This place wasted my time!! I called them on a Saturday to see if I could cash my check on a Sunday. They tell me yes. I work midnights so I get off work Sunday in the am go straight there with my id and ss card. I give the lady everything and she says I cant cash it because I didnt sign it in front of her!!! I had just signed the thing in my car in hopes of a speedy transaction because of shady characters in the neighborhood. Please people take your business elsewhere . A disgrace. Use your prepaids to mobile deposit your checks open bank accounts.Do whatever to stay away from this place they take like 5 % from your money anyway. The good reviews are fake. Please avoid this place!!!!!

I am currently locked in the 24hr check cashing on Woodward Ave. The shed has closed and we are locked in. This is so traumatizing at a time of covid-19. Five customers are in here and its very closed in.

I got ripped off. Only reason is because my drivers license was stolen with my jeep so I didnt have debit cardI had a paper ID and needed to cash my check. They took 70$ out of a 1700 dollar check. A true abomination. If I went to Walmart its 6$ on every 1000. I was desperate but it is nothing but a sham. This place reminds me of a loan shark who prey on low income people in a poor area. Lastly I called about if I needed a picture ID to western union money to capital one. The lady was so rude over the phone. I mean just plain nasty. I cant wait for my drivers license to come in the mail so I can deal with Walmart. Ill never patronage them once my situation is over.

I’ve been here a few times for different things this particular night I came i was greeted to a window by a younger woman. I believe her name was Rochelle. She was very friendly asked me how my day was going an what she could help me with. Very rare that you’re greeted with a friendly nice smile an a person whom actually ask you how your day is going that made my day I later called an told the manger how friendly she was an how well she took care of me let him know he has a great young lady working for the company as well as the older lady working with her this particular night very friendly an helped me cash a check that was probably to late to be there cashing but they helped me out I TRUELLY appreciate that.

This place is the PLACE to go cash your checks, first timer no problem, was nervous at first, (because some places says check cashing but if your a first timer you cant go to them) but Woodward Check Chasing is 1million% different.....

These boujee little old ladies are rude, slow and beyond irritating. Its like you go in there with hopes of getting out of there fast and happy with the service but even after living a block from this location for nearly two years I still have yet to have this happen. Hate this place man, seriously like why is there nobody under the age of 60 that works there smh

So...it really all depends on the services you’re obtaining and the person who is assisting you in which it will define the overall visit and customer service. I’ve only went to send/receive money through Western Union which no matter where you go is pretty tedious. I’ve usually never had any problems. I just hate the hefty fee they take out. If you don’t want to pay a fee to receive money, go to Western Union in Troy which is an authorized location. Besides this place NO LONGER HAS WESTERN UNION. They do MoneyGram which I HATE. The service is TERRIBLE (moneygram). And like the young lady said below. It’s a bunch of older women working here so expect a wait...(UPDATE) I went to cash a check I get from the nonprofit I work for. You can easily google the nonprofit and see me on their website and Steve the manager proceeded to ask me “what do I do?” I told him I work for the nonprofit. I don’t have a specific role there because it’s a partnership. And he YELLS AT ME “look I am trying to help you out here; tell me what do you do for them???!” And I refused to be subjected to nonsense of that kind just to cash a CHECK. So he finally says “we don’t want the check”. Never have I been so angry in my entire life. I am filing a consumer complaint on them as I speak. Don’t use this place if you’re not ready to go through racial profiling.

Didnt even attempt to cash my payroll check nor did she even attempt to verify it and rudely told me Oh I Aint Never Seen This Check Before Nope Take It Somewhere Else Cause Im Not Taking A Chance ....cashed my very 1st check when i was 14 which was 14 years ago as well as every other check from every other job over the pasr 14 years...the staff doesnt even look nor dress professional...its almost 4 am now my tank is on E and I wasted my time stopping by after a 16 hr shift at work....IM BEYOND PISSED....

Called because im a first time customer and wanted directions. The woman who answered was rude and her response was the same place we have been for 30 tears.
