We were in the midst of rebuilding our school website, on WordPress with initial designs by another company, when Covid hit and the project stalled. Picking up the threads of a project in the midst of running a school during the pandemic seemed impossible until we found New Media. They brought the can-do and the follow-through that made completing all 80 pages of our new site possible. Also, fun. We had easy access to a cheerful and talented team, communicating on Basecamp and in work sessions via Zoom. Emphasis here is on “work” sessions, in that they didn’t waste any time and just got the job done with skill and efficiency. They made so many great hacks to our initial framework that the end result was far better than we had anticipated.We used Basecamp to track all phases of the project, super helpful. Whenever we had a question, the team didn’t just answer it; they provided screen recordings of the fixes, like mini training videos that we can store for future reference or training. I love having a partnership with go-to experts so I can ask questions as they come up, whether it’s recommendations about best practices in social media or integrating our email marketing with our website signup form or even choosing the best plug-ins for our site.We couldn’t be happier with the outcome of this project, and now we’re looking forward to working with New Media on some digital marketing projects to get our site in front of even more potential school families and job candidates.

I worked with Steve’s team on a redesign of our corporate website and on a rigorous SEO campaign. We have multiple locations and that makes it complicated. Every location is competing with the others, so the process is a lot more involved than regular SEO. That’s what my last vendor didn’t seem to understand. I couldn’t believe it. New Media took on the migration of our website when we were in a jam, even after we realized the site wasnt built properly, thus inheriting a troubled site. They worked with us to fix critical issues, and hosted our site for over a year. The site we initially had was too troubled to maintain so we are no longer with New Media but they made sure we were up and live elsewhere before closing our site on their end. When I contacted newmedia, I really had no idea what I was getting into. By profession I’m a sign language interpreter, primarily using BSL and working the northwest of England. The whole website business is beyond what I do.
