Robert called to advise us that he would be at our hacienda at the scheduled appointment time. Once here, he immediately went about diagnosing the issue with our AC unit Short Cycling. The main drain was clogged and causing the safety switch to prematurely engage. Robert then checked the Condenser units vitals and indicated that the pressures were well within the proscribed levels. The tech Roberto was exceptional. He did the initial preventive maintenance and then we asked him to check our options to improve air flow to one of the bedrooms and bathrooms. He gave us a plan and will come back next week to set it up. He also checked the existing compressors (1 is 6 years old and 1 is 11 years old) - he felt the 11 year old one might need replacement as the coolant used is no longer available. He will bring in another tech to assess its remaining useful life and we can then decide how to proceed. It is currently working fine.

I returned home late in the evening from the July 4th holiday, only to find that my A/C unit wasnt working. I was offered a technician to come out between midnight and 4 AM...I was too tired to wait...I asked if Air-Ref can have a Technician walk me through the problem, in hopes it was something simple (I had to work early the next day). Aaron called me promptly, and he was able to detect the problem on the phone after giving me step by step instructions. We had a problem about a month ago and Alan came over and fixed it. He also noticed an issue with the air handler in the attic that could have caused it to stop working all together. We were very grateful that he noticed this issue. He came back to do our first maintenance service of the year and corrected the issue with the air handler and also did some repair on the vent in the living room. Aaron was professional and honest, I had a cracked drywall around an air vent and a gap in the interior of the duct causing condenstation, He indentified the problem.Another company told me to replace duct work with a quote from 1300 to 5,500 to replace duct work which was not necessary. Air-Ref Co. has always serviced my homes A/C over the years and done so well and professionally.However, about a year ago they replaced my next door neighbors outside unit, left my townhomes front entryway muddy and knocked a couple of its pavers loose. They also left trash and tools all over the complexs driveway. I called and the dispatcher had them come back and clean up promptly.Yesterday, my homes A/C stopped cooling and we called Air-Ref Co. who scheduled a technician to arrive between 5 and 8 pm. No one ever showed.Has something changed at Air-Ref Co.? They used to be good and reliable.

From the time I made the initial call to the time repair was complete was 2 hours!!!! Wayne the technician was super nice, informative, and expeditious. Unit was installed almost 2 years ago failed inspection after inspection. Wont ground unit to apt. Have to pay another company to complete job. Never use again. Worst of all warranty expired and cant even pass inspection.

I made a call on Saturday around 6pm to have an emergency visit this past Sunday. I have used this company since 2003.I was told my appointment was between 8 AM and 10 AM. When I didn’t get a call by 10:30 I called and they told me he would be out there in another hour or so. The tech arrived at 11:35am.The tech did not wear his mask in my house and did not wear gloves. I needed my air fixed so I did not tell him to leave. I did ask him to put his mask on that was sitting around his neck. I know he did not disinfect anything he touched in my house and I have no idea exactly what he did touch.If a company is doing business in this pandemic they should follow OSHA guidelines. It does state that this company follows OSHA guidelines on their website which is absolutely not true.I called and asked for a return phone call to discuss this and did not hear back. I did get a call saying that I needed a new air-conditioning unit and when can they come out and give me an estimate. I told him after I receive a call back we can discuss that. Still no call back. Still waiting!!

Disappointed that they require an $85 diagnostic visit in order to quote for a new system, despite informing them that the current system is working but is 17 years old and Id like to replace it. The other two companies I collected quotes from didnt require this. All employees I dealt with were very nice, and I did pay for the $85 visit after speaking with the manager who said there was nothing he could do. I had to follow up twice, despite leaving a message without a return phone call. Not a super great experience for me.

Had a new AC installed today. Anthony and Ian were absolutely wonderful. Air-Ref is a company I would recommend to anyone. We go back a few years. That have always treated me honestly and fairly. A few years back, I had an AC company actually rip the serial numbers off my old AC and told me I needed a new AC when I didnt. Air-Ref was recommended as a second opinion, and they went above and beyond to maintain my AC for the last four years until I finally needed a replacement, which happened today. A regular inspection every six months is cheap insurance for a $6000 air conditioning system. Air-Ref has found minor issues on most visits and fixed them free under our maintenance contract. Service has been prompt, punctual, friendly and knowledgeable.

Air-Ref has been the only company I’ve used to purchase & maintain my A/C system(s) during the past 20 years. My current contact with them calls for two inspections per year. This past Wednesday, Bryan was the technician they sent for this years 1st inspection. Bryan has been here on several occasions so he was very familiar with how to navigate through my attic in order to reach the unit. Very thorough (45 minutes) inspection and explanation on the services performed. I’ve been very pleased with the service Air-Ref has provided to me and my family throughout the years!!!

Mr. Lynch was responding to an emergency call. He was on time, communicates well and used considerable ingenuity and effort to correct conditions causing persistent leakage from very hard-to-get-to areas of the evaporation pan. He noted the removal of considerable amounts of algae slime and metal particles that had prevented water from clearing from the evaporation pan through to the outside condensation drain, His persistence in getting the job done right is a good example of why I’m satisfied with the performance of Air-Ref technicians and recommend the company to my friends and neighbors

This company has horrible customer service, does not follow industry standards, has no accountability, and other specialists have warned me not to use them.The Air-Ref technician came to my house to repair the unit in my attic and in the process of working on it, he let GALLONS of water flow through the attic ceiling and onto my floors. The floors and ceiling were dry before he came except for the small leak from the unit, but after he worked on the unit my attic ceiling was ruined and he made a huge mess on the floors below, which he did not clean up.The Air-Ref technician left my house in such a hurry that he did not clean up the mess he caused, did not tell anyone about the damage he caused, and even left some of his equipment in the attic where he was working.Air Ref made a small problem a much LARGER problem.

Alan did a very thorough check of my system, something more than ither techs have done.

Called them for the first time and had tech here on Thursday to perform service. Sunday unit would not go below 71 degrees. Sent another tech on Monday who said first man didnt clean the drain and put filter in upside down . He cleared drain and said all good, Tuesday I called that unit still wont go below 71 degrees and service manager said you cant expect more than a 20 degree difference from outside and they cant do anything else. I called in another company who came right away Tuesday and found that the unit was FROZEN. He defrosted it and all was working properly. Dont know how they couldve missed that after having two technicians here and talking to service manager . Would not recommend.
