Love this place! Quick response to ANY/EVERY maintenance/service need that I have had-hands down! They fixed it super fast and done with great quality-Very easy company to work with, friendly, cooperative staff and I am sooo happy I was able to rent from them. Wonderful house, Wonderful rental company-All employees really have been great to work with and I am excited to have them as my landlord for the next year (hopefully many more!)

Was quintuple (5) booked for a house viewing in which the realtor didn’t show after waiting an hour. There was a woman with children under the age of 2 waiting in the 90 degree heat. Kale attempted to avoid my calls. Very unprofessional and rude. Was not notified that the realtor would be late until after the appointment time. Do better.

DO NOT APPLY - These property managers will lie to you in order to get you to apply. We were told we could do a virtual tour, which was no longer an option as soon as we had applied. They will tell you what you want to hear in order to scam you into applying. When called to ask about this, we were hung up on. They treated my boyfriend completely differently compared to me even via initial written messages... If you are a fan of good service or against blatant sexism and lack of professionalism, LOOK ELSEWHERE.

With no explanation! They have been ignoring me, very frustrating and took $120 that I paid for the application fees. 0/10 do not recommend.

My daughter filled out an application for a 2 bedroom apt. in Boone, and I was going to co-sign for her. This property group charged $80.00 for the application!!! $40 for my daughter and $40 for my info!! Any other places only charge $40.00!!! Beware, if they do this with several people, they make GOOD money!

I rented a house from these people for a year. On move in day with them, know that they have absolutely no idea if *anything* works. Advertised central air/heating despite the fact neither worked and the central air was junked, which they had no idea about because they never bothered to check. I had to call them on my own to get them to send people out to see if the heat would work, which of course it didnt. There was a gap in the back door so large you could see outside looking through it, not abetted in any way because they dont care. If for any reason you might be a day late on rent, they will charge you late fees no matter what. They will not work with you, because they dont care about anything but their rent money. And then if you free yourself from renting one of their uninspected, overpriced shanties theyll take 4-7 weeks to get your deposit back to you. Because, and I would underline this if I could, they dont care about their tenants in any way other than rent money vessels. Other reviews on this page that arent paid astroturf reviews will validate that they dont check anything before renting stuff out and are awful overall.The worst property management company in the entire metro area. All property management companies are bad/landlords are bad generally speaking, but this one is the worst. If you can avoid renting from these people, do that. If you cant afford to rent anything else, know that everything will be up to you and its very likely at least one appliance advertised doesnt work.

They denied me for a house that had visible mice traps all over the basement and in the kitchen over an eviction that is 8 years old and I no longer owe money on. I may as well flushed my $40 down the toilet. IF YOU ALL ARE DENYING PEOPLE FOR EVICTIONS OVER 7 YEARS OLD THEN THIS SHOULD BE STATED IN THE APP SO PEOPLE ARENT WASTING THEIR MONEY. Found property online that I was interested in and set up and appointment to view the house... I arrived 15 minutes before the appointment time and waited until 15 minutes after the appointment time to call the office and ask why no-one was there to show me the property. I was told that someone had sent me a text to reschedule the appointment. I did not receive any text. I rescheduled for today. I viewed the property and liked what I saw and discussed the terms of the property with Michelle. Michelle answered my questions and then proceeded to tell me that I had to fill out an application. I let her know that I would immediately. I went online to do the application and noticed something I wasnt informed about. I called the office and was speaking with Byron, when he couldnt answer my questions satisfactorily I asked to speak with someone else. Byron hung up on me and blocked my phone number! When I tried to call another number for the office Byron hung up immediately and blocked my phone number so fast that zillow contacted me! The absolute worsdt customer service experience that I have ever had!

This company is honestly a joke. DO NOT even bother trying to rent from them, they will take your money for an application fee and run with it. Me and a couple of roommates applied for a house a couple weeks ago and it was immediately taken off the market. We figured they did this because they were running applications (we figured there were a lot of people interested in this property) after a couple of days we hadn’t heard anything so we decided to call and see where our application was. We were told it was “processing” and would hear something in a couple of days. Days past and still nothing.. we were then told the owners took it off the market and did not want to rent it out anymore! Mind you, we had to call multiple times to get this information. We had called again and asked if our application was still “pending” they told us yes and since it was still pending we asked if we could get our money back since it was still pending and there was no need to run our app anymore since the property was no longer on the market to rent. Come to find out the property was put back on the market days later and still have not received ONE call about our application. Please save your time and money and rent with someone else. This company is an absolute joke.

If you can, avoid working with this company. A house I was interested in buying to own was switched to a rental through Pyramid. You cannot call them and get directly with someone, you must leave a voice mail and they call back. So when i received my call back, I was told to immediately put in my application and pay the application fee. I got offered an opportunity to look at the house. And nowhere during any of this was it disclosed to me that there was other interest in the house, or that they were working an application for someone else. So they took my money, didnt disclose any information to me about the house, and then told me it was no longer available within 15 hours of me setting up a full tour appointment. The employee proceeded to argue with me when i asked for a refund of my application fee, as they clearly had not processed my application, and apparently were not intending on processing my application for some time. It took me driving over to the business to speak to a manager in person (because the employee told me the manager wasnt in, yet she was when I arrived), to get my money refunded back, but even she tried to avoid doing what was right. She tried to convince me to merely switch my application over to another property, but refused to work with me on rental prices due to their employees mistake, and the other properties in my price range were either 40+ miles out of town, or already had applicants waiting. So they were doing everything they could to avoid giving me my money back and withdrawing my application and information from their system, when there was slim to no chance that I was going to be getting a property in my price range, in town, any time in the foreseeable future. The manager told me that the property was still available even though I received a text saying it was no longer available, that the house was still up to purchase, as well as the option of renting, when everyone made it seem like it was a rental only and the enthusiasm and lack of honesty, made me believe I stood a chance of getting this rental. And then to fight me on returning my application fee, to switch it to another property, when everything else they had available had at least 5 applicants waiting ahead of me. That, to me, is wrong, and a dishonest practice. So again, avoid at all costs.

PLEASE read the reviews on this company. Even if you see something you like, DO NOT waste your time and money because this place definitely tricks you. A property was listed on 6/28/2020, that I applied for. I explained to them that I wanted to move as soon as possible, they were happy to help. It took a few days with me pestering but I finally got to view the property. They told me and my roommate to apply ASAP. So my roommate and I applied the same day, and then the next day the house was taken off the website, so I thought “oh, we must’ve got approved”or maybe another person got it. After making 9 to 10 phone calls, text messages, and emails, Trying to reach out to this company, they told me that the owner of the house did not want to rent his property anymore. That was frustrating but the thing that got my blood boiling was they never told us. So I feel like that’s extremely poor customer service, we were waiting on that property, so we could make a huge decision. To me, that is extremely unprofessional because if something goes south, you should let the people that applied for the property know. Not only could I not get a hold of them, no one had a straight answer for me and I paid an application fee for nothing. After I called and complained, nobody reached out to me and nobody offered to refund my application fee or my roommates application fee. A business that is ran professionally would at least reach out to see what they could do to make the situation better. They did nothing. If you can help it DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT deal with this company. I wish I took these reviews seriously. It would’ve save me time and money.

My girlfriend found a house for rent, so we went to go see it. I left work early and so did she. We both lost time and money to go see the house. We both put in a application to rent the house plus the application fee for both applicants. They took the house down the next day. We thought that was a good sign. But They actually took the house down to sell it without telling anyone! Save your time and money. The people who rent these properties don’t care about you.

I have a larger home with a huge fenced in back yard and I have been here for about a year and a half, they had no problem writing a new lease when my last one expired, my first least was 9 months second was a year. I really liked that they gave a shorter time frame to start, my rent is considered “cheap” for the area. Anytime I have had a problem they have came and fixed it in a timely manor, and The companies have hired have been beyond respect for the furnace man even took his shoes off every time he came into my house. Pleased with the management staff here.

We really liked these guys. They let us break lease when some scary neighbors moved in next door when I was pregnant and scared. They were always on top of maintenance requests even if it took a bit. Very reasonable and kind folks. We’d rent from them again in a heartbeat.

This company is a scan they ripped us off for 120 dollars for an application fee showed us a house for 850 a month filled out the paper work payed the fee and the next day we called and they hadnt check our info yet but the house we were shown was rented out now refused to refund the application fee but said if were approved they would let us pick from their other properties which were a lot more a month without a fenced in yard. Gave our thirty-day written notice which the company claims they never received. It certainly was sent. Kept our deposit on those grounds, though we certainly didnt expect them to give us our deposit either way. Yes, the apartments in Woodland Heights are had a bedbug problem, though we seem to have dodged that bullet. Though, we did have bug sniffing dogs in about every other dang month. The apartment was certainly not worth the 750.00 we were paying per month. Dropping off the keys today. Glad to see the back of this place.**Our deposit WAS eventually applied to some trumped up charges.**Dont be unprepared to fight them upon moving out. Keep every single scrap of paper, take pictures of everything, send every letter by certified mail... This is not a trustworthy company.AND familiarize yourself with the Iowa Tenant-Landlord code. We have rented through Pyramid Properties for about 3 months & have had a great experience so far! When we were looking for a house to rent, Victoria was so helpful on helping us find the perfect house for our family. Once we found a house, we had a small issue with our railing that needed fixed, so we fixed ourselves & got refunded right away! If looking for a place to rent, I highly suggest going through here!

Paid the 30$ for the back ground check was approved was pose to sign my lease for a apartment in Rockford I get a tex message a day before I was pose to sign my lease that the apartment has bed bugs and I would to wait a month before I could move in because they was not just in the apartment I was moving into that the building was infested with bed bugs.so I said no thanks and asked for my 30$ back and would not even give that back to me but told me I could move in any way no thank you! I would not recommend this place business to any one!

I would love to give this 0 stars as this company is absolutely ridiculous. I would NEVER recommend anyone to these people. I just recently moved out of one of their homes and I had 2 other people living with me. Instead of the company providing a disposition letter to everybody on the lease, they only sent it to one person who provided the very first forwarding address and they also issued the check to that same person. They will not answer any emails or phone calls. The entire year we lived there, we had things that needed repaired and we called and called. Received no answer and nothing got fixed. The only time we got anywhere was having to show up and go face to face. This company is nothing but a joke and their properties arent worth renting.

I would never recommend this company to anyone using them to property manage. Ever! A realtor referred them to us and that is why we tried them. Big mistake. Zero stars. They will take advantage of you. They will use their own people to run up repair tabs. Worst experience ever.

Worst experience not only for a first home but for anyone looking. Apon moving in the house was a mess, holes in walls, drawings from kids. There was even a car parked in my garage for over 2 months apon moving in! I called the company multiple times a week asking to get the car out of the garage and taken care of and still nothing! They kept saying they will handle it and nothing happened. I ended up having to call the police and have them look at the car and get a tow truck to get it out myself and I didn’t get any compensation! On top of that after my lease was up they took my whole deposit and claimed they wanted more money! When we left the house way more clean when we left, filled every hole we could find, scrubbed floors, walls, and there was no car in the garage when we left! When we needed our dishwasher fixed they took weeks to get ahold of because they’re mailbox is always full because of all the issues with all of they’re houses and such little action. And when we finally got someone out to fix the dishwasher it didn’t work within 24 hours and this was an on going problem with many things around the house. We ended up just giving up and getting the hell out of there while we could. They don’t answer they’re phones unless your actually looking to rent a home from them and I can’t promise you that you will regret it. They scam you out of your money with a house that’s falling apart and blame it all of you. If I could give 0 stars I wouldn’t hesitate to do so. And I’ve had a few friends rent from them and have the exact same issue. This place is just a scamming money hungry joke. Save yourself the stress and time and look elsewhere through another company.

Just moved into one of there homes. Seemed very nice and perfect for what we need. So we have them 45 days notice of us moving in. They still had work to do such as “painting the floor”, yard work(no grass and garage everywhere), dirty floors from all the workers in and out of the house, hard wood floors have built up sealant on the floor causing a pain if you stepped on them, trash cans filled with garage left over from the crew and no mail box. So 45 days pass and nothing is done....the place is dirty when we walk in the yard is filthy still with no grass or sod as promised, floor not “painted” and dish washer not able to open due to the cabinets, cabinet not put together properly, trash cans still full of trash, and the back walk way is pieces of wood with gravel leading up to the house( all on unlevel ground and it eroding due to the no grass and rain. 11 days later they pick up the trash I’ve collected out of the yard(still has glass and bricks everywhere in the yard and we have a dog)put up a mailbox and “painted” the floor and that’s it. Woke up on the 12th night to find a mouse in my trash bag...i have video proof. Messaged Caleb with info on what’s going on and he said they are working on it but pest control is up to me. 12 days into this move and it’s already leaning one way and that’s not good for our year long lease. They wanted to rent it out so fast they rushed it. Poor job executing the house rental and poor customer service skills provide by Caleb.Little hope for the next 353 days we have left.

If I could submit my review with 0 stars, I would! Pyramid staff are extremely uncompassionate, and unfair! I found a beautiful home through Pyramid, a home that my family would have been extremely happy living years and years in, and we were denied because of my past marriage, my abusive marriage, that resulted in property damage and an eviction-over 7 years ago! I tried explaining things, I even offered to pay an extra deposit, but nothing seemed to matter to these people. My children are who gave me the strength to end my 10 year marriage, and they should not have to suffer because of this. My ex has signed his parental rights away, he is and forever will be in my past. I have since been in a very loving, healthy relationship for 2 years. I just want to move on!!

I tried getting an apt thru this co. Caleb was very nice & willing to work with me on deposit however, his so called mgr Victoria, needs a lesson in people skills. Rent was only $550 plus elec which leaves me plenty to live while on disability but she wanted 3x the rent so I got a p.t. job & gave all paperwk required which was more than 3x but she said it wasnt enough I believe she wanted Hispanics there so people dont try to rent from them unless you can bypass victoria

We had a showing scheduled at 2pm, Victoria texted at 1:55 to say she was running behind and would be there at 2:10.She arrived at 2:20.The outgoing tennants were still living in the house, and were present during the showing.The house was not clean, was still very cluttered with the outgoing residents property, and there was trash in the dishwasher.There were other properties I was considering viewing through pyramid but I will not be wasting my time.

Absolutely the worst property I have ever dealt with. I recently got out of the United States Army as an Artillery Officer stationed at Fort Carson Colorado and moved to Mason City Iowa for a job. I rented a house from Pyramid Propert Solutions without having sufficient time to review the property due to the shift I was working and because I was leaving for Colorado shortly after to get my stuff. I saw the house for a very short time and when I came back from Colorado the house was absolutely filthy. I was told the house was going to be professionally cleaned but it hadnt been touched there was the previous residents trash and liquor bottles in the cabinets, cobwebs everywhere, there was egg stains on the wall, massive amounts of dust behind the refridgerator and what looked to be mouse droppings, the carpet was stained beyond repair, there were layers of filth on all the blinds, the oven looked like it had never been cleaned in the 30 years it was in that house. I tried to explain to the land lord and he seemed helpful but when I told him I wanted to move out after being in the house for only a few hours he said ok. Then he came back and informed me that because I did not let them come clean it, which was what he had informed me of what they were going to do before I moved in, that I was stuck paying rent on the house until someone else moves in and that I would not get my deposit back. I called his manager and he claimed that the house was clean and I asked him if he had actually seen the house in person and he said no because he lived in Des Moine but he had seen the rental picture and I explained it was not what it looked like at all. He got very rude with me and I am currently pursuing a case with the better business bureau. I would not recommend using this company at all the experience I had was awful and is still on going because they are saying I fabricated the story. This was absolutely the worst experience I have had and after moving around A lot with Army that is something to take heed of.

Worst people to rent from. They never answer their phones and most of their properties aren’t worth what your paying for them. They will do whatever they can to get your money and do nothing to help you when your trying to get problems solved or things paid for. They will do whatever they have to for the extra dollar in their pockets. Stay away from this place no need to go threw the stress that comes with a inexperienced and poorly managed company like these guys.
