My experience with Jakes Auto was more than fantastic. Their motto is The friendliest little repair shop in Draper and boy do they mean it! Those working up front were so kind and personable. The issue with my car was unique and they were open to all repair options. They also have a very unique diagnosing system where pictures, videos, and descriptions from the mechanic come straight to you. This provided a sense of confidence and clarity that these guys knew what they were doing and werent trying to sneak a couple extra bucks out of my pocket. I would suggest Jakes to everyone!

Amazing service. We were traveling from out of town and they took our car right in and did all they could to get our repairs done before we had to leave. Though we ended up having to rent a car to still get to our family reunion, Monica met us on a Sunday afternoon after we got back in town so we could pick up the car after all repairs and maintenance was completed. Jakes is the “go to” for repairs on my Tundra. They carefully diagnosed the problems and scheduled a timely fix. Crystal finds ways to keep costs low - by searching other sources for parts than the dealer and by checking into parts that could be warranted. Did a lot of research to find out the best place to take our vehicle for repair and Jakes came out near the top of our list. Called all the shops at the top of our list to get a feel for things and get estimates.How did they win me over? It was the outstanding, professional, clear, and competent communication from Crystal that sealed it for us. She is so good and so professional.Upon arrival the service write up experience was straightforward. The service quoting was clear and easy to understand.When it came time to pay, we had a minor mix up with the pricing vs estimate on our bill that was solved professionally and appropriately. No big deal.They stand behind their work for 3 years, which seems rare to me, and a nice benefit. Im pleased we went to Jakes and think you would have a similar experience.

Best customer service! We needed the A/C fixed on a 2005 Ford Excursion in preparation for a long trip from UT to FL. They were able to get us in and out in less than 3 hrs! Excellent communications since we had to move the appointment and they still got it fixed. Highly recommended!!!

Impressively, they did a complimentary inspection of my vehicle after preforming the alignment that I came in for. I was informed that my serpentine belt was cracking (which I was previously unaware of, so I was thankful for them bringing that to my attention). They also reminded me that my vehicle was expiring this month. I was very happy and very impressed with their honesty when I watched how they worked with another customer as well. 10 out of 10! I was referred to Jakes Auto in 2005-2006 & they are the only place I have gone for car repairs since that referral. This time around I thought it was my alternator but it turned out it was a totally random thing that was draining my battery which was a relief since it was less than half the cost I was expecting. I appreciate how friendly & professional everyone is - Monica always treats me like a VIP & she is extremely knowledgeable - she manages to reduce my anxiety while offering encouragement & positivity. I didnt meet Dustin in person but he figured out the issue quickly & I had my car back sooner than I expected which was fantastic. Similar to a previous visit I had with a different vehicle, they were very detailed in their explanation of my repair. I am not accustomed to this level of transparency when dealing with car repair places. I will take all of my vehicles to Jakes in the future.

The crew at Jake’s in Draper are stellar. I had an annoying exhaust leak on my Ford and they fixed it perfectly. It did take two days more than projected, but the job is large and tedious and it wasn’t a surprise their potentially could be a delay. Overall the price was comparable to other shops, but I feel performed in a more professional and documented manner. Their post repair inspection is great. You get a link to a webpage describing all the things they see that you car needs and it’s level of urgency. I know my breaks are good for a few hundred more miles and the alignment is slightly out of toe front, but it’s tolerable and they didn’t push to get me back in for those items.Truck runs great now, and I know if something isn’t right their two year warranty on the service completed covers the work.Give them a chance, they are the best.Thank you;Bryan P.

They did a very thorough pre purchase inspection for me. Since I was out of state I relied heavily upon their opinion of the vehicle. Drove over a thousand miles since with no issues very happy with the job they did. A reasonable price for what they did as well.

JAKES was highly recommended in my area. Unfortunately they have a waiting list and could not even look at my car for a couple of days.. reason for the low score. BUT they also referred me to a really great mechanic shop just down the street from them and I was able to get my car in that moment. And I paid 1/3 of the (Jakes) quoted price. So it helped me out immensely. Will still keep JAKES in mind for the future. Prices seem fairly competitive but on the high side of things and be prepared it may take days for them to get to it. But I have heard nothing but good things about the quality of their service through other locals.

This Auto is my to go to repair, inspect, and tune my car! Recently, I relocated to DC. Of course, I wanted to stop at this Auto Shop for the entire car inspection to ensure that the trip will be safe and smooth.Its concluded that the trip was very and very smooth! No problem at all as what they have predicted with my cars body and engine, especially that my car is made in 2006 and has 138k miles. This is still my to-go for my cars check up if I were to relocate back to Utah again!The people there are very friendly and knowledgable with what they do and serve!

They use technology to show you exactly what is going on with your vehicle ( I have never had a nasty surprise or unexpected charge. I love coming to Jake’s Auto and Truck Repair. They really are the friendliest little repair shop. I used to try lots of franchise, quick lube places or local tire places for oil changes and whatever else they always seemed to recommend. Finally, tired of feeling like I was getting worked over, I found this great place and will never go anywhere else. They always do a great job. They tell me clearly what is going on and what they recommend. The good news is most of the time there’s nothing wrong and I just get the oil changed. Probably because they do such a good job keeping my car running well.

I’m so glad I took my Xterra to Jake’s for a second option! I was told that the transmission was bad from the radiator leaking into it. They didn’t find that problem at Jake’s. I had them do other services that were needed, mostly maintenance. They were very professional! Kept me updated with everything they were doing, sent pictures and searched high and low for parts that were needed. Monica was great! Prices were reasonable too! I can’t say enough good things about Jake’s auto repair. My car broke down on my way to work from slc to Orem, and luckily there was a cozy repair shop less than a mile off I-15. I was warmly greeted and listened to by the woman there and explained my issue. I’m sure I came across frazzled and and stressed, but everyone was so kind and understanding. They couldn’t get me in that day because they were so busy, but had a rental car pick me up within 10 minutes. Crystal contacted me the next day in a very professional text to keep me updated on my vehicle. I was kept in the loop on the damages and the estimated cost. She went out of her way to call around to dealerships because she noticed my car might still be under warranty. It was. If only there were people like Crystal working at the dealership. It’s so nerve wracking to be a woman or a person not comfortable with cars and needing to get something fixed. Unless you have a friend or a connection, forget about it. As a Jeep owner, i am very cautious on who I take my vehicle too for work to be done. My Jeep had brake issues, electrical issues, and needed alignment done. Jake’s auto repair fixed everything I asked for and at a much reasonable price. Highly recommend Jeep owners come here for work.

I see all the 5 star reviews and it makes me confused about why I didnt receive the same service. I went in to do ALOT of repairs on my 2004 Dodge ram 1500. It was there for almost a week. Every single update on the truck I received was because I HAD to call back to get any information. I did 4200 dollars of work and the problem I came to them to fix still persisted. I then called and asked for a quote once I found out the actual issue which they couldnt figure out. They never called me back after acting confused about what I was asking them to repair. Idk who your mechanic is but if he doesnt know what lifters and rocker arms are Im sure you can find a better one. Used to love this place as it was modern and a small business shop. However the customer service I received with this truck is unacceptable I will never go back here and I advise everyone to make sure you are being communicated to accurately and get a second opinion on your car/truck before having any work done by this shop. They seem like extremely nice people I just cant deal with the unprofessionalism
