Like the staff, very friendly women very professional. Very great experience first time visit will return, from the colors of the wall down to the music selection makes for an enjoyable waiting experience. This salon also sells their own products down to beautiful jewelry pieces for reasonable prices. All in all I really enjoyed my experience here

My experience here was amazing!!!! I came in not knowing what u wanted down to my hair and I gave them the pleasure of giving me a full make over with one request, NO CREAMY CRACK!!!! Lol. I must admit minutes after sitting in the chair my hair started falling so I got a lil scared, Omg my hair is bout to be gone and its not gonna look right!!!! They are so good at what they do. Stylist Rasheeda told me about my hair type. She treated and trimmed my hair . I got an STS treatment and my hair is so healthy now. Im impressed and will be back in 2 weeks to start my hair journey. And they have great prices for college students...Ayeee.

This salon is the reason I will never go to a salon again. I went in with an actual photo of what I wanted. I’ve been natural for three years and never out any chemicals, colors, and barely any heat in my hair. I had a consultation with Rasheeda where we talked about my texture and care routine. My vision was to have an ombre style with dark and honey brown. My natural hair color is 1B so it was supposed to look different but not over the top. I showed Rasheeda the picture and she assured me that she could definitely do the style. I specifically asked if she could do ombre. She gave me a look and said “of course.” I was really feeling her enthusiasm so the next day, I called and set up a coloring appointment. I got to my appointment ten minutes early and my stylist was nowhere to be found. I waited in the lobby for a while and eventually she came in on the phone. I waited until she finally ended her conversation. We got started and had another conversation about my hair, my style, and what I wanted. I told her that I liked color but nothing too bold or bright. I told her that I wanted ombre. I told her about the highlights I wanted. She and I literally sat there and dissected the photo. There was no confusion as to what I wanted, at least that’s what I thought. She told me that she did not need to lift my hair because of the deep color I wanted. After she pulled my hair out trying to detangle it (I am never rough with my hair but she pulled and yanked relentlessly), she took me to the sink. I am not a stylist but even I know that you do not ombre by putting someone’s hair in ponytail and coloring the hair that’s inside the ponytail. That is the most ratchet way to color hair. So I’m sitting there with a stark line where my dark hair ends and this bleached hair begins. She then mixed some color and put it in. At this point, there is no going back and I’m just hoping that she knows what she’s doing. When I lifted my head again, my hair was Ronald McDonald red. This woman tried to convince me that it was cute. I’ve never looked so ridiculous in my life. There wasn’t even a transition color to the red. It was just black hair then red. I told her that it was way too bright so she got her friend to run to family dollar and buy some copper hair color. She put it in and I still looked stupid. It barely got any darker. She tried to convince me that the color I had was the color I wanted in the picture! Brown is not bright red! I told her it was not right. She then left to run to the store but called and said they didn’t have to right color. It was almost 10pm and my appointment started at 5. I had to come in the next day and hope she could fix it. I brought a friend so she could tell me what she thought. We got there and the salon was locked. Rasheeda was nowhere to be found. We waited for 15 minutes when she pulled up. She had left to buy more color. When I went in, she had a HORRIBLE attitude. No hello. No how are you. It was the complete opposite of her attitude the day before. She was throwing shade constantly, talking about having studied color and went to cosmetology school. She put more color in my hair and it came out a deeper red with notes of copper. I was happy that it wasn’t the atrocity I had to go home with the previous night but it looked nothing like the picture I wanted. There was no ombre. There was a stark line where the color started. There were no highlights. Just black then red. I could have done that in my kitchen with hot water and kool-aid. She charged me $100 and I did not put up a fuss because I just wanted to go. Now I’m walking around looking ridiculous and it’s all her fault. I can’t even go get it fixed because she put so much stuff in my hair at one time and I don’t want to damage it. Please save your hair and do not go to this salon. I’m begging you!! SAVE YOUR HAIR!

I made an appointment with Bri on Thursday evening for Friday at 11am. I could not reach her the previous evening to find out what kind of service I should get, so I chose the best option to my knowledge at the time. I arrived Friday around 10:45am and she was still with another customer. I was seen by her assistant to begin my service (wash, dry, and deep condition). Bri looked at my hair and suggested I get a different service that would be better for my hair but was more time consuming. I agreed, after all she is the professional. At around 11:45am Bri was still with another costumer and she came to the realization that my new service would take longer than the time previously allotted. She asked me to come back at 2pm. I could not, so we scheduled the changed service to 10am on Sunday.Now stop here. I was there for an hour before it was realized that my new service would take longer than the time originally set aside. I was unhappy to say the least. But I would continue with the new appointment.On Saturday evening after much consideration and with the knowledge that I couldnt cancel my appointment without a fee. I left a review about my experience during the first appointment.On Sunday morning I arrived at Bris salon minutes before my scheduled appointment. No one was there. I called several numbers before I reached Bri. It was then she informed me that she had cancelled my appointment 3 minutes before I was to be there. After a discussion in which we never spoke face to face it was decided she did not want to do my hair largely in part due to my review of my first experience with her.Lets stop again. This was very unprofessional in my opinion, especially for someone with such high reviews. To say the least my unhappiness stemming from my first experience was not improved. Instead of doing my hair at the appointed time and rectifying any issues I may have with how the session began, she opted to just cancel my appointment with no notice. And she was also not there on time to speak face to face.I am sure based on previous reviews, Bris skills as a stylist are wonderful. But her professionalism leaves much to be desired.

I went to Rasheeda for a silk press on December 19th. I have natural hair but have never worried about flat ironing as Rasheeda had flat ironed my hair many times before. Unfortunately it was not Rasheeda who did my hair. The woman who did my silk press had no experience handling my type of hair and as a result the process was painfully and created unnecessary tangling. Due to this my silk pressed hair matted considerably and I had to wash the press out early. Upon washing my hair I have significant heat damage. As you can imagine Im devastated.
