I have been a recurring and loyal customer to B Nails for the past 6 months. I’ve went through two loyalty cards as well. Two of my nails had broke and I went back to get them fixed. I picked out the color that i thought I used the last visit and it was clearly wrong. After paying to have my nails all be the same color I asked if we could remove the wrong color and find the right one. She refused to take off the dip and said she wanted to go home and she offered to put a design on my nail. I explained I came back to get my nail fixed and to have all my nails be the same color as these would be on my hands for the next month at least. She proceeded to find a lighter color and dipped my fingers into it. She skipped a few steps after that and I am aware of it because I get my nails done at least once a month. I felt extremely uncomfortable and was upset with the final product because my nails were the wrong color and treated poorly. I will not be returning to this salon as I feel she was not accommodating or reflecting good customer service.

First time going. Called and made same day appointment for my girls and me. They were able to get us in and was ready for us when we got there. Great atmosphere and service. The ladies were extremely nice. Did not feel rushed like at other places Ive been. Extremely satisfied and will be going back.

First time coming and they did wonderful!! Me and my sister both got mani pedi’s and had no appointment. We walked in and got great service! Love the workers here, so welcoming and nice!

Ive been getting my nails done by a lady named lily she is so sweet and nice to me and I havent had too much experience with nice nail techs since Im not knowledgeable they usually judge me but lily is a sweetheart and the prices are fair. Im glad I found them, everyone is nice and respectful which makes me as happy as my pretty nails do. Thanks lily!

So great about same day appointments. A bit more expensive than my usual place, but the options make up for it. The pedicures are absolutely amazing. Make sure you go all out because it is well worth it. So relaxing and even a month later my polish is still looking great. As for the dipping... My gal was so gentle with my hands and soon extra care to be sure I knew what I wanted before doing it. I usually try to go during the week so its not quite so busy... But nail salons get busy so definitely have an appointment.

I went in to take my tip set off and when shaping my nails the lady just cut all of the length off. I had also asked for a curved shape and I got square. Then I got the dip... she missed spots and it chipped in less than a week! Waste of money

I have had many great nail sets done here. I have always been very satisfied with their work! Recently, I went in for an acrylic removal and dip set. For the acrylic removal, the nail tech. went to pop of the existing acrylic nail, which usually is fine for me. I have a relatively high pain tolerance, however after I told her it hurt, she continued to do it. Eventually, my finger nail started bleeding because she was popping off a bit of my real nail. After the blood, she used acetone for that nail, however the rest she continued to pop off. My rating would be higher, however that experience was very frustrating and painful.

Love this shop Annie my nail tech is the bomb!! I refuse to go anywhere else. The whole atmosphere is pleasant. Very clean love it🖤🖤💅🏾

Really good place to get a feet massage and pedicure..

This was one of the worst pedicures I have ever gotten. They didnt fully cut my toe nails and also either barely filed some of my toe nails or didnt file some at all. I also asked for a clear coat and I instead didnt get any nail polish at all. They also failed to get all the dead skin off of my calluses. I would recommend going anywhere else in the Des Moines area if you are looking for a quality pedicure.

This is really one of the best nail places. They always do a great job not matter needs! Highly recommend

I do like this nail salon because its clean, affordable and in a great location but this last manicure/pedicure chipped very quickly and I agree with some reviews that I always feel a little bit rushed when Im there. It also drives me crazy that they dont massage your hands when you get a manicure. The last three times Ive been, they didnt massage with a regular or shellac manicure and thats honestly the best part of the experience usually. Quality of manicure is lacking so I will probably move on to a different salon.

Amazing location, beautiful salon, and great service. This is definitely the place to go to enjoy a drink with friends while relaxing at the pedicure bowls. All the options including shellac toe nails. Clean, new, and great atmosphere.

First time visitor, they fixed a broken nail for me very quickly and free of charge. 10/10 would recommend.

Am appointment is needed but not required. Even with an appointment, the wait was long and people coming in after me were being seen first. I thought it was expensive for the minimum services. A lot of choice for colors in shellac and dip.

Always a great manicure and pedicure. I love going on Sunday afternoon because they are rarely busy and its just more relaxing. They also doing a great job of social distancing customers and cleaning up between customers. I feel very safe going there. In this crazy world its nice to have some pampering.

This visit was an unexpected surprise! I was visiting Des Moines for business and had to look for a manicure. After living in NY and LA I am completely spoiled with variety and quality of nail salons, so going to get my nails done while in Des Moines was a difficult decision... Little did I know! The nail technician Cindy was the most skilled, professional, courteous and knowledgeable person I came across ever! On her suggestion I had powder instead of my usual gel. The result was absolutely perfect! Highest marks.Do not be put off by the young man at the reception - in-spite of the gloomy phone manners and appearance, there is no doubt he does his job professionally and means well! Who would be able to keep his cool while surrounded by demanding women all day long:))Look no more while in DM - this is your place for nails!

I had been to B Nails once before with friends, and done regular polish on my fingers and toes and the experience was great! Super clean and professional, etc. but the polish chipped pretty badly before the day even ended. My nails usually last way longer when I do them myself at home.Today was my second time back, but my first time doing dip polish because I hoped it would last longer. It was a little more crowded than our first time there, but not crowded enough to have a wait. First of all, my nail tech nicked me so many times, it stung every time she applied bonder, powder etc. and deep enough to have a few bloody cuticles. Second of all, I chose a dark green polish that was so dark, it looked black in some lights, but somehow ended up with sparkly purple nails. I had thought the powder would darken more later on in the process, but it clearly didn’t and when she asked if the color was ok, I just decided to accept it because i didn’t want to soak my new open wounds in acetone. When i said that it looked nothing like the swatch, she just verified the number, which was correct, and dismissed it as “sometimes the swatch looks different”, and then walked away. This makes the swatches pointless, in my opinion, but I guess the numbers matter more than the color. This also happened the first time I came, but I’m not particularly picky and the difference wasn’t enough to matter to me that time.Also there’s a considerable amount of polish around my finger tips and under my nails, and the shapes of some of my nails is definitely a little weird.Overall, the pricing of B nails is pretty good and they offer a student discount which is nice, but I most likely won’t be returning.

Enjoyed my experience at B Nails! I got a pedicure done and Tammy was great. Prices are reasonable and there are so many color options to choose from!

Best pedicure in town!

We arrived on time for our appointment and they rushed to have us choose color. The older lady was aggressive and she pulled hands really hard. We left and two days after the nails fell off and we called and said we can come to get them fixed but we had something and rescheduled it. The man at the register told us to come so we did and he said no we’re not gonna do it and he was very rude and yelled at me but why did he makes drive all the way just to tell us no. I would never get my nails done here again and would not recommend them. Even my friends had a bad experience

Best nail salon I’ve been too in a long time!! Did an amazing job with my pedicure and nails. Go and ask for Cindy it you’re getting any type of acrylics!! My nails have never looked this good and lasted this long!!

They were fairly priced and very nice, but the older lady I had did not do a very good job. I got a long acrylic set, very lumpy and bumpy. Not shaped the same, and my thumbs are different lengths. I could of done better at home.

Absolutely amazing!!!! Clean quiet atmosphere! No yelling and talking loudly like most nail salons (I think you know what I mean). Professional service all the way around! I’m visiting from out of town and will definitely come here again if I need my nails done!

I went on a Wednesday afternoon with no appointment. Needed a shellac manicure. It had been a while since my last manicure so my cuticles were in desperate need of attention. No wait. There were only two other customers. Clean, well lit and comfortable. Staff was friendly but not chatty which is what I prefer. Very nice selection of polish. Long story short, my ugly cuticles did not get enough attention. Not trimmed well or pushed back. She didnt have me soak my fingertips before clipping at the cuticles and clipped close enough twice to hurt. The shellac polish overlapped the raggedy cuticles so I had chips at the nail base by Saturday. By Wednesday, one week later, the nails are a disaster. Chips at the base and lifting edges. Also, my nails were supposed to be square and several were filed to a slight angle. I am very disappointed and out about $33 with tip.

I was so excited to try out this salon, but as soon as I walked through the door and was rushed to my seat I immediately wanted to leave. I was given 1 minute to select a color before they put me in a chair. Since I didnt select fast enough they gave me one card of colors to chose from (they have a table full of options!).The general experience was very rushed by the tech because management was very clearly pushing people out the doors as fast as they could, even though my appointment was at 5 and they close at 7.General items missed during the gel manicure: shaping of nails (all uneven), no conversation, and no alcohol wipe off or lotion/hand massage after because nails werent dry. The tech moved onto the next client before my clear coat even dried and I had to leave. It should go without saying my nails were smudged before I even left the salon and peeling off in less than a week.There is clearly some mismanagement going on to not allow the techs to do a quality job. I was so disappointed with my experience with this salon and will not be back and have told others I know not to go either.

~*I love how clean they are. This is the biggest perk of all. The pumice stones are new for each client. They ensure each person washes their hands. The color selections are the best I have ever seen. I travel on a regular and visit many cities and salons. Especially large cities. I will say they have the best color selections of any salon I have ever been to. The cleanliness is especially important to me. The service is friendly and well worth a visit. I will rank this in the top 3 nail salons I have visited in my life over the past 24 years. Cindy and Nhan are especially awesome! Nhan’s leg and foot massage during my pedicure was PHENOMENAL. I can’t say thank you enough. I work so hard and this was so needed. Thank you!*~Oh did I mention you can bring your own beverage! Life can not get any better than that.

I love this nail salon, I have been coming here since I moved to Des Moines almost 2 years ago. I tried a few places throughout this wn but in the end the quality and comparison just wasnt there like it was a B Nails. The service has consistently exceeded my expectations, I definitely recommend trying it out...but make an appointment, they are usually always booked. As an added bonus they are BYOB, so if you are having a girls day, be sure to bring a bottle of 6 pack to share while youre getting pampered.

I’m here for the summer and had to find a new nail salon. I really enjoyed this place! Annie did my gel classic pedi in 30 minutes and she did very well on that! I also got dip nails from her as well. I was there for about 1 hour and 20 minutes. Quick but not rushed which is nice.

An amazing experience every time! They listen to you and even guide you through new experiences. It is also a peaceful atmosphere and a great all-around service!

Beautiful location; horrible service. Im visiting from Chicago and Im away from my nail guy so i ran in here on a 45 minute windowof my day. They had a full house and were expecting a party so asked me to wait and said it might be a while. I only needed one nail fixed send figured even if i waited 20 minutes surely they can fix it in 10 and i can be on my way? I sat there a full 40 minutes. Their party arrived and instead of taking my single nail fix and starting their party, i sat waiting while they fixed drinks and sat each person in that party right in front of me. Thats what the peaceful get for being nice and waiting; looked over. If i fussed and cursed and nagged and checked i might have gotten taken care of. So sad.

They all do a fabulous job! The only downfall to this place is the guy that works the front desk has always been so rude to customers. If you can get past that I 10/10 recommend!

Incredible atmosphere, clean, professional and the nail techs seem so experienced. I went in with my chunky bumpy acrylic nails for a fill and left with smooth, thin, and structurally sound acrylics. They use an autoclave and line their pedicure tubs too. If I ever come back to Des Moines Ill make sure to stop and get my nails done here. Im convinced the B stands for boujee. Haha

I wouldn’t recommend. I have came here twice to get dip. The 1st time every single one of my nails cracked and they said they switched products and would put another coat on to make sure they didn’t crack. The 2nd time as soon as I noticed I called and advised them that my nail cracked they told me to come in. When I came in they all had nasty attitudes as if I did something wrong and then told me I could come back at 4 or wait 30 minutes. When the younger girl goes to wrap my nails she only wraps one so the rest will be uneven when I said something she just looked at me dumb founded. I will never be back here.

I had the worst experience at this nail salon. Very rude, very rough with my hands. I had an appointment at 4 and they sat 3 walk-ins before they sat me. One of my nails came off not even a day later.
