If you’re a person of color who speaks with a thick accent, this might not be a safe space for you. My father went in two times the first time when he needed him to loosen the bolts on his tires, the second when he was trying to get an estimate on an issue with my car’s AC. Both times he belittled my dad who spoke English to him with his (my dad’s) thicker accent. The first time when he asked him about the tires he, very aggressively, proclaimed to my father that he was “not responsible if his tires break” and then whispered something about him to the white customer in the shop, who seemed to laugh at whatever that man had said about my father. The second time he went in and once again belittled my father because he didn’t have an answer to his question for the car he had just recently bought. I was recommended this shop by several people for his politeness and dependability, but I am not able to share the same information to others regarding this experience. What a shame.

Honest, high quality service, reasonable price

100% recommend! Greg was so kind, fast, and reasonable. At 1pm, while on the interstate, my car got very loud and I was hearing a rattling noise. 1:30pm, I call Greg, he gets me in right away. I drop it off, get a call at 2pm, he knows the problem, tells me parts come in tomorrow, heres your cost. I say go ahead. He calls back at 4pm saying the parts came in and were all fixed, come pick it up. He shows me what the problem was, walks through it for me. I pay for it, $200 less than what he quoted me! I dont know where you could get better, faster, more polite service than that! I will definitely be recommending and going back!

Took my daughters 2007 Subaru Forester in with check engine light on. Did a great job diagnosing what was a minor issue. Repaired and changed oil. Greg is very thorough and fair. Feel great sending daughter back without me. Highly recommend!

Greg did a great job. I was in for a radiator flush and my car with a rear engine front radiator is a slightly more difficult flush. He was knowledgeable and fast. My car starts a bit different so he took the time to make sure it started fine for him. He also gave me a heads up on my radiator fan future issue. I am very pleased to have found Greg for all my future routine maintenance.

I was referred by a friend when my sons car needed more brake work than I wanted to do at the time. Took it to Almax and they were fast and charged me what I thought was a very fair price for the work they did. They also didnt try to upsell me on a bunch of stuff I didnt need. Fast forward to this week, and I have another old car for my other son that needed some sort of fuel work. I was worried it could be something to do with the fuel injectors and it could really run up the price. He said hed take a look and let me know what he found. It was just a minor part and once again, he gave me a very fair price to repair it and didnt try to tell me it was something more than it was just to charge me more. My friend told me they were fast and reliable and that I could trust them. I believe that now and they have definitely earned my future business. No offense, but hopefully I wont need to go see them TOO often, if you know what I mean. :)

Greg is the best machanic I know! Hes honest and will never do the job without letting you know the full cost. I will never go to another place! For for my car to be checked out. He is God sent. We need more car repairmen like Greg! Greg has done work several times for different vehicles. The place to go for the work to be done rite.

Greg is a great guy. My Jeep commander was making a horrible pinging noise and he was able to check it out at noon, called me by 12:30 and told me what was wrong, how much it would cost and had it done by 4pm the same day. I lucked out finding him! He also saved the bad part and made sure to show it to me. Previous mechanics have made me feel overwhelmed and given me long list of things I “needed done ASAP” and made me feel taken advantage of. I will continue going here as long as it is open.

Im pretty much useless when it comes to my car, but Greg never took advantage of that and has always given me the truth. He beats national chains easily! Hes a good guy and knows what hes doing.

Great service! I hit a pot hole last winter and hadnt driven my car all summer because a shop in St. Paul had quoted me $1200 to fix the suspension issue. I decided to take it to Almax for a second opinion and the owner actually took me out to his shop and showed me exactly what was wrong with my car. His quote was under $300 for the repair! This was a lesson learned for me. Be careful who you trust with your car repairs. The thing I most appreciated was the fact that Almax takes the time to educate the car owner and point out where the problems exist. I have a new repair guy and Im very happy!!!

Checked my battery and alternator, didnt give a sales pitch or BS. Said the alternator was good and replaced the battery on the spot. Greg is a good guy and came recommended by a friend.

Warning, do not go here! I told them I wanted the mobile 5000 change which was listed on there board. Go to pay and they gave me a synthesized oil change which was at least $70. This is all after waiting almost 2 hours because they didnt have a filter even though I had made a appointment.

I called to get an estimate on a repair. The guy was short with me and told me he was “working on a car and couldn’t give me an estimate.” Took my car to a place that made time to give me an estimate even if they couldn’t get my car in the same day.
