My granddaughter needed an alteration for her dress for homecoming. I brought her in for a fitting on Monday and it was finished by Wednesday. Jouhaina went above and beyond to do beautiful alterations n her dress. Her alterations were beautiful! I highly recommend her!

This is my first time going to a tailor and I had a bridesmaids dress that was just a little too big. I only had 14 days till the wedding and jouhaina said she’d have it ready in 9. Jouhaina was a miracle worker. I brought my bridesmaid dress to her, which let me tell you is 2 dress sizes too big. I wasnt sure if it can be done, but I just picked up my dress and the structure was preserved, it fits, and the chest padding gives me some shape!She worked with me with the cost and when to drop off/pick up the dress. She is flexible and responsive via text. I am very satisfied with the way my dress turned out to be!I reached out to her end of March and I needed the dress this weekend. I kept in mind that May is the start of wedding season AND Prom. Just be realistic to her, if you are giving her a timeline of when you need it by. She does a phenomenal job!

Ive been looking for a tailor I can go to for the foreseeable future. I dont feel like this is the place for me. I didnt realize this was out of a personal home at first until I pulled up for my first visit. I felt uncomfortable about it not being a store front. I figured Id give it a try anyway because the reviews on here were so good.I am trying to buy more items of clothing that are better made, better for the environment and I had 4 dresses that needed slightly shorter shoulder straps, one was getting darts in the back. These are casual cotton dresses, nothing crazy going on with them. Jouhaina quoted me $120 for all 4. It felt a bit high even though she said she was giving me a deal. In the end I decided to do 3 of the 4 I brought. I felt pressured into saying Yes after everything and I just dont think our personalities aligned, it could be a generational or cultural thing, I dont know.I got a text from her 6 days later saying my stuff was ready (I was happy with the turn around time!) It took a while but she finally told me my new total for the 3 items I had left behind which came out to $95. Still high but I had no choice at this point since I caved and agreed to everything already. FYI this business is cash only just as a heads up.I went today to get my items and I tried them on for good measure but as this was happening Jouhaina told me that I need to change my style and buy more things with stretch which I took as in a low key way calling me fat. Im a size 12/14, Im not a thin girl but seriously? She said that if I buy stretchy things I wont need them tailored to fit my chest which makes no sense coming from someone who does alterations for a living? You would think you would want people to continue to bring stuff to you. At this point. I am not changing my style, I love my clothes and my style right now. I just wanted to leave as fast as I could and never go back, my search for a tailor continues.Pros: The turnaround time was fast and the work was fine which is why I at least gave 2 stars.Cons: Pricey, odd location, cash only, might low key tell you youre fat.

She was very honest that the sequin material would be hard to work on. In just 3 days, both of my items were altered to perfection. She really does have the magic touch. Brought two men’s suits to her, both oversized in different ways. We had taken them to a different tailor a week prior who wouldn’t even touch it, saying that the alterations would be too difficult and not even worth the trouble. I was in a huge panic when I received my dress just 6 weeks before my wedding date after ordering it 6 months ago because I had very little time for someone to work on my dress. I had an expensive coat where there was only one size left in the store and none online. I really loved this coat; however, it was evident another shopper switched out the belt as the belt was very big. I didn’t trust a tailor at a cleaners to be able to take out material on a belt on a nice coat. I googled tailors in my area and found Jouhaina had a great reputation.I took my coat to her on Sunday and showed what I needed to be done. She texted me Monday afternoon that it was ready to be picked up. She’s very personable and easy to talk to. She did a tremendous job and I was so happy that she was able to fix it! I live in a small town with essentially no options for alterations and needed an alteration to a blazer for an interview. I was going to be visiting a friend in Naperville the weekend before the interview so I searched for alterations in that area. I came across Magic Touch and sent a request through their website; Jouhaina got in touch with me via e-mail and then by phone that night. She said she could do the alteration and was willing to work with my limited time frame. Not only did she do an excellent job with the alteration, but she is just the sweetest individual! I own a sheep fur lined coat that I needed taken in about 3 sizes. What a great experience!!! Jouhaina was an absolute pleasure to work with! I am a bridesmaid and the dress needed quite a bit of altering. I went to Jouhaina on Wednesday 9/17/2018 after work, around 4:30pm and it was determined that the dress needed to be hemmed, taken in on both sides, added cups under the liner and the illusion neckline needed to be brought down some in the back. Jouhaina notified me on Thursday 9/18/2019 at 2:30pm that the dress was ready!! You read that correct, it was ready in less than 24 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just picked it up on my lunch (my schedule did not allow me to pick it up yesterday) today and it fit like a glove, I felt so much more comfortable in it now that it actually fits. Prices were very reasonable, especially with that quick turnaround. Would absolutely be going back with some more items!!!!!!!!!
