This is my favorite nail salon in Denver. I’ve tried going to many others but I always come back here. They’re very clean, extremely details and always do an amazing job. No where else I’ve found in Denver gives a manicure that lasts this long. I love the staff they all do an amazing job.

I hardly ever leave reviews but I feel morally obligated to on this nail salon. I have never in my life been talked to so horribly than by the young man who works at this salon. This past Friday I made an appointment and was told I had to show my vaccine card in order to be mask free during my service. Politics aside, the way I was talked to by this guy when I said I was uncomfortable showing my medical records in order to get my nails done was sickening. He had called me to confirm my appointment 30 minutes after I booked and I explained to him that I had actually just decided to take my business elsewhere. He rudely says “may I ask why you are so inconsiderate and didn’t call to cancel” (I had literally just decided to not go and was about to call) and I explained it was because I didn’t feel comfortable showing my medical records. (I am vaccinated, just feel its unnecessary to have to prove that to get my nails done). I was expecting him, as a man who works in customer service, to accept my decision and let it be, but this is where the verbal assault began. This man started to attack my character and essentially said I am pathetic and “live a sad life” all because I chose to go somewhere else. I was quite literally in shock by the way he was talking to a customer. I then asked him if he always talks to customers this way and he told me “only to the rude ones”. I didn’t feel as though I was being rude whatsoever just by not being comfortable with their policy. I then told him that I respect their policy and would just like for him to respect my boundaries and not be so disrespectful. He then laughed at me and went on about how my life is comical, sad, etc. I then hung up because I felt the conversation did not need to go on a second further. I understand others have had similar experiences to mine with this guy, but not much can be done considering he is the only one in the salon who can speak fluent English. I hope other people who also experience this type of harassment by this man speak up! I know this salon is in a convenient location but would recommend you stay away unless you want your day possibly ruined!!

If your looking for a calm, relaxing, stress-relieving atmosphere with very friendly staff this is your place. They are timely, efficient, patient, and the environment is SO calm and relaxing. Both my gel manicure & pedicure were exceptional. Thank you Yun Chang and owner for creating the environment that a nail salon should embody. I will definitely be back.

A fantastic nail salon in a super convenient location for those who live in the LoDo, Union Station, and LoHi neighborhoods. Parking in the area can be a little tough but doable. Professional, well-priced, timely, and clean. Nice, relaxing atmosphere. Amber is great.

Nail story is my go-to spot in downtown Denver. Great staff and their work is amazing! I’m in love with my fall nails 🤗 little pricey but worth the convenience and professionalism.

Paid the extra $8 for callous removal- don’t waste your money it did not work and i have nearly the same amount of dried callus two days post pedi. i went for my appointment right before closing so perhaps they were rushing to go home. i even asked the nail tech to pleasure ensure to remove most of the callous.

Amber.... simply the best. Fast, precise, kind, and fun to talk to. I will never cheat on her ever again. She’s simply the best around.

I used to live right by mail story, so I went because it was close. I didn’t realize what a gem I had found. I consistently receive the highest quality pedicures and gel manicures. I travel to the East and west coasts frequently and have yet to receive such high quality attention to detail. I recently moved across town so I stopped going for a while, because parking is a pain, but I decided to just deal with it, because even in my high end of town, I have yet to experience the same high level of consistency and quality.

Katie just called me out because she was not happy with the tip I left her. This nail salon is conveniently located so I went there again thinking they would do a good job if they recognized me as a return customer. I was mistaken. The suggested tip is just that, a suggestion. I don’t leave a tip because it’s expected, I leave a tip because it is EARNED. Very nervy and unprofessional!

I have been going to this salon for over two years and they are amazing! I’m a perfectionist and they definitely feed my neeed to have my nails beautifully done. The prices are completely reasonable and the staff is always polite. I don’t think I will stop coming here for my nails!

The worst experience I’ve ever had at a nail salon! During my manicure, the nail technician was very rough and made my cuticles bleed three times so badly she had to apply styptic powder. The manager was incredibly rude and accused me of being unreasonable. If you would like to enjoy your experience, do not go here!

Angie was great! She was so kind and helped me pick a color (and hung in there with me when I changed my mind a few times). I really appreciate the care she put in to my nails... they turned out great!

I have been going to Nail Story consistently for the last 6 months or so. They are efficient, kind and provide a high quality service. Ive paid almost twice as much for manicures at other places and inevitably the gel is peeling within a week. I get a gel manicure every three weeks and the gel is still on almost perfectly and with almost zero peeling!

I have been 3 times and each time they are very friendly and polite. They do a great job and my gel lasts a long time when I come here. They are quite a fast service, which I know some people don’t like but I love a quick service when it comes to nails

Gel polish doesn’t usually last more than a week for me, but at Nail story it consistently lasts 2 weeks. Manager is good with scheduling and nail technicians are very kind and courteous. I usually request Lexie, she does a great job shaping my nails how I want. Only negative is that they don’t offer acrylic nails, so if you break a nail, all they can do is glue it (which never stays).

I love this place! I get really nervous when I have to find a new nail salon because I’m concerned about cleanliness, interactions with staff, and the quality of service. Nail Story gets five stars on all three categories in my book! Staff is so nice and now that I’ve been in a few times they seem to be remembering me even though they see so many people every week. I always feel welcomed and well cared for while I’m there. My gel manicures last longer than any other place I found in Denver. The pedicures are nice too. Those are the only two services I have tried so far, and I’ve been extremely Pleased with them! They also have a great selection of colors!Plus, this may just be a picky thing on my part, but I don’t like when I’m in a salon and they have a TV show blaring. Nail Story always has delightful music on instead.

Originally was planning to go to Base Coat and so glad I went here instead. Did an amazing job shaping, cleaning up my cuticles and painting my toes. Also the massage they give almost made me fall asleep it was so relaxing. All for $35. 10/10 recommend.

I came here with my girlfriend and tried a manicure and a pedicure for the first time. It was the most amazing feeling ever! I was shy at first but the ladies were very nice and there were others guys at the salon. They trimmed my nails short, cleaned my cuticles, and i did the extra callus removal ($7) which was so worth it. They shave bottom of your feet with the rotating sand paper. Now my feet are baby soft! I would definitely come here again. My nails not only got done but my nails got a story!

As you walk in staff was nice asked if i wanted something to drink that was a plus. Other than that positivity my experience was not a good one; my nail tech was rude, gel manicure started to lift after 3 days, pedicure polish had bubbles underneath the paint also the environment and entire salon seemed unsanitary. Sums up my experience. I live in the area, was truly hoping to have a great experience so that I can walk right over for all my manicure and pedicures, it’s to bad.

My friend introduced me to this salon after I told her the gel manicures I was getting at another salon werent lasting.This salon does a fantastic job! Its been three weeks since my first gel manicure and they are only now starting to chip. Ive never had to pay to get the gel taken off before because it usually starts peeling and then comes off in sheets. Not the case here! This color is staying put

Unhappy with the service here, I witnessed the employees not stand behind their work after a girl walked in and only 4 days after having her nails done and all of them were peeling off. They said she would need to pay to have them fixed despite saying they would last 2-3 weeks at least. They were overall unhelpful and really turned me away from this place.You can also see on several other reviews on this list that many people have had their nails peel away within a week, so this store is certainly not doing a quality job.Id recommend finding another nail shop, go to Tip to Toe Nails instead (its rated better and Ive had good service there).

I will absolutely not be going back. I was looking forward to trying a new salon in Denver, but was incredibly disappointed. I was hardly greeted at the door, my pedicure lasted a total of 20 minutes, no one said goodbye when I left, and there was no attention to detail.

Very clean workplace and nice staff, they had limited colors in gel nails, not much to choose from and they don’t do simple nail designs (I wanted a letter on one nail), other than that nails turned out great

Some ladies I work with recommended this place and I was really looking forward to trying it. They said the manicures were fantastic and they even included a shoulder massage. I had scheduled an appointment and arrived about 20 min early. They seemed upset by this, even though I mentioned that I knew I was early and was prepared to wait. They rushed through the manicure (and my nails look like they were rushed through- uneven polish, edges not quite the same color all the way through) and I sure didnt get any shoulder massage (although, the women next to me did). I was really hoping to have found a great nail place, but it seems Ill have to keep looking.

SUCH great attention to detail! I dont often leave a nail salon feeling completely satisfied but today I did! They also give 10% off if you pay in cash.

The ladies here are very nice and were accommodating of our 4-person walk in. I received a gel/shellac mani pedi. The technician was thorough, had great attention to detail and the end result was beautiful. Unfortunately one of my nails broke before I even left while tying my shoes, and another broke later that day. I specifically get gel manicures so my nails stay long, but this particular set is thin and flimsy. I would recommend asking for thick gel if you have the same issue.

I have been here several times (about 5) because it is convenient to my friends and my apartment; each time I complain about how much I dislike this place. At this last time, I will not go again. My nails peeled off in less than a week - I went and got them fixed and they peeled again the next day! (gel nails).They rush you in and out of the door. I like to relax and enjoy myself when im getting my nails done, but they shuffle you in and out. They started my nails while I was picking out my color and still had my jacket on!One lady made 3 of my fingers bleed, and my nails didnt even look like I got a manicure.I REFUSE to go back, especially for the price.

Location is great. I was very disappointed with the service and experience. I LOVE 5th ave nails and thought I would give a closer location a try. Huge mistake.Tools are dirty and my hands looked worse when I left. Not soft at all.

Nail Story was excellent! I happened to find it on a Saturday morning killing time in downtown Denver while on a layover. Dami was so sweet and professional. She even put on my socks and shoes for me after my pedi! The salon has a nice atmosphere and I appreciated the extra shoulder massage!

Almost anything beyond a solid color or French manicure they said was too hard

I own an Elder Concierge company that caters to senior citizens at the luxury senior living community nearby and after years of taking clients here regularly, I was told by the owner, Angela, that it would cost “extra” for these seniors and then one of her staff said to me that “they are ALL hard” and that none of the staff there “wanted them.” These are affluent ladies who have mani’s & pedis regularly and tip well. This is ageism and they discriminate!!!!!

A little more than I usually pay for gel but Mini did an AWESOME job! Worth it and will return!

RUDE/INEXPERIENCED/OVERCHARGED: Been here twice because my boyfriend bought me a giftcard. Terrible service, had to keep asking them to do a better job. Too scared to push my cuticles back, seriously! Literally got BANNED because I asked them to fix the bad paint job they put on the second time I went. Would not recommend this place. They dont even steralize their instruments. I have NEVER been banned from anywhere I was so shocked.

Will NEVER come back here. We walked in and were not greeted by anyone. We sat down and waiting for 10-15 minutes before water was put in the tub for our feet to soak. One lady came over and started to work on my feet and then stopped and walked away. HORRIBLE.
