Great service. Tom (the man working the front) was very courteous to the older people that came in, and explained/showed everything in simple terms so they could understand, it was nice to see. He also did a good job servicing my issue. Took a few business cards to post up at my work. Definitely recommend.

Avoid this place if you want your computer fixed in a timely manor. Open three days a week and you call they are always working on your machine as we speak. Week and a half of calling and getting that response. Take your computer elsewhere.

I originally took my computer to the Geek Squad at Best Buy. They charged me 150 dollars just to look at it and, after a couple of days, handed me back a still broken computer saying there was nothing they could do. I brought it to Dover Computer Repair and he fixed it in front of me in 30 minutes and charged me a fair price. I could not recommend this place more.

Thought I was going to spend almost 800 bucks on new system board to correct a charging issue. Their knowledge of my type of laptop, HP Spectre, was extensive and provided with a mind blowingly simple and elegant solution. No charge. Service was fantastic and I highly recommend them.

No matter how lame my question may be on my dumb phone, my friend at the front desk is ALWAYS so helpful & kind! Just leave a $10 or $20 in their tip (lunch) jar (which isnt even mandatory), and youre good to go!This place has saved me alot of time & frustration. HIGHLY recommend them 👍

My work computer stopped working, turns out needed a new hard drive. They told me itd be at least a few days to get back but theyd do their best to speed that up being it was needed for my business. My daughters laptop needed the letter (G ) on the keyboard fixed. Its an older laptop and wasnt sure if they had a spare part to fix it. PC needed a new motherboard, they ordered it and got my system back up and running in about half of the time I was quoted. Price was very reasonable, would highly recommend and would obviously go back next time I have an issue.

I recently had a computer over heating and d.c.r. diagnosed fixed the problem and also checked for other problems and resolved them. my computer I thought was not much good came back as good as new and looking new. A great place to go, friendly reat price and turn around time.

Jim and Tom were extremely helpful getting my PC to work properly. After spending a few hours trying to figure out why some of the components werent working, they were able to fix it for me pretty quickly, and also helped me set up Windows and install drivers for all the components, without charging anything. Would definitely come back in the future, if I needed any repairs or servicing!

Excellent service at a fair price. Because they are excellent they have a backlog of work. I stopped by one day and filled out a work order for updating my hard drive from a 250GB to a 1 TB Solid state. I was given an estimate ($250) and told they would give me a call when they were ready to work on it (estimate 1-2 weeks). The computer itself is a fairly old Dell (12 years) but more than adequate for my needs of email, spreadsheets, etc. Because I use it every day I wanted to leave it off in the morning and pick it up in the evening. About a week later I got a phone call saying they were ready. I dropped it off in the morning and picked it up in the afternoon. The job was done perfectly and the solid state hard drive is sooo much faster. Start up time went from ten minutes to one minute. Most importantly they were able to clone the old hard drive so that I didnt need to reload any of my programs. The computer with the new hard drive was exactly the same as the old drive except much faster. Really better than buying a new computer which would have taken me at least a week to get set up with the dozens of programs I have on my computer.Now, remember that you are dealing with computer geeks and I mean that in the most positive way possible. Here are some things they could have done better. On the day I dropped it off I arrived at opening time and had to wait about ten minutes for anyone to show up. I decided to stop by again about an hour after I left it off to see how the cloning was going. They hadnt started it yet because they couldnt find the original work order I filled out the week before. I filled out another one and then they started working on it right away. They said they would call me when it was ready and when it got fairly late in the day I called them to make sure it would be ready. Just finishing up they said so I was able to get it that day. Instead of $250 the total was $270 as there an SSD frame not included in the original quote. So I give them five stars because they are competent when it comes to computers and the price was fair. Their cloning charge of $100 was half what another computer service quoted me.So, overall two thumbs up but just be aware that the process may not be quite as smooth as youd like.

These other reviews do not mirror my experience at all so I guess I wonder what I did to deserve such terrible service. I emailed them about a problem I still have with my laptop. Maybe it wasnt a pricey enough repair for them to take seriously, I dont know. It took them about 3 weeks to email me back. That should have been a sign. They said it would be an easy fix, $25, so I said I would drop my computer off on the following Monday. The kid who accepted my computer seemed distracted and uninterested. He told me it would be 2 weeks and I almost took my computer back on the spot.... 2 weeks for a simple fix (their words)!? Anyhow I waited the two weeks without hearing anything from them. After two weeks and a day had passed I called them and left a voicemail asking for an update. By 1:30pm that day I still hadnt heard anything so I called again. I spoke to an individual who seemed to have no idea what I was talking about. Almost like they hadnt even checked their voicemails. He then informed me that my computer hadnt even been looked at yet. I promptly told him I was coming in to get it... To which he asked today!?. Terrible customer communication. When I asked him for an update he said we dont NORMALLY do that... I wanted to be cool and support a local business and all that. Just wish my business had proven important enough to them to actually DO what they said they would in a timely manor. Never again. After all that my computer isnt fixed. Thanks for wasting my time...

When I called to check it out, they were very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. They also understood the need for a quick turnaround.When we brought in the computer, the shop was easy to find, easy parking by the building, clean and observing of Pandemic Protocols. Again, everyone was friendly and helpful.When the computer was ready, they booted it up, went through the new equipment, asked if there were questions, made it all ready to go, and checked us out fast. When they dont work, computers can freeze progress in some areas of life and be VERY frustrating! I tried for 6 weeks to find answers with an issue that was crashing my work in excel. I was using the help that came with MS 365. It took hours and, in some instances, made it worse. I finally gave up. In the past, Dover Computer Repair had done a great job fixing a laptop with a cracked screen, even lending me a portable screen to use. but I wasnt sure how they could unwind this mess.I knew I didnt want to be without what was working in my computer for who knows how long. And I know how busy they are, but I really needed help. I was impressed with their patience, support, knowledge and speed. They just drilled down until they fixed it all, and now Im actually making progress and enjoying having a computer that actually works! And they did it that day while I sat and watched!

So...I dutifully applied an update to Windows and then (wait for it), it would not restart. It sat there inert. I took er in to the Dover computer guys. They diagnosed the problem the same morning I dropped it off. They had it fixed by the afternoon and its been working fine ever since. I found the price very reasonable indeed. Late Friday afternoon, my 2012 Acer laptop suddenly wouldnt turn on. I ran it over to DCR and Jim was very nice, he immediately knew that we would need to replace the old hard drive to a solid state drive. I got a price, along with notice that other diagnostics would be necessary. Had an excellent experience with this company/shop. Have a high end gaming PC and damaged the mother board. I brought the PC in and the staff was super helpful and polite. This was on a Friday and they had to order the same mother board because it has a unique set up. Said they would most likely have it done by next Thursday. It was ready on Tuesday. They kept me well informed on what they were doing and provided the diagnostics for me on the same day I dropped it off. The cost was very reasonable (minus the replacement motherboard which wasnt under their control) for the repairs. I will totally go back there if I get other problems and recommend it to those I know.

I get depressed when my computer works just fine.....that means I dont have a good reason to stop in and see my favorite computer geeks. They have the magic touch that makes my world whole again. Whenever your computer is acting up, I highly recommend that you stop in and give your computer a chance to be fixed by the greatest guys in the Dover computer world. An analogy for computer knowledge, to me, is the difference between processed food and home cooking. You get a lot of unintended ingredients in processed food, but the real computer knowledge is like home cooking---all good ingredients melded together by an experienced hand. The difference is in the quality of taste for food and in the computer, a reliable response to quality service. They can fix things that others would perhaps throw out. I went there yesterday with my Samsung galaxy S2 Tab. Talked to them on phone and got a price to replace the charging port. I said ok. They wanted to see tablet to make sure they ordered the right part to replace it. I thought Id replace internal battery as its a year and a half old while they had it open anyway. When I got there they took a look and gave me a new cord. This one fit snug and worked great! Its on charger as I write this. Its actually charging up instead of slowly losing power as I use it. This has been going on for last 3 weeks. They couldve ordered parts did work, but they were refreshingly honest and charged me two dollars for cord!!! Yes that 2 bucks!!! I have driven by this store for quite a while but only had occasion to stop in last week with a small problem which was fixed immediately. While there, I asked about a Mac laptop I had at home that was in dire need of upgrading. They were very helpful and gave me an estimate. I decided it was a great price, and I had been very impressed with their customer service. I took the laptop in and three days later I had a new solid state drive, operating system, and RAM. What a pleasure it was to deal with these gentlemen. I dont normally like to part with my hard earned money, but I was happy to give it to them because they provided exceptional service and customer service beyond anything Ive seen in a long time. My dad (aged 85) had some viruses on his computer and the team and Dover Computer were great. They took it in and had ready exactly when they said they would. Showed what they did, were very patient, and it came it at the estimated prices. I couldnt ask for more.

These guys are amazing. I wish I had known they were so great before i scrapped my laptop. They probably could have recovered my files and wiped the drive for donation, rather than whatever happened to it with all my personal info...They helped me choose and install a new graphics card to replace the defective one in the refurb pc I bought from Amazon, and offered advice for the (also defective) refurb monitor I had gotten with it. (I sent back the monitor and got a new one.)

I called back twice because I had to speak with a Microsoft technician based in the Phiippines, in between, who could not help me with a Microsoft caused problem that crashed my laptop. These guys gave me several repair scenarios and discussed the possible fees with me. I look forward to meeting them in person, about an hour from now.
