The Auto care team at Honest 1 is the most caring, professional, personable, courteous, knowledgeable and honest people and shop that I have ever come across. They work on all of our vehicles from Mercedes Benz to 6.7 litre diesel F350 trucks and they have been an absolute blessing for our family and businesses. Recently purchased a used Mazda for my wife after her van motor blew. I had a feeling their were issues with the car and took to H1. Andrew and AJ were truly awesome and helpful. Made the experience quick and painless. Come to find out the manger had the same car and was able to calm my fears by honestly explaining that my wife car was not as bad as I thought. A bit pricey for the labor but well worth it for the customer service they provide. Will definitely bring my own car for service.

There was a misunderstanding on my part that ended up resulting in a disagreement between myself and an associate (Andrew). Though it was heated on both ends, in fairness, I raised my voice, and I DO NOT fault Andrew for defending himself or the company. While I was noticeably upset, and worked up, with another customer in the store, Andrew took it upon himself to resolve our situation swiftly, graciously, and with the kindness you often dream about, but rarely see. This gentleman, although stout, and clearly ex-football in appearance, allowed me to humbly apologize to him for loosing my temper, and receive his free gift of resolution.I ended up embarrassing the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Andrews calm, cool collection of experience and humility truly was awe-inspiring, not just to witness, but to have demonstrated on. Thank you friend, I appreciate everything.

While driving home the other night, my car started driving louder than normal. I called the local dealership the next morning to see if they would look at my Subaru. They were completely booked, so I called Honest-1, who were closer to me. They told me that they would fit me in if I could bring the car and leave it. Without a pause, Andrew told me that he could get me a ride home if I lived in the area. I did not even have to ask. As a retail employee, I believe that being able to fulfill a client’s needs before they even need to ask is a sign of great service. I took my car in and spoke to Andrew right away. I explained my concerns, and then asked if they could also do an oil change. He said that would not be a problem. He then told me up front the cost of the diagnostic and oil change with possible reasoning for difference in pricing(extra oil needed etc). My chariot home pulled up and I was able to continue my off day work. A few hours later, I received a text message with a link to service needs and pictures. It turns out that the weld from the exhaust to the muffler had failed and was just hanging loose. I called the technician, AJ, and he told me that the much more cost effective path would be to take the vehicle to a muffler place he recommended to have them reweld it. He said that he could replace the muffler, but it would cost a lot more. I was expecting to only receive the second option and would have to eat whatever cost they quoted. He did not push me to another location to get rid of me. He was giving me the best solution for the least amount of money. He wasn’t concerned with the company wallet, but instead, mine. I was able to go to the other place and get the flange rewelded, but it will be Honest-1 that I will return to. One fact I’ve found about Florida is that when a business suggests honesty or integrity in the name, they have come through on those aspects every time. Many people expect to be lied to or cheated, but when I get the chance to choose a place that announces Honesty, I take the chance. They would not still be in business around here if there was not truth in advertising.

The experience is the same as always . Too smooth and relaxing. When I call and AJ picks up it’s just a quick and smooth conversation to set up the appointment . Then when I get to the store I feel comfortable. The way Andrew greets me makes me feel welcome and as if I’m talking to one of my boys you know . Just something light . I would say this 110% the place to get your car work done!!

Technician B.S. did a phenomenal job on my mustang. He replaced the evaporator core. A/C is now working as it should and blowing real cold! B.S. also did an awesome job putting my car back together and left it as clean as when I brought it in. Andrew was a pleasure to deal with. They do what they say. I took my truck in the morning at 7:30am and they had it diagnosed and done buy 4pm. This is great, especially since I had taken my truck to another shop, with this same issue prior to this location and they kept it for 3 days but never even touched it.I recommend them 100%

My vehicle had a couple of major problems and these guys found the problem and got it fixed quicker than I expected. They will be my regular car doctors! Customer service is outstanding, thats an A+.

Ive been to H1 a few times for oil changes and theyve always been great, but recently my engine started having issues while I was headed home and I was able to limp it to their location. Not only did they give me a ride home while they worked on diagnosing the issue, they sent me video and photos of my engine and a full workup of what needed to be done. The cost for all that diagnostic was almost 1/2 of what my dealership would charge me for a way less complex problem!Theyre so nice and professional and the waiting area is spotless and welcoming. I always feel safe and that they have my (and my cars) best interests at heart.

My service representative was very professional and knowledgeable about the service I needed. His honesty about supplying low end parts to satisfy a low ball quote was correct but he suggested we use a more premium product for a quality repair that would withstand the test of time. This company is as honest as a snake oil salesman. Took two different vehicles in at different times for different problems, one for brake issues and one for transmission issues. I work all the time so my wife is the one who actually took the vehicles in. For the brake issues, they told her it would be almost $2,000 to fix and they told her she couldn’t leave because it was unsafe to drive. Said the car needed all new pads, rotors, etc. I took it to the dealer and it needed front pads and a new brake sensor for a total of $350. For the transmission issues, they told my wife it wasn’t safe to drive and the estimate for the transmission was over $10,000. Took it to the dealer who fixed it for $1,800. Bottom line: if you like being ripped off, this place will be your jam but if you want honest service, avoid this place like the plague.

Had the transmission fluid flushed/changed. Glad I did because the transmission sounds and feels great. The customer service at Honest 1 is great. Fast and flows easily from drop off to pickup. I feel confident in there advice and will use them as my main repair shop.

Very courteous and prompt. Had 10am appointment for oil and filter change. Car brought in at 1015am and out some 25 minutes later. I had requested in a note that they check spare for air and that was the only thing they did NOT do. I checked when I got home and found only 29 lbs air instead of 60 lbs..Michael

We get a text when the car is finished in which they once more say what they found and how they corrected it. I no longer get anxious about my cars service/repairs because I go to Honet-1 Auto Care. The service is great and the service advisor is there for your info. Most importantly my car runs fine!

Not only did they misdiagnose my car, they tried to charge me over $8k to fix the wrong thing! If I have any car troubles I won’t dare even think about bringing my car to this place ever again. 0/10 would not recommend

Went in for motor mount noise, they said 1 of three new Volvo motor mounts are bad that were just replaced by some one else. And they wanted to charge me when they could not say which one of the three were bad. That would cost over and above the 89 diagnostic fee upfront extra?? Went to Volvo they diagnosed it in 10 minutes. It was the upper motor mount that was never replaced that was bad. All three bottoms were good. Will never go back. Do not pay for a diagnostic fee when they can diagnostic the right part! Also WAY overpriced !

The oil change was done in a timely matter even before the promised time very happy with service.

An excellent shop with a 10 out of 10 rating in professionalism, cleanliness and technology. They text a complete report that has pics or vid of parts of the car that are potentially requiring maintenance. Can’t say enough about this shop. The important note is if your budget conscience then this may not be the right shop as they are priced higher from my experiences. Will I return again? Absolutely!

Very clean. Very professional. My truck was down and this was about to put my family in a bind. They offered to even give me a ride home if I could drop my truck off. They fixed my vehicle in very decent time. I have used the big Ford and Chevy dealership service departments where my wife and I bought our cars. This place blows them out of the water. I will only use these guys from here on out.

UP DATE as of March 24, 2021. I took my vehicle back on the appointment date and Andrew and the staff were right on top of things. While my estimate came out much higher then I thought as there were more issues with my vehicle then I thought, Andrew worked with me to get the needed repairs I needed done today and written estimate for the other issues I need to take care soon but we’re able to wait. There was no pressure to get it all done now and pay much more now then intended. PLUS after work was done I found out they give a 3 YEAR 36,000 MILE WARRANTY with the repair NATION WIDE. While I hope and pray they continue to work me (no reason I see they won’t) with further repairs, I’d don’t mind paying a little more for quality work WITH A WARRANTY then some other place I don’t know either and doesn’t back their work this way.They also showed me pictures of what was wrong and a complete inspection of the vehicle.Thanks Andrew and Honest 1.Just moved and retired to the area and have no idea about a good mechanic. I have tried SEVERAL in the area trying to get my wife’s car looked at and have been told when to bring our car in just to find out they were booked a d could not see us. I checked this place out and the lady was very nice and said I would get a call back shortly from one the guys about tires. Am still not sure if my wife’s car needs tires or what but tired of putting out money. While we just bought the car (used) here in the area less then a month ago and have put all new breaks and rotors all the way around and had the front axels worked on. Not sure if vibration in front end is from needing tires, a CV boot or motor Mount. Praying I can get into this place SOON (Andrew did call me back right away and was great). Hoping it is just the tires and I don’t put all new tires on and still have the vibration issue and have to do something else. In 30+ years LE work I’ve seen a lot and so far this place seems nice and on target.

I unfortunately had the ill-fated screw in my tire and was losing pressure fast - especially with the changing weather. I called and made an appointment and was seen same-day.Everything was detailed for me ahead of time and I was extremely impressed with their transparent process. I received updates in real time, including pictures of each step along the way. They even performed a standard maintenance check and full inspection.I would definitely highly recommend.

Everyone that works here is friendly, professional & efficient. Shout out to Andrew & Diana for great customer service. We were on our way to St Augustine for a weekend trip when a tire went under the vehicle and busted the fuel line. They didn’t have the part needed, but were able to use a repair kit to build us a new fuel line. We were quoted a fair price and the work was completed in under an hour. Took car in for one thing was told that it was ready so I went to pick it up and they had cause malfunction to another thing that was working when I took it in so I had to leave it again. This was not the first time I took my car to them and the same thing happened the first time. I decided to give them a second chance but they will not get me for the third time as a customer. And their prices is very high and questionable.

I have been coming here for years and now I completely regret it. I am a young female, dont know a lot about repairing my car but I try to keep up and I have been taken advantage of. Money poured down the drain. When I came in for an oil change (which I have many times) they could not find my records and even said this is your first time here. They found I needed work done costing around $1,500 that Ive had done there before, but could not find my records- super convenient. I found my own records about a month later and brought them in and the work I had done is about 23 days out of warranty- so I spent $1,500 on a bad job that needed to be completely replaced and was 23 days too late. And even after clearly showing that I am upset they offered me nothing. NOTHING. I called wanting to speak to a manager or the owner and spoke to their front desk guy (who Ive been working with this whole time) and he was extremely rude, he raised his voice at me, and defended his poor customer service. NOT the way you speak to a lady! As a loyal customer who has been coming there for years, I am done. I was told I would get a call on Thursday, they do have the opportunity to make this right, and I hope they do because I have recommended a ton of my friends and family to this place.

I have resided on and off in Deltona since 1978. It great to see that we have come back to the basics of professionalism and excellent customer care - the very essence of what Deltona was built on. I would highly recommend Honest 1 for your auto care needs.

Kind, courteous & upfront on pricing...Andrew got my car running correct again & didnt cost me an arm & leg lol. The complimentary shuttle service was great & Diana (the driver) is a very nice lady. They took me home & picked me up once my car was prepared! They send you up to date status via txt on your vehicle & call once theyve figured out the problem! Brought my car in for assumable a bad sensor. They provided a shuttle service back to my home. They then proceeded to send detailed text messages about everything wrong with the car including why I brought it in. I was able to pick and choose what I wanted done before they charged anything. Very decent prices and quality work and time.

Went in because vehicle ac stopped cooling and vehicle was sluggish starting. Made an appointment online, was seen as soon as I arrived. Nice clean environment, staff was very friendly, courteous, and professional. I felt very comfortable and at ease dealing with them. Recieved courtesy transportation home while my vehicle was serviced. They called shortly thereafter to inform me of repairs needed and costs. When all was done they came to pick me up and return me to the shop. Prices for repairs were reasonable, service was A+, and I have cold air again, woohoo !!! I will definitely be using their services in the future.

I love A1 Honest in Deltona, the staff is amazing, always friendly, professional, ready to assist you. The work is done with care and they are very thorough. The facility is always very clean and very very comfortable.

Gross overcharging for parts. Even considering OEM quality. I have found that prices charged to me for these parts were marked up around 100% of market value. I was also lied to about a part costing over $500 from a dealership. I checked with the dealership and found that they actually charge $214.16 for it. Although the price of over $500 was not charged to me, it was still deceptive and I was actually charged $352.31, which is $138.15 more than what it actually costs. I feel taken advantage of so you can read more details at cases I filed with the Attorney General and Better Business Bureau. I will not go away quietly.Addendum - 1/26/21 - Received a call from them requesting to speak to me to resolve this. First, the person I spoke with initially pretended not to know what the complaint was about when she clearly read it right here. I presented the facts of the case, that the parts installed in my vehicle, according to OEM manufacturers and the Kia dealership, were less than half the cost of what they charged me. They had no factual information to present. Just blanket statements that they dont price gouge and we have to make money. I understand its a business, and profits must be made, but charging more than double the price is shameful. After I brought my car in they also told me I have an oil leak. Ive looked under the car everyday since and guess what? No oil leak. Something fishy is going on here. And I will be sure that I can make as many people as I can aware of what is going on at this shop.Reply to owner response - 1/27/21 - The owner response misses the point of my complaint. I have no quarrel with the fact that I was quoted a price and it was honored. My problem is the gross overcharging for the parts that were installed. A serpentine belt for my vehicle (OEM) ranges from $20-$30 max. Why then was I charged $80? I was verbally lied to when I was told that the dealer charges over $500 for a belt tensioner. I checked with the dealer and they charge approximately $214 for this part. Although they honored the originally quoted price of $352, thats still $150 more than the dealer charges, and I resent the fact that they tried to have me believe that they paid over $500 for it. As far as the manager discount, I guess you can compare that to what they do at big box retailers like Macys. Mark up their merchandise 100-200%, then provide a small discount to create the illusion of good intention. They knew that my vehicle was disabled, and I was held hostage to their unscrupulous price gouging. Word to the wise, if your car is broken down and youre reading this with the goal of finding an actual honest mechanic, stay far away from Honest 1.

Fair price for work but the additional perks have made me a repeat customer. The shop is clean and relaxing. The shuttle service makes it easy for 1-car families. The updates via pictures and suggested services was awesome. This is a place I would feel comfortable sending my wife who knows nothing about cars.

Ive been to the shop before for an oil change and they were great. This time it was a little bit of an emergency cuz my car was exhibiting a problem. I made it to the shop and they were very professional and kind and took care of the problem within a day. No one likes to hear the bad news of a expensive repair but I had no doubt that they would fix it and Ill be on the road again . After some time, I was called over to the desk and informed that one of the things I wanted done wasnt really necessary at this time. I took my car there after a big chain tire store told me I needed $800.00 worth of rear suspension work. They confirmed that I did NOT need any work done on my 2015 Chevy. They sent me a full break down of my car with pictures. Im beyond impressed and grateful for their honesty. Thank you for not taking advantage of someone that doesnt know any better! I will return!

I brought my 2005 vehicle to them for brake work and I was a little worried about it because of the fact my car had a lot of rust and I was afraid that it would be too late or too expensive to fix. They were open and honest about work and cost which turned out great.They also gave me an inspection on other issues and priorities for them. From the moment I first spoke with Ira, I knew I was in great hands. I brought my car in to get inspected and met with Andrew, who was nothing short of amazing. Honest-1 is my go to auto shop. I started coming just for oil changes and was instantly impressed by how nice the shop and customer service was. They have a computer, coffee, other beverages, snacks, and a toy area for the kids to play during the wait. Have returned for other car repairs and referree all my family here. The staff is knowledgeable and thorough. While your car is being inspected, they upload inspection results complete with photos and videos to your customer profile so you can see what they are seeing and make educated decisions regarding your car care. They give the facts and dont pressure you to have work done. They even offer financing with interest free options if you qualify. Will continue to bring my car to Honest-1 for basic maintenance and full repairs.
