I’ve bought multiple automotive starters and alternators from this shop over the years and so has my dad (even before I was) 15-20 years ago. They make a good product and use the best rebuilt components possible. Like others have said the product lasts longer than the vehicle!I have bought starters from box store auto parts places... they take your core, send it to Mexico to be rebuilt with cheap parts, paint it, and ship it back up here to be resold. I went through 3x Mexico rebuilt “lifetime warranty” starters in 2.5 years on my truck before getting one from S&H. It lasted 7-8 before the truck was sold.Check your prices... usually a good rebuild here is cheaper or almost same price to a box store rebuild! And don’t believe their cheap “lifetime warranty” tag. They know their product only has to last 12-18mo on average before someone sells a car. Then the new owner doesn’t have the warranty info to use the lifetime warranty. Buy a good American Rebuilt unit and have it last!!

DONT GO TO THEM THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY! Bought a starter realized ten minutes later my brother had bought the same one off eBay for cheaper took it back WITH reciept and they REFUSED. Called later on to talk to the owner and started hollering and cursing calling me bad names. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE business. Taking advantage of clientele what a shame!

I agree with shana when you go to s&h you tell them what you want done it will be done right if you told them not to strip and paint they wouldnt of there quality of work when your product is done it will be totally cleaned up and fix and painted black that is whats done thats their signature product i have been going there all my life and every product i got lasted longer than the vehicle itself i got rid of vehicles before product gave out and if i would ever had a problem with any product i would of taken it back and they would have fixed it no problem. so for the people down talking s&h it was not s&h that was the problem it was you they are stand up and i stand behind them its a very good place and recommend it to anyone to go there

This place is a joke. I have had multiple starters and alternators last a matter of hours not miles or days. The last stater was a remanufactured starter that was 394.00 dollars and only made it 20 hours in the machine. The customer service is horrible, if you drop something off for warranty be prepared to be treated like you are a ignorant child and it will always be your fault. You would be time and money ahead to purchase a new component instead of having S&H rebuild it. We have spent to much money in labor and fuel fixing their mistakes.

Not good at all. Told them not to strip and paint, but they did anyway. Now I have to buy a pint of custom paint and hardener just for the genny($60 or so to fix his screw up). He got so mad when confronted he took his parts back out and gave my broke genny and $175 back. The next shop fixed it for $25. Ill never go back and would advise the same. Indianola for the win!
