I had all of my questions answered and she definitely assisted me well. I would highly recommend her service. She is very friendly and will give you the tools you need for success! Tony, Tony was the man! We were buying a new phone and everything was going smoothly, but they had a minor malfunction in their system. It took everyone all the way up to the store manager to figure it out the issue.After being patient on our end and them figuring it out after about 30 minutes they were willing to help us out.We understand technology can be finicky and has its troubled parts, but overall was a very good representation of customer service!
Had fantastic service at this Apple location. Fixed our MacBook air super fast and when there was an issue we ran into with part of the service they jumped right in to work with us and make it right. Highly recommend this location!

I can not and will not recommend this place to anyone. The nessisity of my visit was due to my work phone (iPhone XR) becoming dangerously hot in my pocket. So hot I jumped out of my desk chair and tossed it on to my desk. Mt first thought was maybe I left the flashlight on. That was not the case as my phone would no longer turn on at this point or give any indication that it was connected to my computer. As soon as I could I went to the Apple store. My phobe was still so hot at this point the guy making appointments almost dropped it. The refused to see me and made an appointment for later that afternoon. An appointment that was supposed to be confirmed by text message to my personal phone. (Spoiler alert) that text message never came.I finish my shift at the office and headed back to the Apple store. I am informed that due to my being late ?!? My appointment was instantly canceled. I politley informed them that I never got a confirmation (showed them my phone for proof) and that I still needed help. The guy said he would try and find a way to help me. A half hour in to my second apple store trip of the day, I finally meet with a genius. Problem is that now my phone had cooled off (im guessing the battery died) so they have no proof of my claim. I spent the next 2 hours either waiting while they check with supposed apple saftey experts etc. The end result is they dont believe me. They say there was no thermal warning on the phone so there is nothing they can do. There diagnostics which they didnt let me see, only show a need for a software/firmware update which they voulenteered to do, first nuking my phone to do it.No matter what I said, they had no desire to help me, and no reguard for my saftey. I am an IT professional with over 20 years experience. I explained my concern about a potentially dangerous battery issue like with the Galaxy Note 7. The apple rep and Team lead I spoke to just didnt care.For anyone reading this, this isnt even a one time thing, I brought another device in not to long ago an iPhone XS. This one was also red hot. Same song and dance with a twist. They brought out this mini magnifying glass to show me a microscopic crack on the home button sensor and told me that was user damage and not covered by warranty. I have seen phones with shattered screens work fine and never heat up like that. Apple being apple did everything they could not help me at all.Amazing how a company can label their staff geniuses but lack the basics of customer service.SAMSUNG FOREVER.
Apple store was a rare experience with the personnel.Wireless device accessory kiosk happened to be the same.Unfortunately the stores are all closed because of the late hour. Therefore I will have to end this review until I return again with more money and more time.

Not a fan!!! Tried to visit store and was confronted by a security guard trying to make me wear a mask. The mask mandate is over!!! I was intending to enter store and purchase the new iMac computer for $2-3k. I would not wear a useless mask and proceeded to leave the store. Apple, read the Fauci emails, they bamboozled us all, the masks never did anything!!!
Super efficient and helpful.Answered all my questions about my repair. Dropped off my iPhone at 3:40pm and it was instantly repaired on the spot and ready for pick up at 4:20pm!! I was very impressed. ** Remember you need to make an appointment and you will be checked in. I appreciate their efficient, well planned customer service lines during the pandemic. I felt very safe. Plastic partitions and cleaned/wiped down after every customer visit. Way to go APPLE!!
Y’all should give my boy Mike a raise. I had to drive all the way from Duluth to get my phone fixed. Then I had to leave the store to get proof of purchase on my phone. He made sure I was able to get in later that same day when I had the information I needed. I thought I was gonna have to make two trips from Duluth, but I didn’t and I’m very grateful. They figured out my phone was faulty and I got a new one.
Store required time window for appointments even tho it was just a simple purchase . My problem was finding the same item over 35% lower in price with easier refund policy.

I went to this Apple store to get a new iPhone after mine took a drop. They were quick, professional, and honest with me about what they thought I needed! Thank you for your help and for working in a retail world during a global pandemic. You are soooo important!

Two checkpoints to get in. I had an appointment and needed help with the features on my phone as well as switching out four usb cords that failed. They would only replace one cord and said I needed another appointment to switch out the other three that were exactly the same as the one they replaced...they also said there was no time to help me with the other issue. I asked if I could use the WiFi to finish updating my phone and they said I could stand outside and do so. As I did this, one of the guards told me I had to leave. I told him I had permission to be there and gave him the names of the people who allowed it. He then turned around and called mall security. A guard came and I explained again that I had permission. He thanked me and left. This is completely unacceptable and the employees at this Apple location behaved like a military operation instead of an accommodating service company. Disgraceful and completely unacceptable. Apple hit a new low here.

Horrible!!!!! I had an appointment at 11:45-12:00 and I wore my face shield. They told me that I have to wear a mask. I explained that I have a medical condition and the guy said sorry we cant let you in!!!!! You will have to go elsewhere. Well I am. I am going to get a Samsung now!!! Never again!!!! Worst treatment ever in my life!!!!!!!!!!! If I could give them negative stars I would!!!!!!
I ordered a watch online for pick up. Drove 40 minutes across town. Showed up during my assigned pick up time. Was told that my watch was actually being shipped to store despite me having an email saying it’s there. They tell me they do, however, have the same exact watch that they could sell me, but I’d have to pay again, even though I already paid for the watch. I pay for the watch again and they cancel my first order. I also wanted to trade in my old watch toward the purchase of the new one. They tell me I should’ve brought it even though Apple’s website no trade ins could be done in person. They tell me I could still do that via mail. I call Apple’s 800 number and they tell me that isn’t the case, best they can do is give me a gift card. The employees are either liars or halfwits, avoid this store in any case.

Don’t shop in this location. Every staff will roam around but customer have to wait at-least 30mins, even for order pickup. I would suggest to train your manager and employee regarding handling and managing customers.Shop in other locations, avoid this one.
I was looking for an open appointment and I saw an open slot. Went in and staff helped me fix my phone and answered my questions. Everything went smoothly.

More and more Im disappointed with how Apple updates their products and then the subsequent help I get at the Apple store. The staff at this store were nice, but I couldnt really understand most of their answers to my questions.Also- they were supposed to migrate all my old data from my other macs hard drive and they didnt. Theres still plenty of storage left on my new one- and they didnt tell me they werent able to complete it. Overall and disappointing experience.
The minute you walk into Apple your automatically approached by super helpful staff ready to get you checked in for any problem or questions you have about your Apple products. I went in to pick up anew iPhone and the process was super simple I actually paid online so when I went to the actual store I had absolutely no wait time. I just spoke with an associate and was done with the process in minutes. Of course we stayed and checked out other things they had at the store that day. We could have signed up for an Apple session to learn more about the new phone or a new laptop or even takes class for photography and I believe it’s all offered at free of charge witch is a big bonus of being apart of the Apple family. Overall the visit was fast the phone set up was extremely easy and we would definitely be going back again to visit.

Go in and ask to work with John! Hes extremely knowledgable, efficient, and patient. He helped me transfer old pics and videos from an old laptop to a new one- I was expecting it to be a day or 2 process but he was able to do it an hour!

I’ve gone twice to this location. The first time they didn’t run tests, the genius refused to test my phone. He looked at the phone itself after I unlocked it, told me I had not updated the iOS in two years and go update it. I told him he was wrong, I only owned the phone a year and it had been updated several times. It had been total flash at the mall location once. It had given me trouble almost out of the box. I showed him the crash reports on the phone showing the trouble. I left with a still broken phone. I went to Bestbuy where they tested it and found enough things come up that it was a full replacement. I went back last week post pandemic to trade in my 3rd gen watch and they told me it was not valued for trade. Seriously it was pristine and working, they said can recycle it free. I showed them on apples site it’s value is 95 dollars and they said yes it is perfect but they handheld device says no trade in. I asked for manager who said he had power to rectify it but would not be doing so. I asked why he said he just won’t. I ran the serial number myself too. Apples site and showed them it says 95 and it’s clearly perfect. Both the genius and manager said they would not do a trade if the handheld didn’t recognize the serial number. Then the genius asked had it ever been replaced under warranty? I said no it’s original to me from day one out of the box. I said it feels like you think it’s stolen but it’s my watch and you can pull my purchase history to verify that. The serial number is found by Apple online so why won’t you do trade in the store? I called the 800# and they said they can’t make the store do a trade. I asked for the district managers information and the manager claimed he didn’t have that information and refused to get it. I left before I lost my self control I was so angry. I went online and processed the trade and now have the delay of the mail time. I was going to buy a gen 6 when it comes out and the trade value on 3rd was already dropping so I wanted to just get it done on gift card and not risk the mail damaging it or have the delay time. I now really just never want to spend anodize with Apple. I have Apple everything and despite the fact I just got Mac, iPad, iPhone 11 within 2 months as old ones were just to slow, I want to ditch them all and go android. Apples big selling point is the Apple care but this is not care this is abuse of customer.

He went above and beyond to ensure I had a working machine. As a college student with multiple projects to salvage and a tight budget, I am so grateful for his help!
Very disappointed with the Genius Bar help today. I went with a friend to get a battery replaced on her phone. They were unable to do it, told her the phone was broken not the battery. Next went to cell phone repair, they replaced the battery and the phone was fixed and works great, Made me doubt the integrity of apple repair, they wanted to sell a new phone rather then simply replacing the battery. I expected more from Apple
Terrible customer service at the Genius Bar. Made an appt., got an email confirmation with instructions on what to do, which did not include to check in upon arrival. Total chaos upon arrival. Waiting for 35 minutes before I asked what was up to which they said I had to check in. Not signage asking you to check in. No one asking if people need to check in. Nothing. Nothing but an angering customer experience. I highly recommend you go to the Genius Bar during the work week when the store is slower.
Had to repair my computer, it was really emotional and they were very caring and thorough with fixing it. Particularly Michael spent all this time with me to make sure we prepared my computer properly before repair. And more. Thank you Michael with the blonde pony tail.

Apple Southdale has very nice employees and is a very clean store. I have bought all of my apple products from this store, one of the supervisors Natasha and joe from agreement administration, they were both very helpful and was able to work with me even though I had bad audio on my phone and neither of us could hear each other.
Caution! Poor communication and disappointing service. I made a visit to diagnose computer issues and needed to order a battery. I clearly explained my availability to return and install the battery and appropriate notes were placed with my order. That visit went well or so I thought. I returned as specified to install the battery and apple had sent back the battery. Staff ( names D or Dee?) offed no apology or empathy for wasted time/trip or inconvenience of needing to wait another 5-7 days for them to reorder. Turned out the staff from the first visit made some errors with information given to me. The extent of communication with this employee at the second visit was an iPad put in front of me and to sign (again) for a repeat order. I’m in a service business as well and was looking for just a statement of consolation and empathy for wasted time and inconvenience. This felt like like entrapment and apathy for a customer without choices. Shame on Apple for letting me walk out the door without a simple acknowledgment of how I was clearly feeling or errors made. Staff needs some customer service training.
One of the people who worked at the Genius Bar, Brendan (or maybe Brenden?), went over and above in his assistance to me. He moved some time-sensitive information from my malfunctioning laptop to an external hard drive. And he did it complimentary and quickly. He didnt have to do this, so Im writing this note in appreciation.
If you feel like wasting your time then definitely go here. Went to get a new battery but of course they don’t have them so they have to submit a repair order and will notify you when it’s in. The girl took my phone back to open it and said the battery was completely shot so they’d place the order. Great! Waited 3 weeks for it to come in and go back to the store to drop off my phone. They say to come back in 3 hours! 3 hours - what a joke. But I do, because what choice do I have. I show up to pick it up and have to wait almost 30 min for them to bring my phone out. When they finally do the girl tells me there was a little bit of water damage so they didn’t replace the battery, but can for the full price of repair. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I wasted my entire day driving to and from your damn store to be told I couldn’t get the repair even though the girl who diagnosed it didn’t see anything wrong with the phone. Obviously our time means nothing to these people. Joke of a store with a joke customer service.
The system they have for appointments as very frustrating. They have lost thousands of dollars in my business from me alone. Ive had to buy products from other retailers. Couldnt get an appointment and the staff had no answers for when I was able to come in and buy a computer.Pull your head out, apple
We simply need our iphone 6 battery replaced and dont want to make two trips to the store, as we live 2 hours away. It has been IMPOSSIBLE to get through on the phone....1/2 hour with various voice recognition menus and on hold (with my choice of music....) If my call is important to you, hire enough people to answer it.

Never thought I’d be rating a place for one star. My apple laptop was defective, a product mind you that I’m paying 1,000+ dollars for, and I decided to bring it in. When I got it back I noticed the Touch ID on the laptop was broken. They had me wait a week for it to be repaired. Soon enough when next week rolled around I hadn’t received a phone call so I came in without notice. They gave me my laptop back, still in a broken condition and they informed me that the parts were still being ordered. I waited yet another week and not a single call. Came in again on my own time, and the manager informed me that they were the ones who broke my Touch ID. No one told me about this until I was TWO WEEKS into getting it “repaired”. Then the manager finally after two weeks offered to order me in a new laptop. Promised me it would be in on Monday. I come in on Tuesday the next week and what a surprise. It didn’t come in. I’ve been waiting three weeks.Please, do yourself a favor and do not bring your laptops in here. I’ve found myself falling behind in school due to these people not being able to get me a functioning laptop to use my school programs on.

Unfriendly customer service. Waited to see a technician at the genius bar, they were busy, so I was patient. Waited 2 hours to sit at the bar for another 30 before even being acknowledged. They did a good job once attended, but could have done a much better job of making me feel like a customer as opposed to a #.
This is an Apple Store for sure. It is clean and the staff is helpful. The mall helps make me wish I could give it a half star more. I highly recommend this location to Mall of America. It is simply due to the fact you can shop much more easily.

Had a screen protector installed for free, for $20 less than a guy in the same mall in a kiosk, who I wasnt sure he was $20 extra for it with installation included or just the screen protector so, happy about that and the service was great, kudos to the guy in the glasses who came from the back room who I stupidly forgot to ask his name to post it, he had all the info needed plus great customer service

Yo I got the best customer experience, guy was super nice and efficient and I know all these other people say this place sucks but IT DOESNT you gotta understand that these people work in RETAIL and they mostly deal with old ladies who dont know how to open the box that contains the phone. Had a 7:50 apt. I wasnt thought about until after 8:30.*Update* Diamond FIXED EVERYTHING! She covered my cracked screen fee and was very courteous and worked very hard to get me out as soon as possible! It brought me down to reality to because shes probably the one that catches it the most from angry customers. While the ones that dont do anything and slack off hanging out in the back dont get in any trouble. While I was there I observed her help AT LEAST three people. Meanwhile 90% of the other employees werent doing or helping anyone. The store is improperly managed. They need more employees like Diamond. I updated my rating to 5 stars solely because of my interaction with Diamond!
IPhone 7 is apparently not a good phone. That is on me. 3 phones in 8 days because of these phone malfunctions. I worked with Kristin the first time and Lilly the 2nd time.... two of the nicest people I have ever worked with at apple stores. Wait times were over 1 hour each time. Product and wait was low - the people I worked with was exceptional. Apple support by phone was 6 hours of wasted time. In the end things are working well. Very thankful for the help I received.
Walked into this store on a Sunday morning when there were very few people in the store, wanting to try on an Apple Watch and fully prepared to buy a $400+ watch, and was told I had to wait for a sales person to help me. I said OK and stood by the watch section for over 10 minutes waiting for someone to come help me, but no one ever came. During these 10 minutes I waited, other customers came in and were immediately helped by one of the 6-7 Apple workers that were standing around talking to each other less than 10 feet from me. At this point I walked out of the store, completely discouraged from ever buying an Apple Watch.
Waited 30 minutes at the Genius Bar and the dude with the long hair said I was gonna be next. But, I was skipped the whole time. Long story short, don’t waste your time here. All the other employees were just standing there just chit chatting. Never coming back again.
Impossible. Been trying to see someone here for several hours to get a battery replaced. They sent me a text when they’re ready, told me to bump it back until I could come in (because they didn’t have any appointments available so I was on standby) and then they told me to cancel my standby appointment because they were booked up. That’s not what you said earlier, why have I been waiting for 5 hours then? I just want to drop my phone off and come get it later, I’m not gunna sit here all day.

Believe it or not, this was my first ever visit to an Apple Store. My phone was a little sluggish, went it, they ran some tests, opted for a simple new battery. Presto, lag solved. Everyone was great despite it being very busy. Top notch service all around. I interacted with 7 different employees throughout the process, all of them were wonderful!
Patty and Linda are the absolute best! They are an essential asset to this company because you cant beat genuine, caring service and thats what they provide! Anyone who has questions regarding apple products should definitely go to them. All of the staff is extremely friendly, but I ALWAYS request Patty and Linda! See you guys soon to order my iPhone 7!!

On 2 occasions I have made appointments with this store. Upon arrival I check in and both times they have cancelled my appointment instead of checking me in. I sat and waitied 30 minutes and watched 3 other people who can in after me get helped. Only when I ask when someone will be helping me do I find out that my appintment was cancelled and I wasnt checked in. I will never recommand this stored and Im getting to the point that I will never by an Apple product again.
I paid over $500.00 for a smart watch 3 in December 2017. I was sitting at home when all of a sudden it started vibrating and the face feel off. They told me that the reason why this happened was unknown however they refused to give me a new watch because the warranty was up. I felt so dumb and wasted my time going to this store for help. will never ever buy another Apple Smart watch again as they self distruct after 12 months. Even the Apple Care only lasts 2 years.

When going to the store, first make sure you have an appointment. I recommend you ask for a woman named Diamond at the Apple Southdale Store. She was fabulous. Great customer service and attention to detail. Absolutely left us with a positive impact.

I went in there to get an iPhone 11, I had come into this store a couple days prior to ask a couple questions and was told that they price match up to 10%, I made sure it worked with what I wanted and was pleased that they did that deal. I then came in the couple days later with a deal that would allow for me to get the 10% off on the phone I wanted, after being pushed to another employee to be dealt with, I told him what I wanted and showed the better deal so he could adjust my price. He told me that they don’t do that for new iPhones and after I told him that multiple employees told me they would do it and the deal I showed them would work, all of a sudden it wasn’t. He said he didn’t know why I was told they could do that and the only way to price match was to physically purchase another iPhone at a better price, bring in the receipt proving it, and at that point they could price match it...all of this was completely unnecessary, the 3 separate employees I spoke to that day were all not very nice, there was about 15 people working and only maybe 7 people in the store. I work in customer service and there was no reason that all of that had to happen. Even if there was absolutely no way they could not price match, the people who work there are rude and act like they are above you. I literally work in the mall and I will never come here to this apple store again.
I was at the apple store getting a new phone last Friday. This was my first iPhone and I had a few questions setting it up. The sales guy was not very friendly to start with but then I worked with a woman named Allie, who helped set everything up. She was helping multiple people at once and was doing a great job. She was wonderful customer service and I hope she is recognized for this!
I made an appointment for the Genius Bar online for a simple cracked screen repair on an iPhone 6. I showed up 10 minutes early, and after waiting 5 minutes to get through the line to one of the employees checking people in, was told to sit at the bar with no indication there would be a wait. 30 minutes later with no communication, I had to leave for a meeting. I assumed that with an appointment my 5 minute fix would be completed with time to spare.
Very busy. Had an appointment and still waited 15 minutes for service to be have the technician do all the steps I had already done and then tell me that I would need to buy a new device.
Set an appointment for a new battery. I checked in and was directed to a table where I waited for an hour and a half for a tech to come and talk to me. The woman waiting with me at the table had been there for 2 hours without service and I overheard another woman saying that she had been there for FOUR HOURS without any assistance on her broken laptop and they actually had the nerve to tell her while I was sitting there that it would be another TWO HOURS for it to be repaired. I had to walk out of the store to pick my son up from daycare without even being approached for help. Now, it turns out that even if I had been helped that the batteries are in short supply so they need to be ordered to the store and I wouldnt have gotten it replaced that day anyway. If someone would have told me that up front I could have prevented wasting over an hour of my life inside the store.

The service was inconsistent and rather poor considering how many people were working and the fact that we had an appointment beforehand.This appointment boiled down to a reformatting of the hard drive, but the rep kept walking away from us and didnt come back for minutes at a time... By the end, he didnt even come back to us at all and another employee altogether had to ask if we needed anything else before leaving.It was a textbook example of what not to do for a customer service interaction.
Long waiting for anything. Tried to buy a 5SE. 3+ people welcoming you to the store and telling you to stand in different places. Employees that can do things hang out in back and peak out from time to time. Had to return an Apple TV and exact same problem.
If you call be ready to be on hold for 45 min and then have no answer then show up to schedule an appointment then be told to call and schedule one. The workers seem to be more interested in their own conversations then helping anyone. Overall very disappointed with my experience and the lack of care to help. With Apple having more and more problems and lack of customer support I really think this is the last straw for, e and buying apple products.

Just visited the store to ask about purchasing a new Apple watch. I was told only the one watch specialist working could answer any questions (out of 10 other sales workers). Unfortunatley, she was busy having social time with her friends. Out of frustration, I had to ask a different associate, who was not helpful. Shouldnt more than one worker know how to sell a watch?
Showed up on time to have my Mac air repaired.The store representative checked me in and I waited over 45 minutes to see a genius representative but no luck .Asked for a manager to talk to & it took a while and nobody show up.For the second time I initiated to grab different people at the store and figure out who the manager was. Finally I talk to Julie one of the stores managers she told me that there was a mixup on my appointment and I had to stay on the bottom of the pile of the wait list.Finally she said she might have someone in the back to be able to help and she will check and let me know. I waited for another 25 minutes but nobody showed up to update me how much longer I have to wait.I am amazingly disappointed
