Absolutely earned 5 stars. My agent Mark Ham is truly great. He has fielded all of my questions with patience and is always looking out to help me in whatever way he can. Extremely responsive and respectful.As someone who does not know much about car insurance or property insurance he made obtaining both extremely easy and straight forward.Example: I was attempting to get a bank loan for a car. I was unaware that the bank would not give me a loan until I had insurance on the vehicle I was attempting to purchase.(kind of backwards if you ask me, anyways)On the shortest possible notice, Mark was able to spin up an insurance policy for me while I was sitting in the loan agents office, thus making obtaining car insurance the easiest part of the entire car buying experience.This review does not give me a discount on insurance or anything of that nature, Im truly just impressed with Marks ability to make the process so seamless and easy.

I dont think Ive ever had a great relationship with any insurance entity. I can say though, that all changed with FB. Not only do we have a genuine relationship with our agent, Mark Ham, but we truly believe and know that he cares about us and our family. Owning our own business, we are in the business of making relationships, not transactions. Thats exactly how we feel with FB and Mr. Ham. We feel like people to him, not a transaction. Do whatever it takes to work with them!!

Brandy Gill in the Durham County office is the best agent! She was very helpful along with the assistance of her Associate Agent, Melissa who was easy to talk to and so very sweet! Both of these ladies worked great together to help my family and I with all of our insurance needs. I would highly recommend them!

Our agent Rob will get you taken care of with all your insurance needs. We tried Allstate, State Farm, Nationwide, you name it and we tried it. We had only good experiences with NC Farm Bureau, whether it was assistance with business, auto, or home claims!Dont pay attention to those 1-star reviews. They are probably reviewing the wrong company, State Farm, which is a completely different company.Just give a call to Rob, he is the man!

Stephanie is a rock star. I was a long time customer with another auto insurance carrier and Stephanie helped make a seamless and timely transition to Farm Bureau. Then, when I decided to purchase a new vehicle, she called me over the weekend to address my questions and update my policy. Two thumbs up for exemplary service!

Great and personal service, with prices that cant be beat. Yes you might need to go to their office to meet with them. One reviewer complained about that. I find an insurance agent who wants to meet in person is a feature, not a bug.

Customer service is non-existent as soon as you need help. Multiple billing errors have negatively affected our credit score!!Please dont use them, their errors impact your financial situation and they NEVER follow up. Just dont want you to have the same problem as us

Been trying to close our policies since Jan 2019. They keep billing us and taking money from our bank account for a closed policy. It just reopened again and now they want the $64 fee for reinstatement. Have asked for help numerous times and agent Brandy Gill just hands it back to the people who keep making mistakes. She never follows up or checks in to be sure we are satisfied. Customer Service seems great at first but as soon as you need something, youre on your own. Excuse is always the home office so good luck with that.Incredibly and Deeply Disappointed.

We sold our car and had to cancel our insurance the second month, they charged us a short term penalty calculated as 10% of our proposed 6 months premium. We had to pay them $110 just for cancellation. No other insurance company adopts this practice. Ive cancelled many auto insurances before and never had to pay any cancellation penalty. So, I have to warn new customers from their practice. Stay away from them.

During the time that I was with Farm Bureau I had rental insurance and car insurance on two vehicles. My policy got really high after I moved and didnt need rental insurance anymore. I called to cancel and got on my husbands insurance with another company. I was paying more for myself than both my husband and I are paying with my new policy. Everyone was very friendly while I was there and when I cancelled they were not very helpful and still drafted almost $200 out of my account after I cancelled. I waited for my agent Mark Banker to call back and he never did. I received a letter in the mail from the home office. The customer service on the end was poor and the prices were way unbelievable when I left.

My roommate just sold his car and we called to cancel his auto insurance.They required him to come in person to sign this cancellation.We found this inconvenient. We had to waste 60 minutes going and coming there.I have had too many auto policies, I have never been asked to sign a cancellation form. I am always able to cancel over the phone or the internet.Intelligent ways of communication can save a lot of time.

Switched my policies over recently from Nationwide to Agent Chase Kernodle and I couldnt be happier. He saved me over 800 dollars a year on my Home and Auto. He provided great service. Id suggest giving him a call.

Dont trust the accident forgiveness it is a scam. Now we are messed up for 3 years because of Farm Bureau

Sub par insurance. Rates go up ever 6 months they do not foster long term clients. Agent Chase Kernodle and staff are misleading and do not articulate your policy clearly. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! I would try a company that fosters long term relationship like STATE FARM or GEICO!
