I can’t say enough about the team at Utley and Dallas in particular. They’ve gone to bat for me with insurance companies, helped me with large repairs on both my BMW and Audi. Hes fair with his pricing and is willing to go the extra mile as if he was the owner of the car. To top it off Dallas was willing to help me out when I tried a simple brake pad repair on my own and got in over my head. If I had 6 stars to give I would. I really appreciate these guys!

I was blown away at the excellent Service that I received on a pretty minor job. It was quick to get an answer, very reasonably priced to get it done, and they had it turned around in one day. It was by far the most pleasant experience I’ve had with any service place in a very long time. I can highly recommend and while I don’t wish to crash my vehicle :-) I do hope to bring lots of business to these folks again and will tell everyone I know to use them.

Dallas worked on my manual transmission X5 and my e46 330xi. My front differential needed to be replaced and they helped me locate a used one that came with a one year warranty.. The work was done right the first time and on time. This shop is very busy so plenty of planning is needed to get your car in line. But he is worth it. Dallas runs an incredibly honest and competent shop.

Utley’s is the place to go for all things BMW - hands down. I used to have my BMWs serviced at the local dealership. What I love about Utleys: very honest, great prices, amazing service, and they get to know their customers. If they say your car needs something - it needs it. They will definitely tell you if your car doesn’t need something.Example: My M3 rear differential was binding on tight turns. Many people online when experiencing the same issue replaced their diff completely (expensive). Utley’s proactively found a service bulletin that suggested swapping out the diff fluid with a specific type made to solve this problem. We tried it. It worked. They saved me A LOT of money.Example: On December 24, 2019, I had a check engine light pop on. I pulled into their parking lot right when they were closing. Dallas Utley kept the shop open, drove my car in, looked at the issue and personally fixed it... for free. (It ended up being a turbo vacuum hose that needed to be replaced). I tried to pay him, but he said “Consider it a Christmas gift. Merry Christmas.”Example (one of my first experiences w/ Utley’s): I had Utley’s change my oil and check out my M3 convertible top frame (soft top). I was expecting them to charge me $200-$300 to check the top out and adjust it... because that is what the dealership told me it would cost. I paid for the oil change... and Utley’s found no issues with my convertible top frame and did not bill me for checking it out. I cant express how cool these people were and how good they were on their repairs not to mention how fast and how accurate. They knew exactly what part I needed exactly how long it would take and gave me a quote over the phone. They knew that the water pump that I had given them was just shy in size as I told them but they also identified immediately What model and that part was not for my vehicle. They also changed my hose with an overnight shipping for the part and didnt charge me in an arm and a leg for it either. 👍way to be thorough guys! After deciding to get the repair done they charge me LESS than another person who messed me over (didnt do the job And charged anyway!) I am so impressed with their customer service skills and the way that they addressed my issues. They also expressed sympathy with the fact that I was messed over by another company. Overall, Utleys provided exactly what I needed, so no complaints there. Dallas and AJ are polite and easy to work with and are straightforward.I have an aftermarket auto warranty, so my situation was a bit different than for most folks, Im sure. We had to coordinate between the warranty company and the shop in order to the repair done. The nice is thing it was all covered by the warranty company!Utleys also kindly checked a few things at our request that were unrelated to the repair, so we have confidence going forward in what to address next.Im a neat freak, so when I saw Utleys waiting room, I was pretty happy! It was clean, well organized, and had plenty of car related magazines to read. In fact, their work shop is even clean!

Ive now had two incredible service experiences with Utleys, and at this point I dont hesitate for a second to take my 2006 Audi A3 to them. Their pricing is more than fair and they do whatever it takes to put the customer first. They get to my car quickly, they are great communicators (they listen and clearly explain whats going on), and most importantly they are honest. In my second visit, after diagnosing the problem, they helped me save thousands of dollars by suggesting I contact Audi customer service to see if a service bulletin / recall existed even though my car was well out of the standard warranty. Turns out the repair I needed was covered by Audi and the dealership ultimately made the repair. Utleys is the auto repair shop everybody wants to have, and is the one you keep for life when you finally find it.

My parents actually drove their car over 400 miles just to get it fixed from Dallas last time because he is someone we trust. Great guys to work with. I had them replace the turbo on my 2015 Audi A4. The car kept having underboost issues afterwards and they kept working on it till they go to the bottom of the issue. And they didnt charge me anything for the extra work they did on the car. Highly recommend them!!!

I took my Audi A6 to get an oil leak fixed about a year ago and the leak never stopped, then few months later i took it back because the oil the was getting into the electrical and it was making my computer to turn lights on my dash i talked to the guys asking to get the oil leak fixed again they told me they will clean the area and put dye in the oil and they said that it was the rear main seal i opted to get it fixed even the high cost to get it fixed they said it will be ready in two days which it turn into a 5 day repair because they had to order special bolts from the dealer, which i wasnt to happy about since its my wifes only car. Aj said he was going to give some type of discount for the inconvenience but it never happened i ended paying full price for the repair. On the second day that i had driven my car i noticed a few drops of oil in my garage floor, i called them talked to Aj said i was probably residue oil left on the car but the oil stain got bigger and bigger. I took the car back to get it checked out and i was told it was leaking from somewhere else which the cost was $350 i didnt left my car at that time because we didnt have an spare car. I took the car a month later and now they are saying that its the upper oil pan seal which the cost its over 3,000 dlls totally different from what i have told before so i took the car to a different shop for a second opinion and they told me it looked like it was coming from the rear main seal so i went back to utleys trying to talked to Dallas (the owner) which Aj told me that Dallas had worked on my car i wanted to talked to him so we could discussed the problem on my car because i feel they were just guessing where the oil leak was coming from, since oil can leak through anywhere and can make it looked like its coming from parts that are totally fine so after three weeks of waiting for a phone called from Dallas i decided to go get my car back since i runned out of patience and they didnt showed any interest to get back to me or fixed my car, when i went to pick up my car Dallas was there and all he said was a hello again he didnt show any interest of discussing my problem or explain why he didnt called me so i asked for my keys he handed over to me with nothing to say.

Easily one of the best experiences I have ever had, I am a 16 year old that attends Corner Canyon high school and I had a problem with changing my shift knobs (audi a4 2016) and it was basically broken and sketchy to drive until I made a call to Utleys European Auto Repair and they said I could drop by and they would take a look at it, even though they were booked up! I drove there instantly after school and got a situation that was impossible to me to do, handled within moments. These guys easily have the best customer service and care around and I strongly recommend going to them vs any other dealership/auto repair shop for car troubles you may encounter not only for quality, but one of the greatest service experiences you will ever encounter. 5/5 stars, easily.

This guy is a Unicorn!!! Mechanical auto repair and Honest dont usually go together. He is absolutely honest, knowledgeable, and has the ability to listen. He refuses to replace parts one after the other until the problem goes away. He takes his time to make sure he properly diagnoses the problem. The only other person on earth that compares to Dallas in this industry is my father and he is retired and he is retired... I have sent at least a dozen of my friends to him and they all feel the same way. European or not, this is the place... see what I did there :)

Honestly, with the make and model of my car (Mini Cooper), I usually can expect things to go wrong and when they do, Ive never paid less than around $400. I work at Smiths and the first things my employer trained me on were customer service and making it right. Utleys has done just that when something broke driving on the freeway. I thought it was my belt but they took an look, saw a bolt came loose, and promptly replaced it. I originally went to Jakes just next door and even they referred me to here.

It is a rare day when you enjoy your auto service call!! I hate to say it--but as a woman, I dread auto repairs because I know nothing about engines and realize they could tell me anything relating the the problem, and I would have no choice but to believe them. I often times feel like I paid for extra that probably wasnt necessary...but when you dont know, theres not much of a choice. Fast forward to my Utleys experience. I took my husbands Mercedes in for a quick repair that was non-mechanical. I ended up speaking to Dallas and he said he had seen the problem before and then proceeded to let me know other things he had seen this on this car consistently (very helpful for me). I left my car with him for a couple of hours and I got a call back with an explanation of the repairs work done. It had to have taken an hour (minimum). My charge? Nothing. WHAT? Does he not know he very fairly could charge me for at least an hour of service? Does he not know what other auto specialists know--that Im a woman (smart but with no mechanical experience!) who has no idea--so he could probably charge me double and I wouldnt blink an eye? I have never been treated so well--and you better believe when I have a problem with my car, Ill run, not walk to Utleys. Dallas has both my confidence and my complete trust!!! Edit:Rethought some things and decided Utleys is definitely a five star shop that earns their five star reviews.Utleys called me back to inform me they got me another gas cap! They mentioned that nobody in their shop had been to that area of the car, so who knows? At least its not my problem :).They also mentioned that the turbo wasnt installed wrong, but just a hose got pinched causing pressure issues. In any case, it was an extra week and a half I had to wait to get my car back. Oh well, it wasnt anything major.They also explained that a lot of the time delays were spent being thorough and ensuring the exact problem is fixed rather than guessing about it. I suppose I prefer this approach as opposed to my last mechanics approach, and will accept it rather than criticize it. Therefore, Ive written this edit to better convey my impressions of Utleys.My overall experience, despite being slow, proves that Utleys is more interested in keeping customers and ensuring that peoples problems are 100% solved, rather than the bottom line profit. Its extremely hard to find a shop that does business like that.Ill definitely be coming back to Utleys whenever I have a problem with either of my Minis.Old review:Really want to give these guys five stars, however, a four would be more appropriate.I bought a car out of state that was having issues with the turbo. I had already taken it to a different mechanic for this same issue three different times, ended up spending a bunch of money without the problem getting fixed, so I decided to switch to Utleys since they have super great reviews.The staff was amazing and pleasant to work with. Super great all around.However, the service was very slow. My car was in their shop for about an entire calendar month. It took them ~8 days to even diagnose the problem and propose a repair, another week to order parts and perform the repair, and then another week and a half to determine that they accidentally did the repair wrong and needed to redo it.This gratefully wasnt a huge burden for me as I have another car that I can drive (albeit the transmissions dying on my other car), but it was definitely still less than ideal, as I just bought the car and really wanted to enjoy it.However, at least it wasnt like the last mechanic, where I was in and out of their shop 3 times, spent a bunch of money, and never got a resolution.Utleys was responsible enough to be thorough, and properly test everything, and make sure that my car came back to me in working order -- and it was. My check engine light went away, and never came back. The cars been driving smoothly ever since. Im happy. They even gave me a little bit of a discount for the nightmare my car caused at their shop.With all the hours of labor they spent working on it, Im fairly certain they lost money on serving me (or maybe broke even), but they didnt make me pay the difference, which I greatly appreciate.All in all, it wasnt exactly a win-win for me nor Utleys, but the car got fixed eventually and everything turned out okay.Only other complaint is that when I got my car back the cord that attaches my gas cap to my car was cut, so I could possibly end up misplacing my gas cap now. The cord was fine before taking it to Utleys. No idea what thats all about, but whatever. I had been trying to fix my car for like a month and a half and definitely didnt want to drag it out any further over something as stupid as a gas cap.In short: my experience was rocky, but Utleys assumed all responsibility and didnt transfer any of the burden over to me. They were honest, and reasonably priced, and even though it took long, my problem was fixed.Id definitely recommend Utleys, as Im sure my experience was more an anomaly than what usually goes on over there.

Did a fantastic job on my BMW

I bought a used 2008 Z4 3.0si from a local SLC dealer recently and after a few weeks, I discovered that the auto leveling headlight on the passenger side was not functioning properly. I called Utleys and spoke with Dallas, he said stop by and he would look at it. I stopped after work and Dallas performed a few diagnostic tests on the onboard computer system and then put the car on the rack. After a little digging into the rear of the headlamp, he discovered that a connector for the headlamp was disconnected. He plugged it in and all worked as designed. Amazing troubleshooting! Very professional and with a degree that is a lost art in the automotive service profession. I knew instantly that he knew what he was doing. I am no longer looking for a shop to service my Z4 ... Dallas will get all of my business! Thanks Dallas!

Dallas the owner is a Stand up guy, he is the most honest Mechanic out there .Dallas has worked on a couple of my cars and he has done a Great job for me .I would recommend everyone out there too give him a shot you will love Utleys there Great !!

Utley’s listened to me, made me heard, and fixed the problem on my a6 in a matter of minutes. They did this outside of normal business hours too. A week prior, the Audi dealer was quoting me in the thousands for parts and labor for the same problem. Customer for life.

Both Dallas & AJ were great to work with. I have a 1998 Audi A4 Quattro that was in bad need of its rear wheel bearing replaced. Our daughter drives the car but most importantly she shuttles our 14 year to school everyday so going a few days without the car creates a big mess for us.Utleys stayed late to get the car completed so we never had to worry about how we were going to get everyone to school. To me that says a lot on how they treat their customers even if it was our first time there. I will for sure be coming back for any future repairs.Ronald Woerner

If you are sick and tired of having to go to the dealer for your European car maintenance and repair you are not alone. Dallas has been working on my BMWs for years and I love the honest quality work he does. My first experience with him was on a 2006 BMW X3. He presented all the parts that were replaced to me when I paid and explained why they had to be replaced. I also found out that he is a certified BMW mechanic. I also own a 2008 BMW 335xi that runs like a champ. Dallas installed new injectors, battery and performed regular maintenance and code reading for me. Repairs were always done fast and most importantly I got a WAY BETTER DEAL that the dealer would have given me. I had some rotors fail after less than 1 year and Dallas put new ones on at a discounted rate. He also got the rotors replaced for free from his supplier. I feel good about paying an honest quality mechanic that cares about my car rather than an overpriced dealership where most of the money goes into the owners pocket and not the mechanics pocket. Take your BMW, Porsche, Mercedes, VW, Audi, Rover or Volvos to UTLEYS EUROPEAN AUTO REPAIR for honest quality work and a WAY BETTER PRICE THAN the dealer.

I took my Audi A4 2009 for some repairs and ever since they have been the only ones to touch my car. I drive 53 miles just for an oil change, thats how much i trust these guys. its very hard to find hard a trustworthy mechanic nowadays. if you have an european car i wouldnt recommend you taking it to another place that its not utleys,trust me, these people are professionals at what they do.

Took my BMW in to get repaired. I was receiving all sorts of alarms after the battery died such as - anti disc break failure, flat tire, rear light failure etc. I assumed this was because the battery drained but I was not positive. I had previously taken my car to them before but had forgot about them as I have not had many issues with my car. I had my wife take the car to some othe places in Draper and was getting all sorts of estimates. Thousands of dollars and I would need to do this and that. I took it to Utleys after I did research on where I went last time and they did not dissapoint. I left them my car and picked it up a few hours later and I was expecting to see a lengthy bill. I went to grab the car and said how much and they told me nothing. I said no that cant be right. He said nothing was wrong they tested the items and reset them and did not charge me for it. The only condition was I bring my car into him the next time I have an issue. Not only will I do it the next time but these guys have a customer for life as long as I have the car. Even the last time when I was charged I was very pleased with the cost and service they provide. I will be taking my car into them every time I have an issue.
