Mike and Melanie are awesome and easy to deal with. Took two weed eaters, a Homelite that needed tuning and an Echo that wasnt running at all. Mike told me upfront that if he had to order parts, it could be a couple weeks, and thats exactly what happened. Both now run like scalded dogs and price was extremely fair. When I called with questions, I got fast, honest answers. I would definitely recommend!

Mike repaired my generator. Its a heavy piece of equipment and difficult to move. For no extra charge, Mike and Melanie picked it up, repaired it, and returned it. It now purrs like a kitten. I would recommend Mike and Melanie for any small engine repairs.

After several attempts to repair my lawn tractor, it still had the original issue and was basically unusable. I tried another repair service who couldnt fix the problem either. What I really didnt like about Mikes service was that in addition to cleaning the carburetor, he replaced parts such as blades and filters without my authorization, which ran the bill to over $300. Now I have a tractor that still doesnt work, but hey, the blades and filters are new. If you use this guy, make sure he agrees not to do any work other than what you originally asked for.

Took my John Deere 125 lawn tractor that had been sitting for a year for a carb repair/replacement. Got it done for a fair price in a timely fashion. Straight shooter on what needed to be done to get it running right. Runs like a champ now.

Mike was recommended to me by an neighbor who had a wonderful experience and I gave them a call! My 3 year old Husqvarna would not start and whileI suspected a clogged carburetor, I’m no expert! Their customer service was excellent, Melanie helped me find the shop and they took it from there. Gave me a quote and a quick turnaround time. They honored their timeline and I got a FULL TUNE UP, carburetor cleaned, gas lines drained and cleaned, new air filter, blades sharpened and new spark plugs for an unbeatable price! I had a 20-year-old Stihl chainsaw that had been borrowed and abused and I thought it was beyond fixing. I took it to Mikes Mower Repair and he got it running perfectly and charged much less than a Stihl dealership. Same with my Bush Hog commercial mower - MUCH less expensive than that & Sons outfit and Mike doesnt charge hundreds of dollars to pickup and deliver. Mike seems to be able to fix anything - mowers, tractors, pressure washers, ATVs, chainsaws, whatever. He and Melanie go out of their way to treat customers fairly and provide excellent work for a price thats very fair. I highly recommend them!

We have a new John Deere riding mower that started making a terrible noise two months after we got it. My wife called Mike and described the noise, and he told her stop immediately, that could be dangerous, well come get it. A week later we had a new spindle for a reasonable price. We might have been able to get it replaced under warranty, but it was worth the money to find a local, friendly, responsible businessman who we can actually trust with our repair and maintenance needs. Five stars.

Excellent, friendly service. Knows his engines and deck systems. Mike repaired the hung-up blade engagement on my 16-year-old Craftsman 42 lawn tractor/mower, and returned the non-starting engine to operational status at a very reasonable price, and he gave me some tips on keeping the old machine going for a few more years. He was very busy but I wasnt in a big hurry, and he got it back to me in a very reasonable turn-around time considering it was high season. Highly recommended.

I would recommend Mikes small engine repair if you have a need for engine repair. I brought two lawn mowers and a tiller over to him and his prices were fair. He was very responsive both through text and calls b the turn around was quick. I received my mowers and tiller within 1-2 days after dropping them off. Now all of the machines run like new. He even changed the oil and fueled them for me. He prides himself on his workmanship and is knowledgeable. He also told me if I had any issues to bring them back and he would fix them. Great service.

So grateful for Mikes work. He came in behind Sears who are the absolute worse. Not only did sears not repair, their mechanic damaged my craftsman lawnmower. I have a real nice Briggs and Stratton mower that is practically brand new but has been sitting in storage unused for the past 5 years with gas in the tank. Bad idea! Needless to say, the thing would not start. Thats where Mike came in. I was actually looking up buying a brand new mower when the thought came to mind to look up someone to repair this one. I chose Mike based on his many great Google reviews. He did not disappoint. Mike picked my mower up from my house shortly after I gave him a call, and delivered it several days later running like it was brand new. My old, Craftsman riding lawn tractor wouldnt start. After trying all the basic DIY solutions myself, nothing seemed to work. I found Mike online and called him for help. As I explained my mowers symptoms to him over the phone he knew almost immediately what the problem was. He came out the next day to my house and confirmed what he already suspected — a simple fix, common on my model. He loaded it up on his trailer and took it to his shop to work on OVER THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY no less! He delivered the mower back to me right after New Years Day and it has worked perfectly ever since. He even gave me some pointers on how best to maintain it throughout the winter. The fact that he picked up and delivered my riding mower FOR FREE is a wonderful service. And the fact that he charged a VERY FAIR, HONEST price means that the next time something goes wrong beyond my own ability, I know just who to call. Highly recommended.

Incredible service, not common in todays world, top notch!!! I called one afternoon after feeling frustrated with the mower, wouldnt start. Mike and team guaranteed theyd fix the mower with their full mower service. $85 seemed reasonable to me. But the best part...Mike sent his colleague over with a pick-up truck, no joke he showed up 20 minutes after I called, took the mower, repaired it, and returned it within about 2 hours!!!! No joke, these guys pick-up and dropped off my mower, full service (runs like a champ now), 2 hour turn-around time, $85. I felt I had to give them a tip, and post this on Google. Good job Mike!

Gave two pick up times over two days and did not show up. First day indicated he had a drop off in the neighborhood and when he failed to show up I had to call him to find out he was unable to pick up. Agreed he would pick up on the next day at 10am at 10:30 I called and was told he would be here a few minutes after 10 when I told them it was already 30 minutes past 10 they hung up. They indicated they had called me at 9am which was not true. Received a call back and was told he would not work on my mower. AVOID!!!! Most important ability is DEPENDABILITY. This vendor is sadly lacking.

Gave Mike a call to look into issues with my riding mower. While he didn’t find anything to fix he did do routine maintenance that was overdue. He and his wife kept me in the loop all the way, and still better priced than “that large chain home service company”. Will call him again if anything comes up.

I called Mike on a Thursday morning to tell him that my lawn mower was smoking, choking, and then died. He asked if I could bring the mower in and I told him that I couldnt lift it into my car myself, so he came by that afternoon to pick it up. For a single woman, this is a wonderful benefit. He called on Friday to tell me what it needed and how much it would cost. On Saturday he brought it back to my house in good working order at a reasonable price. I am a very happy camper.

Mikes work was excellent ... sharpened the blades I had very well. A little hard to find if not familiar with the area ...Google Maps was off by a couple of blocks, maybe due to the construction nearby. Good turnaround on the job given his backlog of small engines and equipment. Will go back to Mikes in the future.

Mike fixed my push mower within 24 hours. Reasonable price. Thing fires up on the first pull now. Didnt try to up-sell a bunch of stuff to me. Hes extremely friendly. Did a great job explaining steps I can take to prevent the problem in the future. He even stuck around a little later to allow me time to get over there to pick up the mower after closing time. I needed my self-propelled line repaired on my mower, along with maintenance. Mike came and picked up my mower and brought it to his shop. That alone was worth it, considering dealing with Sears in the past were I had to bring it there, drain all fuel and oil, do without out the mower for 2 weeks, pay $100 for diagnostic and even more for the repairs and pick it up! Mike did the repairs and brought my mower back in a week. I paid a lot less for superior service with Mike. I used it today and it works like new. If you need mower repair or maintenance, go local and let Mike do the job!

If you are looking for a place to fix your lawnmower this is the place. I had an old cub cadet mower where the blade bolts were rusted stuck and they fixed it. They even ordered the right blades (when I gave the the incorrect ones). Its a two person operation that only takes cash and checks but well worth it.

My push mower is 18 years old. I thought it was on its last leg and wouldnt start. Mikes Mower serviced my mower and its working like top. Only cost me $85 for a complete service and that included pickup and delivery within a day. Saved me from buying a new mower. Mike works on ride mowers too. Good honest couple making a good honest living. Will be using them each year to service my mower.

Mike did a great job. He offered to pick up the lawn mowers (I have two that werent working), he fixed them and returned them to my home. He even offered to stop by my place of employment to collect the payment, so I didnt have to miss work. I would recommend Mike to anyone.

Mike is absolutely the best mower repair person Ive ever had to deal with. I chose him because of all the positive reviews and Im very glad I did. He is honest, trustworthy, and best of all reasonable with his prices. Everyone fears having a riding mower fail during the spring growing season because the grass is growing twice as fast as you can get to it, so I really was desperate to get my ZTR back on the lawn as soon as possible. I had an electrical short and Mike repaired the mower and got it back to me in two weeks. Once before I had a spring break down that caused me to have to hire a lawn service to maintain my lawn for over a month before I got my mower back. Mike picked up my mower which was over 20 miles away and returned it once it was fixed. His staff is friendly and knowledgeable also, this was a very pleasant experience and Mike is my new repair person of choice!

Top NotchI strongly recommend Mike’s Small Engine Repair if you need any of that type of work done. He’s available, he follows up, and he did an excellent job (I took a Honda tiller that we assumed needed to be rebuilt in to him Saturday morning – within 15 minutes, he had it purring, and it ran like a champ tilling the garden the rest of the day). I will *definitely* use him again and recommend him to friends. One word of caution – if you are expecting an elaborate storefront with a gleaming garage behind it, he hasn’t worked up to that yet – right now, he’s working out of a storage unit (you’ll need to get the access code from him to get into the storage area) – but he knows his stuff and provides EXCELLENT value for the money.

Mike (and Melanie) was great! I visited him to diagnose a problem with my leaf blower. We ruled out a problem that would have meant I would be buying a new blower, and that was the one thing I needed of him. Well, he went above and beyond. He went ahead and fussed around enough to narrow in on just what I should do to get my machine back in good working order. He didnt do it for money, he did it because he wanted me as a customer when I encounter a fix im not qualified to do myself. This took me a while to write but Mike is a good businessman. His prices are perfect I had a rusted lawnmower blade that would not come loose at all. He got it off fast I had to bring the mower back but he quickly fixed the issue with no problem.

Mike did a first rate job on repairing my generator with a clogged up carburetor, fuel line and more. Thats the problem with ethanol gas. He went above and beyond to further clean up some rust and gunk on the outside, dumped the bad fuel out of the gas tank and put in some 93 octane gas for me PLUS picked up and delivered it to me. And all at a very reasonable price. I will recommend Mike to everyone I know! Thanks again, Mike!

Mike had my pusher up and going for a reasonable cost. I spent a few extra bucks on a nicer push mower a few years ago and after some serious neglect it needed some repairs. Mike took care of it in a timely fashion and he was very easy to work with.

Fast, prompt and amazing. I cant tell you how awesome he is.I had my lawn mower serviced last year by someone else, but this year my mower needed service again. The problem was regular gas, Mike took time out of his day to educate me on what type of gas to put in and also how to store it over the winter. It is just the beginning of the season but he went the extra mile.I would differently recommend him to a friend.

Complete waste of time and money. Our 7-year old mower had real difficulty starting, and so we had Mike collect it in April for a diagnosis and repair. It was made clear to him that we didnt want to invest a lot of money and would rather buy a new one if it could not be easily fixed. We collected the mower about 10 days later and paid $100 for the repair. On getting it home, I could not start it, and it took my husband several attempts over a half hour to finally get the mower started; it should have been obvious to any competent mechanic that the problem was not fixed. I phoned Mike, explained that the mower was no better than before, and took the mower back to him to fix properly. We heard nothing from him and had to call many, many times for an update and to chase to get the work done. He said he was busy and gave us lots of excuses, but it was clear to us that he simply wasnt interested in fixing our mower properly despite his claim to stand by his work. Three weeks after leaving the mower for the second repair, we were told it had been fixed and could collect it. Once again, the problem starting was evident right off the bat. My husband managed to start it for one mow, but on trying a second time, the mower would not - and still does not - start. In sum, we got the run around and wasted our money. I would not trust this shop beyond routine maintenance as they are clearly not competent professionals. Avoid!

The owner picked up on the third ring, he was very polite and accommodating. Philip, the mechanic, was about to close shop this Sunday, but stuck around and waited for me to show up with my generator. Put in a good two to three hours until the engine started. I have had a mower that had not been working in a couple of years. The main reason for not getting it fixed was because I had another mower and I didnt want to carry the broken one to a shop. Highly recommend! Sears repair told me that the engine in my mower was bad. Mike looked at it and repaired the intake pushrod and adjusted valves, a repair that was very reasonable in $. The mower runs better now than it did new.This guy saved me from having to purchasing a new riding mower. Could not be happier. I wish I could get Mike to work on my Truck!

NOT RECOMMENDED!!!I took a leaf blower for repair and was told that I needed a new carburetor. In hindsight, I dont think I ever needed it. When I got the Leaf Blower back, the first time I tried using it, it wouldnt work. I called up and was told to bring it back and that I wouldnt be charged. After further analysis they found wires for the kill switch were grounding out and causing the issue. I highly suspect this was the original issue. Either way, I was told it was a completely different issue and that it somehow became an issue in the time I had taken it home, hence it required payment for fixing, despite being told I would not be charged for further repairs.On top of all this, when I picked up the blower the second time, I had to wait 5min+ for the blower while they proceeded to blow all their cigarette butts off the entryway to their building. And this was happening while the owner was drinking beer (not his first would be my guess).Theres more, but suffice to say, I would suggest looking for alternatives before ever considering using these guys.

Mike picked my mower up on 8/31/2016 to replace a belt. He told me hed bring it back within 4 days. After a week, I contacted him to find out the status and he said it was giving him problems. After 10 days, he said hed have the belt tomorrow and be done. After 13 days, I asked him to just bring the mower back whether it was fixed or not. All of this communication was through text message. On day 13, when I asked him to just bring it back either way, he called me and cursed me out when I told him that other local shops had told me that not hearing anything for 2 weeks was unacceptable, before I could ask him to stop cursing at me, he hung up on me. I texted him after he hung up to let him know that I didnt appreciate being cursed out and let him know that I will be filing a police report tomorrow if mower isnt returned. His response was that he was sorry he cussed me out, he cut his finger while we were talking.Terrible customer service and quite frankly doesnt seem to be a quality individual either.

Mike took care of my John Deere self-propelled mower. It needed two new rear wheels and a tune-up/oil change/blade sharpening. He picked up the mower at my home, took care of the repair (with genuine John Deere parts) within a few days, and was very professional. He even called me afterwards to follow-up with me to be sure I was completely satisfied. I would recommend him again without hesitation.
