If I could give them 0 stars, I would. FYI, I was an agent representing the Buyer. Thankfully, this was not a first time home buyer or they would have cancelled the escrow and been turned away from ever buying a home. This was the most incompetent escrow company I have ever worked with. Their scam is they do not charge the Seller escrow fees; however, they charge the Buyer double the escrow fees. We would not be as mad if they werent completely useless.Closing was delayed on 3 separate occasions due to a lack of response. It is impossible to get any of the escrow officers/assistants to give a straight answer, and when you do it normally takes multiple days. Sometimes they dont even respond! I doubt this is due to of volume. If you are reading this far, I will recite some items that were absolutely appalling -1. Not getting escrow instructions out until 3 weeks into the escrow.2. Ordering the wrong NHD report.3. Failing to send a notary on time to have the grant deed signed.4. Waiting until 2 days prior to closing to provide us with commission instructions.5. Failing to provide paperwork required to close escrow.6. Failure to communicate that close of escrow is even going to be delayed.7. Not providing any sort of confirmation of receipt of funds.8. Forgetting to order a report required to close escrow.9. Non disclosure of the ridiculous fees.Do yourself a favor, run.
Avoid if you can- seller chose this escrow. I was a bit uneasy dealing with them. They were very unorganized. I called the office responding to an email they sent and receptionist forwarded me to the escrow officer. The call went to voice mail box belonging to REMAX. Not sure if they share an office or something else is going on. When they returned the call I asked the escrow officer about their fee structure ( and how they divide escrow costs between seller and buyer). She was very shifty, avoided giving straight answer, She sent an estimate 24 hours later. One of the posts below says they shift all seller costs to the buyer. So beware. Thats when I started reading the reviews here and asked seller to move escrow to another company. Very glad I did and that I put up with them for only 1 day.
It took a while for closing but the service fee was very outstanding and very appreciate especially during these hard times thank you very much.
Kate, Anna, and Jane are top notch and I send all my buyers and sellers here when I am able. Thank you for all your hard work. Its much appreciated!!
Sent paperwork to open escrow on Sunday, no response. Called Monday am to talk to someone, no response. Called again in pm to open escrow. Still no response. Called on Tuesday am, person in meeting would call back. No response. Called again at 11am. She was tooo busy to talk to me. If thats how they run their business, i will take my business elsewhere. This doesnt even deserve one star!!!! Ive been a real estate agent for over 40 years and have never had this happen before!!!!
Unfortunately, this is an escrow company you do not want to handle your real estate transactions with. First, they have incompetent escrow officers. EO who does not have the knowledge of what they are doing. We are in the midst of closing on our home, but because we have an incompetent EO, Alexandra Smith, she decides not to close our escrow for the seller and the buyer because she is scared of the damages the park owner of the mobile home! Bravo!!!! She acknowledges and warrants Verbal Instructions from the park owner when the seller has the written proof to show that the park owner has violated his own Regulations of the park he owns. Now, isnt that hilarious?! She is taking sides with the park owner rather than the buyer and seller and pretends she has intentions to close and shows concern for buyer and seller...really??All I can say is....go somewhere else and not do business with this escrow office....you seem cannot reach anyone by phone except the receptionist who by the way, cannot take a simple instruction to have one of their escrow officers to call back. Gosh! This office does have associates who are incapable of understanding...tsk tsk tsk....!
Represented buyer: Requested net sheet day after opening escrow per email and phone calls with other questions never received net sheet yet other questions had been answered. Ever time calling the office escrow officer was busy on the phone (even lender had issues communicating.) Cloud escrow charged fees that normally escrow companies do not charge. (1) email doc fee of $100. (2) loan-tie-in fee of $300. (3) archive fee $100. These fees are escrows responsibility buyers fee totaling $3105 (overcharged by $500) said will refund buyer $150 only. Per website, they advertise no seller fees (not sure what they actually charge sellers) imo charging buyers extra fee to make up the difference as buyers dont usually have the choice of escrow company or are aware what fees should be charged especially few days before closing, requested to speak with owner several times, nothing. Be Aware what fees are charged verify make sure to ask what are the normal charges compared to other escrow companies.
