The location was perfectly suited to experience downtown Durham and a convenient drive to explore the Duke campus. The room was quiet and the bed and pillows were comfortable. Another review mentioned the train noise, I did hear it one out of the nights in our three night stay, but it was not the event portrayed previously. The highlight of our stay was an extremely helpful young man at the welcome desk named Jonathon. He went out of his way to help us find late night dessert and other amazing spots like Pressed and M Sushi! He was a very conscientious employee and was readily available at check in, providing parking garage tidbits and additional thoughtful insight all three nights of our stay. The breakfasts were delicious and prepared to order - Gluten Free! The in house bar was very inviting and we left for our Wyoming home ready to come back for another visit!
If youre going to a Durham Bulls baseball game, this location cannot be beat because its literally about 100 yards to the left field gate. As a matter of fact, the Norfolk Tides baseball team was staying there. Parking is convenient and only $10/night, plus there are a ton of restaurants in walking distance. Staff was friendly and efficient, and the room was very clean. Only reason for a 4 star rating is that the hallways are dark and painted in dark colors so it kinda kills the ambiance of the day.
Very good location in downtown Durham. Walking distance to multiple shops and restaurants. The rooms were clean and the staff helpful. The parking next door is convenient and also cheap compared to other cities I have been to. I would stay here in my next visit.
Positive: Location was good. Negative: Because of Covid, they do not have daily cleaning. We had to wait over two hours to get them to send up some fresh towels and other items.
We had a wonderful time here for our 25th wedding anniversary! We were greeted at the front desk by the most pleasant and caring young man named Jonathan! Not only did he go out of his way to do everything he could to make us comfortable, but he even went above and beyond and took out a map and circled local establishments within walking distance where we could go for our Anniversary dinner. When we got back to the hotel after dinner he further asked if there was anything more he could do for us and just knowing that he was offering such good service will make us go back again. We spent the evening at the pool on the 2nd floor overlooking the city of Durham. It was awesome! The modern room was very clean/neat and the bed was super comfortable. The bathroom spacious with a big shower. We asked for a late checkout and we again were given that opportunity.I highly recommend Aloft for anyone wanting to be in the downtown area and in a super accommodating hotel.
Wonderful warm experience from arrival to departure! We were checked in by Chelsea who as it turned out is the director of sales. Anyone hosting an event? Wed highly recommend this Aloft for Chelseas bubbly personality and knowledge of the area. The room was spacious and immaculate. Amenities are lovely. Great travel value, in fact we spent another night there on the way back home and are already planning a multinight stay later this month!
We stayed here over the weekend with some friends. The hotel is in walking distance to downtown Durham with all his restaurants, bars and coffee shops. This time we brought our dog. He is a Rhodesian Ridgeback and about 95 lbs heavy. So he is a large dog, and some hotels dont accept large dogs. Lucky Aloft changed his pet policy, and now allows large dogs. The second floor is the pet floor. So, if you come with a pet, you cant stay on any other floor. The staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay. Right in front of the hotel is a large green area, where you can hang out with your furry friend on a sunny day.Overall, if you travel with your dog, the Aloft is definitely a hotel I would recommend.
Positive: Hotel was new, super clean and comfy. Fantastic!
Loved the bbn peace and quiet I get here as a Motorcoach Bus Driver. I need the peace and quiet so I can rest well before driving. The get 5 stars from me because every time I come here I can really relax and rest well... nothing like a good nights sleep before driving all day for a Motorcoach Driver.👌🏽
Every part of our stay was good. We brought our dog with us, so I didnt know what to expect. He did great and he loved the outdoor space.
Love this place. Clean great clean hotel room. Staff is awesome. Great location. Has a nice view at the pool also😎
I stayed here on a Saturday night because I was in town for my daughter’s college graduation. The young lady that checked me in was very pleasant and accommodating, however, my room was what is I would call unsanitary especially in the mist of a pandemic. I had a late checkout which I was told would be okay and without a charge by the person that checked me in, but as I was leaving let the man at the front desk know that there were bodily fluids that appeared to be blood on the floor and some dried sprinkled spots on the ceiling that look like it could be blood. He assured me that it was condensation because of the high ceilings, so instead of apologizing for the inconvenience he turned around and charged my credit card an additional $100 without telling me or sending me a receipt for the $140 original charge for the night. What happened to transparency and staff being happy to know there’s a problem so that the next guest won’t have to see the same mess, especially since we are encouraged to be cleaner than normal during the pandemic. I love Marriott brand, but this was a first for me. My first time at an Aloft and the first time not getting great service. The guy was too cocky for his own good. Unfortunately, I came in late and didn’t see the mess on the floor or ceiling until right before I checked out. Can I get an explanation for the extra charge and a receipt? Or better yet, can I gave my money back? When I was assured there wouldn’t be a charge for checking out a 2 hours late?
Typical Aloft setup which means to say very good. Near the heart of Durham you can walk to most places
Great customer service and cool vibe. The front desk guy Johnathan was super kind and friendly. So nice! Recommend for great hotel in Durham. Thank you. Will come again and stay! Thanks for good experience. 5 star review!
Nice environment, great location, and rooms are premium. Loved rooftop pool.
Nice quiet hotel. Great Steak place (NanaSteak) right on the corner.
It was great, the long hair hippy-looking guy was a little strange but otherwise helpful. the location is right by everything fun in downtown Durham. the housepeople are great
Location was convenient and felt very safe in this space! Ronnie and Quita took great care of us and went out of their way to provide a safe and fun environment. I dont normally write reviews on hotels, but they deserve this shout out for being awesome!
Exceeded expectation..clean,comfortable rooms tastefully done...GM Martin & staffmade our stay pleasurable.
Friendly front desk staff especially Jonathan he was really helpful and knowledgeable about the area, easy check-in, and a great location. Will definitely come again.
Great place, good ammenities and great front desk staff. my only complaint is that the towels are so thick there, I could barely close my suitcase!
I cant express how much I enjoyed this hotel. Great location and very stylish. The staff was very friendly and my room was nice and clean.
Easy check-in, felt COVID safe, super friendly staff, very clean and pet friendly! We will definitely be planning all our future road trips around Aloft hotels since they are the best pet friendly hotels around!
First time staying at an Aloft hotel and we were very pleased. The staff was very accommodating and kind. Room had a great view and was very spacious. Staff recognized me as an rewards member and made sure we enjoyed our stay. Very nice bartender and kitchen staff. Overall a great experience. Keep up the great work.
Nice Bar area. Love the bartender attention to detail.
Beautiful place in the heart of EVERYTHING!!!! I will stay here again when im town.
It wasnt great and it wasnt bad and it actually wasnt cheap. Served the purpose of being in town for a day. This is an older hotel so the rooms are a bit shabby, dark, the carpet needs replacing and the otterman was literally falling apart...rips and tears. I asked the clerk what my parking options were and his response I dont know because I ride my bike here
Hotel is really nice and clean. However....its not the best hotel if you are a light sleeper. Loud and I mean LOUD trains come through at 1am, 5am, and 9am. It actually seems like the other is setting right on the tracks. Other than a sleepless night the hotel was great.
Our daughter and son in law gave us tickets to see Franki Valli at the DPAC, it was great!! and the fact that our Hotel room was right next door made it even better! We are not big travelers but the hotel room was very nice and clean and the staff was very nice and helpful! Although a little pricey for us.
Positive: Clean Friendly Staff
Hands down the best hotel stay Ive ever had. Front desk staff was incredibly friendly and helpful at all hours of the day. Bartender gave great recommendations for nightlife around Raleigh/ Durham. Clean room. Quiet. In walking distance to bars, breweries, cider, and restaurants.
Very trendy place. Bathroom is fresh. However, if youre sharing the space with anyone, be aware of how much youll be sharing. No fan or means of drowning out your most personal sounds or releases. The TV is a bit dated and had no means for linking to it. Asked for an extra set of towels and left a decent tip for housekeeping. Unfortunately, returned to the room only to find NO towels in my room. But they took the tip. This place has so much potential. They just need to step up their game a bit.
This hotel is well-appointed if youre looking for a spot to stay in downtown Durham. The only thing thats not great is the train - wow is that loud! - but thats just part of life in Durham. The garage for parking isnt great but its only $10 per night and thats pretty darn cheap for hotel parking in an urban center. Super-nice staff and rooms that were incredibly clean and comfy. Ill gladly go back.
This hotel is perfectly located next to DPAC making it an excellent choice for an evening out. Check into the hotel, enjoy a nice dinner next door ( make reservations well in advance ) or a short walk to other downtown options and enjoy the show. Upon departing the theater you are a few steps from your hotel, a nice nightcap and then a good nights rest. Makes for a special evening
The hotel and rooms were immaculate. My room was spacious and overlooked Tobacco Road, which was cool. Glad there was a coffee machine in the room so I could have coffee while I got ready in the morning. The only thing about this location was that it is right beside the railroad- I only heard a train passing 1x in the evening during my 1 night stay so don’t let that deter you from staying there!.
This place is super close to everything downtown and was just what we needed in a pinch. The room was amazing and very clean and modern. Parking was easy! We walked to a nearby pizza place and enjoyed our stay very much! Will be staying here again of ever we are back in Durham!
I booked this hotel last minute and got a great deal! I wasn’t expecting to have so much space for what the I paid! The room was big, the bathroom and shower were clean, and the location was so convenient. We walked to a some local bars and restaurants in just a few minutes!
The customer service is incredible! The accommodations are poor. I stay at alofts often bc i know what Im getting. I expect a modern, clean, slightly upscale look at an affordable price. My room had an odor so bad i almost checked out. They shohld me other rooms that smelled as well. They admitted that the windows are so cheap that when it rains, it lets in an odor to the room. They moved me to a room with less windows for less of an odor. The hotel is only a few years old but it is very worn out. Everything is made of cheap material, cracks in ceilings and walls, wall paper is peeling. The place, looks, smells and feels cheap but you wouldnt know it from the look of the lobby. A train also also comes through at 7 am and sounds the horn so often you cant ignore it.
I really enjoyed the stay. A little taken back by the narrow picture-less dark hallways lined in black wall paper, the rest of the hotel was clean and comfortable. Bed was super cozy and the ac worked great. Mini fridge and amenities were all top notch. Shower was clean sleek and had a high pressure spray.
When I went to check in, the Latina girl made me feel like an important guest and she was helpful and kindly nice. But when I went to fix a little problem that I had, the Latina girl was gone and another guy was attending me and he didn’t do a good job. He treated me 0 important and I don’t like that kind is service.
Amazing hotel room, but WOW, the bar/food service was terrible. Bar employees were touching the rubber floor mat (moving it) then did not wash their hands then served drinks. Also, why would the employee place the bottle opener down the back of his pants. Management, step in! Great hotel, but horrible work at the dining bar area.
Aloft Durham is the perfect location for DPAC and Tobacco Road. The room was spacious with a great view. We enjoyed the deck feel of the splash pool in February! The staff was always friendly and every area was clean and stylish.
Excellent customer service for booking and then cancelling a wedding room block. They made everything easy and painless.
This was the first time I stayed in Durham and the Aloft did not disappoint. Caesar Swift has done a masterful job making the place a hot spot for lively and entertaining crowds. The decor is top shelf, timely and a true testament to the culture and vibe of the performing arts center located a stones throw away. The rooms are cleverly designed, clean and welcoming. I really enjoyed my stay at this location and will recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in the Durham area. This will not be the last time I stay at this location and am grateful for the excellent staff and service I received during my visit.
This was the PERFECT place to stay to attend a performance at DPAC. Everything was in Easy walking distance. The staff was very friendly, providing walking directions to the restaurant we had chosen for dinner. They were also Incredibly helpful when my car battery died. The room had a beautiful view. It was very spacious. The beds were incredibly comfortable. There was some train noise that didnt bother us at all-- but could be an issue for some. OVERALL, this was an incredible experience. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in town.
Nice room, great location... Tobacco Road sports bar across the street is pretty good and very convenient. Also.... if the Bulls are in town, the stadium is also right next door. Easy walk for a ball game, hot dog, and cold beer... do it- you will have fun
This hotel was a very nice stay. Nothing to complain about it. Room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff gave us the very best customer service. The cook was great 7am-11am. This place was a very very nice place to stay at. Thank you.
Love this place, but it’s been getting pricey lately. Great location, right next to the Durham Bulls stadium and a short walk to restaurants. Nice staff and on premise parking (for a fee).
The hotel is modern, clean, has great amenities, is in a prime location downtown and walkable to everything. Next to the Durham Bulls stadium, and across from the historic Lucky Strike block of buildings turned gorgeous shops and offices, made for many beautiful walks. Even though the meeting rooms were great, my room was fantastic and the area is beautiful; the guest services desk employees made this hotel stand out above the rest. They took care of our business group with extreme professionalism and were extremely friendly and helpful. I was beyond impressed with them.
I stayed at the Aloft for my daughters best friends wedding. You would think a nice hotel would have a microwave in the room, no not this one. I was not fond of the walk to the parking deck, which you shared with other businesses beside the hotel. It was raining one day, I had my 1 year old granddaughter with us and we had to run to the parking deck since there was no cover to walk under. Other than that, the room was very clean, quiet and the bed was very comfortable. There are a couple of restaurants near the hotel also.
Negative: Parking supposed to be free but hotel charges $10.
I loved this hotel. Our room looked out over the baseball field and apartments in the old tobacco warehouses. They were unique and modernized and the food places had great foods.
I have been a regular guest at this property for the past 19 moths for business. the staff has made this feel like my home away from home. It is convenient to the ball park, Tobacco Road, The American Tobacco office buildings, a short walk to the main street which has many restaurants and a $6 Uber to Duke.Hurry and make a reservation!
Modern hotel right in the heart of the Durham Bulls stadium.Billy checked us in and hes a doll!! Parking is $10/day. WiFi is complimentary if you are a BonVi member. Basic hotel room that doesnt have a closet. Small bathroom too. Its a great location though so overall 3.5 stars.
Very nice location for a family wedding gathering, facilities, rooms, and staff. Night time lighting in the room and the bathroom was a little tricky to set up, but minor inconvenience. Fitness center was very nice and pool looked good, but did not use due to all of the other commitments going on. Desk and Cleaning Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very close to the Durham Bulls stadium, Durham Performing Art Center, and some very nice walking areas with water across the street, including headquarters for Burt Bees which I did not know about but my wife did. Just a few minutes from some very good BBQ places including the The Pit. Younger and casual, but welcoming to all. The only negative is the proximity to an active rail road line, which though at some distance, you can still be awakened in the middle of the night with the horn blowing as the passenger trains cross nearby intersections. Will say though that other than the first night, really was not bothered after that. Bring ear plugs if you are easily disturbed at night. From guests at another nearby big brand hotel on the other side of the tracks, literally, you can also hear the train, so it is just something you deal with if you stay in this area. Wedding went well, our visit was great and would recommend this hotel, particularly if you want stay at a more trendy hotel.
Marriott has a winner in this design. No stuffiness just modern comfort. There is everything needed for a great stay-nice modern quiet room. A relaxed but professional staff experience...from the reception staff to the lounge & food staff. It is next door to DPAK but within walking distance of restaurants & hip downtown Durham! We will be returning....actually in a few weeks!

The Aloft Hotel in downtown Durham is done for a short stay if you don’t mind a lot of noise and fireworks after 9:30 from the neighboring stadium, not to mention train noise from the tracks nearby. It’s convenient to both and the Tobacco Row complex. It’s decor is modern and it’s color scheme hideous, but the service is fine, the rooms large and comfortable.
The staff is excellent. The hotel and room is very clean. The WiFi is great. The sheets are scratchy. The Blankets are of poor quality. The shower head does not have enough pressure. The hotel is pretty.
Just a great hotel. Great location too..we saw a concert at DPAC and was very nice and right next door. Nice restaurants within walking distance too!
I have been staying here regularly for business for the past 14 months. It is ideally located and the hotel is in great shape. There is s steak house 50 yards to the right and the best sports bar in the area 100 yards to the right. The staff is so helpful and friendly. My only wish is that they had a better selection for hot breakfast. Ill never stay anywhere else in Durham.

This Aloft Hotel is in downtown Durham right next to the Baseball stadium that houses the Durham Bulls. Just like the Kevin Costner movie. Clean facilities with a wheelchair accessible entrance. Theres a parking lot next door, which is complimentary for hotel guests only. Right next to Tobacco Road which has several nice restaurants. Nice rooms. Theres a bar/lounge. More on the expensive side so bring your credit card. No complimentary Breakfast. A place more for the younger crowd.
The pillows and bed were awesome. The decor was modern throughout the building. The windows were strange, the blackout curtain worked perfectly, but there wasnt a sheer drape. In the second floor with a busy walking area outside this was missed.
A hidden gem! Great property in a great location. Needed a meeting room for a small group of 8. The meeting room was up on the 6th floor a perfect for our needs. The sleeping rooms are large and very comfortable. Most important the staff was outstanding!! From Kay the events manager I worked with to book to the front desk team members. What a great group of people.
The Aloft is a modern hotel right next to the DPAC performing arts center and within walking distance to the Tobacco District. Rooms and functional and clean and the staff is very friendly. The concept of a small cooked breakfast in a cup as the Huevos Rancheros is a nice treat in the morning
The staff at this hotel were super nice. Danilo, who checked me in asked my preferences to make sure he gave me a room that I would be happy with. I had made a clumsy mistake on my booking which he also helped me sort out no issues at all. Above that, he took time out of his dinner break to recommend me a great place for dinner. My interactions with all the other staff were also all super friendly. This is a place with really nice people.
This location is absolutely perfect if you are attending a performance at the Durham Performing Arts Center (DPAC); its attached to the center. The price for the room was reasonable despite the Thanksgiving weekend and a very, very popular Broadway play next door. The beds were comfortable, room quiet and the room darkening window shades did not let any light in. Everyone was friendly and helpful; the parking garage attendant, the bartender and the front desk personnel. There are several restaurants within walking distance. The Durham Bulls baseball park is across the street, which is another reason to stay at this hotel. The only flaw for me was bed pillows were too soft, but the bed was comfortable.
We stayed here since we were attending a show at the DPAC. It was very convenient as the theatre is right next door. The hotel is nice and our room was large, quiet and comfortable. The lounge is a nice spot to have a cocktail before or after the show. Although I must warn you that the bar and staff can get overwhelmed and the lobby/lounge area is not that large and fills up quickly. The pool area is small and they should have just made it a large hot tub area instead. It really is not somewhere you would want to hang out and is too small for lap swims. It is a nice hotel but does have some limitations. Perfect for a one night stay but wouldnt recommend for a longer stay.
Alofts location is exceptional for anyone attending an event at DPAC. Just a nice leisurely walk to the theater and you are there. I counted 100 steps from lobby to lobby (and I have short legs). Bar area is nice to watch the big game. Easy access to parking for your overnight stay.
Stayed here for a few days. Great staff and rooms very roomy and clean. Close proximity to restaurant and other things to do. The bartender in the lobby was awesome. She was great very attentive. The outdoor pool is tiny but nice looking and it overlooks the city.
I stay in this hotel every two months. The location is central to great restaurants and attractions with proximity to Duke medical campus. The staff is excellent. They always go above and beyond to make sure our experience is great. Amazing location next door to DPAC, which draws VERY good arts events and concerts. Love this place!
Convenient to everything. Clean and nicely done! Our room was next to the pool and the pumps kept us up at night and the AC was so strong we couldnt get comfortable cold-hot wise. Still, a very nice place and we would come back. Just not to that particular room. :)
Very friendly and helpful service. We were on a 4 day road trip for work and arrived quite late at the hotel. The front desk was so welcoming and had everything ready for our meeting the next morning. The rooms are large and clean.
The best thing about this hotel is the location. If you are going to DPAC you truly cannot be any closer. It is also surrounded by several restaurants that are in walking distance. Unfortunately though the hotel isnt worth the price. The rooms are fairly small and average, there was no complimentary breakfast, and it just didnt meet the price. I might go back because of the convenience of DPAC but if thats not a priority try another hotel.
Modern, trendy location in downtown Durham. Walking distance to food restaurants or the stadium if you are around for a game. Friendly staff, you can decline room cleaning and receive a 5 dollar voucher for breakfast or the bar. Nice bar area located in the lobby as a hang out location as well as a close to a meeting day
We had the most excellent experience!! When I booked this venue for my daughters 16th Birthday party, I talked with Kay Hess, she was so pleasant to work with. We arrived at the hotel and checked in with Alex, he had the biggest smile on his face when we walked in and was very helpful with any questions we had. The hotel room was clean and neat, the pool was perfect for us and the other staff we ran into was extremely nice. We checked out the next morning with Alex and he said several times, how he appreciated our business and hoped to see us soon. Overall, my daughter and all of her friends had a wonderful time and they are already planning the next party with The Aloft Hotel in Downtown Durham.
Top notch management and staff! Thank you Wes, Quincy, Jake (& even Maurice) for the warm hospitality and unparalleled guest experience. We will definitely be staying here every time we attend an event at DPAC.
My family and I had a great time this weekend. Your staff members were SO courteous, spontaneous and fun. The bartenders, Ronnie and Mike, made us laugh, offered and mixed great drinks and engaged us in great conversations. Your housekeeping staff members were also very corteous and responsive to our needs. I am very impressed with the level of service we received. Best Regards!
I stayed at this Aloft because of its proximity to the DPAC and the Durham Bulls Stadium, as well as it being close to wonderful shopping and dining in the heart of downtown Durham. My room was magnificent; clean, accommodating, roomy and great view! The staff were kind and complimentary. The food was just fine. Loved the lounge and the bartender too. Nice place, good location. All the way around a winner!
I stayed in the deluxe king bedroom style. Third floor room 309. Id recommend this room as you get a good view. Also, front desk was nice and the room itself was spacious and had high ceilings. The parking situation was annoying but manageable.
Neat place, cool decorations. Front desk employees were nice and helpful. Good pour of bourbon bat the bar. Room smelled a bit like a hospital though. Not overwhelming, just unexpected. Would stay there again. Overnight parking in the garage is $10.
Kids and I were very pleased with our stay. Great view of the base ball field and factorys on tobacco row. Friendly staff. When checking in, kids were greeted with a free bag of goodies for the snack bar. great view from the 2nd floor outdoor/indoor pool. We stayed on the top floor and it was really quiet.
From the front desk staff at check in, to the large room we had all the way to the very clean room. The shower pressure was great. The bathroom and rest of the room felt very clean. Sometimes you can just tell when you walk in the door. We will stay again!!! We were in town for a dance competition and it was so nice to be able to walk back and forth to the room!!!
I really wanted to like this hotel. We are Marriott Platinum and my husband loves the aloft brand. He checked in a few hours before me, and they deleted my name off the reservation (I made it under my name). They have these odd vouchers that expire daily for status holders, but they say $10 instead of 20, so we kept getting charged. Not only can you hear everything in the hallways, you can hear EVERYTHING at the Durham Bulls stadium, especially concerts. My room is marked as feather free due to allergies, but wasnt even though I arrived at midnight. The AC is a cheap window type unit, despite being a nice hotel. The pool is not cleaned and full of floating hair The staff is constantly confused; they couldnt give my husband directions to their own parking garage. Im just not impressed. This place may be a *bit* cheaper than the downtown Marriott, but I suggest the other Marriott brands if you are going to stay downtown Durham. $230 a night is outrageous for this low level of service and satisfaction.EDIT: Last night I asked the main front desk employee if the hotel sold Tylenol, Tums, or bandaids (if they had a small convenience area). He kept saying Cum? Cums? You want cum? over and over!!!! What the ever living @#$&! After three times saying this, he just turned around and walked away from me.
Nice modern hotel connected to American Tobacco. Great rooms and location with plenty of food options within walking distance.
My daughter and I were on a college tour trip and stayed at the Aloft in Durham for just one night. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the hotel was very quiet. We slept great! The a/c was perfect and the room was very dark once the lights were off. We couldn’t have asked for a better nights sleep than we had!
We decided to stay here in order to avoid a late night drive home after the show at DPAC - which is a minute walk from hotel. We will be back. Loved the hotel. I loved the clean modern look of the lobby and rooms. Our room overlooked the green area that is currently displaying Durham Christmas Trees and a Christmas Tree Lot. Staff was attentive and room was clean. FYI: apparently there is a railroad line somewhere nearby. I could hear the train whistle in the middle of the night. I personally like trains and I’m a good sleeper but I know some folks wouldn’t care for it.
Nice hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location for DPAC and Bulls. Nice bar. Rooms very minimalistic and modern. No towel bars in sink area is rather inconvenient. Thermostat is difficult to get to a comfortable temp....either really hot or really cold....wierd. But the worst part is the fact that it is next to railroad tracks....and 3 trains blowing whistles went by between midnight and 5AM.....not a good nights sleep. Really a shame for such a nice hotel.
The beautiful, new, elegant, Aloft Hotel in Downtown Durham is a masterpiece of design and the hospitality service industry. Located next to Reynolds American shopping and the new Durham Bulls Stadium the location really is the finest in the city. I cant say enough good things about the staff of the property, the staff of any hotel is the element that makes the difference between a good property and a great property.
I enjoyed staying here each Christmas holiday while performing at DPAC. The location of the hotel being next door to theater is Awesome. Great place, wish the parking was free for the cast members of the show. Other then that a perfect place to enjoy our downtime from being on stage.
Always enjoy staying at the Aloft. Its like bachelors pad vibe.
Very nice hotel but pretty much a carbon copy of every other aloft. its in a fantastic area with a ton of food options nearby. Staff is very friendly and rooms are very clean and modern.
8 of us stayed at the Aloft in August and it was the best experience I have ever had. The general manager Caesar emailed me a few time making sure everything was set up correctly before the vacation and I was also able to meet him. The staff was so helpful and did everything possible to get the 2 rooms together and they did. Every employee we talked to was so friendly and helpful The beds were to die for, we all slept so well. Cannot say enough good things about the hotel and staff. A+ in my book!
Aloft is a new property to me. Attached to the Durham Performing Arts Center and a 5 minute walk to the Durham Bulls Baseball Field, it is a great location for several different interests. Includes a fitness center, a small pool, and a great bar and lounge, WXYZ. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.
We arrived late due to a bad flight, very late. The staff couldnt have been more accommodating and helpful to adjusting our nights, making sure we were comfortable, and that that we had a great short stay reconnecting with family. Also, the room was super comfortable, great bed, and nice bath products. I highly recommend this hotel.
We loved this hotel! Stylish, great location,Comfortable and affordable. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Beautiful property that I really wanted to like. Unfortunately, the room had a strong smell.
