Wish I could give them zero stars. They are ok if you only ask them to replace tires. I made the mistake of having them address a squeaky sound coming from the rear of my car. The replaced tires, shocks and muffler clips and did an alignment (taking four days because they messed up getting parts). However, they COMPLETELY MISSED a very obvious problem with the suspension (my car may be totaled). The auto body experts I went to after Mavis were floored that Mavis missed this (and in the process Mavis charged me nearly $900) for useless work.I left a message for a manager but never received a call back. I dont have time now to chase them (bought new car, selling house, etc.) but want to warn others to be careful with them, as they really only know tires.

I brought my tire in 2 weeks ago for them just to change it on the rim. Called to find out where it was it never ordered it. When it was ready I picked it up. The guy was completely rude because I asked why it take two weeks. Real nasty guy. And he charged me $258 for a tire that took them over two weeks. I asked him do I get a discount for the inconvenience. He replied no we dont give discounts. Even though that the place is called MavisDiscount Tires . Place is very shady stay away from this place.

Had a screw in my tire and the staff was about to close…they took care of it with no problem and right away. They gave me the peace of mind I needed with a pregnant wife who is due at any moment! Friendly receptionist and manager who wanted to help. The technician was clean, prompt and topped up the other tires with air and sent us in our way. Extremely grateful.

Purchased 4 tires from Mavis East Hanover. Went in to have the tires rotated. Was told by Patrick that I needed new tires and new battery. When I told him I would think about it, and that I just wanted the tires rotated, he confirmed it was completed after waiting about 1 1/2 hours. I went into the shop to look at the tires, and found they had not rotated them. I asked again to rotate them, but they refused saying I needed new tires. I contacted the Mavis corporate office, and never heard back from them either. It is no wonder why they will not perform the work they offer when they are making the sale. I would NOT purchase tires again from Mavis. They only want to sell tires and do not want to stand behind their brand. It takes much less to keep a customer happy then to try to find a new one.

I was just there today due to a flat tire. Even though they were closing down and ready to go Michael & Eddie took the time to help me out. Everytime i come in to service, the customer experience on the front desk is amazing. But, I am not happy with the vehicle service. I was told that my steering rattling experience will go with the brake shoe changed which I did, then I come back after 4 months with the same experience and was told the shockers are bad, I change that and now the reason given is my brakes are bad. I kept paying on what was asked but the condition of the car remains the same.

The management at this location were very hopefully and got straight to the point with the issues I had with my car. The service was efficient and tedious! Will recommend this shop to others.

Very professional Mavis Discount Tire, been to several other car shops but Mavis tops all. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Came in for a brake job and was in and out within an hour. Angel pointed everything that was wrong with my brakes and suggested a solution. Never pressured me into any decision. Prices are very good with quality parts, thank you will be back!

Had a feeling my wheels were off while driving through all this snow we have been having, so a friend recommended this location. Its about a half an hour away from me but it was worth the drive. The service was fast.AJ helped me out and informed me of everything going on with my car. I needed two tires so he gave me great options on the different tires they had. This location has customer service I can trust. They could have told me I needed new breaks under my own suspicion that they might be worn out, but they inspected and told me they were in great shape.A quick note: The whole staff were taking turns shoveling snow and keeping the location safe of hazards while they werent busy working on cars or with customers. Very nice of them to think of their customers safety!Worth the visit!Now I will be recommended this spot to people I know

I took my truck to this Mavis after changing the brakes myself. The brakes were soft after changing and after many attempts to diagnose the problem I took it to these guys. Best experience ever! Today was my first time here, and I can confidently say Mavis is the best in the area if you need repair work of any kind. The manager Carlton is extremely helpful, and went out of his way to take me around my car and show me the reasoning behind all the recommendations he made -- no hard sell whatsoever. He treated me like I had been a customer for years, and I will absolutely be going back the next time I need repair work.

Im neutral as I went on a Sunday & they use a skeleton crew. Avoid Sunday unless you must only go that day. They are a full service shop.

The service at this Mavis (East Hanover) was absolutely excellent. When I called to make an appointment, all of my questions were answered and they were able to take my appointment immediately. Carlton was extremely helpful. In fact, Im confident in saying that Ive never received better service from an auto mechanic. All in the matter of a few hours, he identified the problem quickly, was able to tell me what had to be done and followed up with speedy service. I brought my car in at 4:00PM for repair and the service was completed by 5:00PM. More importantly, there was never a feeling of being taken advantage of and the employees genuinely wanted to help out. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Visited East Hanover Mavis for an oil change and what seemed to be a leak in the undercarriage of my truck. Manager Reyes and his staff were very professional and courteous, not to mention were able to get me in and out as per my scheduled appointment, with no issues. The men that were running this shop were so efficient, so polite, and really made me feel safe and like they were going to take good care of my concerns and my car. What they didnt do was treat me any kind of way because I am a woman. The customer service at this establishment is above and beyond that of any business I have been to in such a long time. All I had done was installing new tires on my car. I was given a quote and had the tires ordered to this location. The tires arrived on time within several days. When I went in to have the tires changed, I was greeted by Luis (the manager, hes awesome) and didnt have to wait. They immediately started installing the tires. When I had to pay, the service rep (Devon) was absolutely terrible. I was quoted and charged two difference prices which could have easily been avoided. All Devon had to do was confirm the price with the manager or even check on the Mavis website to price match. Instead, he became angry and even cussed at me under his breath when I told him I wasnt going to sign the receipt and Id rather wait for Luis (who was on break) to come back. Luis took care of everything and was able to process the refund the next morning. This should have been a 5 star rating because the work was fine, the price was great and the manager was very helpful but you CANT have someone like that working at the front desk. Its embarrassing and really bad for your business. I want to give this 0 stars because of Devon and 5 stars because of Luis.

Carlton is the embodiment of customer service, I arrived 13 weeks ago on a crisis contract and he was so helpful in helping me get my car right and ready to drive back home, he was gracious enough to help with possible discounts since I was working with in a budget. This gentleman and his crew definitely deserve thumbs up 100%.

I went to Mavis Discount Tire on 155 Route 10 in East Hanover last week and they were great. I had a suspension issue with my Toyota and Angel the owner took care of me right away!!

They were about to close. Had a slow leak in my tire due to a nail. Having to drive a long way home they were nice enough to take me. Had me in and out in and out in 10 minutes.Great customer service!

Their customer service was amazing by Luis and Tracy. Luis immediately got his top mechanic to work on my 2015 BMW X1 xDrive28i to replace my rear / front rotors and rear / front brakes. Luis even notify that the service maybe 3 hours wait, but they got it done within 2 hours.

To be quite honest they don’t even deserve one star Long story Short I had a flat tire in the middle of the night towed it to their at 11:30 PM Spoke to someone at 8 AM about changing a tire and they said it would be ready at 3 PM and then I called 5:48 Being that they close at six and they forgot about me and left my car and then they said it would be ready at 10:30 AM I get to their shop and it’s not ready but the manager Jeff was ready to charge me $306 for work that was never done Because the mechanic said the car is still sitting out there we haven’t done any work on it yet so we can’t charge this customer This is just one of two incidents that I had dealt with trying to get service from this Mavis. Do not go to this Mavis they don’t know what they’re doing.

These guys are amazing. Jonathan helped me select the right tire after one of my winters became flat. He and his team worked with the fact that I had limited time and a budget (he was able to price match something for me). Even while I was here I saw the team work with other customers unique tire situations to make it work for them. Im only coming back here in the future for all my tire needs.

It was the worst experience I ever went through at a Mavis. They charged me over $50 for an oil change after waiting almost two hours because they ran out of the oil and had to go buy synthetic oil. Then they told me that I needed windshield wipers and I agree to have them installed and then they forgot to install them and wanted to install them after almost 2 hours of me waiting. I will never return to the Mavis in East Hanover!

I have been a witness how they tried to scam over 100 bucks from a customer by adding all kinds of fees and labor to a firm quote they just gave an hour earlier.As for me I have been given a timeframe of 1.5 to 2 hours to simply change a tire. No problem, I planned this in my schedule. But after coming back in two hours they still didnt touch my car. Ended up waiting 3 hours and instead of apologies I got a rude attitude from Devon. Not listening at all, Interrupting me with his all right, rolling eyes and turning away. One of those places I wish would go out of business because they dont appreciate repeated customers servicing 7 vehicles at their shop.

I lucked out. Had a rare sized 265 50r20 tire in stock that no other store, Mavis or otherwise, could get for at least 3 more days. The guy at the desk on Sunday 24 September was great. Took me in immediately and set me up. He was helping a few different people but was fast and friendly. Got my tire off and new one mounted in less than a half hour. Even gave me a bit of a break on the price, said he felt bad I had to replace a tire with 9,000 miles on it. Made me feel good. Would definitely shop here again. Only problem was its right next to that damn pizza place and the kids gave me hell about not being able to pop in to play some games.

Called ahead to have new tires mounted and balanced. Was told to be there in an hr. When I arrived it was nearly 10 min before someone even bothered to come in from the garage to help me. Took another hr for them to pull the car into the garage. And than once in it sat on the lift for another 45 min. When I asked what was talk my so long, mounting and balancing tires should take less than 10 min per tire, the guy says uh I dont know. Looks like theyre working on your tires. It can take a long time it depends on how hard it is to get the tires off. I swap between studded snows and summer tires every year, plus getting a second set mounted for the track, not once has that been the case.They have also pulled in 3 cars since my car was pulled in. 2 out of the 3 have been helped and left even though they arrived nearly an hour after I did.I unfortunately cant comment on quality of work as I am STILL waiting. 2 hrs and counting. Unless you have hours to waste for even the simplest of services I would avoid this facility.** to update after service completion.The tires were finally completed after roughly 2 hrs and 15 min. When I went to pay I was charged double what I paid at a different STS location 6 months ago. 36$ per wheel. When I asked why the nearly 45% increase I was given the answer well were Mavis tire now not STS yet the building says STS. The sign says STS. They even answer the phone hello this is STS tire... But when confronted on price discrepancy suddenly theyre Mavis.To make matters worse when I returned home to wash the car I discovered that not 1 but all 4 wheels had been damaged. I have since filed a formal damage report and complaint with corporate and am awaiting a resolution from the regional manager.DO NOT GO HERE if you value your time, money, or vehicle.Lastly to clarify for anyone who took the time to read this. This is not a review / complaint against STS. This should reflect only upon this facility. I have been using STS tire for more than 10 years and have never had a problem. Most recently this past winter when I had snow tires mounted and balanced at the East Rutherford location. They stayed open past closing during the blizzard to make sure that my tires were done. For half the price and in a mere 40 min.

Ive been going to the STS in East Hanover for years. The reason, at first, was simply convenience as the location is very close to where I work. But, each time I go in for either routine maintenance or a big fix, I am greeted by a friendly & competent staff, even after Bobs retirement. Everything that is wrong, could be wrong or being done to my car is explained in laymans terms & the cost broken down so I know exactly for what Im paying. Service is quick & done well & I always feel safer getting back into my car once STS has had their hands on it. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone.

I brought my car to have the brake pads replaced. Unfortunately, I needed new rotors, as well, but I didnt have enough to afford both the pads and the rotors. They explained that if I only got the brake pads, they will only last about a month. So, they urged me that its important I get both because it would be unsafe to continue driving in my current condition (again I dont have enough to pay for both). I figure there are only two possible outcomes I pay for only the new pads and come back when I raise the funds for a replacement of both the pads and rotors (because the pads would only last a month) or they put everything back in place and I continue driving in my current condition (because there was no where else I could have gotten the money from). Clearly one solution was better than the other, not ideal, but better. What do they do? The refuse to put new brake pads, because if theres a chance that I get into accident it will be traced that they services the car and would get in trouble. Well, two days later I get into accident. Guess why? My braking system failed, because the service center I went to refused I had some safety until a better option was possible. Thanks a lot STS you sure looked out for my safety there!At least be happy to know theres no way to trace the accident to you! That really makes me happy.
