Perrys is definitely a liquor store! From what I can see, they have a very large selection of liquors, with some wines and beers. I am no expert on alcoholic beverages, though. I have a general knowledge on that subject. The store is very clean. The selection of items outside of alcoholic beverages is very small-snacks, mainly and few at that, but there are some food items, etc. Only 5 or so selections of diet beverages if you count smaller than 2-liter bottles. There is the check cashing, which Ive never used, but I know those who did regularly without complaint. There is Western Union at limited times. I would suggest calling ahead for such services. Overall, they cover the bases they need to and, if you want alcohol, Im sure youll be happy.

Employees are not so nice to customers

Like other people have said, the prices are typically higher than surrounding liquor stores. For example, I would pay $22.99 for a pint of something I could get for $16.99 if I went two miles down the road.But what really bothers me is the short change deal they having going on. The last FOUR times I visited, they tried to short change me by not actually plugging into their system the amount of cash I was giving them.In the first instance, the bill was $41.12. I gave them $51.12 and they gave me back $5. When I explained I was due back $10, not $5, they were appropriately apologetic and I would have written it off as an accident, had it not happened two times in a row. Both times, they failed to punch into the computer the actual amount I had given them.The third time, my bill was $30.54. I gave them two $20 and $.54 in change. So, I was due back $10 in change. They spent a half second arguing with me that I was only owed $5 before giving me my $10 back.The last time, and the last time I will ever return, I gave them $50 bill on a total of $24.78. They attempted - unsuccessfully - to claim I gave them exact change and I wasn’t due a refund. It took me informing them I was an attorney for them to give me back my correct change.Don’t go here. There are PLENTY of liquor stores up and down Jefferson. They not only grossly overcharge but try and wreedle $5-10 from every customer. What an absolute joke.

Great store but their liquor is a bit higher than most liquor stores. Also make sure that they ring up your purchase correctly.

Fast and friendly

Brian behind the counter is AMAZING!!!! He’s very knowledgeable about EVERYTHING that Perry’s supplies! Well spoken, courteous and professional, he’s second to none! This store is well stocked and clean and provides an extra layer of security with the Detroit Police Department “Green Light”. From paying your bills to buying a Gatorade or milk for the morning, Perry’s has you covered!

This place makes me feel like a kid in a candy store. Nice bright neon lights everywhere. Candy is layed out all cute n stuff. Boxed wine selection is off the hook!

Store is always clean, the staff is super friendly. They have a huge assortment of liquor and a very nice assortment of wines. If they dont happen to have what youre looking for, just ask because they will order it for you. They also have free money orders... and who doesnt love something for free! I can only give these guys a three-star, cost for the most part their customer service is okay, the only real problem I have with them is that many times they watch people like Hawks from the time they come into the store to the time they leave. And as far as I can see its only African Americans they do that too. Ive seen many time waits will come in and they dont even look up, customer service is much more professional, and the treatment is much more professional. And I made mention many of times to the guy I believe is the owner or the manager, and he always apologizes, and they all treat me with the utmost respect because I wont allow anything less than that. And when I see them eyeball in another customer like Ive seen in the past I make the customer aware and I asked the guy behind the counter why are you staring so hard at that guy or that lady. and of course they say all Im not there Im just watching people, and when asked why they just watching people oh well you know we have to just keep an eye out for a merchandise

Perrys liquor this is my neighborhood store wonderful and any problems here bothering you these guys are whats up they are there every week milk bread butter any of your grocery means that you run out of them you just need to pick it up on the way home from work you left your cigarettes here whatever you want its right here on the corner were home these people are really trying to courteous and I really appreciate it fellas thanks much

What an array of liquor, wine, mixers, chaser and of course snacks. Limes, lemons too. You will definitely find what you need at Perrys.

Great choices clean & safe establishment

Place is a ripoff. And they always try to rip you off on money orders. Make sure you check your money order after he prints it. They tend to print a lower amount and put the difference in their pocket, hoping you dont notice.
