I have been going to Dr.Cullpepper since before she opened her own practice. She is always thorough and genuinely cares. The staff is great as well. I have 3 fur babies that receive all their care here and I wouldnt want to change that for anything.

The whole staff is Professional, kind and caring. I have 5 fur babies ranging from 3 to senior with special needs (Dr. Culpepper has saved my 1 fur babies life a couple of times). They are helping me manage medical conditions for them all. Dr. Culpepper and everyone that I have met at Paws and Claws this week has been amazing. They took great care of my puppy and are all very friendly. On top of the stellar care given; they were extremely quick to get my dog into their schedule not once, but twice because of an emergency over course of two days without a prior appointment. Ive read all of these reviews and these are honest and sincere people when they rave about Dr Cindy. She is all that and so much more. Ive been blessed to know her as a vet and a friend. Like so many others, weve followed her from a previous clinic and once you take your fur-kid here youll know why. My beloved 16 1/2 yrs old Maltese who recently passed away was given his last 3 yrs by Dr Cindy. He loved her and Im so grateful to have had more time with him. Three months ago I adopted my first rescue who was sick from the shelter. She was dumped at the shelter by a puppy mill and was terribly ill with an upper respiratory infection among many other complications. Her little body was worn out from having so many litters and zero medical care for 8 to 10 years. Dr Cindy and Sheila (who also came from her previous practice) went above and beyond to care for Baby and she is now living the life that she truly deserves. This rescue filled a void in my heart and is such a wonderful furbaby. Thank you Cindy, Sheila and your staff for having such a love for animals. Before getting my pup, I did a lot of research & read a lot of reviews to make sure I chose the right one. I can say without hesitation Dr. Culpepper has exceeded my expectations from the start and I have yet to meet her in person due to COVID19. She has guided use every step of the puppy stage & truly cares & advises honestly. The entire team is great & I appreciate all they do!

Let’s start by saying I would recommend this place to anyone. The process to make your Appointment was easy and a short a time window for waiting than any other place in the county. So my appointment was just under two weeks out which worked out well because kitty was in heat when I made the appointment she was out but going right back in as the appointment happened. Once we got to the appointment we just pulled up called the phone number and they came out and got kitty. We filled out a few forms and then we left it at the door. They called me a few hours later actually the doctor called us a few hours later to let us know how the surgery went and let us know that kitty was doing well. They told us that we could come back and get her anytime after 130 to 430 which was amazing because I work and I had a meeting so it gave me a good time period To go get her. When we arrive to pick her up we called the phone number and they asked us a few things told us the recovery and brought kitty out to us. One thing that I thought that surprised me was I was going to have to pay for the cone, as most other places had told me we had to. I never received a bill for that part which I think is amazing that they do that for the community. Kitty did amazing I realize that they even trimmed her nails for me which was amazing because I thought I was doing it right and apparently I still had them too long. I like that they didn’t clip her ears to show that she was fixed because I hate that I think it’s inhumane but I know if some places have to do it I love that they didn’t do that to her it’s bad enough she already had to have surgery but at least she got to keep her full ears. We took Kitty home she did well through the night and the next morning they actually called to check on her and go over how everything was doing and explain things a little bit more detail and it was amazing the compassionate! the staff is so caring and everything with this company was anything you expected for your animals. Kitty is doing great and now we don’t have to worry about anymore sleepless night because of her being in heat! Thank you all for everything! You truly are one of the best services I have seen in a while!

Dr culpepper is seriously amazing! I met her when I fostered a dog from Suncoast animal league And the pup had a few issues and was going to require a major surgery. Dr culpepper was by my side following up the entire time. She really took her time with Maddie and cared for her as if she was her own pup! She went above and beyond with text messages sending me x-rays and the follow-ups! shell sit down and talk with you and explain everything to you and you dont leave her office until you fully understand! Its hard to get that type of service these days. Everyones in a rush to get to the next patient, but not with Dr culpepper! Maddie, who I am now adopted as my own, will be a patient for life!

I have been bringing my mutt, Carmela, here since the practice opened. Although we havent seen Dr. Culpepper in person since COVID, she and her staff have made the inconvenience of not being able to go into the practice as straightforward as possible. Dr. Culpepper clearly loves her patients. She makes very thorough follow-up phone calls and I particularly appreciate not feeling pressured to order (and pay for) imaging or additional tests that might not really reveal anything about our slightly senior rescue dog. When I called and told them the problem I was having with my bird, they said to bring her in as soon as possible! No wait, no appt. Just bring her in. They kept in constant contact letting me know how she was doing. I did not expect the quality care my pet received. The cost was a shock, much less than I had expected. The Vet and the staff are friendly and there is no complaints on them but I was expecting one price and then when I pick up the dogs I get hit with a bill of over $500 when I was expecting a little less than half of that. I had the lab work held back and that took some off but for a check up and vaccines for two 1 year old pups thats way too much. If I had known in advance it wouldve been a different experience. If I had been more prepared for this I wouldnt be so aggravated but Im working on a budget with wages slashed after covid.

Its hard for us to say how much we like Dr. Culpepper and her staff. They give good advice and counsel, genuinely understand the relationship between you and your pet, and listen to your concerns. Each appointment, I know that our dogs are in good hands. And maybe its the little things that convinced me, but in a lifetime of being an owner of large and cantankerous Airedale Terriers, it says a lot about the staff that they enjoy our dogs visits as much as we do. Its not uncommon for our pets to be greeted by a staff member cuddling with them for a minute before the exam.And we were most impressed with the compassion they showed when the inevitable time came for our elderly Airedale last year. A hard day was made much easier by the care of the staff. The relationships they build with all their clients are evident. I give them my highest recommendation.

I took my dog here for the first time ever on a Saturday morning. He was having trouble breathing. Dr. Culpepper said he needed to see a cardiologist on Monday but take him to emergency if he worsened. Dr. texted me that afternoon to check on my pup. His breathing had worsened. She called around and found an emergency vet that could get a cardiologist in on the weekend. She checked on me twice more that evening and sent condolences in the morning when she called the emergency hospital and found he had passed away. This had been our first visit! I didnt even meet her (because of Covid) and she went so far out of her way for us. Such a caring person. I cant recommend her enough.

My dog had a tooth ache during the pandemic which is awfully scary. Dr. Culpepper saw him right away and the surgery was very reasonable while she was in surgery she made a decision to also take another tooth out due to it being infected. She went above and beyond to make sure my dog was ok afterwards. They did 4 follow up calls and I couldn’t have asked for more honestly. She took X-rays and realized there was pain in the neck and gave him exactly when he needs now it is rest time. Dr. Culpepper and her staff are remarkable. My veterinarian of over 20 years retired and referred me to Dr. Culpepper. I was reluctant and concerned that it would be impossible to match the level of care and compassion Id received over all the years. I was pleasantly surprised! They always follow up within 48 hours of the visit to make sure things are going well and, if needed, they follow up again after that.

There isn’t a better Vet office out there! I have owned dogs all my life and lived all over the place and Dr. Culpepper and her staff are truly the best Vet and staff I have ever come across. I started going to see her when my dog was very sick. I had been to countless other vets and spent thousands of dollars on needless tests and prescriptions. No other vet could figure out what was wrong with him. When I brought him to Dr. Culpepper she knew exactly what to test for. And she found out what was wrong with my boy! Unfortunately, he did have something serious but with the doctor and her staff’s stellar care they have helped keep him stay healthy and happy for 3 years now! They are all so caring and sweet. They truly want to help all of the animals. Dr. Culpepper takes the time to explain things to you in a way you understand. They charge fair prices and never try to make you take tests or get medicines you don’t need (which is, unfortunately something I have encountered else where). We don’t know what we would do without her them!

Cant imagine how kind and concerned not only Dr Pep but her entire team is. Had to rush my dog in an emergency situation abd they cared for her all day. Dr called me throughout the day to give me updates and ease my concerns.

Dr. Culpepper is the most caring vet I have ever had! We are on my second cat now, Sir Buffington, and have solved many problems and shared weight loss success! Dr. Treats me as part of the family. I highly recommend this practice.

Dr. Culpepper is the best. I live way down in St. Pete and it is worth the time to get up to Dunedin to see her. I have 6 rats most of whom have had to see her at one point or another and she and her staff treat them with all the respect and concern you would expect for a cat or a dog. She is also definetly the vet with the most knowledge and experience regarding rats in Pinellas county. Everyone is so friendly and kind. I have never ever had a bad experience or felt rushed. I love them and I genuinely cant say enough good things about them!

I have a male 15 year old Eclecus parrot that could not walk or perch ! They got me in for a visit with exrays and. Pain meds in 24 hours👍 awesome friendly staff that check on my baby 👍 ! First vet to send me a text to make sure he is OK and actually care👍👍👍 I would recommend paws and claws to everyone who loves their pets

I should have written this sooner, but I really cannot emphasize the amazing care that Dr. Culpepper and her staff showed. My wife has 2 sugar gliders that had become dehydrated (lesson learned about trusting a 14 year old to care for the pets...) and were basically on the brink of death. Not only did they find the time in a very busy day to see to their emergency care, and not only did said care absolutely save them, but Dr. Culpepper stayed in personal contact with me throughout the following days. When it appeared they were in trouble again she swiftly relayed information that helped continue their treatment. Ive never experienced such great care in a lifetime of owning various pets. I cannot recommend her and her practice strongly enough for pet owners in the Dunedin area!
