We needed new windows in our 1976 house. Our salesman, Jeremy Newman, suggested things we had not thought of, including specs that ended up saving us money. For instance, although our house is a traditional colonial with grids in the windows, he said, Do you really need them at the back of the house. Answer, no. Money saved. The installers were terrific--did the whole job in two days and cleaned up everything incredibly well. We recommend Bradford and Kent for windows--they used a well-known product that was priced well below the manufacturer reps quote. Very happy to have done business with Bradford and Kent.

Our designer worked with us to bring our vision to reality. We had our kitchen fully remodeled and hardwood floors installed throughout our condo. When the flooring company we had picked went out of business (!) our designer found replacement flooring, which was more expensive, at no extra cost to us. The project manager worked with the trades people to handle the project within the strict rules of our association. They were always professional and a pleasure to work with.

Jeremy Newman was a pleasure to work with. He came out and measured to replace an old sliding glass door and window. He explained what needed to be repaired structurally to fix the sliding glass door and were very pleased with the professional results.

My wife and I decided to remodel our kitchen this fall and thought that we would use the same contractor, we had not heard of Bradford and Kent at that time, who handled our master bathroom several years ago for we loved the job that they did. Even though we were sure as to the contractor we would use, we did get several contractor quote. We saw an ad in the newspaper from B&K on a seminar they were holding and attended. We liked the people we met and the products that they had on display and had them provide us a quote. Our designer, Laura, was open, listened to what we wanted to accomplish and made suggestions for us to think about. Even when we wanted separate quotes for doing the kitchen only or kitchen plus pantry area, that was fine. We still expected to go with our prior contractor except their new designer just turned us off and kept telling us that what we wanted to do couldnt be done for the price. When we received our quotes, B&K was not the cheapest but their cost seemed to be inline with what we anticipated and were substantially cheaper than the quote of our prior contractor so we chose B&K. Laura helped my wife on the selections so that her vision of the kitchen she wanted took form. Our project manager, Brian, was an easy person to talk to, he was personable and listened to our concerns and kept us apprised of the schedule and the work to be done. We made a few changes through the course of construction and he never questioned any of them, just simply worked through the issues that they brought. We had one issue occur when neither Brian, my wife or I could be home when the countertop contractor installed to the counter. The counter was to have three holes drilled for the faucet with the center hole at the center of the sink and the other two holes 4-inches off of the center each way. When my wife and I came home, we were speechless at what we saw, there was a center hole that we wanted but the other two holes were 4-inches away from each end of the sink, about 15-inches from the center faucet. Brian came in later that day to check on the installation and before we could raise any concern, he stated that it wasnt right and had to be replaced. No push from us, just a professional knowing that what was done was wrong. I would be remise if I did not mention the exceptional carpenters who did our work. I fancy myself to be a good woodworker but I couldnt remotely do as good a job as they did, every piece was perfectly fitted. Finally, our finish carpenter, Neal, finished off all the touch-ups and did all the tin work. He took our vision for the tin surrounding the hood and as the back splash for the pantry area and simply installed it perfectly, placing so the tin design was a work of art. His efforts are appreciated every day I walk into the kitchen. You start project like this concerned about the expense, the people you hire, the end product and with B&K, each step was the right step. We have one more project to complete in our home and I know already who my first call will be. Thank you B&K.

We undertook a sizable remodeling project - completely new kitchen, fireplace, laundry room, bathroom, and new flooring through the entire first floor and hallway upstairs. Bradford and Kent has once again finished a major remodel project at our home this past month. 28 years ago, B&K had put on our 1st addition on our home at that time, adding a bedroom, bath and expanding our kitchen. The addition at that time was to provide my wife’s elderly mother a living space which accommodated her aging condition.Well here we are 28 years later and another beautiful remodel project has been completed. This project was much larger and a bit more complicated than 1st remodel project. This project included a complete 1st floor remodel, living room, dining room and kitchen. We selected B&K based on our initial experience on 1st project and due to the complexity of taking down load bearing walls on this project, I wanted to ensure we selected a contractor that had personnel on staff to engineer the proper beams, placement of those beams, etc.The remodel turned out absolutely beautiful. Bradford & Kent put an addition on our house in 2001. We were incredibly pleased with the quality of their work and we have remained pleased after 17 years. We wanted to take a wall down between our family room and the kitchen to open up the rooms. We also did a complete kitchen remodel including new cabinets, moving appliances to a different part of the kitchen and some work on our wood floors. The services were great for the sales and initial conversations about our windows. The quality of the product is very good. We are pleased with the timing and completion of the work. While they were working, they were very courteous and cleaned up behind themselves. We are enjoying the benefits of the new windows with reduced electric costs (during the summer). We havent gone through the winter yet, but we are sure that we will see a reduction of costs for our heating.

I have an older patio door that was functional with the exception of the return spring on the screen door. I was concerned since the door was older, but, they scheduled an appointment that was very convenient to me and they where punctual. Work was completed swiftly and without mess. In October 2016 we used Bradford & Kent out of Downers Grove to do a kitchen remodel. Based on 3 bids we received, their bidding was fair and honest. We had a baby coming so we had them sign a completion contract which stipulated they would be substantially done by a certain date. They hit it exactly. We are also very pleased with their work. They aggressively worked to finish up the final punch list items after our baby arrived in December. We would recommend them.

We had the formidable task of researching for the right company to construct a complete re-hab of a kitchen, laundry room and three bathrooms. Our first stop was the seminars offered by Bradford and Kent on a Saturday morning. Their presentation was congenial, organized and professional. We looked no further! We worked with Laura on design and found her to be creative and well versed in 3-D drawings. This allowed us to visualize and modify on the spot as we discussed ideas. The cabinets we chose are of the highest quality and the fine workmanship of the carpenters made our drawings a beautiful reality. As in any large project there were slight modifications needed during the process. One weekend at an on-site visit we questioned a minor lay-out of the design. Within minutes we received a phone call from one of the owners assuring us it would be taken care of immediately. It was. When the project was completed we were introduced to Richard, the customer service rep. He made sure all the final details were completed to our satisfaction and explained that he would be our contact person if any problems arise in the future. We were also fortunate to meet and work with Laurie, the marketing coordinator. Her enthusiasm for our project was equal to ours. We found that we did not just sign with a company but with a team of people who obviously love what they do and service their clients with the highest degree of professionalism.

Our kitchen remodel was completed a week ago and we are very pleased. Bradford & Kent did a wonderful job. Laura Ahrens gently guided me through the selection process. Jim Nolan, our job superintendent, was on top of every detail of the job and was responsive to questions and concerns in a very timely manner. Every tradesman who entered our home was pleasant, respectful, and did quality work. The kitchen was completed within the projected time frame -- rare was the day when nothing was happening on the job. I LOVE my new kitchen and would highly recommend Bradford & Kent.

After listening to my needs for the project, Brandi, our designer, provided various samples to choose from. More importantly, she provided samples of tiles I did not discuss and actually fell in love with something totally different than what I had originally envisioned. Having a good designer is one aspect, the installers, are also equally important. The installation couldnt of gone better. Jim. the project manager was professional, addressed our concerns and followed up with us promptly. The construction crew was on time, clean, courteous, and informative about the job. My master bathroom is beautiful thanks to the great team at Bradford and Kent.I would recommend Bradford and Kent and would not hesitate to utilize their services in the future.

We recently completed a first floor remodel with Bradford and Kent. The project manager, Louie, is one of the main reasons we would go with them again for additional remodel work. While there are always unforeseen issues that creep up in projects like this, Louie was always on top of things and made sure we kept making progress. The quality of the trades (carpenters, tilers, flooring, etc) were great. We love the final product and will definitely be giving them a call for future work.

I have given Bradford & Kent a 5 star review only because there was no room for a 10. I have spent the last 3 years having extensive renovation, upgrading, remodeling and general upkeep on my home performed. It is very hard to turn your home over to strangers to demolish, tear apart and hopefully improve and bring your idea to life. Not only was Bradford & Kent able to realize this dream but excelled in the planning, implementing and finishing of my remodel. Because of all this work on my home, I can give a very honest and accurate review of many differing contractors. Bradford & Kent was way above the level of workmanship, professionalism, knowledge of construction and materials and follow through than any other company I have heard, seen or experienced. I would not turn the importance of a good quality home remodel over to anyone else than Bradford & Kent. We were really happy with the remodeling job that B&K did for us recently.The whole process from design, to picking out cabinets etc was smooth and fun. Bradford and Kent recently completed a kitchen and master bathroom remodel, at the same time, in our home which was built in 1999. It was a three month project, but we could not be more pleased with the finished product. Challenges do occur during this type of project, but the B & K staff was always polite, accommodating with our schedules, and considerate of the rest of our home during the construction. I would choose Bradford and Kent without hesitation, to work on any remodeling or addition to our home, and at any time in the future. After talking to several contractors, we chose Bradford and Kent to remodel our 25 year old kitchen. We didnt look forward to the design process because we didnt have a lot of free time, were out of touch with what was in, and didnt really know what we wanted other than a new kitchen. Then we met Laura Ahrens and everything changed. She listened, asked the right questions, and on just our second visit put together the PERFECT design and even chose the finishes. It was perfect and finalizing the details with her was quick and easy. The entire construction team, led by Louie, was awesome - friendly, on-time, and did great work. We couldnt have made a better choice, and are happy to say were getting ready to do our master bath next!

My husband and I are very happy with the final product. Everyone was so great to work with especially the builders. They showed up early and ready to work everyday. I appreciated their professionalism and overall just being nice guys. The porch is my favorite! I went back and forth many times and I couldnt be happier with the final results. I had a friend come by to drop something off today and she literally passed it up twice!

My husband and I engaged Bradford and Kent when we wanted to remodel our dark, dated kitchen to a light airy space. Brandie was our designer and we couldnt be more pleased. Her eye for all design elements from color to texture to style is truly outstanding. What further elevates her as a designer is her ability to really listen to the clients desires and guide the client toward a beautiful design that reflects the taste and values of the client. When we expressed conflicted thoughts about removing the basket collection that hung from our 9 foot ceilings, she suggested a design that included two prominent built-in shelves one over the kitchen window and one over an arched doorway; this allowed us to incorporate some of them, yet move toward the lighter design we were working toward. She is thoughtful, artful, very pleasant to work with, has an incredible eye for detail and is eager for the project to reflect the client. Everyone we worked with at Bradford and Kent was awesome. They are truly the best.

Just completed our 2nd kitchen remodel project with Bradford & Kent. Both the design and construction phases were done on time and professionally. I was impressed from my first phone call when I inquired about a basement design project. I was clueless but was quickly educated about the entire process by Sharon Obrien, the designer. She was incredibly professional and informative about the process and our options. The decision was nearly instant that this was the company we were going to choose and the process was entirely streamlined - from our walk through the showroom, to choosing our selections, to the actual start date. Sharon went out of her way to meet us in our home and accommodate our hectic schedules whenever meeting at the showroom. Everything she said was going to happen did and in a timely fashion. Every last detail was attended to - even ones I had no idea were included in our beautiful design. Then, she handed us off to Jon Graunke, our project manager who was amazing, as well! The start date was moved up to start a couple of weeks ahead of schedule, which was exciting news. The crew was super friendly but more skilled than I would believe. Our basement is no longer a storage area, but a beautiful and welcoming space where we now enjoy with our family and friends! Jon really paid attention to detail and went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied, and he even made sure each fine detail was addressed! Last point, this was not a simple project - it included a workout room with a mirrored wall and a ballet bar, a guest bedroom, an exquisite bathroom, a stone fireplace, a bar/pub area with a beautiful island/peninsula that seats at least 7 cozy bar stools around it to gather with friends and a beautiful open space where we have placed our pool table and couches. Our home is complete and we guarantee to use Bradford & Kent on all future projects!

Our original home addition plans (a first floor master bedroom and bath) were denied by our village due to lot size limitations. It was unfortunate since the Bradford & Kent architect did a fantastic job of visioning the project and providing us with expert guidance and suggestions. We ultimately decided to convert our screen-in porch into a first floor bedroom and this project turned out great from start to finish. The new room fits perfectly into our home and looks as if it has always been part of the original home. The tradesmen who worked on the project were timely, courteous, clean and diligent. The project manager kept us informed each step of the way so there were no surprises. The project was completed on time and on budget. The true test of a remodeling contractor is whether they would be hired again. As we think about remodeling our kitchen and master bathroom, we would not hesitate to consult with Bradford & Kent.

Another great customer service experience with Bradford and Kent and our service manager, Richard. They did our kitchen addition almost 10 years ago. This spring I noticed one of the windows had a stress crack in it. Richard promptly addressed it, ordered the window & set up the install. Couldnt recommend them more!! Great company!!

After having several different builders/architects look at our home, Joe Pavone was the first to come in with the ideas and creativity that helped us to accomplish our dream of adding a master suite onto our split level home. We appreciated all of Joes attention to detail and his work on the design of a big remodel. B&K did a nice job of staying within budget with no unanticipated expenses. There were some small headaches over the course of the project, but I think that is to be expected with any major house remodel. In the end, we are very pleased with the quality and design of our home - and we are loving all of our new space!

Once the construction started, our project manager, Jim Nolan, did a great job of communicating the details of the project and made sure we understood and were satisfied with whatever was happening.During the construction, we had a small issue with our house unrelated to the kitchen project, and the B&K team stepped up and helped us with the process even though that wasnt their responsibility. We had Bradford & Kent expand our kitchen, redesign the majority of our first floor and add a fourth bedroom to our home. The entire process was seamless, from the initial design phase all the way through the final days of construction and inspection. During the construction, each trade was punctual, kept a neat workspace with materials and tools, exceptionally nice with our children and dog, and kept to the project schedule. They worked with us to design our floor plan, select appropriate appliances and recommend state of the art materials and hardware. When issues did crop up, they were there to recommend solutions and make sure the project stayed on track. We are particularly pleased with the beautiful finish carpentry (who are employees ensuring a consistent, professional appearance) and have had many compliments from friends and neighbors on both the exterior and interior of our home.As you can imagine, a four month construction process is a long time but the folks at Bradford & Kent kept us informed the entire way and minimized the intrusion. Neighbors initially referred us to Bradford & Kent and now we know why. We highly recommend them and would utilize them again, which is the highest compliment.

After approximately two years after our kitchen was remodeled we had a few minor repairs that were required (refrigerator door handle was loose, caulking around back splash and granite rough spots smoothed). Richard quickly and efficiently responded and had the granite company out and he sent a B&K repair person out and all of our issues were quickly resolved.This just re-enforced our already high praise for B&K. They did excellent work from original concept, design, planning, materials selection and construction. Jim was our project supervisor and he awesome. He was a great communicator. Laura designed our kitchen and she was great. Everyone we came in contact with after Laura was awesome too. Our project was really tricky because we were out of town during the work. Our superintendent Jim kept in constant contact with me and so we did not have any problems. If we need any more work we will ask them. We will also tell our friends.

I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Bradford and Kent. I initially hired an inexpensive contractor who left my 2 bedroom condo an empty shell and a construction zone. Bradford and Kent helped me turn my disaster area into a gorgeous home. They completed everything from the electrical work and pluming to creating a dream of a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, two bedrooms, and living room. They were able to overcome numerous obstacles such as putting ceiling fans in a cement ceiling and creating the kitchen I wanted. My kitchen space was quite limited but despite this they were able to design a kitchen with all of my chosen appliances and more cabinet space than I had in much larger kitchens. They are very professional, ethical, and stand behind their work. I would not use anyone other than Bradford and Kent.

The remodeling of the siding, new windows and framing, new back door and screen door; gutters, downspouts and reattaching my rain barrels went well without major glitches or delays. The team was efficient and friendly and answered all questions and concerns as they came up. I would definitely recommend this company.

Came out to estimate two projects. A lean to added to my garage (pretty simplistic design) and a project to remove a balcony on my second story and frame/side in place of it. Never heard back so called after two weeks and was told it would take 2 days for an estimate so I finally called them. They gave me a $30k price on the lean to on my garage which is absurd, considering my two other quotes were $10k and $7.7k and there was no difference in the scope of the project. Seeing as they never got back to me, I had to call to pull a quote out of them (verbal no written quote), I believe this was a “I don’t want to do it price,” and if it wasn’t, then they were trying to charge me over 3x what others qouted me. Further, it was a verbal quote not written which is unprofessional because cost breakdown should be clear to the customer as I believe they have a fiduciary responsibility to provide this as a contractor. In addition to all this, they noted they’d get back to me on the other project cost but they never did. I can only conclude that this is a contractor that preys on customers who do not fully understand reasonable fair pricing on home projects.

Couple of months ago Bradford and Kent completed remodeling of our kitchen. It was gutted completely installing new cabinets, some new ceiling drywall, new quartzite countertops, appliances, electrical work, lighting and hardwood floor finishing. Also provided a warranty of their work.The project planning was done by B&K designer recommending and reviewing layout, dimensions, materials in their in office 3D software making easy to visualize the new kitchen Project manager and construction crew gave us a timeline for completion of work.While we hear about delays in remodeling work, this was a pleasant surprise when the kitchen was finished ahead of planned schedule. Moreover the quality of work was first rate, no repair work was needed.Planning a total kitchen makeover is quite time consuming, so that using K&B which has a complete showroom, designers, project managers saved us a lot of time and effort including daily monitoring of the project.Rob Quiqley, one of the owners, was very accommodating in making some decisions to move the project along. All in all we are quite happy with the quality of work and the new kitchen

B&K recently completed the remodeling of our utility room and did an outstanding job. I was most impressed with their customer service. They made sure I was completely satisfied when the job was finished and didnt stop until every last detail had been resolved.

I recently hired Bradford & Kent to replace a 2nd story double-wide, double hung Pella window including all of the associated external and internal pieces – trim, siding, etc. This average project was complicated by the fact that we have a mansard roof where the second story windows intersect and the window was totally dry-rotted due to ice damning over this particular window. Bradford & Kent thoroughly investigated the situation, resolving the underlying issues and replacing the window. Their communication was consistent and clear, their scheduling and punctuality were top-notch and their installers were skilled and cleaned up after themselves after the installation was complete. Overall, they did a great job on this project. I will be using them again in the future.

We did a large home addition with Bradford and Kent that included main floor, second level, and digging out for a basement. When all was said and done, the experience was fine. The process itself had typical hiccups and frustration but having lived through 2 prior additions they were not that out of the ordinary. I do feel that this contractor is better suited for projects smaller than ours. Though we are thrilled with the extra space, there were details overlooked or ignored. The five year warranty is great, but the response time to issues, after the project is done is several weeks and sometimes months.

We did our homework and interviewed several contractors prior to hiring Bradford and Kent. We chose Bradford and Kent because they were right on target with what we wanted in the design and what we wanted to spend. The actual quality of the materials and workmanship was excellent. We told Bradford and Kent to use our names in any marketing materials and please have anyone call us for a reference.

We recently used Bradford & Kent to completely gut and remodel our kitchen, laundry room (moved to a new location), master bath, refinish all hardwood floors, new doors and windows and put addition on garage. Our remodel included removing a load bearing wall (no issues), moving water, electric and HVAC among other things. Our designer, Laura, worked with us through many iterations of the plan until finding the one that was perfect for our needs. We did not have any already made decisions on room design, materials, etc. when starting and Laura was able to guide us through and as importantly, keep us from making mistakes in the process to select what is now a beautiful remodel.The work was all done as described. Of course with any job of this size there were some small surprises, but that is to be expected and all were able to be worked through easily and quickly with B&K. The workmanship was professional, workers all respected that we were still living in a half gutted home, were polite and cleaned up all work areas each day.We would recommend B&K, especially to those looking to remodel with a full service company; from idea to design to demolish to rebuild/build the new space.

Weve had B&K perform three projects for us including remodels and additions. All of them have met our very high expectations, and we plan on using them again. These projects usually have hiccups, but we appreciate the rapid customer service and the thoroughness of the solutions and follow-up. In fact, the job supervisor wanted to drive 100 miles on the 4th of July to address a minor issue that couldve waited until after the holiday. (We convince him not to come). We have no hesitation recommending Joe and team.
