Hair cut is fine.. However, the second I walked in they were not welcoming at all. Frustrated that I mistakenly** put medium cut rather than long cut when booking for a trim... Probably wont be going back.

If you are looking for a top notch barbershop this is it. Very pleased with the haircut I got. Ash took the time to give my hair the shape and volume it needed. The salons decoration has an artistic and cozy feel to it reflects a good taste.

Avis was great and easy to chat with! My previous few haircuts (at other salons) were super choppy and I honestly just needed a trim and help blending the layers and sprucing it up again. She was able to do that within an hour and it looks great! The shop itself is small but cozy and cute. And the price!? $40 + tip for a long haircut is honestly a great deal - I will definitely be back.

Where to begin... I just had my first appointment at the Bearded Lady and I’ve never had a better experience at any salon, ever. First of all, great location, easy to get to from the expressway, and lots of parking. Second of all, when I opened the door I was greeted by two of the cutest pups, the shop dogs Otis & Betty Buttons. Betty sat on my lap while I was waiting for Ash to finish her client before me. My hair cut was pretty messed up from the last place I went, but Ash was honest about what needed to be done, that she’d probably have to take it a little shorter than I had imagined, but I trusted her and told her to do whatever she thought needed to be done. I also wanted highlights. The end result is my best haircut & color I’ve ever gotten. Ash didn’t even have to go as short as she thought she would, and the color turned out beautifully. I’ve gotten nothing but compliments and I feel more beautiful than ever. Thank you Ash, you have a new client for life!!

Avis cut and colored my hair, gave me a realistic idea of how light my hair could be expected to go. Several of my friends have since copied my style because it looked so good. I went to a different hair salon with my sister a couple days later where a stylist asked where Id gotten it done because the color was so well-blended.

Bearded Lady is an eclectic salon. She is hip and friendly. The website is easy to navigate and you can look through all the services they provide and book an appointment or call for more info. Cut, color, styling, dreadlocks, beard& moustache trims...comfortable environment.

I can get appointments easily which is good. The stylist took a little liberty on my haircut. It looks fine. Just def shorter than I asked. I wish she would have explained what she was doing before it was done. I would have been fine with it but was kinda feeling ok so we are doing this today when the clippers were going tight.

My teenager (not one to write reviews, but I thought this one needed to be written) had the best haircut and haircut experience at The Bearded Lady yesterday- better than she has had in more than 2 years. Paul was fabulous with her, they bonded over Thai food and he totally understood how to make an inverted bob on an 17 year look cool- not like a Karen or a page boy! (fINALLY someone!!) Clean, COVID friendly/fabulous, the price was perfect and there was a cute salon pooch as a bonus! Living in Ferndale, there is a salon on every block, and she has tried countless places stylists. Now she has a new a go to spot! Paul... she is flying high. Thank you!

Vanu is the absolute best for color. She has taken my hair from the warmest of Browns to the coolest silver. Just be patient and trust the process. Trust her advice

Here’s the thing: I’ve never left The Bearded Lady dissapointed. My hair always looks amazing and it’s been a lot healthier since I met Ash (pre-Bearded Lady ownership). The shop is comfy with a friendly atmosphere and super affordable prices! I’ve recommended Ash and the ladies to many, many friends and strangers that compliment my hair. Vanu currently does my hair and makes my color wishes come true every time. Ash is one of the hardest working and kindest people I know and I honestly can’t say enough nice things about this place! Ive been to The Bearded Lady twice now. I came on the recommendation of a friend.Before this I tried my neighborhood barbershop and got a hack job haircut. I spent the next 5 weeks wearing a hat before visiting Ash @TBL who fixed the other shops mess. My last visit to TBL was with Vanu who did an equally amazing job.So glad to have a great barbershop now!
