These guys are amazing! I have a Nissan 350z and the brake pads were worn and digging into the rotors, I just got a new bumper on the car and it needed to be painted the next morning. They went from getting my car done the next day… to doing the brake pads, rotors, flushing the brake fluid out, and they had my car back to me by 5pm that day because I said I needed my car back for the morning.

This was my first time going to Harrison’s, and my experience could not have been better! I wanted to avoid going over the bridge to the dealer to have my timing belt & water pump replaced, and transmission fluid flushed, so I called Harrison’s. Brian was professional, helpful and informative, and got me booked in a few days. I really appreciated their process including them doing an overall inspection of my car (which is helpful to women who may not be as car savvy as men may be, I think), and texting me the results, including photos, so I can make informed decisions. The cost was in line with what I expected to pay. The facilities were clean and everyone was friendly. I highly recommend Harrison’s, and will use them again!

Doug and Brian/Harrison Automotive:In my month’s long search for a classic car, I finally narrowed it down to a 1967 Cutlass Supreme 442 convertible. I saw it online and fell in love with it immediately.Living hours away, and not knowing much about automobiles, I needed to have a pre-purchase inspection performed. I had hired a few in the past during my search, some national firms and other local providers. I seem to always get more from a local, smaller firm than a big national one. So, I searched online for “mechanics” near Easton, MD that led me to Doug Marvin at Harrison Automotive.I told Doug what I needed done. I told him I need to have an inspection done on a classic car that went above and beyond a standard test drive. I told Doug I wanted him to inspect, test drive, review, and provide an opinion on the vehicle as if he was purchasing it for himself. That is exactly what he did for me. He sent me pictures, called me, told me what I should do. He told me what I needed to know. He gave me a sense of security that I found rare in people, particularly the pre-purchase inspectors that I had dealt with. So, when I decided to purchase the car I went back to Doug to see what he would do to it. Shocks, ball joints, and a few other things and I said please do the work.When it came time for me to have the vehicle transported to Connecticut, my experience was less than idea. The first hauler “ghosted” me after I put down a deposit. So, Doug and Brian had to keep my vehicle in their shop for more than a week. They total understood and was very patient. When I eventually hired another hauler it again took several days. Doug felt uncomfortable with the person loading my classic car and decided to drive it onto the hauler himself and personally secure it down to insure it would be safe during transport.So, thank you Doug and Brian for the inspection and work that you did to my 1967 442. My car started making a loud noise at around 4:40 pm. I was able to call them based on a relatives recommendation, drop my car off. They sent a link to the inspection report early the next morning, followed by a call shortly after. Even though they had identified several things that would eventually need to be addressed, they only discussed the problem that I had come in for. When I asked about the other issues they offered to prepare estimates for those items which I could address as I felt necessary. Everyone I spoke to was polite and helpful, the work was done in a timely manner.very satisfied.

Doug took the time to thoroughly explain the background on our Subaru Forester AWD clutch issue, which gave us the indication that he was very knowledgeable and experienced and was able to properly diagnose and repair our vehicle.

Went in to get a 1997 BMW Z3 inspected for registration purposes. Ive owned the car since 1998 and had BMW service it in VA.....the folks at Harrisons found issues that had not been addressed and fixed them as well as a seat issue that had been left unrepairable for years. Again, they fixed it. Could not be more pleased! Oh, and I did pass inspection!

Harrisons Transmissions has some of the most professional people Ive ever dealt with in the auto mechanic world; from the front desk to the mechanics themselves. They are knowledgable and have excellent communication. I drove almost 2 hours to have my BMW serviced after being told by the dealership that I needed a new transmission for $8730.00. Harrisons quickly diagnosed the problem down to the component, ordered the $78 part, and fixed it the following day. I also had work done by them about 5-6 years ago on a separate vehicle and I cant recommend them enough. Harrisons will be my go-to spot for any and everything related to my BMW from here on out.

Gotta tell ya dino and his top notch team of technicians are on point I took one of my cars in for what I thought would be a new clutch but Doug and the other techs discovered it was only a few hose lines a broken clutch pedal and master cylinder while there they also alerted me to other minor issues that needed attention the bottom line was quoted at 1625 but even with all the other repairs the tab came in at 1285 way better than I expected if you was honest top quality auto repairs it would be foolish to go anywhere else

This shop is great at communicating and has fair prices and very knowledgeable technicians. I drive an old car that’s needed a few repairs in the last couple of months and they diagnosed the problem quickly, got parts and got it fixed in a timely manner and great service. I was going to another shop in town but Harrison’s will be getting all my business from now on.

Appointment was for installing four summer tires and alignment on my 2018 Golf R. I kept the nearly new all season tires and Harrisons even labeled LF, RF etc. This was a first for me. Nice touch, and shows theyre making an effort! Doug thoroughly explained the before and after alignment numbers. Price was reasonable and in line with other shops Ive used. Overall great experience. Ive been to them before with other cars and I recommend them.

Harrisons has the most efficient and honest group of professionals that I have ever dealt with . My vehicle was towed in to the shop. the transmission was slipping and making noises. They could have easily sold me a transmission but after looking at it they solved the problem for $400. I went to Harrisons after paying $100 at Ford for basically nothing. Harrisons was awesome did a checkup for free and even let me use their car so I could drive back to work and all day the next day while my car was being fixed. I would highly recommend Harrisons service. Their quote was HALF of what fords was which was really great on my wallet too. I drove 30 minutes out of my way to go here after reading the other reviews and will definitely be going back again for all my car needs.

I’ve traditionally gone to the dealership for everything that I need for my car. When I went to my dealership they charged me $109 to “diagnose” why my check engine light was on, then quoted me an additional $500+ because it “required additional work to determine exactly what’s wrong”...so, $600+ JUST to tell me what was wrong. I then take my car to Harrison’s and after a few hours I get a call with a thorough explanation re: what’s wrong along with a quote for the repairs. The repairs were done in less then a day and for less than what I was quoted. Yea, it was somewhat expensive, but it’s transmission repair not an oil change. Highly recommended! Not to mention the super friendly staff!

Quick turn around time with great customer service

Ive had 2 separate vehicles worked on by them. One was a van that I had the transmission rebuilt on. I never had another problem with the vehicle. If I hadnt been hit head on several years later Id probably still be driving it. The second vehicle I took there for a second opinion. One of my local shops told me I needed to replace my transmission because my shift solenoids were bad (even though they can be replaced) for almost three thousand dollars. Took it here and was told the wires had overheated and were fused. Cost me about 250. I take my vehicles here for major work and I live an hour away.

My car started making this horrible sound on my way home from work. I live an hour and a half away from Easton and didnt know what was around so I called Harrisons, a bit frantic, because it was the closest place. It was right before their closing time and they had me come in anyway and they took a look at my car. Everyone there seemed super nice. I was extremely grateful and happy they were there to help me.

I had a 2500 hd that was having trans problems and got a price quote from harrisons for a reman,,they also replaced the rear main seal and a few misc parts,the truck has been doing super well, pulling trailers and working hard,without a single problem, further more when I went to get the truck the final bill was actually a few hundred dollars less then their estimate, I would definitely recommend them,,,,thanks Deno and Doug for doing a great job

Called Friday said they were going to look at it. Went in Monday with the transmission and without even looking at it to tell me the problem he wanted to change 1000-1500 to rebuild it.

Inspection

I bought a truck from the owners nephew that had been taken here for a trans issue, Harrisons replaced it with a remanned one. The truck I purchased is nothing really fancy, just a diesel truck with a tuner. After I purchased this truck not even 5 days later the transmisson goes out on me. I took it down to Harrisons and they had told me what broke and had warned me that warrianting the transmission was kind of a fine line because the truck is tuned. They warrantied it for me and put another remanned trans in the truck. I get the truck back and within 2 weeks the transmisson starts leaking. I take it back to them, they fix it under warranty. I had a issue with the torque converter and the pump. They replaced the converter and the pump, all new seals and had fixed the problem. A week later, I start to have issues not being able to start the truck in park, I had to put it in neutral to start it. A little while after than, the truck loses 5th gear. And shortly after I start to have a issue with it going into reverse. I took it back to Harrisons they look it, tell me whats wrong with it and say they will no longer be warranting it. Whoever worked on my truck at Harrisons did not do a good job and simply could not line the gear selector up, which im sure lead to these issues. I spoke with the shop manager- Doug. Who by the way is a very nice guy and if you were to get any transmisson work done here, I would ask for him. Doug explains to me some other routes I can take to get the truck back up and going as far as spending $7500 for a stronger transmisson. I didnt take that route, asked Doug to get me numbers on a remanned trans. 2 days go by, NO CALL. I had to call, each day and finally the 2nd day, Doug calls me. He explains he had talked to the owner and the warranty company and said it would cost me $3800-4200 for a remanned trans with NO WARRANTY. Crazy! I declinded that and will be dealing with another transmisson company to fix my truck. The issue here is Harrisons shouldnt have even warrantied this truck to begin with and pulled a shady stunt with the company they deal with for remans. The company Harrisons deal with for their remanned transmissons, should test their transmissons better and probably learn how to build them. I had a problem with my last transmisson from them and than when it is finally undriveable you say no to a warranty? I may have got a bad apple from the tree but they couldnt even back it up? The remanned transmission companies are not as great as Harrisons preaches them to be. If you do go with Harrisons I highly recommend speaking with Doug as he will tell you the truth and be sure to tell you all the guidelines with a warrantied trans. Im not reflecting this review on Harrisons quality of rebuilding transmissons. I personally have never had one rebuilt by them. This review is written because I am a customer who got ripped off both from Harrisons and a company they deal with.Update: Literally not even a day later a get a call from Harrisons, about this review. How wonderful, a company who is worried about their reputation but not their customers. They informed me they have video files from the previous owner and supposedly claim have video footage of me in this truck leading up too the causes of it breaking. I have been honest with Harrisons, they knew the background on this truck when it was brought in by the nephew. They clearly knew the owners nephew had raced the truck, tuned it, etc. AND STILL SOLD HIM A REMANNED TRANS KNOWING IT WOULD VOID WARRANTY. The trans harrisons had put back in the truck, as it was owned by me at this time. Was bad to begin with as we had leaks issues & starting issues. Harrisons is not FULLY responsible for this to which I will admit due to the companies they warranty with, but rather than helping someone who had issues from the start...they pretty much have gone against me and from details of what family has supposedly given them. Harrisons, do no longer call me unless you are putting another transmission in my truck- the correct way. FOR FREE!

Took in my car with a transmission problem after diagnosis was told I needed a new transmission. ($2800+?) Took it to hetrich honda dealership for Second opinion. Ended up getting a upgrade download into the computer that fixed the problem completely $99

Dealing with this transmission shop has to be the worst experience I have ever had in my automotive history. Ive been driving for over 35 years and have never been treated like this. My son brought in his car to Harrisons to have the transmission looked at. The estimate to fix it was over 4K! He wanted a second opinion and I agreed with him as Im the co-signer. My son tried to leave the premises and got stuck in the mud of their parking lot. The back parking lot of this establishment is a disgrace in the light of day. The following day, my son needed me to push his car out with my truck. I started to do this and one of the employees of the shop saw us struggling and said he could help since the shop has a 4wd vehicle. He left to get the vehicle and came back and said he couldnt help me since I didnt spend any money in his shop. Can you imagine? Their negligence in keeping up their parking area was the reason my sons car got us stuck and they refused to help get us out because we didnt spend any money there. Well, my son and I hadnt made a decision as to using their services for the transmission repair when we first got there but I can tell you that after this experience, it will be an ice cold day in hell before I give them any of my business. I intend to tell everyone I know in Easton about this ordeal.
