Randomly showed up with my 97 Jeep Wrangler that had literally gone underwater for 15 minutes….. After a few repairs at another shop my jeep still wasn’t running right. My friend had recommended trying this place and I’m glad she did! I dropped my jeep around 10am and they had found the problem and fixed it by 3pm the same day! The NEXT day my jeep had another issue. I literally showed up randomly saying there is something else wrong. No hesitation they told me to leave it here and they will let me know tomorrow. My car was fixed and ready to go the following day. Now my car is running better than before! Can’t thank them enough! Very professional and quick. They did not recommend any extra nonsense either. 10/10 will return with my other cars!

Honest work and workers. I always feel like I’m going to get played at car dealerships when I walk in as a girl that knows nothing about cars but this place really made me feel at home. Fixed my car in a jiffy as I had to head to Cleveland. I really wanted to write a review because of how amazing they treated me and noting that they weren’t trying to get every penny out of me. I also had the opportunity to have my registration done . Once upon arrival I was greeted in a very professional manner, I inquired about making an appointment for an inspection. The owner was nice and courteous, he said no worries I’ll take good care of you. I had my automobile towed there on my appointment day. Two lights were on. He said you can’t pass inspection with the lights on. He then said you should have a warranty on the vehicle don’t pay me when you can get it done free.I left my car over night the next day I went back my car was inspected lights off. He recommended and oil change. I took him up on it. I haven’t had such good customer service in so long. I felt spoiled. Thanks Jim automotive for such good service…

This place is scam me I paid for a subframe and welded it and it came apart and they refuse to fix it. I wouldnt suggest anybody do business with them thats just my personal opinion. As well as ultimate Auto they are both affiliated with one another.

Hands down the best mechanic. I bought 2 cars from him that have required routine maintenance and his fees are extremely reasonable. Work is done in a timely manner and he treats you very fair.

The only reason I first went to Jims Auto was because I lived down the street and could easily drop off a car and walk home. I am not a friend nor related to Zach & Ed but theyve been honest and have done great work to my vehicles over the past 7 years so I keep going back to them for everything including routine maintenance like oil changes, brakes, and NYS inspections. Theyve also done A LOT of work on my vehicles to keep them running over the years because they had 80K & 100K miles on them respectively--so theyve fixed/replaced all sorts of parts over the years like a water pump, alternator, tires & rims (with TPM sensors), rotors, etc. They did transmission warranty work on my Van and helped me get reimbursed from Toyota and even helped diagnose an electrical problem the dealer didnt find.I know they sell cars, but Ive never bought a car from them (because theyve always kept my vehicles working). When I mentioned that I was going to trade-in a car for a brand new one, Zach actually helped me figure out what my trade-in was really worth wholesale so I could get top dollar on the trade. Sure enough, the Dealer only offered the Kelly Blue Book value so really Zach helped me get even more money on the trade!Even though I recently moved further away, I still bring my vehicles to Zach & Ed. Rather than waiting at the shop for my vehicle to be serviced, they drove me home which was nice. Ill keep going back to Jims and Ill keep recommending them to anyone because good & honest mechanics are hard to find.

We showed up at 4:45 on a Saturday with what we thought was a screw in the tire. These guys didnt hesitate to pull the tire off and, thank God it was a real small top of a screw and didnt cause any damage. Multiple times theyve helped us out.

Sold an elderly family friend a car that overheated on day one. he “repaired” the car and gave “3 months warranty”. her daughter drove the car and it overheated. she bought it to a shop where she was told the engine was bad. when trying to use the warranty it turned out it was a lie. please beware of purchasing from this place!

Quick to help, honest and caring. While driving through on vacation, an engine light came on in my Subaru. I quickly searched for a nearby automotive shop to take a look. They weren’t open much longer, but they didn’t think twice about the time and made sure to help me anyway. They took a look and made sure I was ok to go on my way. Thankful they were there and quick to help. Great guys! I would highly recommend this business.

I stumbled across this place and told them of the limited time I had. They fit me into their tight schedule and fixed everything I needed in a timely manner. Loved the service. In spite of the negative reviews, my daughter went to Jims after seeing a vehicle she was interested in on Craigslist. Lets just say that the other reviewers that said the five star ratings were fluff to cover up what a disreputable establishment couldnt be more accurate. My daughter negotiated a deal with a salesman and paid cash. Signed a contract and was told it would take a few days to have the Jeep Patriot she purchased ready. Later the same day, the owner calls and says they cant honor the price and that the sales person sold the car too cheap! Rather than fight to hold them to the contract, we took our money back and will never look back. Never have I heard of an owner that would pull this kind of shady breach of contract, especially over $300 in a car deal. Trust me, Jims Autos name will get around even more. Reputation makes the business. Dont believe... do more homework than we did. Check out the BBB rating... F-. First let me say the first words out of Zachs mouth are we don’t fix the vehicles until they are sold. Well that is so not true because we have had so many problems with the car we bought from them. We picked it up on Monday 3/2 and the following 2 weekends It was back in their garage. The second weekend Zach couldn’t even call us to tell us the part didn’t come in so we can pick the car up they kept it over the weekend. Luckily my husband had off that Monday. We ended up taken the car to someone else and it cost us $1000.00. We still have a light on that they were suppose to fix and Zach hasn’t called us since. The garage we took it to can’t fix this problem and it’s a costly part. STAY AWAY AND DONT BUY FROM THEM. PAY THE EXTRA AND GO ELSEWHERE

This business lies and is deceitful, buyer be warned. Their actual rating should be 2.83! I was considering buying a vehicle from this place and was doing my due diligence by reading all the reviews when it came to my attention that their overall rating of 3.7 out of 5 stars has been inflated by twelve false 5 star reviews from relatives and possible associates. Furthermore since the do not deny any of the negative claims against them, as many businesses will give their side of the story, it can be believed that every 1 star review here is 100% accurate which is very scary if you think about it. As with everything, you must take all reviews with a grain of salt and make up your own mind but when there is a pattern of negative comments, it can not be ignored.

Take both of our vehicles to Jims to be fixed/serviced - very reasonably priced, honest, great service. Both of the brothers have always been polite and very kind.

I had a few weeks to look for a vehicle while waiting for an insurance check after a drunk driver totaled a vehicle I had purchased only 4 days prior. I did the research online for every vehicle that would suit my needs, eliminating certain models that are prone to problems when they get older. Keep in mind that there is no such thing as a perfect used car. I had a limited budget, as most of us do these days. I knew very well what to expect from a vehicle for the price I could afford. I went to various lots all over town and was shown vehicles with obvious issues and cosmetic flaws that were a bit too much to convince me to buy. I didnt waste time at lots with cars priced in the 6K and up range because I didnt have that to spend. All the lots with 4K vehicles were underwhelming, but I liked the selection at Jims that I saw posted online.Its up to the consumer to do the research first and know what you are getting into. If you want to buy a vehicle loaded with options for 4k, its going to have high miles on it. You have to compromise certain things and try to do the best you can within your budget. All used cars will require some repairs eventually. Drive a used car and put some yearly bucks into it to keep it running well, or lease a new vehicle if you have credit and pay every single month, right? Thats reality.Of the vehicles on the lot in my price range, I knew I wanted one of the two Kias that were available. My first vehicle not American made, but it got good reviews as a used car. I got a nice Sedona minivan with 125k on it - other vehicles I had already looked at were about the same mileage but either higher priced or really shabby looking and uncared for.Its common practice to get the vehicle ready and fixed up at the time of sale - not one dealer in my price range had a flawless vehicle ready to go. Z hooked up the Sedona for me. It didnt have a lot needed but I appreciated the detailing and the bit of mechanical work provided. I would expect that, and I got it. I bought it on a Saturday and it was road-ready, inspected and cleaned and good to go by Monday.Want to provide honesty for all here: when a starter wire came loose the second day I had it (no ones fault, these things happen), Jims had a tow truck to my house immediately and it was repaired within a couple hours.Driving it for a few days now. The engine kicks. The transmission shifts smoothly. The suspension is nice and the minivan glides, good springs, shocks, struts. The heater bakes and the cabin is warm in 5 minutes. The fluids were all good. Any little nicks in the paint were touched up and Ill do them again myself in the spring. No scratches, no dents. The undercarriage is rust-free. No rust around the doors. All lights work. All windows work. The cabin is in excellent condition. No rips in the upholstery, no flaws on the dash. A simple fuse replacement took care of a minor issue. Everything works, except the power sliding doors, but I bought it aware of this and dont care - its an expensive fix that I wouldnt expect any dealer to do. Ill admit the radio is jacked but I dont care about that, either. I didnt check it because I knew I was going to install my own anyway so it wasnt a condition of sale.I need to get my 80 year old mom around town. She can get into this vehicle easily. Its got a great safety rating. I bought a dome light that I would like replaced and Z is going to pay half and pop it on for me. You have to compromise on a 4k vehicle, folks. Absolutely you should expect initial reliability and for the vehicle to be presented to you looking good and running smooth. Thats what I got. Do your research first. No used car is going to be flawless. So far, I feel like I got what I paid for. I didnt feel pressured to buy it and would have walked if I didnt like it. I looked at another Sedona elsewhere that was more expensive and in bad condition. I knew what I wanted, knew what to expect, and I went and got it.

The guys were quick to respond to any repairs and reasonable in price. I also bought a used car and still running great highly recommend. Just bought second vehicle within 2 year period and btw not related. Great deal looked over the car I wanted to buy found a couple of small things that needed to be fix and they fixed them for me. They are always willing to work with a customer within reason. I was able to do all this within the same day.

Terrible service. I was sold basically a busted hunk of metal and whenever I took it back to get fixed they broke something else. They also told me it was cleared on the inspection yet everything’s that’s wrong with it won’t pass at all. It’s a literal death trap to drive this. There is no way that the car I purchased would have passed NYS inspection.

I would give them a 0 if possible. The absolute worst customer service. I paid for work that was never completed I know the basics about cars and when confronted the manager got defensive and lied. He made me feel bad for asking questions about the work done on the vehicle. He had me in tears .

I had engine problems with my truck and I was shopping around and went to Walzacks on Transit Rd but the pricing for the labor was just a bit to high. I drove to Jims Auto to have them check it out and the pricing, service and speedy turnover was amazing! My truck feels brand new. They gave me advice on how to treat my car to make it longer lasting which were simple tricks that I never knew about. Definitely recommend them to other customers.

If I could give this place -5 stars I would. I would not believe any of the 5 star reviews on here as they must be friends/family/associates of the owners. It is not logical that all of the reviews are either 5 stars or 1 star with barely anything in between.I purchased an SUV here and it has been nothing but problems ever since. They were supposed to replace the rotors before we picked it up and then never did it, the rear view mirrors are shattered, the check engine light was on and the electrical on the passenger side of the vehicle doesn’t work. (Meaning if I can manage to roll the window down, I won’t be able to roll it back up and the radio makes crackling noises whether it’s on or not). It was also suppose to have new tires on it, which it didn’t because they all gradually went flat and needed replacing within a few months of purchasing the car. The car can not drive on the thruway without shuttering and shaking as if the tires might completely pop off. There was no gas cap, which is an automatic fail as far as NYS inspections go, but they do their own “inspections”. We attempted to contact them within the first 30 days to see if we could get the car fixed, and they were rude and belligerent on the phone and then ignored us and never returned our calls again. I just went to have the car inspected and I would have to put $2,000+ worth of work into it in order for it to pass so the car will be going to the scrap yard this week.The most disturbing part of this whole thing is that I had my 3 year old daughter with me while purchasing this car and not only did they allow a person to drive around in essentially a death trap, they allowed a small child to be a passenger in that vehicle and they showed no remorse.

The guys at Jims Auto are the best! They always go above and beyond in everything they do. I have gone to them twice now and not only are they reasonable pricewise, but they do more than they need to. I went to them after a small accident that resulted in my door being dented in. They not only fixed they exterior, which looked amazing, they even cleaned and detailed the inside of my car. It looked great! I highly recommend them.

I got a Mazda 3 three years ago and it was good to me those three years no major work needed but brakes I was able to pull that same car up to the lot to purchase my suv three days ago so all the hate needs to stop. They are awesome.

We have been using them since we bought the car two years ago. They recently removed window tints and did our yearly inspection. Jims Auto does great work and at reasonable prices. We wouldnt take the car anywhere else.

Bought a 2003 Ford Explorer in May for 4G...next day it died while driving on highway...it was the catalytic converters and they replaced them....so nice of them...but this car has been a nightmare!!Replaced exhaust, now my tie-rod and ball joint blew on passenger front side...had to reinstate my AAA for $100, and come to find out the whole front end is so unsafe. It will now cost me well over $1100 for repairs PLUS Im told my front and rear seals need to be replaced.And my check engine light is on again...not a place that is trustworthy and I wished I would of thought of looking at reviews because Im a single parent and this is not acceptable!! Period!!

My parents had bought a car from them not even a year ago and the car over heats and the car doesnt heat anymore. They told my parents that there is nothing they can do for them. My parents are disable so its nice to know that there is a company out there that dont care about their customers. Like everyone else my parents relay on their car to get back and forth to appointments, take my nieces to school and every day to day things and now they cant because of your lack of service. I will be contacting the better business bureau to see what can be done or maybe channel 2, 4, and 7 news to tell everyone how bad your service is. We purchased a vehicle late February. We spent 5k on an Suv. They promised to detail it before we picked it up and that wasnt done. No biggie. We called because the check engine light was on within days and they said it was all set and fixed (they just reset light). Light went on and we brought to a third party to see why on again. Called the dealer and they fit in fixing a valve right before our 30 day mark. Thought the problem was solved and fixed since i waited with my 3 year old for over two hours. Wasnt driving regularly since our second vehicle and the darn light went on again. Brought to a mechanic to find it was the same exact problem that they were suppose to replace. Also found out i need over 3k in repairs. Catalytic converter, ball bearings, bad front tire, and more. The wonderful all inclusive warranty doesnt cover anything. They seemed nice and like they were good people, but very deceiving. Filing a complaint since all documented and should never have passed a dmv inspection. It just really upsets me since they know i have children in the car with these issues. Stay away!

They are very up front and honest regarding repairs, and they do great work on any make or model vehicle. I have been scorned by numerous mechanics in the past, but now that ive found jims auto, i have no problem driving over an hour to get to the shop every time i need work done. i have had imports as well as domestic vehicles serviced here and ive even purchased a winter vehicle from them. Their pricing is very fair and extremely affordable. The shop is continually growing and updating for a reason, they do good business. if i could give more stars i would. highly recommend. easy to find

I do not recommend this place to anyone, and have not recommend it to anyone. Just the awful expirence I had there. They make promises that they dont keep. I addressed the issue I had with my truck, which when I bought the vehicle the mirror is cracked, and the check engine light is on. I asked them how they did their inspection and they do it there. So something illegal is going on there. They wont return any of my calls or will not call me back for an appointment. Very very horrible place and big scammers.

Jims automotive is the worst is automotive car dealership I have ever been to. Not only did they lie to you and steal your money. But they put you in danger. I bought my car in December and it’s been nothing but problems since. First the heat broke so we took it back. Then it broke again so we took it back. Then it broke again so we took it back. Every single time it was the absolute worst backwards mechanics we have ever seen. Then eventually we fixed it ourselves. Then the breaks they supposedly replaced when they bought the car went. So we fixed it. Then my car dies randomly after I had been using it all day. The connectors are siezed and the battery is completely fried. My boyfriend is a mechanic and checked out this shops “handiwork” and was completely apaulled that this car was I my possession. And I’ve been told by many other mechanics that they are bad people who just want to make money off of you. This place is a legitimized scam. Please keep your children and loved ones safe by ignoring this POS shop. Worst business ethics I’ve ever seen.

Ive brought my car here for repairs 3 or 4 times now (tires, wear and tear, and 2 accidents) and have yet to be disappointed. The guys always go above and beyond and do great work, very reasonably.

DONT PURCHASE A VEHICLE HERE!! I purchased a Ford Explorer from here and it blew up within a few months after numerous other issues. The truck should have never been inspected and the DMV & BBB both got involved which they required that they fix it. After I received the truck back they yelled at me about getting NYSI involved because that gives them access to pry behind the scenes of the business. After I drove off the lot within a day or 2 the engine blew. At this point I gave up. They have the worst customer service, lie about their warrantys and do the minimum to get by. I also know 3 other people who had serious problems with cars purchased here and the gas station across the street will even warn you about buying from them.

It’s been 3 weeks and I still don’t have my car I put a down payment on and there not answering my calls went down there and ask how long until I can drive my car off the lot they said they have to to paper work for my carIt doesn’t take 3 weeks to get a registration and a license plate.

This was the worst place I ever brought a car from. 1st the tranny goes 2 weeks after having the truck, then they argue with me about fixing it. After they agree to put a new one in they put a rebuilt one in and dont hook it up right I had to have a real professional hook it up right. Not to mention they also told me that somebody tinkeredwith the engine that I also had to replace I would recommend this dshop to my worst enemy

We bought a car from them in June of 2021 and in that time we have had to have the transmission lines replaced as well and they say that they do inspection which while they do they don’t do a proper one as we have taken it to two mechanics and both have told us that our 2006 buick Reiner was not inspection passable and also told us that the many things wrong with it could not have been done in the three months since we bought it it is unsafe to drive so whatever you do don’t trust these guys and before you buy from them make sure you hire someone else to do the inspection because they will lie straight to your face and tell you that it passed inspection as of now we are getting it fixed by them and we still have to pay half the cost but we will not go to them ever again as our ball joints on the right side are loose and it’s leaking power steering fluid which would never pass inspection
