I dont typically go to this barber shop, only out of convenience because its the closest ones to my house. My father has a unisex hair salon for 50 years, and due to his older age and unavailability, I go somewhere else.The store is a really nice store, the owner thats near the front seems to be really nice. This review is less about those things and more about breakdown of communication resulting in a unhappy delivery of service.Im 35 at the time of this post, I see clients in person and over video call who spend thousands of dollars a month in services, so I need to be somewhat presentable. I asked for a #2, and after doing it, The barber switched to a #1.5 without even telling me before that he was going to do it. I was told, I did this cause it looks better - it does not. I asked for a fade, he took the #1.5 all the way up to my top hairline, so now when I call my hair it looks like I have a mushroom undercut from the 90s. When the barber was presenting his work the the mirror, I proceeded to tell him that I specifically did not want my hair to fall the way he did and his response was, it does do that, believe me, Ive been doing this for 25 years. Now I have to bring with me haircutting shears to my father while visiting him in rehabilitation to fix this mess.I am very disappointed to say the least and I am sad to say that I will not come here again. Feedback for the owners is rule #1, the customers always right. #2, if you think the customer is wrong, go back to rule #1.

The guys at Rich & Famous are consistently friendly. I came in without a appointment before going on vacation and Rich not only cut my hair but made me look great. One of the best barber shops on Long Island.

STAY AWAY!! I moved to the island from Queens a little over a year ago and traveling back to my old barber became a struggle. No time. Busy w kids and work. I read the reviews for Rich and famous and thought they sounded good....I was sorely mistaken. The barber that cut my hair butchered me. I look like I tried to cut it myself. My wife laughed when I walked in the door and said awww out of pity. I now have to go through the holidays looking like a 6 year old that found his dads clippers. STAY AWAY!!! Please. For. The. Love. Of. God. Stay. Away. Im not the guy that writes reviews....I HAD to this time... Just because you have a cape and have a set of clippers does not make you a barber Shame on Rich and Famous....hacks..

Rich and Famous barbershop is both a family freindly and dynamic barbershop. They cater to any age group and do a sublime job no matter what! Not only do I get my hair cut and shave here, I also bring my sons here to get their haircuts as well. I am baffled by the negative review made by the google user “IL NY”, I would have to make the assumption that he works for a competing barbershop because these guys are top notch and would rather spend an extra 20 minutes perfecting their cut than let anyone leave in that condition! You won’t regret going to this barbershop, there’s a reason they’ve been open this long and have so many great reviews.

Ive been going to this barbershop for a couple of years now, and let me tell you, they have never steered me wrong. Every single time someone goes into a barbershop, a person is supposed to feel better about him/herself. I feel better about myself after every visit. My self-esteem rises after every single haircut. My main barber is named Peter. He is above and beyond awesome. In addition, I also get haircuts from Rich, and he too ensures me a beautiful haircut. Everytime. Period. They also have alot of other dedicated barbers as well. New and old. All of the barbers should be given a try, because all of them put their heart and soul into each cut. Trust me if you come to this shop, you will not be disappointed. You will be satisfied and happy with your new haircut. 👍

Rich and Famous is a high quality men’s barbershop that has been serving the East meadow community for nearly a decade! The staff are absolutely committed to ensuring that each client leaves satisfied. Right now is their busiest time and while the wait is longer than normal, I would not think to go elsewhere just to save myself a little time. Quality is what you will get here. I have noticed other reviews where people are unsatisfied with the quality of their haircut. Keep in mind that there may be barbers in training at this establishment and these new individual’s level of skill should have no reflection on the general reputation of the establishment. The regular hair stylists here are immensely talented and dedicated to their craft.

Last week I needed a shape up for my short haircut. I came in with my 3 year old and my 4 month old. When my newborn began to wake up and move around in her stroller (as I was getting my cut, of course), Ari was very patient and accommodating, while I checked her, and ultimately I had my haircut while nursing her! This wouldnt have been possible if it wasnt because of the supportive staff and very welcoming and family friendly barbers! To top it all off, my haircut looks fantastic! Ive gotten more compliments this time around, than in the years Ive had it short. They gladly shape up my cut, gave me tips for changes in the cut, and left me looking fabulous! All while my children were happy too. I couldnt have bern more greatful!

I have been going to Rich and Pete for at least four years. I have since moved away from East Meadow, but continue to travel 30minutes for haircuts. The service is great, and it is a friendly atmosphere.When it came time for my child to get his first haircut, I didnt hesitate to bring him. They were GREAT for a first hair cut and even gave us his first piece of cut hair in a little book. My son goes on a regular basis for haircuts with no issues at all.I would rate 10 stars if google allowed.

Heres the deal. I was a loyal customer for 2 years. Things have really gone downhill there. Bottom line, they have 2 out of the many barbers that work there that know what they are going. Rich and Peter are top notch, but the whole town also knows it, so forget getting one of them unless you plan on waiting while the other barbers sit there twiddling their thumbs. There is a SEVERE drop off in talent from Rich and Peter to the others. My time is too important to me, Ill find somewhere else.

Charged me $30 for the new guy to shave my head and call it a medium fade. Ran the machine in 2 parts of my beard and called it a shave. Walked out with a muppet cut and what was left of my hair chopped to hell unevenly. Wont be going back.
