IT WOULD BE NICE, if this company cared about the surrounding neighbors and victims of their loud chopping and grinding up of trees. I understand that trees need to be removed, but I was awakened at 7am with them grinding up trees basically outside my bedroom window. It should be a common courtesy to do work accompanied by such loud annoying and disruptive sounds after the early morning. I called and left a message and spoke to one of the crew but obviously not one care was given for the ridiculousness of the early hour they decide to wreak havoc on surrounding households. Manage a few homes in the area. Had a clients tree fall down. Called tons of Tree companies and these were the only ones to respond expeditiously. Tree cut and removed next day! Excellent!

We contacted Tom Bender to cut 4 trees at our house. He was punctual and he gave a decent price. However, we wanted to minimize the damage to our lawn and since Tom doesnt climb, he recommended another person - Joe Climber of Widemere Tree Service. Tom came several times ro the property to introduce us and coordinate the job. At the end he gave the whole job to Joe since Joe was better equiped to complete the job since he climbs. We are so very impressed that Tom gave the job to someone else without expecting to get paid. Very honest!

Tom returned my call promptly and came to give me an estimate the day after I called. The crew showed up as scheduled. Due to wires and other trees, to remove large limbs hanging over my garage and house, they had some tricky work to do with the bucket truck. They did a nice job cutting the wood to firewood length and chipped up the rest, which Ill use around the yard. Nice cleanup, picking up all the small branches and blowing off the driveway, etc. I was very satisfied.The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars was I wasnt really happy with the trim job done on a big white pine overhanging my deck and roof. The young man used a manual pole saw as the crew didnt have a chainsaw pole saw. A chainsaw version would have allowed him to cut from the bottom as well as the top of a limb. Consequently, when he sawed about halfway through many of the branches, they snapped off, and the remaining limbs dont look so hot. I also thought they should have cut the tree back a bit more than they did. The boss was on another site and I didnt want to negotiate with the crew guys - thats not their job.All in all, though, Ive lived in this area for a long time and have had tree work done by five or six different companies over the years, so I can speak from experience in saying Benders provided good, prompt service at a reasonable price. I would hire them again.

Last Saturday I noticed one of my trees looked as if it was going to fall so i got on the Internet to find someone to reputable to come out for an estimate. There were three services that came up and the first one said closed on weekends and the next one was Tom Bender. It was really wonderful to have someone answer the phone over the weekend especially when you are in a panic. He was able to come out within 10 minutes of my call and give me an estimate. I felt his estimate was extremely reasonable and made an appointment for today. Tom and his crew were here right away this morning and immediately went to work. I have never seen anything like it since I moved to the area from Allentown, they are very professional. Tom and his crew visited our house this past Friday to remove a large Maple Tree by our deck, a TALL, HUGE (over 100ft) Pine Tree next to our shed, deadwood 2 HUGE pines and clear a big brush pile behind our carport. Toms communication up to this point (house visit, estimates via email, phone calls) was clear and prompt. My husband and I were never left feeling in the dark. I had 5 DIFFERENT...yes 5...tree services visit our home to give an estimate. Toms prices were hands down, the most reasonable and competitive. And quite frankly, he was the easiest boss/owner to talk to! Our schedule was very full on Friday, but I did have an opportunity to swing home during lunch...was I impressed!! Tom and his guys were a well oiled machine. They worked with ease, carefulness and professionalism. I had a minute or two here and there to speak with him and a couple of his guys. All were polite, charismatic and very...glad to keep the customer happy type thinkers. All of them were also super confident and experienced in their craft. When my husband and I got home later that evening, everything was cleaned up, cleared and tidy. I hired Tom to come out and cut 5 large trees on my property and stack the pieces for removal. He initially visited the site in a timely manner and provided an estimate for cutting the trees only and another estimate for cutting and removing the trees. I elected to just cut the trees since my neighbors and I could use the firewood. Tom and his crew came on time and completed the job quicker than I expected. They stacked the wood in a convenient location so that the pieces could be accessed easily. They totally cleaned up the work site when done. I also liked the convenience of being able to pay by credit card. Very professional.

You dont have to look any further for a good tree trimmer. Tom Bender is the guy for you. I spent six weeks calling and waiting on other tree trimmers. They either didnt show up or call. If they came and gave me a quote, they would say....Gee I have to fix my bucket truck, keep on calling me. I would never hear from them, and they would not answer my calls. I called Tom out of the frustration, and we set a date for an estimate. He showed up as promised. He came with his crew the next day and did a wonderful job. I had a problem tree on my property that had to come down. It was a huge white pine that actually split into 5 trees 3 of which were easily 100 foot monsters. Any one of these sections could have destroyed my house if they fell on it. I contacted Benders via their website on November 27, 2016. That same day the owner Tom came over to give me an estimate. The price quote was more than fair. The following morning Toms crew was on site by 8am as promised and by noon the problem tree was down. I plan on using Benders Tree Service again and would highly recommend their service to anyone seeking a tree cutting specialist.I am editing this review that I wrote a year ago. Today is March 15, 2018. I had Benders tree service back for a 2nd job on my property. It was not as big as last years job however it was completed fast, clean and at a fair price again. I intend to do more business with Benders in the near future.

Tom was the most expedient to provide the quote. He was extremely well priced. However, you get what you pay for. When he said leave the wood, I did not realize that meant throw the huge unwieldy piece randomly behind the house and leave it there. Overall fine, but left a bad taste in my mouth
