Pretty straight-forward engine shop. Good people to work with.

I have had serveral tractor engines done by Baxter, some tractor pulling engines as well. Very good work and in a timely fashion as well. They do old john Deere engines with 8 inch stroke cranks and 6 to 7 inch bores nobody else can do Gary and Chris are very good at what they do. I would recommend them to anyone.

Didn’t return calls, had our motor for months, claimed they couldn’t get parts. Once we got the motor back it ran for 12 hrs and started doing the same thing we brought it in for. They charges us $800+ dollars and we ended up taking it else where to find out they actually caused more damage to the motor and we had to have a head replaced. Very poor customer service, very poor work quality.

Called 7 days in advance to schedule my head to be milled, told them I need it done same day and was assured that would happen. Called again before I took off to make sure they had time and was told they couldnt have it done till next week. Maybe they do a good job but it shouldnt be that hard to stick to a schedule. Your ignorance just caused me alot of problems.

If i could give this place a 0 star i would... I was sold a car which just had the engine rebuilt from this place 25 or 30,000 miles later valve cover seal and pvc valve went out..cost me 200 bucks to fix..and within 5 days of that crankshaft gasket seal went out of it and the crankshaft is ruined...i had to take my car with only 30,000 miles on the engine and take it to a junk yard because i would need a new engine and these idiots obviously dont know how to do it..i have sent many e-mails to this business with no reply because it has a 2 yr warranty on it and only 1.5 yr on the ending... Never take anything to this place they will not do it right and they will not back up there warranty!

Ive had Baxters work on many engines over the the course of many years. Although theyre typically quite busy with many high-dollar builds, theyve always seemed to make time for even my minor smaller jobs.
