This place goes so far above standard treatment its amazing. I had the worst pain Ive ever felt in a hopelessly decayed molar, It was scheduled to get extracted in NM in a month but it was so much pain I had to be on pills to function and I didnt want to wait, the pain was so bad I thought about digging the tooth out myself, then I found this place, Dr. Rothchild got it out all the way to the ends of the roots with no complications. They also digitally mapped a 3D model of my teeth and showed me my sinus and oral airways now I know more than ever about my dental health. They make their crowns in office too, so you dont need to deal with a temporary crown. Lastly, asking other dentists about my broken fillings was always frustrating because I wanted them replaced with the better fillings and no other dentist wanted to deal with the problem. Well not here they did the work I wanted and couldnt get from average dentists. Im so grateful for the quality work. I wouldnt spend my money at any other dentist in southwest Colorado.

This office is further away for me, but its well worth it. I like Johns approach and advice. And he has a great team. Bandi is an awesome assistant and for anything larger I would schedule my appointment around her. Patty has been a very gentle hygienist. Sometimes it takes weeks to get an appointment with her, but, here too, its well worth the wait. Im very, very happy with this dentists office.

This office provided the most thorough dental exam Ive ever had. My visit far exceeded my expectations. Everyone on staff, from technician to hygiene to reception to payment, not to mention Dr. Rothchild himself, was exceptionally knowledgeable in their area and took time to answer any and all questions. The level of study they took to understand my teeth, gums, general health and overall lifestyle was exceptional. This is the way dentistry should be. Very impressed!

Dr. Rothchild is a top-notch dentist. In his office, he and his staff avail themselves of the most cutting edge dental technology and equipment. Most importantly, however, Dr. Rothchild has an excellent bedside manner, and he seems to genuinely care about helping his patients.

I found Dr. Rothchild after being hospitalized for an infection in my jaw untreated by my former dentist. He has singlehandedly restored my faith in dentists again. His acupuncture techniques and colored glasses leave me calm and peaceful even during a root canal. His calm and kind presence and his level of skill cant be praised enough. He has techniques and equipment that are state of the art. The ozonation of the area has kept my extractions free of infection and pain. He has the ability to make crowns in office, in your mouth before you leave, no messy impressions, he simply scans your mouth with a camera and designs your crown.. I have had laser to stimulate bone growth, root canals, extractions, crowns, treatment for gum disease, you name it! Dr. Rothchild and his staff have become family, they make me feel loved and comforted and it is truly pleasant to go to the dentist now. Finally.I found needed answers, pain relief, and healing.For months I had off-and-on headaches and outrageous muscle tension around my shoulders and neck. Then I was hit with facial pain and tooth pain. Fighting brain fog was also a constant battle.Long story short, I went to four dentists, had an MRI, EEG, blood tests, and ended up at Emergency Room with extreme pain one night. The ER doc said I had the symptoms of Trigeminal Neuralgia.After a round of steroids and antibiotics eased the pain, I realized an infection might be the main problem.My husband researched biodentists, and he found one who fit all our needs in Durango--Dr. John Rothchild.Only Dr. Rothchild has the rare combination of skill, extensive experience, recent training, and (super-cool) high-tech tools necessary to diagnose both my long-term brain fog and my more recent facial pain.The good Doctor diagnosed and deftly took care of my main problems:1) I had a distinct (but really small) channel between an infected tooth root and an infected and enlarged sinus cavity.2) The jaw bone near the infected tooth and where my wisdom tooth had been pulled--when I was in college--had infection areas, too. Dr. Rothchild did a cavitation to clean up the area.THE PAIN DISAPPEARED!Gone, vanished, erased, totally non-existent. My shoulders, neck are now relaxed and all facial and tooth pain is gone. My name is Terri Beecher I am a retired Dental Hygienist from Pagosa Springs, CO. I used to suffer constantly with fibromyalgia, migraines, constant need for chiropractor adjustments and hormone imbalances. Thanks to the help of my chiropractor Lauren Cohen, I found some significant improvement with cutting out foods I was allergic to, endocrine supplements and some stress/emotional management tools but I still struggled with all of those things. After awhile Lauren suggested maybe the 2 root canal teeth I had might be driving the problems.I was blessed to find Dr. John Rothchild a holistic dentist in Durango, CO!He carefully and safely removed what turned out to be very diseased root canal teeth (that weren’t bothering me), all my amalgam fillings (to get rid of the mercury) and made an amazing splint to balance my bite all which has further improved my quality of life!Aside from what Dr. Rothchild did for me I really enjoyed learning about his vast knowledge on not only dentistry but many alternative health related subjects.
