After calling around for a rental that I can drop off at another location, Hertz was the only one that would accommodate me. I spoke with Daniel who was great. He explained every option available to me. Inspected the car to make sure nothing was wrong before I drove off. Great customer service. I would highly recommend this location.

Asked in advance the information for renting with credit/debit card. They said there would be no problem because the only thing needed was to make reservation 24 hours in advance or more and deposit would be $500 which I understood and agreed to. When I went actually to pick up the car after making and PAYING for reservations FAR from home, THEN they said that they needed to make a credit check (which causes a hard inquiry) and depending on the result is that they know if I could make the rental or not. If that would have been said to me when I took the time to call directly and made the reservation WITH THE LOCATION AGENT (not online), I would have reserved and payed for a beach house that I wont he able to use so, I AM LOOSING THAT MONEY. They dont make themselves accountable for the mistakes, they just say no and thats it. NEVER WILL RECOMMEND !!!

I am writing this review two months after my experience. I didnt want to leave a review in the heat of the moment. This has been the worst, most horrendous service Ive ever received from a car rental agency. The entire experience was disgusting from the start. To resume, we arrived at the agency and our car that had been reserved was not available. They said they lost the keys to the car, even though the car was sitting at the front door of the office. They they offered us an upgraded car and charged us extra for it. Fine, I agreed. I needed the car urgently and could not shop around. I called a few days later to extend our reservation, they confirmed it. After I return the car, I was charged almost double the daily amount from my original daily amount. No one told me of any price changes,. There isnt even anything in the fine print about it. I went over everything. Now, almost 90 days later, I am still trying to resolve this issue and am being overcharged almost $500! I will never, ever, ever, ever, ever use Hertz again. Never.

This location is the worst rental place I’ve ever got a car from! I am a Gold 5 star member! I rent from all over the country monthly sometimes everywhere! I have a house in Delray and use the rental to get me to airport to get back to Boston (home) . These guys don’t clean or care about you! They give you the car with no gas and say return with what in it! I got 20 miles to airport and get charged full tank every time! They need to get people with actual brains to work at this spot! Great spot but lazy and irresponsible employees! Every one of them that work there!

They are crooked at this office. DIdnt have my car, practically forced me to upgrade becuase the car I paid for and reserved was taken, then charged me more. And when I returned the car, I got a bill with almost double what was originally charged. They said their rates had changed. I was never informed of anything. I feel like Ive been robbed. I would die before I used Hertz again.

On Friday am. Danny was incredibly kind in telling me the luxury vehicle we had booked was unavailable.However, I did inform him we had a funeral Monday afternoon - we did need a luxury vehicle for the procession.Danny understood and promised to call me that afternoon. No response..So, I called at 8am sharp Monday..Robert picked up after the 4th attempt- informed me no vehicles better than full size were available. .I request Danny call me back. No call, no missed call, no voicemail from Danny.Extremely disappointed- I travel extensively before COVID, and this customer service is more like Thrifty or Sixt, not Hertz or Enterprise! Especially no offer of making it right, a transfer from another location OR from another agency. I am not a “one star” reviewer, but this situation was heartbreaking..After multiple email and FB messages, I never found a resolution to my concerns. Only auto generated responses that it was “being looked into”!.Edit: upon returning Danny made me whole by compensating one rental day. I believe he does the work of 3 people!

Called one week in advance for the reservation of a convertible. They said they would get one from a different fleet for me by the pick up date. Called one day prior to pick up and was told that no they do not have a convertible. Now I am left scrambling to find the car I wish to rent elsewhere. No heads up given, I would have gone into and been told this the day of pick up. Smh

Horrible customer service all way round. This location checked all the boxes of what not to do. They are rude over the phone and in person. They do not go through the terms and conditions or try to explain anything. You feel extremely rushed as if they want you gone. I would not recommend this place.

Short hours, forget weekends. Always made me wait. I am a hold member. I left a garage door opener in a car and they called me right away. Fantastic! They told me they would FedEx it to me after I gave them my credit card. Great! 3 weeks later, no remote. I called them up and they never mailed it 😒. I had to go back to pick it up. 5 star opportunity reduced to 3 stars.

I wish I could give them zero stars. I had a reservation to pick up a car at 6pm. When I went to pick up the car there was a sign on the door saying they closed at 4pm. No one there. No instructions for picking my car up. No phone call informing me of the early closing time. NOTHING. AND they are closed for the entire weekend so no trip for me.When I called customer service they said there was nothing they could do.Hertz is the worst.

John and the team at Delray Beach jumped through every hoop to make sure were taken care of including switching us into a better a vehicle at Fort Lauderdale airport. John gave us his business card with the direct contact person at FLL to facilitate the switch. Thats good service!However, upon arrival at FLL, the management team claimed to be completely in the dark and clueless about any of this. Someone dropped the ball and Ide venture to say it was Andre the manager at Hertz FLL. The other manager Rod did however put us in a vehicle, not what we wanted but he adjusted the price to reflect the downgrade. Unfortunately the process took an additional 2.5 hours out of our itinerary so we were terribly late to our event.To add insult to injury I left my cellphone in the vehicle and have not been able to retrieve it. I know it was in the car because I had made blue tooth calls on the way back to Hertz. Enjoy my Samsung S10 whoever you are. (lost item reported)

Over a period of twelve months, Ive dealt with seven car rental companies in Palm Beach County and Hertz Delray stands head and shoulders above the rest. To quote another review: Prompt, efficient and courteous service, I will use these great folks again. Great, professional, helpful staff (I dealt mostly with Ron.) I have already recommended this Hertz office to friends visiting from out of town.

Ive never had a more difficult time getting someone on the phone in my entire life. I called 78 times in one day and the phone was either busy or I was promoted with a recording and transferred to corporate. I needed to renew my reservation so I wasnt charged a late fee. It took up my entire day and still wasnt able to get a single person from the local location on the phone. Unbelievable.

Rented a Hertz auto at the Palm Beach airport Saturday night. Sunday morning turned the car on and light came on indicating tire issue. Maybe low pressure. We were surprised that Hertz doesn’t check tire pressure before letting customers take them. Nevertheless, we took time out of our vacation and drove to the Delray Hertz location on Tuesday morning. Husband waited in line a long time. The manager told him to take the car to a gas station and put air in the tires!!?? Gee really???!!. Soooo helpful. Not. Um, seriously, we are senior citizens, don’t have quarters, were dressed for dinner and shouldn’t have to do this. He did not offer to put air in for us even though we later found out they actually have compressed air on site. Extremely annoyed. Manager is lazy total jerk named Harvey Bello. After I came in and complained more, he said go around back and someone will put air in. We did that. No one was there. Tired of waiting. We left. Never using Hertz again.

This lady is more preoccupied about replying to her whatsapp messages than actually helping me. My 2-week rental seemed to be a bother to these guys. We were shuffled from rep-to-rep and car-to-car for over an hour, just to get out the door with our weeks-ahead reserved car. I understand were just Gold Members, but I shudder to think how we would have been handled if we werent.This location is NOT up to Hertz standards! Its with locations like this one that cause Avis and Enterprise to seem O.K.In the future well drive a little further to the Hertz agency at 3175 Belvedere Rd (@ S Dixie Hwy) in WPB and once again get great Hertz service.

Hertz location and car were fine and price was reasonable. The car itself, a Hyundai Sonata drove well.I was handed two keys (hard-wired together; I hesitated to literally break chain between the two keys). After I drove away, I realized I should have asked why two (2) keys ?.The car radio was stuck on AM, I was unable to change to FM, and Users Manual had no entry for Radio, or if there was an entry for radio, it was well-hidden. Also, Sonata headlight controls were not intuitive, and I wasted time after dark to get the headlights on. These are observations about the Sonata, not about Hertz. Message: I should have exercised headlights and radio with Hertz rep before driving away with one key (not two).

I was charged nearly $50 for using the turnpike on 2 separate days. Hertz did not tell me that buried in the contract is a statement which says you will be charged $5 for all the days you have the car if you ever use a toll road. Complete scam.

Car was not in a good condition. I had the car for more than 20 days while my car was in the body shop, When I tried to return the car the obligated me to take the car to get a detailed or pay $200, because were a few dog hair in the car. I do have a big dog that like normal dog sheds, jowehow I never carry my dog in the car, bc I like my car super clean, however is normal to whom have animals once in a while have hair stuck to clothes, and that was happened, had a few dog hair in the driver sit. My husband tried to talk with the manager, the manager scalated with my husband calling him white homie boy, asking him to leave the premises or he would get his white asss in jailWas a horrific scene. I am so shaking up, I will never ever rent from Hertz in Delray again and definitely not recommend to anyone

Liars!!I made a reservation 4 weeks in advance and upon my arrival no vehicle fitting my request was available. Instead they downgraded me to a much smaller SUV that could not accommodate my family and my stuff. The worse part is their attitude was take or leave it WE DONT CARE! I had no choice but to take it. They charged my credit card for the full size larger SUV and I have not been able to get a credit. Calling them has been a waste, and calling corporate is worse! This company is not worth your business, STAY AWAY!

I had to call Hertz to arrange being collected from my address to get to their location rather than them calling me. Also, tried to call to ask questions about early return and being dropped off at work after, supposed to open at 8am and no one picked up the phone in the six times I tried to call from 8am-9.30am - terrible customer service.

Hertz Delray is the only place I rent from now. The cars are always clean, the service is great and there has never been a wait that I wanted to complain about. I think the managers name is Ron, he is super nice and helpful. There was a girl Brionne there and she was so amazing, she gave us a brand new Mercedes for our trip to a function where I was the guest of honor, I was SOO happy I didnt have to roll up in some cheapo looking beat up rental car. When I did have a (small) issue not even worth typing, they were extremely quick to correct the problem. I cant say enough nice things about this office.

Had trouble with our car that we rented from FLL Airport. We got stopped by a police and they said that the plates doesnt match the car. Went here the next day to sort this, but the guy was ignorant said nothing wrong. He could have called the car registration center and asked what the computer says there. And sunglasses on, insede the office talking to a customer. Unpolite! Said he could change the car, but this was our third time to try to get the car we had. When we said wed kept it. He was like you should have been here 1,5hours ago. I had one similar than. Doesnt really help. With golfballs on the hertz office floor and guy yawning in the corner says a lot. Dont bother to come here.
