Ken Doyle and his team at All States Landscaping have been wonderful to work with for our front and backyard landscaping project. Their professionalism started with our first meeting and continued throughout the project. They kept to their scheduled meetings, they responded to emails/text/call for all our questions, and they explained step by step the process and delivered on their promises. Some highlights they did was a retaining wall covered in our home’s original stone, a large deck made from pavers, a custom pavilion, and an outdoor gas fireplace. Our landscaping is beautiful. The process was fair and reasonable, and never pushy. We will use All States Landscaping going forward for all our exterior needs.
Id give Ken and his crew at All States 10 stars if I could. They started my yard the first part of March 2021 and had it completely done in no time flat. He had his guys there working everyday and they knew what they were doing for sure. His guys were very polite and professional with interaction that they had with me. I could not be happier with the results. Also, I live in Daybreak, he and his landscape design team helped me get together all of the documents I needed to submit to the HOA for approval. Again, thanks Ken. Couldnt be happier. Before and after pics below.
Wow!! I love all state and what they have done for my yard. I bought a home, that the previous owner neglected the yard. Well all state was able to totally change that! From the moment the rep called to the completion of the job was a smooth process that did take 2-4 weeks. But it was also spring! My next project starts tmr with them, and I am all ready excited for that! I can’t wait to see why they can do for the yard!!Here are some before and after pictures!!
Ken and his team did an outstanding job for us start to finish. During the design phase they took our ideas for our yard and improved on them. Once the project began the crews working on the project were hard working and extremely professional. They clearly take pride in their work and want to produce the best product possible. Mauricio and his attention to detail was very much appreciated. The work that was performed and the materials used are of top notch quality. They communicated with us very well every step of the way, and promptly addressed any questions or concerns we had. The end product is a beautiful outdoor oasis with rock retaining walls, paver patios and walkway, a gorgeous gas fire pit, vegetable garden grow boxes, a timber swing, timber privacy panels, and a lush green lawn surrounded by well appointed flower beds. We cannot say enough good about Ken, Mauricio, and the others involved in our project. Don’t hesitate to give Allstate’s a call you will not be disappointed!!
Just wanted to give a shout-out to Travis Leifson, your sprinkler specialist (his card also says hes an Account Mgr and Sales rep). He came today at the request of Mike Jacobson, your Business Development and Acct Manager. Travis was out within hours of Mikes request, to figure out what to do with a dry spot on my lawn. He determined it had been underwatered because of some sprinkler issues. He took the time to replace a couple of sprinkler heads, adjusted some spray patterns, and checked my whole lawn sprinkler system while he was here. Recommended some different sprinkling schedules and made the changes for me. In other words, Travis went WAY above and beyond what he was sent out to do, to make sure my lawn will looks its best. Very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. Also advised me on some crab grass issues. Highly recommended. Mike is doing his best also to remedy some issues left by a former employee who did not keep his promises to me. Thanks to all at All States.
Robert took excellent care of our yard needs. He ensured his team left our site with quality work in great condition. Thanks!
After contacting several different landscaping companies, we chose AllStates Landscaping for a large spring cleanup job. We appreciated that they actually came out and measured our yard and gave us a full detailed quote before starting the work. Other landscapers we contacted wanted a credit card up front before they even saw our yard! This was our first time hiring a landscaping company and Jeremy actually took the time to explain to us what needed to be done and how much time it would take. His crew came out and were miracle workers. They worked fast and efficiently! Our backyard is a quarter acre and had many overgrown flower beds filled with weeds and overgrown bushes. They went above and beyond what we expected and the end result was a beautifully clean and trimmed yard. Their pricing was on point with other quotes we received, but their initial professionalism put them over the top of their competitors. They did have a delay on delivering our mulch, but we appreciated the fact that they were up front and honest about it, and not afraid to say they didn’t know when it would be in (it ended up coming in just a couple of days later). In my business, I would rather have honesty over a yes” man any day!! Two points they could work on are slightly quicker communications, and implementing electronic payment options, but overall super impressed!!!
The first person from the company we spoke to didnt know how to design the secondary water system for our acre lot. He was only able to talk to us about the landscaping piece of the job. He referred us to Mauricio who was supposed to be the expert in what we needed. He delivered a design and plan for our system. I was skeptical but he assured us it was the right design. So we gave our credit card for a $5000 deposit so we could get on the schedule. After a month of him missing appointments and lying about our start date we finally called and complained. The owner, Ken, calls us back and was immediately defensive about his terrible employee. He came out and I gave him all the details of what had happened. He told us that we were never put on the schedule because Mauricio never sent us an actual contract to sign. He also told us that my suspicions about the system design were valid because the system design would not work. This was after I spent nearly $9000 to run piping and electrical for the system. He assured me he would get us taken care of. Over the next month I had to call and text him numerous times to get any answer about measuring my lot, contracts, updated proposals, and every other detail that should have been taken care of by him automatically. The final straw was when he told me that getting grass would be 60 days out and that he still didnt have a start date for us. I called a friend that owns a sod farm and he said he could have the grass in 2 weeks! It was all just a bunch of lies. Ken and his employees are the most unprofessional group I have ever worked with. After 2 months I finally fired them. We still have an acre lot filled with dust and weeds. Thankfully we found a good landscaper that will take care of us.Do not use these guys!
As a designer, I was thrilled to work with Mauricio. He built a custom 9ft fire pit and installed it flawlessly. I would work with him and his team again and again. Wonderful attention to detail during the install.
All States was one of the few companies to actually get back to me when landscaping was in very high demand. Doug (our sales guy) came over and had good ideas about the yard. He is knowledgeable, friendly, and a good guy.We signed the agreement in late May and put down a sizeable deposit with the understanding the project would start in mid-August. The price was more than expected, but thats what you get when you sign up during a materials and labor shortage.Fast forward 10 weeks later (to the week before our start date) and our sales guy calls to tell us they cant start the project because they cant get supplies and havent ordered them yet. Apparently the ordering team just didnt do their job. Were presented with alternatives, choose a few, and those are either on backorder (with no timetable for availability), not available till 2022, or significantly more than the agreed-to price. So the start date comes and goes without anything even being ordered.I search through my email to find the contract since this seems like just cause to cancel, and it turns out we were never given a copy of it. Then when we decide to cancel the contract (because nothing has still been ordered), the owner/president comes in with a long-winded email to deflect all blame and to tell us theres a no cancellation policy and the deposit ($10k) had to be forfeited since they already began to incur cost to complete the project. How? The sales guy had never came back (I sent him everything he needed so he wouldnt have to), their team never ordered anything, and not one hole has been dug. They hadnt even scheduled a time to come work. After some tense phone calls, we got out of the contract but All States insisted keeping $500 of the deposit for administrative services. Considering the utter lack of movement on their end, I cant imagine this went to anything other than the owners desire to stick it to the customer for daring to question the business. If youre a massive customer, maybe the company will follow their own processes and have everything lined up and ready. But if youre a smaller project (we were $30k), I think these guys are hit or miss. I loved the sales guy, he was knowledgeable and and I know he did his best to help us out (he worked overtime to make up for the failures of the procurement team), but I have no faith in their teams behind the scenes or management structure.
After consulting with Ken about our ideas for landscaping, we knew his company was right for our project. His ideas improved upon our original vision and Allstates Landscaping transformed our plain and boring yard into a cozy and inviting haven. We couldnt be happier with the results! The pavers, fire pit, stone sitting wall, and pergola are masterfully crafted. Balanced with the trees and plants its easy to lazily lose hours to the tranquility of it all. The crew is professional and courteous. Their workmanship and attention to detail is impressive. Would recommend Allstates Landscaping to anyone.
My neighbor unfortunately uses this landscaping company, they choose to block my driveway when they come to do work. Today they blocked my driveway twice in the morning and in the afternoon even after I politely ask them not to block the driveway. The man was quite rude when I asked him to move his vehicle. Ive never used these guys and I never Will.. .....after this was posted I received the below response and then for the next three days their workers continued to park in my driveway.
Call to get a bid on landscaping the first question they wanted to know was if I anticipated the project to be more then 10k, I asked why? They said they only take jobs that are 10k and over and don’t have time for small jobs, the rep was really rude and I told her that’s no a professional way to talk with customers and she stated she didn’t care and that what she has been told to say
We had them put in a paved patio with a gas fire pit, and some rock stairs and paved path leading down to it.It turned out Beautiful, the crew that worked on it was awesome. Very happy with their work.
The employees are super nice, they have a wide variety of rocks, trees, plants, and lots more! Loved it.
For days I called to find a company who could solve my sprinkler problems. Most of them who answered the phone said that they were backed up. Other companies I left messages and they did not return my calls. When Jeramy Doyle answered the phone from Allstate Landscaping I was shocked by his questioning and listening skills. He stated that they more business than what they could handle and then he said, But, I could walk you through a solution until we can get to you. After 5 minutes of taking notes, I was so impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. After hanging up I followed his instructions and solved some of my problems until they can come do a thorough overhaul of my sprinkler system. All I can say is WOW
Great to work with. Love how the landscaping turned out. Very professional crew. Robert Messersmith, the manager was very helpful in making sure everything turned out great.
You dont always get what you pay for.Ive worked with a number of contractors and businesses over the years. My experience with All States Landscaping is by far the worst experience Ive had dealing with home builders, home restoration, basement finishers, handymen, pool construction people, maid services, and yard maintenance people.First of all, we worked with their affiliated business to do a landscape design. We felt like we would avoid mistakes if we worked with someone experienced with designing a landscape. This proved to be a long and frustrating process. We had a (seemingly) simple request for the backyard, no foliage that was poisonous to dogs. Almost every suggestion they made was poisonous to dogs. We ended up doing research on our own (many hours) to determine replacements for 90% of the plants suggested for the backyard. The salesperson that worked with us after we had a design done came in with a 6 figure bid. We were very clear we wouldnt be doing every bell and whistle they came up with (eg. we can work directly with a fencing company, and the pool company to do the pool decking). I have a feeling this is how we ended up as the lowest priority for All States. After some deliberation on whether to go with a smaller localized landscaper vs All States, we opted to go with All States because they could do the rock wall and tiered steps we wanted with a material color we desired. We wrote them a check and waited. And waited. We had the pool being built concurrently so we expected to wait. We got to a point were the pool was nearing completion and the stone steps and wall needed to be completed before we could get the decking for our pool poured. They continually promised they would get someone over to do it next week, or in 2 weeks, as the summer progressed. Eventually they ran out of time. They hired some guy off facebook marketplace to do it apparently. He came over and worked on it after work hours and into the night. We had to ok it in the dark (literally 11pm at night). Looking at it the day after it was obvious the lines for the steps didnt line up at all. We didnt have a choice to have him come and redo it, the pool decking was going in.Finally their crew came in. We had continual issues with communication between the salesperson, the foreman (who was rarely onsite), and the actual lead worker (who barely spoke english). The lead worker was nice but communication was difficult. He would frequently defer to speaking to the foreman (who we saw maybe twice the entire build). It was a chore just trying to get everyone on the same page and communicate.Snipping because running out of room but there were other issues. They hit the gas line in our back yard digging a trench with a pick, thankfully no one was hurt. The curbing they put in was crushed and cracked in many places due to the driver not knowing how to avoid his own work as he was leaving. Had to hound them repeatedly to come fix it. They fixed it and left chunks of the replacement area crumbling. Fine, I guess.Things wrapped up with the install in the fall. In the spring I noticed yellowing in many areas of grass. The response was to clean the sprinkler heads. Ive cleaned these silly filters for the heads repeatedly. Im still dealing with this now. The spray head filters clog with dirt, the nozzles fill with rocks. I dont think this was done correctly. Their warranty is garbage. Its there to make you feel safe writing them a 5-6 figure check. I asked for help on this repeatedly and was told to just deal with it myself or ignored. We had most of the arbor vitae trees die. Inspecting them upon replacement I noted that the root balls were all 2-3 inches higher than the surrounding soil. Obviously planted incorrectly. All States response to them replacing the trees? They would send their owner out to look at them if I filled out a form and debated him about whether he would replace them. No thanks. Im done with this company. Im sure youll have a different experience if you have a big enough job where they get a blank check.
Allstates was great. They were helpful and always honest. They got the job done on time. Robert was amazing to work with. He was a great project manager.
All I can say is WOW - what a great final product we got. Allstates has created an amazing getaway for us in our own backyard. From the fabulous water feature to the great deck, firepit, pavillion, as well as the high quality grass, trees and shrubbery, everything looks so amazing.
AllStates Landscaping did an amazing job, I would give 10 stars if I could. When we bought our house this past fall the only thing lacking was the backyard, it had a small deck and an open dirt area, it was just horrible. Ken came out and took a look at everything and we decided to go with pavers, the end result is beyond our expectations, everything is open and the space has tripled in size from what we had. Taking on such a big project can be daunting but you will not be let down by choosing AllStates.
We had contacted a few landscaping companies and they were the only ones who actually followed through on doing a walk through for the estimate. Jeremy was professional and helpful through out the whole process, taking time to explain things to us and kept us updated on scheduling. The crew of men that did the work were efficient and friendly and did a great job. I would definitely use and recommend them in the future.
The crew did an amazing job. We just moved to the Sandy area and our yard needed a lot of work to look as good as the rest of the neighborhood. We had Allstates come out and they did full cleanup and trimming/pruning of the massively overgrown landscaping, plus removed some dead tress and a couple others we just didnt like. The work crew did a wonderful job and I think the cost was definitely worth the finished product. Communication was a little lacking -- the crew showed up earlier than expected and I wasnt aware when they were coming -- and it took a few extra days of coordination to reschedule getting one additional thing done on a second day. But they handled this well in the end and we are happy.
Had a water feature repair. I required removal of decorative rock, stream rock, liner, reshaping the flow line, adding new liner, replacing the stream rock and decorative rock. They also replaced a portion of the refill supply line and custom fit the line to enter the tank through the side of the pump housing and they repaired the fill bulb (like toilet bulb but bigger) so that it works. They also brought in decorative rock to overlay the liner above the water line so no more soil leaking into the water, Yeah! The crew did a great job! They accomplished the work in one day what if I had tried, and I wouldn’t have, would have taken me all summer a little at a time. The office staff was helpful and kind. All States has a strong reputation for quality and thus they have a lot of work in the summer especially with everyone wanting landscaping work done during the COVID 19 crisis. So, that means, be patient.I am very happy with the work they did!The water feature runs and looks great and better yet it was repaired well so I don’t have to worry about my neighbors getting excess water from my landscaping.Thank you ASL
I requested a quote for Spring cleanup and mulching. They were not responsive and very slow to respond.Jeramy gave me a quote and said they would be ready. I get a call from Jeramy a day before the work is to be done and he said he screwed up and needed to bill me $250 more. I was outraged and he billed me much less. He said he quoted me lower than other companies which was not true, I only went with Allstates because they were the only company that could work that week. They came out and did a mediocre job. They trimmed two trees in my front yard, when I wanted all trees trimmed. They mulched but it was less than an inch when it was agreed they would do at least three inches.I ended up having to have the flower beds remulched.I dont recommend.
Should have read the other reviews. Very dishonest company. Stole my money. Theives.
Very poor response. Though we have followed up several times with Robert for an estimate, He never turned back. Every time he says he will be sending the quote, but never he did it. Poor professionalism.
After having our daughters wedding venue canceled due to Covid-19, we decided to upgrade our yard and have the wedding in our backyard. Robert and his crew were very responsive and provided a bid quickly. Within a week they were out working on our yard and in just over a week, the yard is fully landscaped and looks beautiful! They did an outstanding job to help make our daughters wedding a beautiful occasion. Their guys were polite and hard workers and Robert was easily available whenever I wanted extra bushes, trees or flowers or just had questions. Robert went out of his way to provide all that I wanted to make our yard perfect. Thank you Allstates and thank you Robert and crew!
Our original experiences with the person in charge of the work crew and who gave us our bid was fine. And Stephanie gave us an amazing drawn plan in color for our yard. It included iron pipe handrails on both sides of the stairs for my husband’s safety and independence. It also included a “plain Jane “ pergola over our existing patio pad. The boulder retaining wall that they built was in the drawing...not an add-on. The bid started out at about $12000, half of which I paid for with my entire savings account. The other half I put on a credit card. The next thing I knew, it was jacked up to $17,000. When I got the final statement, which I paid immediately, it was $22,000 and change. We had to take out a second mortgage on our home to pay for it. And after speaking with the original crew manager/sales person, I was told that the handrails they never installed and the pergola were only in the drawing as “possible features.” We had discussed the pergola and handrails NUMEROUS times, and since they were in the drawing (kind of a blueprint for the workers) I assumed it was part of what we were paying for. I was told that they could do a plain pergola....for an extra $10,000. I thought it was illegal (it’s certainly immoral) to perform work amounting to more than a couple hundred dollars on a project this size, without WRITTEN PERMISSION FROM THE OWNER, if it exceeds exceeds the bid or estimate by a few THOUSAND DOLLARS . The crew was wonderful and they did beautiful work. In October they scheduled to come out and winterize my sprinkler system. They came AFTER a fitting was cracked from frozen water. It was warranted, so the repair didn’t cost extra, but they don’t tell you that they are going to charge you $90 for the service. Which I found out today is not optional if you want to protect your warranty. I said to the woman,”You guys are something else. You mean I don’t have a sprinkler warranty if I don’t pay you $90 to do what I did in ten minutes? I already had to take out a second mortgage to pay for the jacked up final bill!” She said, “Are your sprinklers warranted?” I said they were and that I had winterized them myself already to avoid a split fitting again. She said,” So you don’t want to maintain your warranty by paying the $95 for us to turn off your sprinklers?” I told her no, because I had already done it. She said, “Ok then, I’ll document that your warranty is expired.”Do I have a beautiful yard, except for the half dozen plants that died that Ken told me were not warranted? Yes. Would I EVER do business with them again or recommend them? HELL NO!!!! Their business dealings are deplorable and they rip you off, and then give you excuses a 5 year old could see through.DON’T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM...there are plenty of other companies that do beautiful work for probably less to start with....and DEFINITELY less than the “surprise bill” you’ll get by the time they’re done.
Owner is super shady. Took money for entirety of project but abandoned it and left me high and dry.
Dishonest company. Steals money and doesnt call back.
One of the worst experiences with regards to the professionalism they showed. Never responsive on phone, no clear direction, no follow ups and extremely off on commitments, we had to cancel our contract midway due to this. Writing this to help the customers seeking or in two minds to go with this company
This courtyard they put in our backyard has exceeded our expectations in every way. The pavers, brick walls and fire pit along with the pergola and stairs are all done well. The workers were courteous and the foreman always answered his phone. We give them an A .
We have 3/4 Acre lot of landscaping at our home that requires constant attention and detail. We have been very dissatisfied over the last 2 years with the landscaping company that we were contracted with.In June I contacted Allstates Landscaping to come look at my property and get a quote to taking over every aspect of caring for our property. After my initial call Jeremy arrived at my home within 1 day. Within 10 minutes if meeting Jeremy I knew that he was the right fit to take over our contract. In short, the last 2 months of working with Jeremy, Nacho and the rest of their team at Allstate’s has been an absolute pleasure. Their vision, execution and attention to detail is unmatched in the industry. I can honestly say that I feel that they care about my yard as if it was their own.
Professional and thorough company. The retaining block wall work was done with care, theyre good with detail. Robert M. manager was an excellent communicator and understanding with all matters. We are extremely please with results.
Awesome place good service great people and pretty girls to help you.
Robert was great! Not only did he do what he said he would, he did all of it on time and at the amount that was negotiated. He also helped us out by getting us on his schedule super fast because our shed would be installed soon. We will definitely be using Allstates again. Thanks!
When deciding who to go with on a backyard remodel, we went with who our neighbors used which was Allstates Landscaping. They seemed to have done a beautiful job next door. Little did we know the issues that would follow. We had Greg out to do our initial quote. The vibe we got was that our project was insignificant and he seemed disinterested from the start. He was either repeatedly late for appointments, or completely stood us up one of the times. He was very unresponsive to our questions and we never received a final quote before work began. The start date of our project was delayed multiple times and we were never kept in the loop. We reached out to the owner who we were told was to embarrassed to even talk with us about the issues. They then parted ways with Greg and we got Robert to oversee our remodel. We didnt even know it until the project had already started and we had questions and had to ask someone else. When Robert finally introduced himself, we thought we finally had someone who cared and was going to manage our project right. We were dead wrong. Robert is the kind of guy that tells you what you want to hear, but when rubber meets the road, he doesnt honor what he says and instead turns it back on you insinuating that you are the liar. Needless to say we got to the point that we looked at what we could take away from them and finish on our own just to be done with them. Then the final bill came. It was wrong (in our favor). We reached out to them to let them know, but they werent getting it. Finally they corrected it and added costs like $250 for bolder placement (they werent even going to do this even though it was thoroughly discussed with them and it took them 10 minutes to place a couple of boulders and the rest I picked up by hand and placed myself). We did most of the on-site project management and had to continually watch them and have them fix their errors. If we werent doing so, there would have been multiple issues with our concrete pad and stairs. One of the biggest issues we had, is that we had two sets of concrete steps poured coming out of two bay doors. One of the steps coming out of the door had a steeper grade than it should have. When trying to figure out what to do, I reached out to my friend who is a general contractor and he asked if we meant to make the steps not up to code. We were surprised to hear that comment, but we looked into and he was correct; the brand new $3600 concrete steps were not made to code. When we brought this up, Robert said there was nothing they could do and that they were to code. We got documentation from our city showing that it was not to code, but they kept saying it was. This went on for months and we ended up withholding payment for a time until they finally took a little money off. So frustrating to pay professionals that do work that isnt even up to code and then blame you for it. I completely regret going with them and would advise anyone considering them to reconsider. There are more issues that happened, but this seems sufficient to get my point across.
We are so glad we went with All States Landscaping! We obtained several bids from several companies ranging from large outfits to smaller businesses. The President and Owner of the company Ken came to our home and listened to our proposal and gave solid recommendations. We received our bid less than two days later. We had the unique situation in that we had to wait several months for our funds as we were waiting on a small estate. Ken waited through this tough process with us and then when the funds issued he was ready to work less than two weeks later. The project was just finished this week and it looks absolutely amazing! The workers were professional, friendly, had great ideas when small issues arose and their quality is truly unparalleled. Any concerns we had were immediately addressed by Ken and Efrain. We highly recommend All States Landscaping and look forward to many years of enjoyment on our new patio!
I had Allstate’s Landscaping pour a patio pad for me, and it turned out great. I’m very happy with with their service and quality.Robert Messersmith was the lead contractor and great to work with. He was very prompt with responding to my questions.
This is the first time Ive ever written a negative review. I have been so disappointed by Allstates Landscaping that I dont know what else to do. We hired them to finish our backyard. We had them level our backyard and put in grass. A few months after they were finished we noticed two sink holes in the yard. They had not packed the dirt underneath the grass well enough. After contacting them and having them come out to look at it they said it was covered under the warranty and they would fix it. Well its been almost two years now and nothing has been done to fix it. I have called so many times I cant even count and all the missed appointments that they have set with me have been mindboggling. I have texted the owner on so many occasions with promises to come out and fix the yard but nothing gets done. I have heard every excuse in the book from we are on vacation to the company is in dire financial stress that we cant fix it. The owner even texted me and said I am at a conference and I have scheduled your work to get done. Yet almost 2 years later and NOTHING has been done. If I were someone looking for a landscaper I would stay away from Allstates. Their warranty is junk and it means nothing. This is just my experience. I dont want others to go through what Ive gone through.
We hired All States Landscaping for our entire yard installation. We had gotten bids from other companies and were the most impressed with Kens bid. From start to finish, the process was great! We loved meeting with Darren, who met with us for over an hour to ask us all of our goals for our yard and our favorite plants and ones we did not want in our design. He came up with a much better design for our yard than we could imagine! Efrain and Luis did an incredible job building a stone patio, installing sprinklers, and planting our yard. It looks just like the professional design. We love how the whole team went above and beyond to complete our entire yard project. I would recommend Ken and his team to anyone!
Robert was great! Very professional and very knowledgeable about any questions we had. He was also a great help with ideas!
Allstates Landscaping did an awesome job on our front and back yard. Jeremy and his crew worked hard, got the job done and exceeded our expectations. Our yard has never looked better! I would highly recommend them!!
Two thumbs up from us! Ken & his team did a fantastic job with demo & rebuilding of rock retaining walls before weather set in. They were easy to work with and our property looks great...we are excited for spring planting!
I had a bad experience with a small sprinkler repair job last year. I couldnt get the guy to come back out to fix what he did wrong either. Well, he is gone and Robert came out and fixed things perfectly. That is good service - thanks, Robert!
BAD SERVICE!!! DISHONEST!!! THEY TAKE MONEY FROM YOU AND DONT DO THE WORK. READ THE OTHER REVIEWS!!
Update: Still no word back, but not surprised. One of their drivers nearly ran my girlfriend and I over in our apartment complex, then got out and screamed at us for it.Your team employs over-aggressive clowns, and I hope all your potential clients see this avoid them like the plague.
We hired All States Landscaping to remove a jungle area in our backyard and transform it into a fire pit and Xeriscape area. They were very responsive to the request to provide a proposal and listened well to what we wanted. One of my favorite things is they learned that some items had sentimental value to us and they incorporated those items into the design for the area - small water feature, bricks, rocks, flagstones, and a couple of existing trees. Using some of the existing materials saved some money and really added to our satisfaction of the area. The project was just finished and we are very happy with the result. The fire pit works very well and is nice to enjoy with both the fire and the water feature running. All States listened to our concerns during the project and was flexible in adding a few items to the project as it progressed. The work was done very professionally and this area will be a highlight of our yard for many years to come.I am updating my review and taking a star off the original rating.I am updating my review 3 months this after completion of the project. I have now had to dig up existing sprinkler pipes 4 times since I gave my final payment to fix problems that were caused by the project and covered up without being adequately fixed. One of the problems was a pipe connected to my main water supply header that was buried without being capped. The other problems were in sprinkler pipes damaged while laying a gas line to the fire pit. Several pipes were cracked or damaged and covered up without repair. We love the visible portion of the project and I would probably hire Allstate again, but I would watch their work much closer on the non-visible work that eventually gets covered up. I can still recommend their work, but also recommend that you watch them very closely to avoid similar problems.
Great company, top quality work!!!
We are very happy with the professional landscaping project completed by All States Landscaping. The designer did a great job of drawing a plan that helped us visualize what the finished landscape would look like and we were able to work from that drawing to stay on plan. Ken Doyle was very professional and honorable throughout our project. He exceeded our expectations on the quality and size of the shrubs and trees. They are all very beautiful and healthy. All States also reconfigured our sprinkler system so we have drip irrigation on the trees and shrubs. We chose this company because we trusted their sprinkler expertise. The crew was also professional and efficient with their work. They were very accommodating with any additional requests or adjustments we asked for. We did a large project with them that included plants, trees, a retaining wall, flagstone patio and a basketball pad. We now have a beautiful yard that is lower maintenance than it was in the past. Thank you All States Landscaping for being so easy to work with and creating a beautiful paradise for us to live in.
We hired Allstates to add sod, sprinklers and concrete to our large backyard. We now have a beautiful lawn and bike area our kids can play on. The owner Ken really tried make sure I was happy with the job. HOWEVER, I will say their warranty isnt worth much. I called them out multiple times to show a brown strip of dead grass by my house, in the area where they laid sprinklers. They couldnt get that part watered enough no matter what they tried. So ultimately, the warranty was worthless to me.
We recently had our yard landscaped by AllState and we are very pleased with the results. Ken has a great team that knows what they are doing and their work is top quality. They were great about working with me during the project to make sure everything met our needs, and to make adjustments when necessary. It was great to be able to get a plan drawn up for us so we could visualize the project and make changes to a few things. Then Kens team executed the plan very well. We appreciated that Ken then did a final walk through with us to ensure everything was done to our satisfaction and answer any questions that we had.I would highly recommend Allstates to anyone wanting to have quality work done in their yard.
We hired Allstates Landscaping to help us with a backyard project of removing some unnecessary fencing, moving garden boxes and pouring concrete for a basketball court. Everything looks great, but what was most appreciated was the level of communication. I had a hard time even getting other landscaping companies to follow through with sending me a bid, but Ken and Efrain were accessible and communicated through the whole project, making sure we were happy and clarifying expectations when necessary. We will be making some other changes to our landscaping in the spring and I look forward to working with them again.
I hired All States Landscaping to turn my eyesore backyard in to a peaceful enjoyable oasis for my family. We wanted low maintenance but an appealing clean looking backyard. Boy did they deliver. I opened my back door after they finished and WOW my backyard looks fantastic. Just what I asked for.
We built a new retirement home in West Jordan a few months ago and wanted it to be ready to live in from the beginning. We hired Allstates to do our landscaping. The process began with a professional landscape architect sitting on the front porch with my wife. The two of them had a grand time saying “what about this”, or “what about that” – “don’t you think the such and such would be nice.” They giggled and had a grand time and came up with an amazing plan that included sitting porches in both the front and back yards, a raised bed vegetable garden, stone path, vinyl fence on top of a footing, a water feature and fire pit, and a small tool shed. All of this garnished with dozens of plants and trees. It is BEAUTIFUL! We are very satisfied and unequivocally recommend Allstates. Please note that the process took longer than we originally hoped; they didn’t start the day after we shook hands, it was a few weeks. When they did come they showed up in force We had four to eight workers every day for a couple of weeks. They showed up on time and worked hard every day. They respected our neighbors’ properties and kept the work site clean. The project did cost a lot of money but we feel like we got what paid for which was exactly what we wanted.
They really have an eye for the project. They were fast, fair, and did a GREAT JOB. The staff were all very hard working and knew exactly what they were doing. We thought we knew what we wanted but when they saw the space they showed us another MUCH BETTER idea--we could not be happier. I would say trust them--they do a great job when allowed to do their work within your framework. They came up with an amazing space, finished under budget and way before the deadline.
We built a new home about two years ago and decided it was time to finish the backyard. We knew a few things we wanted in our outdoor living space but we were unsure where they should go, what to accompany them, and how to put it all together. So I decided to contact several landscaping company and when I talked with All States Landscaping everything just felt right. Ken was out to see our yard that same day and spent as much time with us as we needed answering questions and providing advice. We were so impressed with Ken that we decided to stop looking at other companies and start moving forward with our new back yard. We could not be happier with the process and the results. Ken sent out a landscaping architect to draw up some official plans and to make sure we were happy with how and where things were placed. Ken worked hard to keep our project within our budget and his crew was prompt, polite, and always cleaned up after themselves. We went from having a field full of weeds to the envy of the neighborhood. Since we are on a corner lot we still dont have a fence on the street side and at least five neighbors have stopped by asking us not to put in a fence because of how much they like looks at the yard. Even our back neighbor, where there is a fence separating us from them, has asked if we could put a gate between our yards:-)We could not be more impressed with the professionalism and work quality of All States Landscaping, I would recommend them to anyone! Thanks Ken,David Simeon Aguirre
They were very responsive to our request for a bid and worked with us on refining the desired work to fit within our budget. Completed our front yard project in one day. We will use them again on landscaping projects in the future.
I had Allstate Landscaping redo the beds in the front of my house and install a water feature. They were very dependable and stayed on the job until it was completed to my satisfaction. they were professional, courteous and solictious of my desires. I absolutely love my water feature. the sound is mesmerizing and calming after a day of work. My front flower beds are manicured, colorful, and drought tolerant. I highly recommend them for any of your outdoor needs. They have rock fire pits that are magnificent and will be my next purchase!
Our yard is amazing! All States Landscaping did a great job from our first visit with Ken to their last day of work here. The free design was professionally done and the final result was awesome! Our yard started as nothing but dirt & turned into the best yard in the neighborhood. They will do everything you need done to keep you happy with price matching and a 1 year warranty on everything. Go ahead and meet with other landscapers, but I m sure you ll choose this one.
We are very happy with the work that Allstates provided us with. They built a vinyl fence, poured concrete, and built a huge beautiful awning for our backyard. The work was fast, and very efficient. Mauricio was a great guy to work with as well, he made sure to give us all our options. Thanks Allstates Landscaping!!
Wanted a maintenance free front yard and All States Landscaping delivered. Very professional and efficient. Cleared shrubs, prepped soil, and put down a ton of rock; all in less than a week. The job site was cleaned and presented on completion. Looks great! Will definitely recommend to others and use them again.
We used Allstates from start to finish on our backyard landscaping. They were great to work with and made sure the design was just right. The installation crews were quick and did good work. We did get a bit delayed on account of rain, but thats not their fault. We are very pleased with the result and would use them again in the future.
When we built our new home, the basement was not excavated deep enough, which resulted in major sloping on three sides. We didnt know what to do for a yard. We called Allstates Landscaping because we loved the work they had done on a house not far from us. Ken sent a landscape architect to meet with us and create a plan for our yard. We explained our concerns; the architect listened and created an amazing yard plan. Then Kens crew got to work implementing the plan. Our yard is fabulous! We are so thrilled with the result. Our raised garden beds, water feature, landscape lighting, and fire pit are all beautiful extras that we really appreciate, in addition to all the basics in our yard. We highly recommend Allstates Landscaping.
I appreciated that Allstates actually returned our call, came, and gave us an estimate (I had no idea that was a difficult thing). Ken was good to work with and he had some great ideas to help make our backyard work for us. His employees were on time and polite. We did have some communication issues, but Ken came out to our house and sit down to figure it all out. He really wanted us to be happy with our yard--and it is beautiful! They did a great job!
Ken and his team know their craft. Very honest and trustworthy. Ken has a passion for what he does and it shows in his work. Ken and the Allstates team will take great care of you.
We have a beautiful yard thanks to All States Landscaping. We bought a new home and we needed an extension to our driveway, fencing and landscaping. After several bids we chose All States because they seemed most professional and they were able to meet all of our needs at a competitive price. Ken Doyle came to our home and shared wonderful ideas for our yard. He had a professional landscape design drawn up for us and we loved all the creativity and uniqueness. They were quick to respond and the work was completed in a timely manner. The quality was exceptional and everything that was done exceeded our expectations. We love the one year warranty on everything and we are excited for Spring to come so we can enjoy watching all the plantings come to life. Thank you All States! We will recommend you to everyone!
I am very impressed with All State Landscaping. I have known Ken Doyle for a few years now. And I have never met anyone who knows as much about every aspect of landscaping as Ken. If you have any landscaping needs or question Ken is your man.
I have had nothing but problems with Allstate Landscaping. I had scheduled a free estimate and they texted me 30 minutes after the appointment to tell me they couldnt make it and asked to reschedule for the next day. I responded and informed them I could however I only have a certain time frame. No response back. I ended up calling to confirm and finally they told me that it was rescheduled, thanks for confirming an hour before the new appointment. The came through and took measurements and walked through what we wanted to do with no problems. This was a month and a half ago and I still cannot get a price. I have called multiple times and been told the person building the estimate is in a meeting and will get back to me or i get a hold of him and he cant remember what happened to it and again would get back to me. Surprise, still have no quote and no response from Allstate. If this is the service we get from a FREE estimate, I dont want to know the kind of time frame or work that they would do if we hired them!
Awesome value! All States did a beautiful job of our yard, sticking to a budget and following our direction with advice when needed. We received fencing, sprinklers, trees, tree removal, debris removal, and new sod for exactly what we agreed to. The few extra things we asked as the project was proceeding was provided at a low price. There were a few things that we asked to be changed and they just corrected it without a question.I will certainly use and recommend them.
Great experience. Mauricio was awesome to deal with from start to finish making sure we were completely happy. The crew had great attention to detail. They turned our yard into a beautful place to relax.
All States Landscaping Designers came to our home and helped us to put together a beautiful new backyard with all new bushes, perennials, ground cover and an amazing water feature. We knew exactly how our yard would look by the time they left. Once all were agreed as to what would be done a timeframe was set. I want to thank Lance and Ken for all their help. And the crew who were able to not only start almost 3 weeks early, but finished everything in just a week. Both Lane and I love our new yard. We highly recommend All States Landscaping and would not hesitate to use their services again.
All States did it all! We had All States do some extensive landscaping for our new home which included a large cement RV pad and retaining wall, a basement walkout, walkways, vinyl fencing, sprinklers and sod, and numerous planter beds including a meditative garden on the side of the house! We had one stop shopping with All States! They handled everything, coordinating all of the projects! The cement work was excellent. The walkout was both functional and ornamental. They figured out how to handle having the walkout and the nearby window. They even cut the door and installed it for us. It really looks terrific! The fencing and gate are sturdy and well designed so we can remove the middle gate post and open both gates up to allow vehicles to get through to the back of the RV pad. The meditative garden is all we had hoped it would be! We were very particular about the plants, bushes, and trees and All States found them all for us! They showed us how to work the sprinkler system which included both regular sprinklers and a drip system for the planter areas. And when we needed to bring down the overall cost of the project, Ken sat down with us and helped us figure out what things we could do cheaper and achieve the same look and what things we could wait on and do at a later date, leaving “place holders” for. We couldn’t be more pleased and plan on using All States for future projects!
My yard is beautiful. Exactly what I wanted. Once i was on the schedule things really were done quickly. I had large planter boxes made out of cinder block that turned out amazing. All states was very knowledgable and great to work with. I would recommend them and the design process they use is great. Makes the job run smooth!
Called for a bid on doing a rock drive back to my shed on 6/24/18. A gentleman came out on 6/29 and measured for my drive. He said he would have me a quote by the end of the day. It is now 7/5/2018 and not a word. Guess they don’t want the business. Moving on.
A Job well done!We went with Allstates because their bid came in the same as others but they included a professional plan of the landscaping. The landscaping engineer who came out to meet with us did such a good job of reading our style and suggesting things we would like. The picture is amazing and really helped us see what we wanted. They have finished now and our yard looks amazing and everyone always compliments us on it. There were a few set backs but they were dealt with professionally and overall we are very satisfied with the results.Update: Couldnt find anyone to pour our extended driveway before the cold hits and the fence company we had gone with messed up our gates and kept blowing us off. Called Allstates, they came out and did a great job on our driveway. And they fixed our gates. They are professional, both the employees and materials. They came quickly and went above and beyond.
All States did a fantastic job with our yard. It was done very well and I know we will not have problems with it in the future. We had some large retaining walls to be put in as well as a sunken fire pit. All were very well done. The crew was respectful and when they left it was cleaner than when they arrived! If I had questions I would text Ken and my concerns were addressed the following day. Thank you All States!
We really liked the photos of the landscapes All States has worked on and was worried that our yard may have been too small and they wouldnt do it. Ken came right over and we were able to come up with a design and something that worked for us. He did exactly what we wanted in a reasonable time. He made our back yard look bigger and the decorative concrete was exactly what I imagined. I would definitely recommend All States to do any Utah landscaping project!
I was very happy with Allstates landscaping. I loved that I received a professional rendered drawing to keep of our yard for free! That was so helpful for me to be able to visualize everything. Ken and his team was very quick to answer emails, phone calls and texts, which is unheard of in a landscaping company unfortunately. They also have a receptionist you can call, which is unheard of! I loved being about to ask questions and check up on things and the receptionist was there 8-5! So wonderful! Allstates was the best price and the value was very exceptional. When they layed the sod they were removing little rocks, clumps of dirt and making sure it was flat and level and removing any other debri that was in the way. I was so surprised by that! The sod was such a great quality too. I also loved going over to Allstates landscaping to pick out my pants. That was a really cool feature you dont get with most landscaping companies. They had unique and interesting plants, mature trees and I loved seeing what my plants would look like in person. Very great experience and we love our yard! I would highly recommend this company!
I like these guys. They have great service and are prompt to answer questions and any concerns. I would definitely use them again.
Working with Allstate Landscaping was great! They did exactly what we wanted. I loved that we were able to start as soon as I was ready and got to see a drawing of what it would all look like! When getting quotes Allstate was the only one who didn’t leave things out which was wonderful. We ran into issues with the fence company and Allstate was there for me to fix those issues immediately. The crew was great and cleaned up any messes before they would leave for the day which was awesome. I would totally recommend giving them a call.
After having a horrible experience with our first landscaper, Mauricio and Luis with All States Landscaping saved the day! They redesigned and repaired our mess and turned our yard into something we can be proud of. They (and their crew)were professional, reliable and on time every single day of the 2 week process. I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend All States Landscaping and owe a huge thank you to the crew that worked on our yard!
Awesome, awesome company to work with. Id recommend Mauricio any day of the week... great experience working with him.
They satisfied all my requests and did a better job than what I had in mind. Ken is an expert and has an eye for creating beauty. He asked what I would like done, he created a wish list for me and surprisingly he was able to do a lot more than what I thought I could do with the budget I had. Vey satisfied!
After 9 years of adding large bark mulch to our yard, we needed a complete overhaul. MIke with All States provided us with a plan to remove all the old mulch, haul it away and replace it with new mulch. The transformation is incredible! We are so happy with our new yard and pleased it was done in such a professional and timely manner. We would definitely call All States again for future landscaping needs.
Some of the worst work done by a contractor I have ever experienced. Element after element has failed and Ken has refused to correct them. We have had to track him down over and over. With so many other amazing Landscaping companies out there, beware of this one and use others. Though he is personable, Ken does not stand by his word nor work. Dont be fooled.
They completed a patio for us. The work was really good and professional. The installers were helpful and gave us good information. Very friendly and answered our questions. Price was fair and so was communication. In general, a good experience.
All States Landscape is amazing at creating beautiful yards. A fantastic landscape architect came out first to go over the plans. He had extensive knowledge concerning the best types of trees, shrubs, flowers etc. in consideration of our lot. He was also very artistic when designing our walkway options, retaining walls and shaping a patio with pavers. Their crew is more than capable. They did a beautiful job with the pavers, retaining walls, water feature, sprinkler system, laying sod, and planting all the various flowers, shrubs and trees etc. I would highly recommend them to anyone!
Nice staff, good selection fun atmosphere and reasonably priced.
We contacted Allstates Landscaping to get a quote for redesigning our backyard. I cant remember the gentlemans name that came out, but he seemed nice enough. He took down our ideas, gave suggestions, and told us the quote would take 1 week. It has now been a month, and we havent heard a word from them. My husband has tried calling, but no one ever answers the phone. So, we left a message...no call back. I dont know what the issue is or why they never got back with us. Unless you have the patience of Joab and want to hunt them down to get anything done, I suggest you look elsewhere for a landscaping company.
They did a good job and delivered what was promised. Nice rock water features and their employees were friendly and hard working. Schedule them with enough time to get to your job as they do get busy. Chris
The job looks great!
Great company with a great staff. Purchased a tree from them and it is now the center piece to our yard. Love our tree!
We asked All States Landscaping for doing a patio, a shed pad, curbing and a water feature at our new home in Lehi. We learned about the company through a referral - they worked on a yard in the same neighborhood before, the final result looked very good, so we decided to give them a try.Compared to other landscapers (and we had some very bad experiences before), All States employees and subcontractors were outstanding. The job was done on time, the quality was very good, and the crews were responsive to our concerns and suggestions - some input from us was unavoidable since they were working next to already installed improvements. The bottom line: All States Landscaping hires competent, responsible workers, and we highly recommend this company.
All states landscape completed the job on time. The rough idea I had was turned into reality by Maricio. Changes mid project w/o delay in schedule. Best company ever.
Great work at a fair price. They were very responsive and did quality work. We are very pleased with the project.
The lead designer created a very pleasing layout for our backyard, the actual installation was done on time and in a quality way. Communication sometimes needed some persistence, but we were in a schedule bind and they got it done as promised. Included design, sod, mulch and hardscape, plantings, and pergola.
I built my home 9 years ago and never really did anything in my backyard. I hate going back there because my patio was too small, my sprinklers were set up wrong, the grass looked bad and I needed a place to put my trash cans. All States Landscaping just added a new carport, fixed my sprinklers, added an additional sidewalk and fixed my grass. Since that time, weve had parties and find we are using our yard a whole lot more. We now have a yard that we are proud of using and arent embarrassed. All States came in quickly and did a great job!
