Laurie and her Staff are very helpful. I received a notice from the MVA to provide proof of insurance. I called them and told them what I needed and they every able to send it to the MVA and followed up with me verifying it the following day. I didn’t even have to take the form to them.
Laurie Jacobson is the worst Insurance Agent I have worked with in my 20+ Years of being insured with State Farm. Laurie Jacobson is dishonest, she is a swindler and her staff is incompetent for not begin able to provide simple solutions. Not only do I receive constant solicitation in the mail for services I am not interested in or in many cases even eligible for, the last 6 months I have had to deal with a completely unreasonable fiasco. My father gave me a small Ford Truck that I decided to get insurance on, get tags for and use whenever I didnt need my much larger F150. I quickly got the insurance first and paid for 6 months up front but shortly after found out the truck was not eligible for registration. The title had not even been signed over into my name. After discovering this I immediately called the office to cancel the insurance, I was told my full 6 months would be refunded to me.3 months after canceling, I still had not received a refund. I call the office again to see what is going on, and they claim the truck is still insured and was never canceled, even though I had received a letter about the cancellation. Now that the unregistered truck that was not even in my name had been insured for 3 months I was only able to receive a partial refund because of their refusal to cancel the policy the first time.I called the head office of State Farm and found they are not even allowed to insure a vehicle who was not even titled to me yet and that I should receive a full refund if I can prove that the truck was not in my name. Now its about 7 months after the start of this whole mess, Ive called and been to the office half a dozen times, no results. When it was time to renew my Large F150 I went to the office to bring up the refund again, they agreed that it was owed to me, so I asked them to deduct it from my truck insurance. They said they couldnt do that, that I would have to wait even more time to get my money back. So I wrote them a check for my insurance, less the amount due to me and informed them of such. 2 weeks later I still have received no refund and now I get a bill threatening cancellation of my insurance if I do not send them the difference that is already owed to me.Rest assured, Laurie Jacobsons office will do everything in its power to keep its commissions rather than keep a 20 year customer happy. If you want to stick with State Farm, its worth the drive to another location that is more honest and reasonable.
