dealership, and we ended up making it happen with Pedro. The experience was amazing. Hes very patient and very knowledgeable about the vehicle. He made sure we got the best deal possible not only for the car but also for insurance. New dealership is absolutely beautiful and stunning. I can spend the whole day in their new showroom. Everyone was very helpful and pleasant. Words cannot describe the anger I’m feeling toward a horrible experience. Just like another reviewer my X5 had overheating issues so I had to call roadside assistance to tow my car to the dealer. They told me it will take 2-3 days to fix the car and it will be ready. It’s been 3 weeks… THREE. I just got my car today after calling and pressing these clowns every single day.I have insurance and extended warranty on the vehicle so to save costs I tried to provide that information to the service department, however no one picks up the phones! It takes 20 times or multiple days to get through, but if I’m lucky I’ll get it the first time. So my car ended up getting repaired and when they told me I can come pick it up the bill came out to almost $2k which is crazy. I tried explaining I was trying to give them my insurance info so my company can handle the costs, they told me I should of told them before the repair… I tried! You guys don’t know how to man the phones..BMW and my company have to handle the payment and I just have to pay a certain amount. This doesn’t take 3 weeks. I mean how many hours a day these people work and you can’t handle something that can be resolved in 1 minute? This situation is literally just as bad as the situation in Afghanistan with the drawdown. An absolute failure. I hate to compare the two, but it’s true. This is coming from a guy who served in the military. I’m done with this location now. Maybe with the company too. My family and I have been customers for 30 years. After this incident, that’s going to change.
Was pleasantly surprised at the inventory as I pulled into the lot. Had called ahead for an appointment last minute an was able to be accommodated although I got there earlier than planned. As I walk up to the building a gentleman named Brian who was swiftly passing stopped an asked if needed help. I explained I had an appointment and I found out that Brian would infact be my salesman. I automatically felt that I was in good hands. Brian was very professional and great personality. He was extremely knowledgeable and didnt try pushing a vehicle on me, but wanted to know what would work for my daily use. Truly an assett to the company.He showed me anything I wanted to see and never once seemed impatient with my undesivines. I finally found a vehicle I loved and watched Brian work hard along with the managers.to make it happen for me. As I wait for an answer I notice how friendly the entire team was toward one another, Several stopped to check on me and talk to me. I was a bit nervous going alone but It was a great comfortable feeling. Didnt leave with the vehicle but would absolutely 100% recommend Brian and Open Road BMW for a great car buying experience. Ps.. Brian has.a cool English accent. Way to go Open Road BMW!!!

I went to BMW just to take a look but I knew I wouldnt be able to purchase for a few weeks. Larry stayed in contact with me during that time and I never felt pressured to come back earlier than I desired. On 7/17/2021 I serviced my BMW X3 in Open Road BMW Edison. On next day, I see Check Engine light ON in my Car Dashboard. I have raised the compliant to Open Road BMW via online chat and got email that someone from Service team will contact me. After a day time, I got a feedback email on the Service done on 07/17. Looks like my compliant is not made aware to the Service team. I again requested Open Road BMW to check on my issue, till now I am hearing the response as One of our Service Director will contact you shortly. I dont know whether the Service Director is available in Open Road BMW :(

I went to BMW Open road Edison to get a quote to trade In my Car, they offered me 22k and told me “they were only adding a thousand for me just for today” even though Kelly blue book value is at least 25k and other dealers were offering more. On top of the low ball, incredibly disrespectful one guy told me to “stop wasting my time here” when I was Looking at potential cars and got angry when I’m In the Process of choosing a car. Never going back there you’re better off importing a BMW from Germany directly than to buy a car over here

I went there on Sept 7th around 3-4pm. The place is very nice and spacious. For a place like this, you think they would have a personable or more professional work at the front desk. Came in, a young was playing on her phone looked up and asked me “ can I help you” was asking her if someone can help me for an m550….long story short. I was sitting and wait for about 15-20 mins no one come to help me. Came up to to ask her again…she told me to hold on “let me finish something…” went back in her phone. So Unprofessional
Probably the worse car dealership Ive ever been to. We bought a certified 2019 X3 with 13k miles, and a week later the car was in dealership being serviced for chassis stabilization warning. Car was in the shop for 3 days, got it back. They didnt give us a loaner the first time. 1 week later...same problem except the car automatically decelerated on a major highway (garden state parkway) and then shut off and wouldnt turn back on. Car was back in the shop for nearly 2 weeks. They gave us a loaner this time and then a few weeks later, Im seeing all these random toll charges. Tried to get this sorted out with the dealership, get transferred back and forth to different people without having the problem resolved....so I had to cancel my credit card so they could no longer randomly charge me.Not only did they sell me a LEMON, but I had to deal with cancelling my credit card to prevent them from randomly charging me. AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP IF YOU CAN. WORSE CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD!!
Picked up my vehicle last week from Larry, he is the BEST!!!! I will follow him where ever he goes. He has my business for life. His customer service isimpeccable. If you are looking for someone who has your best interest at heart he is your guy and let me not forget Chris who took histime and was very patient with me as he guided me through all the new features. Imagine buying a $90,000 2020 M4 and having the AC break on you within the year.Now imagine leaving multiple calls and messages with my service advisor Frank Brenes and getting absolutely no response. I was finally able to get a hold of a service manager Jim who told me “come in Saturday morning and will have a loaner ready for you. Don’t worry we’ll take care of you.“ After arriving, come to find out not only was Jim not working Saturday, they also did not have the parts for my car AND did not have the loaner that I was promised. I was given my keys back and sent on my merry way.Not only have you lost out on a lifetime BMW service customer, but you also lost out on the sale of the M5 or M8 that I was planning on upgrading to after the M4. There are plenty of other BMW dealerships in New Jersey that will treat you better especially if you were buying a high-end M car.Edit: Replying to Alison below. Anyone can understand parts and loaner shortages during COVID, which is exactly I why I spoke with a manager to confirm availability before making the trip to your center. I live in upstate NY so I cannot make multiple trips back and forth because Jim messed up. Additionally a half hearted apology through Google Reviews from someone not even involved in my car service does absolutely nothing to make me feel better. Thankfully I was able to get my car serviced at BMW of Freehold without issue.

I had a great experience with Mathias a few days ago. We came in and he was extremely helpful in breaking down the costs of each vehicle with all options and the availability of each. We were able to find a car that was at a Massachusetts dealer and they picked up the car and delivered it to my house. The customer service was excellent. Working with Mathias was no stress/ no pressure whatsoever. He’s a class act. I would want that everyone could have that experience when purchasing a car.

Customer service is horrible. This team doesn’t handle your issues in a timely manner. They just make you go from department to department and can never handle the situation. Communication from the reception girls is garbage as well

I had a great experience here at Open Road! From the minute I walked in I was greeted and introduced to Douglas Jeffries. He was very knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable. I can genuinely say he put my needs and concerns first priority. He helped me with my trade in and put me in my dream car. I needed extra hand holding because I was new to the process and he was more the patient and helpful. I also was very happy dealing with the GM Jamal. Jamal was also very genuine and took very good care of me. I will be going back to deal with Douglas and Jamal, they have gained a repeating customer! I will be sending my friends and family, I cannot stress the great level of customer service I received!
I am in the middle of the worst car service experience I have ever had. Recently I experienced some issues with my 2014 BMW X3 overheating. I had the car towed to Open Road BMW Edison since my regular mechanic suggested that I take back to the dealer to work on the issue. The quickly diagnosed the issue was a water pump and oil cooler. Since this is not under warranty its easily minimum $2000 of work. That was noon Friday.I tried to get an update before end of business Friday, and thats were the nightmare begins. I could not get a status update since my service assistant had left for the day. I called at 6:15, and no one was left in service, annoying but not earth shattering.First thing Saturday I call, and no service techs are in, someone will call me back. 45 Minutes later I call a 2nd time, and I was told they are working on my car still and only the service assistant who helped initially can give more details please call back in an hour and half. Clearly getting irritated by this I asked for a manager to call me back, who never did. So I called a 3rd time, and the service manager was conveniently take care of another customer. Please wait 45 minutes to have your service assistant help you. That was the last straw.I took the 15 minute drive to get there, and asked for the manager by name, Fabricio (no sure of the spelling). I explained the situation, and my annoyance. He disappears to a room for 5 minutes, and tells it will be ready Monday morning. No offer to finish that day, no offer on a loaner to make things better, just ruin my weekend, off I go.If I literally had any other choices for help on this issue I would have loved to the business to ANY OTHER BUSINESS. Not only will I never get my car serviced there again, but I likely will never deal with Open Road ever again.
Had a great experience with open road Edison BMW, Nitin was very courteous and helpful from the time we entered the showroom to the final delivery. Edison BMW has many BMWs in stock, so lot more options to choose from. Nitin made our process was very smooth and pleasant, I would definitely recommend others to give Edison BMW a shot.All the other staff were also nice especially Rodriquez who was energetic enough to explain us all the features of the vehicle.
Calling all moms!! This is the place to shop for your car! Paul Moomjian was so patient with my husband and I as we tried out possible family cars. The best part was he is quick and efficient! No waiting game. Extremely knowledgeable about his inventory- we left with a car we didn’t know was on the lot! He pulled up numbers quickly and ensured our used car felt brand new when we left!
