I brought my new puppy to Shore Haven veterinary Hosp. East Haven . I was very satisfied with the entire experience . I was greeted and welcomed pleasantly and I didn’t feel rushed all my questions were answered and I feel very Confident in returning my puppy for all his up coming wellness appointments. I believe he will get the best care possible. Thank you All at Shore Haven veterinary Hospital.

This location is understaffed and very short on the phone with you . We all understand there was a pandemic, but the world is open now .Hire staff and get organized. You are not reducing prices because we have to wait long period of times . It’s very unprofessional and why I continue to come here I have no idea. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

My dog Blue, a Pit Bull, does great at his visits and now with COVID he has to go in alone and also does great.I always request/see Dr. Callie Tatro, as she also has a pit bull and understands my needs and concerns.I’ve always had a good experience with Shore Haven Veterinary Hospital.Everyone is very friendly and their hospital is very clean and cute to look at while waiting.I have been to several vets in the past and I finally feel as if I have found a good place to go. They always explain and make me understand everything at my visit. Also, they are very reasonable when it comes to billing/prices for their services.I would definitely recommend Shore Haven as a good option for your pet. 😊

We’ve had several good experiences with Shore Haven. The staff is great and friendly, they’ve adjusted to COVID protocols smoothly and have been very helpful with our cat Stevie. Each checkup, shot, and followup has been very smooth and they’re able to keep her relaxed even without us being able to go in with her.My only negative experience was when our cat had worms and we kept getting charged for the same treatment and stool tests with absolutely no results for months.We had to take her to another vet for a different issue while Shore Haven was closed and they recommended a shot instead and the worms cleared right up and haven’t returned since. I wish Shore Haven would’ve recommended this kind of treatment when the previous one wasn’t working at all.I was almost ready to start looking for another vet after that experience, but they’ve been so good to us in every other way I decided to stay and ultimately I’m glad we did.

My cat is diabetic and went in for a tooth cleaning and extraction. After visit I was instructed to start giving insulin the following morning. As I did was instructed my cat went into a diabetic sugar drop due to the surgery and not being up to par. She was almost unconscious. I called and stated that there was something wrong and I need to bring her in as an emergency. Told to wait until 5pm since doctors were booked. I again stated that this was an emergency and she needed to come in now. Again put on hold, told to wait or go to Central Vet as my cat is dying in my arms. After much push back they finally allowed me to bring her in. She had a seizure when she got there due to extremely low blood sugar. Fortunately they were able to save her. Had to pick her up and transport her to Central vet for overnight care. Central vet was wonderful! After advising Shore Haven the following day that I would no longer use them as my vet the office manager emailed me to set up a conference call. The topper of all this is she never called me during our scheduled time. 4 hours later she leaves me a message that they were having phone problems. Wow....just wow. Done with them.

I love this place. The doctors really take the time to talk through all the options for my dogs medical issues and ensured I fully understood everything, so could make a well informed decision on how to go forward. They have been so kind to my anxious dogs whenever I have had to take them in (dogs were even more anxious as Covid doesnt allow me to go in with them). They were also wonderful & compassionate when I had to put one of my mice to sleep. Highly recommend!

I love this vet! When I got my baby bunny, I had nowhere to turn for all his vet needs since bunnies are considered exotic. Shore Haven took him in with open arms and have treated him like an absolute king! They have always been so transparent and really have taken the best care of him. I also love that they do boarding for bunnies, so I dont have to count on family to babysit him. All of their pricing is super reasonable and the staff has been nothing but kind. I highly recommend this place to anyone who has a pet they care dearly about!

I had a hard time finding a vet to spay our bunny Dixie and through a friend I found Shore Haven! They were AWESOME! I loved hearing them say how sweet Dixie is and her surgery went smooth with no complications. She bounced back in a day just like they said. The staff was very kind and compassionate - the physician called me with updates and they called to check on her the next day. I HIGHLY recommend them and i am so happy they will be Dixies vet moving forward!

The techs were very helpful and friendly. My Marlo is a little bit nervous and they were patient with her. She’s a large breed and she can be a bit unnerving but they were very professional and you can tell they love what they do. I have recommended them and will continue to do so.

I brought my hamster to this amazing vet and they truly are the best at what they do. It was a very hard time for me and my wife to go through but they made us feel like family throughout the entire ordeal.I would have given more stars if possible, you can’t duplicate the care they give. I’m giving 5 stars because they have been amazing on more than one occasion. I had a pleasant conversation with Mickey who is extremely nice, and a very pleasant individual to speak to. Our new shiba puppy has been a hand full and hard to understand and he helped us understand her a lot better. I have a French bulldog. Her name is Skylit! It was our first time at Shore Haven Veterinar. The staff are so friendly and polite! With this whole covid situation, I couldnt go in with my dog (baby). I was nervous and a little sceptical that I couldnt go in with her cause it was our frist time there but the doctor call me on the phone and it was like if I was there with her. That made me feel better and not as nervous! I quickly learn that she was in good hands/ great care! I will definitely be returning back with Shylit. 🙂🐾 Thanks so much for everything ❤!!!!

The staff is always pleasant and accommodating. They care about your pet and it shows. I love the way that the Tech comes in and goes over Morgans history, lets me know what she needs to have done, discusses the cost of anything that is over and above the normal and then lets me know what is or isnt necessary at this appointment in the event that finances my be a bit tight to have to pay for everything at once and then asks me if I have any questions or concerns that I would like to discuss with the Doctor. When the Doctor comes into the room, the tech that went over everything also comes into the room. Dr. Dammando is great with Morgan and he always takes the time to ask me if I have any concerns. If I said anything to the Tech he addresses it from the beginning. He actually listens to what I have to say. There is nothing phony about them. The day following the visit I actually got a call from Dr. Dammando telling me that everything was great with the blood work and that Morgan is really doing wonderfully. He said to call him if I had any questions or concerns and I would because I am very comfortable with everything there.

This place was AMAZING. I was referred to them by a friend since my vet had lost power due to the storm. My 10 year old dachshund was not walking and I was freaking out to say the least. I called and spoke to the receptionist and explained what was going on, she was extremely empathetic and kind. Although, they were booked she managed to squeeze me in later that day. Jeremiah our tech, was super sweet in dealing with my baby, he was caring and knowledgeable. Although, I was unable to go in the visit with my pup, the vet called and explained everything. What I really like about this place is that as opposed to many other veterinarians, they were reserved in their treatment plans. My current vet would have suggested an abundance (probably unnecessary) of tests to tell me what she probably already knows. This vet was very clear that the extensive test were for my comfort but she was pretty comfortable with her diagnosis. This truly speaks about the way they operate. I will be considering switching to them.

We recently changed veterinary hospitals because the last one we were taking our dog to had so many vets cycling in and out that we never spoke to the same one. I feel like we are getting better continuity of care at Shore Haven with more clear communication on our pets treatment plans. As a plus, the staff have been friendly and caring during all my interactions with them.

Amazing, first time visit. The staff are very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. It’s hard handing off your pet to someone you don’t know while you wait outside. The engaging staff made it all ok!

My dog was seen on Monday 4/26/2021, My pet is 5 months almost he went in for a initial appointment that was a appointment paid by all pets club Brandford. I purchased him from there back in march, so this vet and per store have a contract together.This vet is very unprofessional since the day of my dog appointment Ive been trying speak to the vet about my dog visit i still haven’t received a call back yet.I called over 10 times i keep speaking to receptionist Rakel !!!she keep telling me i’m going to receive a call back but i never do !!!!They had the wrong number in my file but the day my dog was seen they had the right number to call me and charge my credit card for a vaccine my dog needed but had at pet store before I purchased him.Im very upset about my experience here, all i wanted was a call back and wanted to discuss and underlying condition my dog has called cherry eye .I feel im being discriminated against for whatever reason and im frustrated with this whole ordeal its not humane to treat someone like this !!!!!!

So I’ve been using ShoreHaven now for about 3 years. My first dog Mocha was who I started with and now my Coconut is a patient and gets her grooming on there and also Daycare. I don’t know which service I love more, maybe the grooming because Coconut always looks so beautiful after her Hairdresser Francine takes care of all her grooming needs. But daycare is pretty special too. Coconut attends usually 4-5 days a week. She always sleeps through the night on daycare days. We love it. Lexi who works daycare loves our baby. I think the other dogs are jealous. Lol !!! I guess the Vet visits are probably the least enjoyable, I mean I know Coconut doesn’t love that part. We do however have all the confidence in the medical staff and we entrust our Coco with all the Veterinarians there. And the location is perfect for me. My wife and I own and operate Scarpellino’s Restaurant on Forbes Ave and live down the Beach in East Haven. It’s super convenient for us. Even during these trying time what with Covid-19 the staff really goes above and beyond with curb drop off and pick up. A simple phone call and someone is there in just a few minutes. ShoreHaven is a winner for us but moreover our baby is very happy whenever we say “wanna go see Lexi at daycare ?” Give them a try and tell them Danny and Luann sent you.

Obviously coming inside to be with my dog and being able to see exam and talk to doctor is the best scenario. But I understand its Covid. It was Rockys first time and it went very well. Despite Covid all my questions and requests were addressed.

Honestly, under these crazy pandemic circumstances, I dont know there is anything you could have done better! It was the smoothest curbside service Ive experienced anywhere, and in some ways the smoothest vet visit ever, since waiting with my cat in the car spared him the freak-out of sights and smells in the waiting room. My family has brought our animal friends to this practice for years, and weve never had a bad experience. Always excellent, empathetic care from you guys--thank you!

*If I could leave negative stars I would* We have been using this veterinarian for years because the previous veterinarian was amazing. Since she has left, our family dog, Jax, was recently diagnosed with osteosarcoma by the now head veterinarian. Our family has been a wreck and we did not receive one follow up call on how he is doing during this whole situation. Today, we called because Jax was in so much pain and we made the hard decision to put him down. Not only was the receptionist less than accommodating, telling us she could only get us in in MAY the earliest (it is March 29) she also came off SO rude. In a time of hurt for our entire family, they have been extremely unhelpful & nasty. I will never trust any of my animals with any of them again.

They are very unreliable. I’m always told to reach out to other vet hospitals when there is an emergency with my dogs.

I have been bringing my 1 dog and 2 cats here for years and have always been very pleased with the level of care provided and would recommend to any future potential client.

I have had nothing but positive experiences. Everyone I talk to whether it is staff or the vet seems invested in the health of my pets. They get them in same day whenever I have a real concern. They call to follow up and make sure everything is going ok after the visit. They are transparent about risk/benefit of recommendations and cost. I love that they have available boarding and grooming on site though I haven’t taken advantage of those services yet. They have handled things in a way that I think is very safe and reasonable during COVID. I’m really really happy to have this vet hospital near me

Poor Morals. I had to bring my puppy in for vaccination. When I ask the lady if this was part of the previous weeks vaccine, she said no and they we’re holding my dog in a leash and decided to go inside with him, when I refused and Said no, and now all of sudden I owed them $65, just the service I never wanted. I had to beg this people to give my dog back, and, then the lady was saying I need to pay, that’s poor values and morals. I shouldn’t have to pay to get my dog back, when I refused and de line the services way before they did anything. People just go somewhere else.

This is an unassuming clinic...until u walk in the door and are greeted by a friendly and compassionate staff! Also the set up of the exam rooms is really cool. I was there visiting with Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice and I loved the clinic

Everything was amazing! When I called screaming and crying like a nervous dog mom when he was bit, the staff was so helpful in taking care of Prince as well as reassuring me how he was when I called every hour. I know he was in good hands, I’m just never without him and this dog attack was a nightmare for us. But the staff there was amazing in calming us down and loving Prince so much!!! We have been going to Shore Haven Vet for about 8 months now. They have been the only ones to care for our pup and the care they have given to him has been outstanding! Everyone in the office is so friendly and very accommodating! They are always so helpful when it comes to any questions we may have when it comes to all aspects of owning a pet! Whether it be feeding, training, grooming and overall health! I will never take my pup anywhere else. We are so happy to be apart of Shore Haven Vet.

I have taken my first dog Thor here and now my second dog, Spike. The vets and vet techs are very kind and professional. You can tell how much they love all the animals they care for. Every concern of mine brought to them was met with patience and tailored vetinary advice. I always will recommend their care!

When the person who usually did the grooming for my pooch companion Peek moved from her old place to Shore Haven, I tagged along for the move. Francine, the groomer does excellent work on Peek (see attached picture) and has done so for close to six years now. The rest of the staff is trustworthy also. Although Peeks medical needs are handled by another vets office at the moment, if he ever needs to change offices for some reason well be a full time Shore Haven group of customers.Edit: About the only complaint I have is Shore Haven DOES NOT respond to requests for grooming appointments made through their website in a TIMELY fashion. One would think theyd call within the same day or by 48 hours later to set said appointment up with PAYING customers. If this keeps up, I will take my furry buddy elsewhere for his grooming needs.

All of the technicians and doctors are friendly and helpful! We take our puppy and 2 cats here and they have been seen for regular check ups and more pressing issues, and all visits have been professional and efficient. Plus our puppy loves their doggy day care! Highly recommend!!

This place is so poorly run its sad. In an industry here to help animals they sure dont care how high the rack the bill up when you tell them youre financially stuggiling. Ive never been to a vet that increases your bill without warning. I was told my cat had 6 months, she died a week after being treated here. No bedside manner. No response from office manager when I attempted to contact numerous times. There are better facilities in the area.

For the last 5 years you have taken care of my rescue doggie-dog, Easy. She is always so well-taken care of and she and I are so grateful for your kindness and your loving care. Easy and I both thank you.

My rotti goes there and they love her, the doctor is very caring. my pooch also attends daycare she looks forward on going pluss its very good for her interaction with people and other dogs I recommend this place, price is good also.

Before DrDamando and Dr Rife left this was an amazing place. I take 3 dogs there and spend thousands of dollars a year. My oldest dog is diabetic and the service is sub par. They fob you off to Central refuse do do tests when you want to pay for them and I have met at least 29 people who left or are leaving.

Due to the pandemic I was unable to go inside with my puppy but I still received great service! I was able to talk to the veterinarian multiple times on the phone throughout the visit. Phone communication was very effective, they took their time and were able to answer all my questions that I had. Highly recommend!

My cat had to go under anthesia and I was very nervous but they reassured me and went over everything before anything was done they even called later to ask a question before they went farther The team.was great Dr Faurber was just wonderful. Thank you all

They welcomed my new kitten with open arms and treated her like a friend not just a pet. They are extremely thorough in their care. They also give you a financial estimate for spay/neautering procedure which is helpful to know beforehand. Im so happy we have chosen shore haven.

We have been coming here for years to maintain our cat and dogs. We always receive professional service.

Ive had a good experience bringing my two cats to Shore Haven. Its very clean and the vets/techs are knowledgeable and friendly. The only issues Ive had are that the wait times have been quite long (30+ min) even if youve scheduled an appointment, that Im often put on hold for a long time when calling and sometimes have to hang up and try again, and finally that its a bit pricey compared to other vets Ive used in the past. The standard of care is good, however.

Took my 11 week old pup in for a checkup and shots during the COVID-19 pandemic. Although, I had concerns about sending in my pup alone, the experience was wonderful. The vet and tech were both understanding and answered all of my questions. I will continue to bring my little guy to Shore Haven to receive the best quality care.

Our first ever vet appointment was at Shore Haven this past weekend. Not only were the staff kind and courteous, but they made our little pup feel very special. They were enormously gentle with her, which made her comfortable with her surroundings! Id recommend this vet highly!

We experienced the saddest moment of our lives on New Years Eve 2018 when we had to put our 15-year-old Yorkie down. The incredibly amazing, compassionate staff, along with Dr Flaubert, eased my suffering as I held my best buddy ‘til the end. We now have a new rescue baby that is always lovingly welcomed by the entire staff. Additionally, their grooming services are unmatched. Go to this groomer! All in all this is a great hospital.

We brought our two rabbits here for spays and the staff was very helpful when answering any questions that we had along the way. One of our rabbits did have some post-op complications but for the most part the office was pretty responsive - Dr. Faubert even took the time to check in with us on her day off. Well definitely be bringing our rabbits back here for any future needs.

Shore Haven was welcoming and helpful. We have several pets that are seen at Shore Haven and just got three bunnies. We love our bunnies and we had LOTS of questions. Shore Haven was very kind and patient and helped us by answering ALL our questions and printing out some additional information to help us take the best care of our pets.

Lovely experience. My dog was very comfortable. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Home like setting. They also have free coffee for the customers!!! My dog loves the sports mixed treats as well, made him feel right at home!!!

This is a corporate money maker. There is no care for your fur baby. Mine was left in a cage all day due to over booked schuler. Sat outside 45 min before anyone came to get my dog. Left me on hold forever trying to see why he wasnt ready for pick up. Then told 4 different stories from each person I finally did speak 5o. DO NOT GO THERE.

Had an appointment at 7 am for surgery a bladder stone removal..I was on time but the place wasnt even open yet a few min later 2 people and a dog show up and unlock the door go in, lock the door behind them and dissapeared to the back...we had seen each other,they knew I was there yet didnt even gesture or otherwise acknowledge my presence...at 7 11 AM I called the front desk and was asked to be placed on hold by rosie, ok the door wasnt even unlocked yet at nearly 715 and Im being asked to hold...once they unlocked the door the guy held the door open so I walked in he then asked me if he could help I said I was there for the dogs surgery...he didnt have any idea about it I was then approached by Rosie again and asked to go outside that was confusing and un necessary regardless of the pandemic rules I was already inside basically invited in already..then the 1st ? she asked was if I consent to CPR if there are any complications...at that point I was spooked but asked some basic questions and was treated as a necessary inconvenience rather than a concerned pet owner...I had decided that the whole experience was disorganized and borderline rude I was assured 2 days prior they would be ready and waiting for me as I had to miss a day of work yet they seemed unaware and uninterested in me or my pets well being..I left with my dog having lost confidence...an hour later I called and asked to speak to the veterinarian and was told by Rosie they werent in yet...why was the appointment at 7 if at 8 15 the dr was not even in yet ? I asked that the dr call as soon as they come in...the call didnt come by 9 15 so I called back and was told they were already in appointments...and the chief medical advisor would call me that afternoon..I called back 10 min later and asked if I could bring her back for the surgery said I over reacted earlier...I was put on hold for 7 min to be denied the surgery my dog needs and I took off work for because they had an emergency come in in my place...Its pretty clear to me at that point my orginal apprehension was spot on...they just pump them in and send them out without regard for service or concern for the customers needs or their pets..If you dont mind bringing your pet to the planned parenthood of vets and dont need professional, organized, courteous service then you might be ok here, however: If you really want those basic human services and feel apprehensive about in the least that unprofessional, disorganized customer service correlates to not the best medical attention for your pet then I would recommend you steer clear..

So far so good they were very pleasant and helpful on the phone, convenient because they came out to the car for my puppy and answered any questions that I had patently.

We were very pleased that he Vet took the time to speak to us on the phone about Sweet Pea, her vaccination schedule, etc.

My 15 year old Mini Cookie passed away. Shore Haven prolonged her life with excellent care. All of the staff from the front desk to the Vet assistants and the wonderful veterinarians werealways professional and incredibly patient and supportive. We are lucky to have a new member of our family Cosmo and he had his first visit at Shore Haven and it went really well. Bring your animals here !

I first visited Shore Haven this past week with my new rescue dog, and they were absolutely wonderful with answering all of my questions and giving a thorough checkup to my pup. They have a very efficient and safe protocol put in place to protect both their workers, their visitors, and all animals, which was particularly important to me.

They can’t handle Covid-19 I waited in the parking lot for hours they forgot my dog was in the room they gave me a used empty bottle of ear flush and charged me for a full bottle. They never contacted me about my dog after the appointment. When I called to complain they said they would have a supervisor contact me and that never happened!

We took our Chow-Chow Onyx in for treatment after reading the reviews for Shore Haven. Dr. Rife is so amazing and although our baby has a horrible infection, she treated her immediately, but not unnecessarily. Onyx was given an antibiotic and fluids and should be feeling better tomorrow prayerfully. I’m thankful we found Shore Haven, it’s so clean and the entire staff is so professional and caring. Our three pups have a new Dr. that we can trust. Thanks Dr. Rife!

Shore Haven Veterinary Hospital has consistently provided excellent care for my dog. From vaccines, to paw injuries, to emergency advice, Shore Haven has been caring, responsive, and helpful. We also make use of their dog day care, which is also great quality.

I simply LOVE the doctors and staff at this vet! I brought my friends cat who is really vicious. They rolled him in a towel and he was fine throughout the entire exam and shots.

My boyfriend and I have been taking our dog, Oliver Twist, to Shore Haven Veterinary Hospital for a couple of years now and through the years, their service has been exceptional.The place is adorably decorated, very spacious, and most of all, kept immaculately clean. Theres even a refreshment station with teas and coffee for clients to help themselves to during a visit!The staff has been consistently friendly and accommodating while providing prompt service during all of our dealings. Theyre also diligent in caring for your pet(s): they routinely keep you updated about your pets vaccination schedule and all other health needs. They even call a day or so after your visit to check-in on your pet!While Im sure all the veterinarians at the practice are wonderful, the veterinarian we request for all our visits is Dr. Tatro. Shes exceedingly kind and provides clear explanations to all your concerns. Shell even sit on the floor with your pup if theyre not the biggest fan of going to the doctor! Not many veterinarians are as humble or patient as she is.Despite recently moving to Stamford, CT, we refused to change over to a different veterinary practice, and now our second puppy, Indie, is looked after by them as well! I highly recommend Shore Haven Veterinary Hospital and Dr. Tatro! I cannot compliment them enough!

ABSOLUTELY NOBODY BETTER COME HERE! Alls they want is the money! They do not care about your pets they care about the money only ! They told my my cat needed surgery and come to find out from another vet that it was a minor fracture on her pelvic. 1,000 dollars to tell me what is wrong with my cat. Wouldn’t recommend this place to the richest person in the world. Horrible!

I boarded my rabbit here for the first time and also took her for a visit. She loved it. They also trimmed her nails for me which is super stressful for her and I. I will only use Shore Haven in the future for all my needs!

Came in for an emergency with my very sick cat. The staff was reassuring and so very kind. They took my cat immediately and there was no excruciating waiting time. The doctors were friendly, professional, and very understanding. Overall, I highly recommend this place for your furry friends because they take exceptional care of them and are very understanding with their owners. I will be eternally grateful for their kindness and care with both my cat and myself.

Such a neat experience. When you walk in the door, the space is large, clean and inviting. Theres a play area where you can watch dogs working out some energy; they offer kennel services, grooming, a kissing booth for photo opps, they also promote a local artist who you can commission to make a painting of your pet to last for years to come. They provide free coffee / tea / water. The vet and her assistant were so attentive and gentle with our two cats; they took their time to listen to us, and to focus on our cats to ensure everything was okay. They listened to us and about various concerns / questions we had. The individual exam rooms were adorable -- from the lobby area, each exam room looks like a little exam house with a door, and a faux window and roof. It was adorable. We are DEFINITELY going back to this place.

My husband and I have 4 cats and usually use another vet, however, when we got our new puppy we noticed he might have some dental problems and upon calling our usual vet they mentioned they would look but would ultimately refer us to a specialist so we decided to look for a vet that offered it all. Shore Haven was the one I decided to take our dog to for his first vet appointment. The wait time to see the vet after the tech was in was long and almost gave us second thoughts but it was worth every minute. The vet came in and was very knowledgeable and helpful as well as super good with our dog. We also realized the reason why the wait was so long was because she will stay and answer every single question you have and explain every option for every concern you may have. I have only been there for one visit but am already sold and will never go anywhere else for vet care.

I started going here 5 months ago and I love it. I’ve used them for vet care, boarding and doggie day care. They are very knowledgeable and caring Vets. I also like their flexible hours all of their services.

The staff here is friendly and accommodating to making your pet feel comfortable in the waiting room. The veterinarian I saw was helpful and showed care for all of my questions and concerns regarding my cat. The only reason I give 4 instead of 5 stars is that I had to wait so long to be seen. I arrived early and then still waited well past my appointment time. However, this will not deter me from returning and recommending this veterinary practice.

We scheduled an appointment to have our rabbit, Checkers, be seen to schedule a neuter. The staff were so friendly as well as the doctor! Very knowledgeable and the place is so clean and the decor is so fun! Definitely recommend bringing your pet here!

The Vets and staff at Shore Haven Veterinary Hospital always show enormous care for our pets. We highly recommend them.

This place has been horrific . My cat is dead because of this vet and they just have no cares . Barely gives me any information about anything that’s going on barely any information about the medications she’s taking .. we were just looking for advice on how to proceed and instead they give us the run around. Constantly they will call back and I have to call literally 10 times before I speak to the doctor. They don’t call back. IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET PLEASE DON’T GO TO THIS VET Dr.Faubert we spent over $2,000 with this vet and my cat is dead and I still haven’t gotten a call back .. very hurtful

The best vet care I have ever experienced in more than 40 years of having animals. Compassionate and caring for animals and their pet parents. The best staff and most awesome vets........entire facility sparkling clean.

Always a great experience here. They have helped us with our dog and our rabbit. Not a single thing to complain about. Definitely the place to bring your animals.

I am so glad to see Shore Haven fully staffed again. They all take the best care of not only my pets but me!!! I had a tough time getting Ivy there because I couldnt get her into the carrier. The understanding and flexibility we were shown was very much appreciated. Thank you ALL!! I fell the love and care :)

I cannot say enough good things about Shore Haven Veterinary Hospital, and feel so blessed to have this wonderful place for my pup to be able to go, play and be so very well taken care of---he gets SO excited as we are pulling off Rt. 1 to get there !My little guy is great, but is challenged with a few anxieties, which many places would not even bother to address never mind put up and deal with. These dedicated, extraordinary people who work there have been astonishing with and for my dog.They keep in constant contact with me after each visit, (which is usually at daycare 2x/week, lately), and have mapped out a plan for him on how to handle his issues/struggles then have executed that plan to the entire Staff.I am also taken aback by the kindness and loving manner in which these folks have handled our individual situation - and are always smiling and accommodating on top of it !I am totally comfortable having Shore Haven care for my pup, and have even him changed over to one of their Vets. for his health care needs.A giant HUG and THANK YOU go out to Shore Haven and all who have dedicated themselves to this establishment !

Beautiful space...very well decorated and extremely clean. Staff is excellent...from the receptionists to the vet techs and the veterinarians. Highly recommend. Prices are extremely reasonable and fair...they truly care about the animals, and the environment is always friendly.My dog has been treated for many different things at this vet, from having a teeth cleaning/teeth extracted, to treating illness and having surgery. He is also boarded here during times of travel. Always outstanding service and care. I was originally going to a different veterinarian in a completely different area and was immensely dissatisfied. Figured I try this place and I feel in love with it instantly...just truly felt right.Keep up the good work!

The facility is very clean, bright and cheerful. The staff have been very helpful and prompt with responses. Even though we live in Wallingford, we are willing to make the trip. They even have great Saturday hours!

The team at Shore Haven Veterinary Hospital are great! Dr. Hinc was wonderful with my cat Ben - very gentle and soothing (he was very nervous!). The facility is clean and inviting, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Many of the furry patients were greeted by name when they came in, which made me feel good when I first arrived. I just moved to the New Haven area so I researched a number of vets and Shore Haven stood out as the best place to go. Im very happy with my decision!

This vet used to be fantastic. Over the last year or so management has changed and nobody knows what they are doing anymore.Dr Rife and Jeremiah are the only two people left there that I would trust my animals with, and unfortunately I get stuck with other techs and vets that are frustrating and don’t communicate with eachother or clients. I am changing my vet at this time after being a client since 2014 bc of how bad things have gotten.You have to call repeatedly to get any test results back, when they tell you a med will be ready in 30 mins it’s not ready when you come to pick it up 30 mins later and you are told it will be another 45 mins. You never see the same face twice anymore. The manager Mickey has no idea what he is doing.I spent thousands at ShoreHaven trying to get my previous dog healthy again only to find out from another vet that my dog had a probably congenital defect and had to be put down. Had any of the vets that saw my dog during that time looked at his bloodwork from before he was in crisis they could have saved my dog a lot of suffering. I stayed a client after that terrible ordeal only because of my trust in Dr Rife and Jeremiah.Additional issues have persisted since, and at this point I’m no longer comfortable bringing my animals to ShoreHaven. When I emailed to inform them that I would be switching vet practices, I got a generic “thanks for letting us know” reply back, and when I asked if that’s the appropriate way to reply to a longtime client leaving the practice, I got a BS reply that the previous reply was an auto reply. An auto reply to what? “Thanks for letting us know” isn’t an appropriate reply to most email inquiries, so that being an auto reply is absolutely BS.I am DONE with ShoreHaven.

Staff was very nice. Took my cat in because she was licking herself bald. The veterinarian took the time to go through a lot of information with me and answer all my questions and explain everything I should try. This was the first time my cat had been to the vet in a few years but I didnt feel judged or criticized. Overall very good experience.

Clean, friendly and reassuring! This office/staff was amazing from my original call, to the visit and discharge. The staff explained everything to us in detail, pricing was as quoted, the Doctor called shortly after the surgery to update us on how successful the procedure was and on how our bunny was doing. No other services were forced upon us and our bunny is happy and healthy! Our family would recommend this office to any/all pet owners!

Couldn’t be more pleased with a first time visit for my kitten.

My dog needed dental surgery and they were so welcoming and my dog was treated so well! I was so excited to see him and he was so comfortable with the staff he didnt want to leave. The doctors followed up to see how he was doing with a personal phone call and explained exactly what the procedure was and how good he did. Highly recommend!

Our experience was lovely and comforting. My rabbit was sick and had surgery. As a rabbit mom it was scary to see her sick. They did everything to make sure she was taken care of. There were NO complications and my little girl is happy and so far healthy. That’s all I could ask for. We were lucky to have them take care of us.

Ive taken all of my cats to Shore Haven and theyve always been phenomenal. All of the staff are so kind and caring to my cats even though my cats are very certain the works is ending. Ive never seen someone treat an animal actively trying to escape with such compassion.

DO NOT BUY ANY MEDICATION FROM HERE. TAKE THE RX AND GO! For one medication today they charged me $125 when I could have gotten it from chewy.com for $40 or walmart pharmacy for $50. Do your research before you swipe your card! This was an epic ripoff especially when you mention losing your job due to covid-19. A ten minute appointment cost me $280. So ridiculous!

Clean facility with wonderful staff, located right off the highway. We have been coming here for years. I highly recommend it to my family and friends.

I am a senior lady with a senior dog, who has had no experience with other dogs or people,and I was very worried about her experiences at a new vet and, I also am boarding her for the first time at 11 years old, because of the wonderful first visit we had at Shore Haven, she was treated like she was a super star,and showed such gentle handling, we highly recommend this great animal care center, and they can take care of any and all your needs,, I had always had a service come to my home, because she became so anxious when I took her to a facility,but she was much more comfortable here because of the staff,and their genuine concern for Minnie

We sadly had to put our dog to sleep. They handled everything with so much compassion and kindness. Made all the difference. Affordable too. Dr. Faubert and Steph were the best.

We switched to shore haven after getting really bad care and experiences at our previous vet. With the COVID-19 pandemic going on we were really on edge about about not being able to go in with our pup to see/hear everything going on because of our previous experiences.However, the staff at shore Haven and Dr. Barscz gave us her complete confidence that our fur baby was in great hands and she knew what she was doing. After the visit Chai came out acting her self and was happy which wasn’t the case at our previous vet!Thank you Shore Haven!
