Clean and convenient.Wish card didnt cost money, its @$1. Prefer cash. No cash back. $10 min on card. I needed a couple bucks more to add to the dryer, but I needed to put a minimum of $10 on their card. I also cannot get the card down to 0.

The place is very clean, and everything is in good working order.

I was in a house fire June 17, 2021. I was able to save most of my clothes, but they had an awful sooty or mildewy smell. I purchased a product called OdoBan and headed to Soap Opera Laundry on Woodward just south of 63rd street in Downers Grove. I did about 6 loads and dried them. Aaron was very helpful in getting me set up as I hadnt been to a laundromat in 25 years. . Then I had more clothes to do so I brought in 44 pounds of smelly clothes, which Soap Opera Laundry laundered for me and hung all the shirts on hangars. They even added the OdoBan product during the rinse cycle for me. They saved me a huge amount of time, and my clothes smell fresh and not like a campfire anymore. Aaron was very patient with me and was very helpful. He is a great employee. I also saw him help numerous customers while I was there. They are very easy to do business with and really aim to please the customer. 5 star rating for Soap Opera Laundry.

Horrible customer service and the prices so high a $0.44 for 7 minutes for dryers. This afternoon i was came here to pik up my clothes from dryers and i see that my clothes was not there than someone told me the guy work here he put my clothes in his office and he run away for his lunch so i have to wait another 30 min. Even i was late just 10 min after my dryers cut off..!!

I had an issue with my card working in a machine. A technician working nearby helped me get the machine started before even questioning what the issue was. The attendant that fixed the issue with my paycard (I think Marcus?) was so kind and patient. I met the manager on his way out and he gave me his card and introduced himself. This was the first time I had ever been here. they really care about their customers and it shows.

Nikki was a EXCELLENT teacher for both setting her trainee up for success and helping me learn about the laundry experience. Very bright, clean, and better than any other options in the area. I needed to do my laundry as a drop off service and I went to the Soap Opera laundromat. This was my first time doing this type of service. The customer service there is FANTASTIC!!! They hired a new girl Elizabeth and she was super friendly and professional. Her trainer Dale, was patient, kind and helpful to her. He took his time explaining the process, she listened, absorbed and executed. She even called me to tell me my laundry was done and I could pick it up at my convenience. I would definitely do this type of laundry service again!! As far as cleanliness and pricing, very clean and you get what you pay for. They wash, dry and fold b the clothes perfectly!Great job!!Very very satisfied! Ill definitely recommend this place.

The Downers Grove location was spotlessly clean and sanitized. Dale Bass was extremely helpful and really helped me out as this was my first visit there. Very modern and vending machines were well stocked as well. Will definitely be back and 100% recommend.

Usually this laundromat is fairly clean and the machines work well. Not sure what happened, there’s literally a rotten tomato under the chairs in the back. Multiple machines I passed up because of a mildew smell. The usual ladies that work are not here.

We had a fire 2 years ago and had gone to several different laundromats in the area while our house was being rebuilt. This laundromat has the most helpful and friendly staff. It is the cleanest laundromat. I am specifically writing this review because I had such a nice experience with Mike. He was teaching my son to fold fitted sheets today. He is always friendly and helpful.

Been coming here for sometime. Its clean and fairly priced. However, there are a lot of clean and fairly priced laundry places around!The reason I always come back is because of the staff! for example: I was there one morning early and realized I left some clothes that needed cleaned in my storage shed. I was speaking to Nikki B. about my situation.I ran back to the storage shed while I had stuff in the dryer, it was about 20min.When I got back she had hung my shirts on my hangers because the dryer had stopped prior.Its people like this that make the world an easier and more pleasant place!Thanks Nikki!!

Personally I love this location but theres one downfall, The inconvenience of when you load all your laundry into one of the dryers to only come to find out after you sort through it all and your laundry loaded up that dryer unit does not work. It is out of service, the laundry attendant and I chit chatted I do feel it is customer service skills related that if the machine is out of order being respectful to the general public. Because of the fact of when theyre busy not everybody can see those little tiny details and preventing the inconvenience of wasting time for the constomers. To please post a larger sign than to have it on the tiny baby digital sign on the card reader. Because of the fact that when its busy you cant see the tiny little detail. Also when it is busy you dont have many options for what dryers are open and three itll solve the extra work the constomer has to do in order to get their clothes back out of the dryer that does not work to wait and find another dryer that does work.Assigning a bigger sign than the card reader would be greatly appreciated because as we all get older, not everybodys vision is the greatest they do have signs on u-line that you can order that are professional looking and customers would appreciate. I guarantee you it, but again I like that laundry location. Its preferred that I and or my mother go there when we go to that location. But again it would be appreciated if they would please post larger signs so you can see from afar so you dont have to wait till you get right on top of it and load everything in there to discover the dryer does not work and its out of service.

I had a super awesome experience at Soap Opera. The staff is super inviting and makes the full task of doing laundry a great time. Elizabeth really really did a great job of helping me and showing me how the machines works and some tips I might not have otherwise known. 10/10 experience

It looked nice from the outside :/ I went there at 10 pm because the whole world says its open 24 hrs. Well... after 10 pm you have to be a member of their special club to enter and with no way of becoming a member at 10pm all I could see was from the outside looking in. It looked nice, but sadly they did not get my business and I just went down the street and used another that was open until later with no restrictions.

Im 100% satisfied with this place, you can use cash or card to purchase and/or load laundry card. The washers and dryers work and seem to be well clean, its spacious and open 24 hours which fits my work schedule perfectly.. I like how you must have a card to enter after hours. I am really happy to know there is hot water to wash clothes with (last 2 other places had cold water only) ..I just wish I would have found this place before the other two fails.. also thankfully the attendant was available and helpful otherwise I would not have been able to enter after hours for 1st time.. kudos to the staff, i would recommend this place to anyone in need of a laundromat 😁

Mike the operation manager made my experience one in a life time. Today was my first time visiting a Laundromat and he helped me out every step of the way recommending what washer and dryers to use! Hands down one of the nicest laundromats and super clean!

Mike is the heart of this business. He is super friendly with everyone who walks through the door and greets them with a smile. He is now training employees to be just as great as he is. I will always do my laundry here because of Mile.

This was by far thee most pleasant cleanest laundromat. Mike, the gentleman working there was so nice he walked me though everything, helping me register and explained the whole process. Everything is so updated very nice place to come into.

I tend to do wash after normal business hours, even after midnight. I have had the pleasure to meet Mike the operations manager even at these times of day. He commonly interacts with customers offering assistance as needed. On my last visit this past weekend, the magnetic strip started coming off of my card, making it difficult to operate the machines, and even to enter the building. To my great relief Mike showed up, and when I told him my problem, he went to work on fixing my problem and got me set up with a new card. Very thankful for Mike and the 24 hour operation.

Ehhhhhh.... Id rather go to CD One Price but cant beat the location when in a bind. Just keep an eye on your clothes. Had all my clothes taken from there recently.

Clean great place to do laundry

They have very poor customer service. The machine I was using did not wash my items. They offered to give me 30 minutes of dry time( the equivalent of $1.17) for clothes which were still dirty. I sorted the clothes out that might completely set and put the other clothes in the dryer so that they at least would not mildew before I get a chance to wash them tomorrow. When it came time to start the dryers the employee made a huge deal out of the fact that I had to call 800 numbers and register the card before they can start the dryer. I have been here for an hour as is I do not wish to go through even more time and energy ONLY FOR $1.17! So I told her do not worry about it Ill pay for my own dry time. I asked if she could give me a plastic bag to bag the clothes I decided not to dry and she said I would have to purchase 1. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN!

I had a great experience here and Michael was super helpful, pleasant and hard at work keeping the place clean. I’ll be back next time I need a laundromat! BTW, he was super patient, professional and kind with a challenging situation.

When I picked up my comforter after drop off for cleaning it was still damp. Mike the manager apologized several times and promptly had my comforter dried with fabric softener sheets. This was my first encounter and I was very satisfied.

Michael was very attentive & helpful. I came in the laundromat to wash my loads the way i grew up. Michael taught me how much clothing each washer can hold & gave me expert advice on how to save and make a successful quick experience. During my drying period, i fell asleep & michael was sweet enough to add time to my dryer. We had meaningful conversations & i left with a smile. Theres nothing better then having compassionate energetic employees & a successful experience.

Very clean, easy to get a membership card for overnight washing. You get cash back for putting cash into your card vs using a debit card. The membership card also has rewards that give money to you for being a member!The prices are fair for the technology used in the store as well as the size of the washers.They have three 8 load washers, a few 6 load washers, and a smattering of 4, 3, 2 load washers.They have 2 dryer sizes 30# of clothes or 45# of clothes.To me the prices are fair to the capacity of the machine. The facility is extremely well kept, very clean, secured overnight when there is no attendant between 10p and 7 am. If you have a membership card you can get in over night and use the machines.The attendant on staff was very helpful answering my questions and helpful tips and tricks she had picked up! Cant use coin change only cash or your debit/credit card. Credit/debt the minimum is 10 dollars. I go from 10pm-12am to avoid people/people who leave their things in washers or dryers without being there and get mad when someone takes their stuff out cause you shouldnt trust others anyways. Nice you need your card to get in after hours. Great that its 24/7. Remember 24/7 so I can careless about how clean or dirty the place is.

Need better notification on machines and dryers that are not working and if people were cleaner or respectful of the facility they would pick up their droppings pick it up if you dropped it and BATHROOM IS DIRTY, PLEASE KEEP IT CLEAN

We took our religious education group to wash blankets as a service project and it was great. The attendant, Cindy assisted us with the machines.The laundromat was clean and easy to use the card machine to run the machines. No quarters necessary.Will definitely recommend this place!

They actually make you buy a card so you can use your credit card here. They dont even take quarters. They actually made going to the laundromat worse. The lady who worked here when I was there was very pleasant. That was the only good part

Decided to try this place for the first time. It is very clean I will give them that. But no dryer sheets in the machine. Tried to break a 20$ in bill breaker and refused to take it. I even tried a different bill. Plus I find the machines kind of expensive. Don’t know if I would come back.

For such a busy place it was amazingly clean. Having to buy their little credit card was a little different but actually came in very handy. Lots of larger load machines. Plenty of parking.

Place may look nice but is a scam. Regardless of what you select they automatically change to a low setting when you press start and barely clean the cloths. I highly recommend washing in your bathtub versus wasting your money and time here. Same result

I got here at 11 and Im out by 2. I thought Id spend 70$, but I only had to spend$55. I was A LOT of clothes. Ive been coming here a while and the attendant, Cindy, just showed me I was doing it all wrong!! I was using single load machines when the double load is only $1.99 on Wednesday. I was using my debit card and missing out on free washes. She changed my laundromat life!!! LOL. Love this place a whole lot more!

Convenient, this place has a lots of different sizes of laundry machines, the dryers are cheap compared to others, this place has a lots of promotions and dependent of how much money you put in your card, more extra money they giving to you, the promotion on wednesdays is also very good deal from almost or half of the regular price. Its a pretty good laundromat with lots of machines, but people smoke outside and cigarette smoke blows inside and is nasty. This has happened multiple times, and if I remember correctly it has been multiple employees of the laundromat doing the smoking.

Good machines, cheap goods, the washing machines are expensive though... pay about 16 bucks to wash 3 loads....sheets included...dryers are more reasonable . Overall I spend about 22 bucks for 3 loads to wash and dry...good thing its 24 hours

I’ve been a long time customer at this laundromat since 2013 but as of late the cigarette smoking right outside the doorway has been a real issue. not only are customers smoking right outside the door but the employees do too! i’m looking for a new place to do my laundry as this has been a consistent issue for months now. can’t even bring it up to the attendant because they are doing it too. even tried coming on different days at different times to avoid it but it’s unavoidable at this point. i don’t need my clean clothes stinking like cigs the second they come out of the dryer and that’s what has been happening. it’s a joke. so disappointing.

This place is clean but it is HUGE RIP OFF. No cash accepted for anything. Everything has to done on a card they make you purchase with your debit or credit card, oh AND THE CARD COST YOU A DOLLAR! THEN, all washers are 2.49, 3.79, 4.79, 7.79, and 9.09 with an extra .25 for an extra wash our rinse. Dryers are .39 and .44 for 7 minutes. Talk PENNY PINCHING. I asked the clerk of they would purchase the remainder of my card back, NOPE! I KNOW WHERE IM NOT COMING BACK TO!Im going back to the Worlds Largest Laundromat in Berwyn. I can do twice the laundry for half the price, use cash, get free donuts and coffee and they clean their machines several times a day.

I can come here on a Saturday and have no problem finding a washer or dryer. I like the fact that its 24hrs.
