I know there are lot of bad ratings about this place, but I actually had a very good experience with retrieving my car. The phone was always answered, they were open late, they helped explain all the BMW alerts I got, and attendant was professional and friendly. That being said, I fully blame my apartments (Van Alen) where I am a two year tenant for towing my car, but that’s another story.
Very horrible service I have items stolen out of my car and had my car damaged by them only one person has had enough common sense to hold a good conversation and make things bearable
Wrongfully towed my car from my apartment complex where I pay for parking. Then proceeds to argue with me about the parking decal that the apartment complex gave me. Cost me 285 to get my car back.
As a current business owner this business is not ran professionally and with the outstanding number of reviews and complaints something has to be seriously done if customers/residents and more are complaining about illegal tows. My spouse car was towed from our community complex due to new management negligence of updating license plate information on file also placing correct notarized documents on file as well. The landlord called spoke with them explaining this as well and they refused to bring car back nor reimburse us, during a time like this were everyone is struggling and trying to find work it’s not fair to take into consideration of other’s
Poor excuse for doing a service to the community! Towing peoples cars illegitimately to earn money! Unlimited Recovery is trashy and a janky establishment! I wont dare recommend the services of Unlimited Recovery to anyone! Dont need to explain my story besides my car was towed for no reason while visiting a friend for a short moment after I gotten of work. You guys are sorry individuals for what you do for a living and thats why no good deed will full upon you!
Extremely rude on the phone and customer service. I had a visitors pass that expired by one day. It expired on a Sunday (when the main office isnt even open). They towed the car at 1AM before I was even able to try and get a new pass in the morning. I was also told told by the main office I had until early Feb to get a new parking sticker on my car for the month. I was moving at the end of feb and was told my car would not be towed. They towed the car anyway. Extremely poor towing service and would not recommend them to anybody, for any reason whatsoever.
Horrible service...charged $50 extra for arriving at 5:01...impolite, unhelpful, rude
The worst company I have ever met. I tried to contact them to stop the process of towing of my car and they just suddenly put me waiting in the middle of the discussion, putting me waiting for 20 minutes... I guess they just gone. If they still come to take my car, I will definitely sue them.
This company is very unprofessional and towed my mother vehicle illegally. The man is very rude over the phone constantly hangs up and will tow your vehicle FROM YOUR OWN HOME. Even my neighbors don’t have a “parking pass” but our car was towed out of like 14 . SHUT THEM DOWN IMMEDIATELY PLZ OFFICERS!
They are terrible i parked my car to take groceries in no more that 15 minutes, put groceries in fridgerator, use bathroom came back out and car was gone, on the evening around 9pm, these tow truck companies need regulated
If I could give 0 stars I would. They are the absolute worst and they will mess up/ scratch your car and transmission. 4 words MONEY HUNGRY CAR THIEVES! Beware they are horrible all the way around!
Horrible customer service. They were late to meet us to get our car and didnt even apologize. We tried to let them know that there employee was in the wrong for what they did, they should have never of towed my car in the first place, and they did nothing to fix the situation. They steal your car when they are not supposed to along with your time and money.
My vehicle was towed from the Colonial Grand Apartments on stone lion drive Durham NC, August 26, 2019. I drove from Virginia to visit a resident there to celebrate a birthday. All of the visitor parking spots were full, majority were full with vehicles displaying North Carolina plates. The person I was visiting told me that she asked the management about the parking and was told that it is alright for her guest to park in the spaces up the hill next to the car wash if all of the visitor spots are full. On August 26, 2019 I came out to go home only to find that my vehicle was not where I left it. We went to the apartment office only to learn that my vehicle was towed. The resident of the apartment where I was visiting reminded them that they had told her it was ok to park there. The lady at the front desk said that they changed that a month ago and sent out emails to that effect. The resident then contacted management who when they checked said there was no record of them sending her an email. I then proceeded to Unlimited Recovery to get my vehicle. When I got there I had to give the lady my drivers license to get my vehicle. After paying $150.00 I was let into the gate to retrieve my vehicle and was glad to leave North Carolina. Upon returning home on Monday August 26, 2019 I stopped at a gas station and had to use my ID only to realize that did not have it. Unlimited Recovery had not given me back my drivers license. I called Unlimited Recovery to let them know they failed to give me back my drivers license only to be hung up on three times. Upon calling back a fourth time finally speaking to someone who would at least listen, I was told that I could come back and get them. I explained that I was already in Virginia before I realized that I did not have them and to drive knowing that I did not have them was risky. So I ask them if they could mail them to me. I was told that they would mail me my drivers license. On Friday August 30, 2019 5 days later I still had no drivers license. I decide to call Unlimited Recovery to confirm that they mailed my license. I was again treated very rudely on the phone, hung up on having to call back and ask for a manager which I did not get until I threaten to get an attorney and explained to them that I had spoken with the police who said I could get in trouble if I drove without my license on me. The lady who came to the phone was apologetic and told me that she would make sure I get my license and told me that if I do not get them by Monday September 2, 2019 to call back. After the phone call ended it dawned on me that this is a holiday weekend and that Monday is Labor Day, which means the mail will not run. I called Unlimited Recovery back only to experience the rudeness again. I am waiting on a return call from a civil attorney because I do not believe it is legal for them to keep my license and not send them to me seeing it is due to their negligence for not returning my property. I tried to contact the Durham police department but no success. Apparently they dont care that business are ripping people off in the public, they only want to come out when there is gunfire so they can shoot somebody!
THEY ARE TOWING CARS IN THE MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC THE BBB WILL BE NOTIFIED IMMEDIATELY!!!
This company is very unprofessional and towed a state owned vehicle illegally. The staff is very rude and will tow your vehicle even if they know they aren’t suppose to.
I was parked on the side of Harvest St near Unlimited Recoverys yard doing my 10 hours DOT break, as I was waiting to unload at a customer the next morning . A wrecker driver for Unlimited Recovery continuously drove by through out the night honking his horn to wake me up. Harvest St is a dead end road with several business located on both sides of the road. There were multiple vehicles parked along the roadside. The driver would only blow his horn as he passed my truck. On one occasion the driver passed by close enough and at a high enough rate of speed to rock my 18 wheeler. This situation began around midnight and continued until 4:30am.
My car was illegally towed by this company. They were not authorized to tow from private property (duke campus). Police confirmed they werent authorized to tow at the location, but theres little they can do apparently.Cost is $200 first day plus $50 per weekend and $35 for week day, which is absurd.Exceptionally rude on the phone. There wasnt even anyone there when I showed up to get my car and I had to wait half an hour until one of the trucks happened to stop back at the gate. This was at 11:55 p.m., 5 minutes before i would have to pay another day. Person meant to be at the desk showed up at 12:01 a.m... Seemed they had hoped to get another days payment out of me.God bless anyone who is towed by this company. Should be shut down immediately
What these people do is modern day robbery. Fee after fee after fee. And then you have to Schedule a time to come get your vehicle.
Rude lady who works register and horrible drivers. I witnessed the tow truck drop a red Camry off of the back. The car completely fell off while he was driving and he scratched the back of the car, and I know they didn’t say anything to the owner. True spawns of the devil.
Only a 1 because I cant put a zero on this ratchet damn place. They take a picture of your card and send it off site to run it. How is that legal
They took my car even with an unexpired clearly visible parking pass. This whole towing industry is garbage
Man breath smell like pure alcohol and they towed my car from a visitor parking
My neighborhood uses this company to tow cars without visitors pass... on April 26 I was having issues I been in bed rest not able to work because I went into labor too early with my son.. so I have midwife and doulas on call when my contractions are back to back! On that night it was! So my lights on porch lights door open to my place because I knew she was coming to take me with her.. so she parked in the street I told her to go ahead (safety reasons) to park in a visitors spot so she would block.. the tow truck road passed us. He went to the other side of the neighborhood. We went in the house to grab my hospital bag. By the time o could make it out with my contractions he was getting back in his truck with my doulas car! ( very embarrassing) I was scared at that moment bc I’m in active labor. So I called the towing company before they could get out the neighborhood.. the older guy that was working that night told me I will need to call a ambulance! I was so upset at that point! I calmed down by saying I’m going to let the complex handle this so I sent the girls in my car with my card and paid for the tow! It was only in the lot for 20 mins so that tells you a lot (chapel- hill to Durham) . Then my complex seem very upset about how things happen and basically it was my word against theirs so nothing was done! So with that being said beware of this company it’s very unprofessional. No tell what kind of people are working with them. I wouldn’t trust it and beware in Pinegate in Chapel Hill!!! But end of the day few days later I gave birth to my baby boy without the stress of unprofessional companies such as!
They should be ashamed of making a living out of this.
Towed my rental car from my apartment for no reason at all
If I could give a place 0 stars it would be this place. Towed my car from my complex. The sticker fell on the seat but they could have seen that. Told me to pick up the car at 8 if I wanted to pay less. The attendant rolls up at 8:10 and just saunters in. Horrible customer service and worse attitude.
Haha ur drivers r dumb
Place looks super sketchy.
If it was possible to give them negative stars, I would.
Unprofessional
Terrible customer service
