I was very skeptical to work with a dealer after some bad experiences, but Durhams had a vehicle I really wanted and Im really glad I gave them a shot.They were completely professional from start to finish. The pricing was extremely fair (especially given how crazy the auto market has been lately) and at no point did I feel like I was getting an aggressive sales pitch.Its a family run business and it was really nice to see the younger generation learning the ropes! Connor was awesome to work with.The car we purchased was in great shape. They were happy to let me take it to a mechanic for a third-party inspection and they re-detailed the car before I drove it off the lot. There is one minor issue with the vehicle that they were proactive about bringing to my attention and are fixing at no additional cost. I appreciated that they let me take the car home right away (Im sure they were happy to get the sale done right away too) and that they made a record of the issue (and their commitment to fix it) in the contract I signed before I left the lot.I was planning to go third party for financing, but they were able to find me rates that were the same as what I was bringing in anyways.All around great experience from start to finish. I had a lot of fun working with them and will definitely go back next time Im in the market for a car!

Purchased a 2015 Lexus GS350 here and it was a great buying experience. I arranged my own financing with my local credit union and drove in from out of town to buy the vehicle. Everything was ready to go when I arrived, I was in and out in 30 minutes at the most. The car met my expectations in person as far as condition goes and Ive been very happy with it since. They did throw in a 6 month warranty with the car which is great too, I found one very minor issue after buying the car which the warranty covers.All in all would definitely buy here again, TJ was great to do business with and I love the car!

I want to thank Jason Chambers and Jason (in finance) for the amazing customer service when purchasing our new vehicle a month ago.We are new to NC and had no idea where to go to purchase a vehicle. We started with the big dealerships in the area Westgate, Hendricks ect. to name a few. The experience at these places was less than pleasant. If we were not looking to purchase a brand new vehicle they had no interest in helping us. They told us they would continue to help us find a vehicle and nobody ever contacted us again. We even went to Wilmington NC to a dealership and was ready to purchase and the sales people were terrible and ended up walking out!!!! We were to the point that we were going to reach out to the people we worked with in IL and make our purchase through them. I had seen a vehicle listed in Durham Auto Mart site and called them to discuss. They were very friendly and honest from the first call. We decided to take one more chance and went to meet with them and look at the vehicle. From the minute we got there everyone was great, friendly, smiling and accommodating. We spoke with Jason Chambers and he listened to what we wanted and did not focus on anything else. He did not try to sell us something else and focused on getting us into the vehicle we wanted. We met with Jason(finance) and he was the same, willing to work with us and listened to what we wanted to pay. He did not come back with any surprises or trying to get us to put more money down and kept payments to what we had asked. The vehicle we purchased is great and huge thank you to the detail team as they had that vehicle looking spotless! This might not sound like something to point out however few places we went the cars were dirty and one had roaches on floor boards. These are just a few things that I want to comment on however overall experience and ALL the staff we met and talked with were amazing! I appreciated that a lot.I left the lot with freshly changed oil, topped off fluids, they went to the gas station and gave me half a tank of gas, I have never in my life seen such great customer service.My husband is always there trying to buy SOMETHING, so they know him really well. When we pulled up they already knew who I was because they always saw my husband looking for the perfect car. They were SO EXCITED for us that we finally got something nice! I felt like Ive known these people my whole life.They always answered his questions and were always patient with him. I am more of the type to bide my time, and when I finally decided I was ready to buy a vehicle, my husband drove up in a beautiful Dodge Grand Caravan with less than 150k miles. It was immaculate, I would say as perfect condition as I have ever seen in a 2012.I took it to a dealership to get a new key, and they found a few minor problems such as some bad mounts, a seal that caused a bit of an oil leak. They took my van, Mr. Durham himself dropped my husband off at our house and had it fixed in two days. They showed my husband the problems while it was on the lift, after the parts had been taken off and showed him the new parts they were putting on. The van is running wonderfully, I honestly believe this is the best vehicle I have ever purchased and I have purchased a new toyota back in 2010 and 2012.I had expected to pay $100 because of the warranty that was offered to me, but they didnt charge me a dime.I purchased this vehicle as an investment, and I am going to be in the market soon for two additional vehicles for family members. I will absolutely bring them to Durhams Auto Mart. I have referred everyone I know, my neighbors, my parents, anyone in the market for a car I will refer them to this place without a doubt.

(RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE) I recently purchased a Dodge Charger from Durham auto mart and the engine went out a month after I purchased it. Sad to say the dealership was very unprofessional and is not willing to stand by their vehicles and rectify the situation (I was told it had a dealership warranty so everything was covered) definitely would not recommend shopping here if you want a reliable vehicle.

I purchased a Lexus ES350 from them where I came in as they were 30 minutes to closing where they waited for me to test drive and look over the vehicle without any pressure. TJ and Jason answered all of my questions and waited an additional hour and a half for me to decide with no pressure and this is what prompted me to do business with them. Called about a white 2016 mustang to see if it was still available and it was they said the only way they would hold it if i put a deposit down a little iffy about putting down money with out me seeing the car but TJ promised me i wouldn’t find anything wrong with it, which I didn’t. Excellent dealership! We had been searching for a particular used car for several months when we contacted TJ about a car I saw on their website. TJ started ignoring me and finally a manager contacted me. Then they inform me it was bought on consignment! Then they ignore you. Save your money. You’re better off buying a vehicle from a crackhead on the corner. Honesty and trustworthiness will be about the same.

After traveling over 500 miles I bought a car from them got home and discovered some issues, I was very disappointed and concerned about the cost to fix. This is when I found out who Durhams auto mart really is. I called them to discuss the problem I was having they seemed very concerned and compassionate about it. ( Sometimes things like this happen and from my experience most used car dealers stop at the apoligy.) I dont think It was something they knew about either because the car was in perfect condition cosmeticly and seemed to run very good. What makes them different is two days later they called and told me they were going to stand behind the car and repair the issue. They went out of their way to make the issue right and make me feel whole. They are by far the most honest and caring used car dealer I have done business with.

The best car buying experience I have ever had! I have been searching and research for a particular vehicle for weeks, and Durham auto mart had it. My husband called first thing in the morning, by the time we got there the car was washed, waxed, and gassed up ready to go on a test drive.When looking the van over we noticed a small broken piece ( normal wear and tear for a used car), before I was able to say anything TJ said he would replace it and had a technician looking it 1 minute later! Then he double check the new batteries where in the remote and headphones.After two test drives, a good look over and paper work. I was in and out under 2 hours!!! I hadn’t even finished my cup of coffee before the paper work was over.I was so impressed with how clean the van was, how clean the dealership was, the warm welcoming family style hospitality. TJ was great to work with! I knew we were in great hand with him then I looked over on the corner of his desk and noticed a rugged and well loved bible.Absolutely worth the hour Drive, with three young kids to buy a new to me van!

The Durhams dont disappoint. Toby and Scott have been great to me and my car these past two years and when a major issue came up they diagnosed it and took care of it immediately. Hoping they’ll get a nice challenger in that’ll meet my husbands standards so we can go back and give them business again. We went to another dealership in Durham to look at a suburban and we were no sooner getting out of the car and a salesman was chasing us down. After we left, we decided to stop at Durham’s Auto Mart on the way home, and right away we noticed they weren’t pushy and they gave us our space. A few minor issues with the suburban that were noticed during the test drive, but they’re fixing them all for us. Jayson was awesome and worked really hard to get us within the price range we wanted. Would def. recommend!

My husband and a good friend of ours drove from Rochester, NY to Durham, NC to purchase s 2006 Chrysler 300C. Our salesman TJ couldnt have been more professional and informative. He took care of every detail to make this transaction as smooth as possible. He even opened the dealership an hour early on a Saturday so that we could start our trip back home. Found a truck online here at Durham Auto Mart and sent in a request to find out more about it. Within a few hours, I was contacted. The workers here were incredibly nice throughout the entire process and told me the positives and negatives of the truck. They kept me update and if any issues arrived, I was notified as soon as they could get hold of me. I felt like I knew the workers there just through the conversations we had over the phone and through the emails.This is a family oriented business, and they do an awesome job of making you feel like you are part of that family. Ive been to several car lots looking for the truck we ended up getting, and never have we gotten the service that we got here. We can not recommend Durham Auto Mart enough. If you are looking for a used vehicle, especially in great condition for an affordable price, this is the place to go!

Its a fine used car place. They charge a bit too much, and hide flaws in vehicles, but not any more than most places. Very friendly, if thats what youre looking for.
