Very clean, professional, and friendly staff! I hate going to the dentist, and they made what is usually an unpleasant experience very comfortable. The hygenist even took the time to explain what she was doing, showing me the xrays, and talking with me about things I can do from home for my health. I have been to dental offices before where they are in and out in 2 seconds and then just send you the bill so this was a nice change!

I needed to find a new dentist and I decided to try Aspen Dental in DeKalb, IL. I am very happy with the care Ive received. Dr. Obi is top notch and he and the technicians are very caring and professional. I tend to get anxious about dentist appointments and they always make me feel more comfortable. The office staff are friendly and helpful as well.

Tried this place despite being nervous because they have poor reviews. I paid for all my services upfront at the time of service. Weeks later I receive an additional bill. When I inquired about the bill I was told the technician switched out a mouth wash so I was being billed for this mouth wash. Mind you not once was anything said to me about something being changed, or something additional being required or needed. Not once was I informed there would be an additional charge. If I had been made aware upfront it would not really be an issue. The fact that I fully paid my bill and now I’m being charged for additional service/product after the fact seems sneaky and dishonest. I question if the service was even changed/ a different mouth wash was supplied. I should of paid attention to the reviews and avoided this place from the start. Lesson learned.

Had to give 1 star as 0 was not an option. Took my kids for a cleaning and they tried to say the full price wasn’t covered by insurance. Had to show them a screenshot that yes we are covered 100%. Then, hoping for the best, I went for my cleaning, and they said it would be $180!?! For a $19 cleaning?!? Said that it was for the prescriptions. I was never prescribed anything. This place is very shady, we won’t be back.

I dont like dentists but going to Aspen Dental has change my mind about dentists. Aspen Dental is great makes you feel comfortable and at ease.i had a great experience.

Overall my experience with Aspen dental was very great. I want to give a shout out on here to one of their dental assistants, Sky!!! I don’t know if there’s anyone who could’ve put up with me like she did, she held my hand when I needed her to and kept asking me if I was all right, being that I was terrified of getting fillings... she completely made me feel better and the doctor who did my fillings was so extremelyNice as well! They worked so great as a team!

Great experience. I had a cracked tooth that I needed pulled. I was not a patient, but they were able to get me in within 15 minutes from when I called them. I received x-rays, had a cleaning, and they pulled the tooth. I couldnt be happier with their service. Everyone there was friendly and easy to get along with. I am now going to be a regular patient there.

SCORED HIGH SO PEOPLE KNOW THE TRUTHThis establishment was absolutely bass-ackwards. I arrived 10 minutes early and very nervous on the prospect that I was to have a wisdom teeth removal. I sat alone in my room for an accumulated hour and a half without assistance all the while various staff personnel walked themselves into my room without even a hello just to dig through the drawers behind my back and make their way to whomever THEY were helping. Doc looked around in my mouth long enough to count my teeth then broke the news that nothing I had expected to happen at my appointment would in fact happen that day and I would have to schedule a teeth cleaning before speaking any further on a surgery. After being left alone for awhile again I finally stood to leave/pay. The receptionist is who informed me Id had advanced gingivitis; this struck me as odd because my oral hygiene has never sparked a red flag with my trusted hometown dentist. Instead of paying my low copay right away I was given a long spiel about a credit card I have no need for in my current state of life; moral of my review is to receive a second opinion. Or however many providers your insurance will cover.P.S - Honestly stand your ground when you say you arent interested in something, it will save you the headache.

I went here in June 2019 to get my wisdom teeth removed . They flat out denied my insurance and charged me for care that i didn’t need/didn’t have performed. Now i am getting harassed by collections agencies. I can’t wait till this fraudulent company is sued out of existence because i know I’m. Or the only one they have done this too

The doctor gave me the medicine I needed to treat my infected tooth. He was wonderful attentive and kind.When I got to the lady to help finance my need for a multiple tooth extraction and partials I told her what I could do and she handed me back my card. Instead of allowing me to make a payment plan I was turned away with a growing tooth infection and gum disease

Do NOT go here for ANYTHING! I mean ANYTHING at all! They dont finish what they start working on as soon as they find out that they cant rip off the insurance company for thousands and thousands of dollars while charging you thousands for work that you can get done for a lot less elsewhere! Take the time and go to a reputable dentist! I wish I had done my research before going here! Now I have to take the time to get a lawyer and sue them for not completing the work that was paid for in advance!

I was seen here in December of 2020 and I had a regular exam done. Afterwards they brought me into a consultation room where she had me sign a few electronic sheets. She told me what I was signing without seeing the form but I trusted the company. Turns out she signed me up for a credit card and billed me $300 for my next visit which I ended up canceling and they still charged me. $300 for a cleaning and some sensodyne toothpaste which I can get at target for $6. I am very displeased and I will be calling them tomorrow to let them know I have cancelled the credit card and disputed the payment.

My gut feeling was I was being scammed. They wanted to pull out all my molars, 10 in all and put me in dentures. I went and got a second opinion, thank god! I needed in reality 3 root canals and 3 caps. And to top it off they told me those teeth could not support a crown. one is already done! I cant understand this unethical practice! Dont trust them.!

I made my first appointment, filled out new patient paperwork and forms online.I spoke with Valarie over the phone to verify insurance and be informed of COVID procedures.Day of appointment, pulled up in parking lot, called, and received a return call a few minutes later to come in.Technician took me to an exam room. Doctor came in, introduced himself and we discussed what brought me in. He took a quick look in my mouth.Tech took me back for X-rays. Followed that with th the hygienist coming in and doing a thorough check of teeth and gums. Discussed her findings and the procedure to expect.Doctor is back, discuss a treatment plan and next steps.Took me to the office, had a great time with Sade seeing how much insurance covers and making arrangements to pay the out of pocket portion.I had an excellent visit! Nice, professional staff all around. Clean facilities. I was very comfortable with the entire experience.I am *almost* looking forward to my next visit when I’ll have my teeth scaled and planed!

I had a tooth infected and went to see them they told me a 19 X-ray exam. When I arrive there seen that I had a lot of issues and would not examine just a tooth unless I paid $300 for a partial exam watch out for these people all they see is $$$ and not people. I would not recommend

This has been the most rewarding dental experience I have had in a very long time. From the very beginning this Team has a certain way of settling your fears so you can make it to the finish line. I had tooth pain at work & went straight here after I got off. They took me in immediately without an appointment. For having to go to the dentist, it was as great of an experience as it could be. The whole staff was so wonderful & friendly.

I am not happy with Aspen Dental. I did not always understand what the staff was talking about. They use dentist jargon and when I asked to explain it was still not clear. How does 1 bridge cost $5000.00 plus. Ridiculous and I was not told of an additional charge when I asked on the day it was to be done. Terrible customer service.

I have never had an experience as awful as what I encountered at Aspen Dental. While most the staff was friendly and helpful, the dentist was offputting, condescending and down right rude. When I explained that I was in a position of financial strain and didnt have the money for all of the things he was trying to sell me, he didnt care. He kept pressuring me with no regard for what I was saying. I got up and left in the middle of the appointment because it is unacceptable to treat people that way. Is this healthcare or used car sales?

WOW! What a GREAT experience! I’ve never experienced a dentist office like this before, I’m very impressed!! Everyone is beyond nice, friendly, & efficient. A very organized office and all the team members are well knowledgeable. They make you feel very comfortable through every process. I love that they have an oral surgeon in the office 1x a month if needed. I HIGHLY recommend this office! Dr Patel, Gabby, and all the other team members are Top Notch!

Ive been going to this Aspen Dental since I moved to this area a few years ago. Great staff and very friendly. I spend most of my time here with Gaby who does my cleanings. She is awesome! Does a very thorough job, has a great sense of humor and is fun to talk to. 5 stars!

Dr. Mantinaos is very patient and has a great bedside manner. All the staff was friendly and accommodating.

The nurse took my temperature in a hot car and advised I have a 100 temp. (I don’t I checked I also was working out this morning) I have no fever, no chills, no aches, no sore throat, no cough nothing. Nurse advised they could not see me and they would call immediately to reschedule.. they never did. Will find a different dentist.

All the staff have giant smiles on their faces, they all seem genuinely happy to be there and it makes going to the dentist a more enjoyable experience because of it. I was in and out quickly and my dentist was super knowledgeable and kind. If all dentist offices were like this, I wouldnt mind going in every 6 months!

I dont even know where to begin. The office manager Alyssa is beyond wonderful. Dr. Patel was awesome he really took care of me. My dentures fit great. All of the Staff were very friendly you felt like family there!

Went for a cleaning. Hygienist was fantastic, thorough, and extremely kind!

The staff is friendly and the place is clean. I just wanted a basic teeth cleaning and my front tooth shaved down some but they did this big exam and x-rays which was only 19 dollars since I dont have insurance, so that was nice. They measured my gums and 4 or 5 (out of 56) of them were 4s, instead of 1 through 3 (which is the very beginning signs of gingivitis I guess). They said I needed gingivitis treatment, one filing and wouldnt shave down my tooth and if I wanted that done it would be over 600 dollars. Either way, I left without scheduling another appointment, bought some new gingivitis tooth paste, and mouth wash and dental floss for $25 because I know I can fix that problem myself and I filed down my tooth with a nail file like I saw on YouTube because its bugged me for years (I do not endorse this or am telling anyone to do this, I suggest you not) and it looks perfect now. So I guess I thank them for alerting me that I need to be more vigilant with my teeth. I will find somewhere else that WILL do a basic cleaning because in Reality I KNOW thats all I need and get the cavity filled. I dont need all the upsells from this place. I dont have a lot of extra money.

I am so happy to finally get to write my 100% honest review of this place which is nothing but a scam to try to take your money.I set the apointment up because i was noticing some pain in a chipped tooth and i know it needed to come out.I went there with my wife on a saturday and of coarse they are all doing the covid percautions, we come up to the building i had to call lady comes out greets us and takes our temps, we walk in and now its time for the x-rays.They literally took 25-30 X-rays the commander ((dr Obi)) said i want one with every tooth)) so im sitting here in pain, as this lady who wasnt very nice, rifiles through these xrays. (they did this so he had alot of ammo for the close on all the work you need done )) not just a simple tooth extraction.I sit in the dental chair and we literally waited a total of over a half an hour, no one made you feel comfortable, in fact they even brought some papers to sign saying the issue of possibly getting covid in a dentist office and wanted you to acknowledge that, along with 3-4 other signatures before the doctor comes in.After looking at the x-rays as this was just a consultation, the doctor shows me the xrays one of my entire mouth and the 4 of the 25 he took.To make a long story short he told me it was hopeless and even a deep cleaning would do much as i had alot of tarter going below the gum line.now i am 50 and granted havent taken real good care of my teeth, however i had no bleeding gums, no loose teeth, just a chipped tooth from a old cavity. The doctor tell s me i have 2 options as me and my wife are listen to this jackass, 1) take out ALL my teeth and get dentures, or 2) deep clean extract 4 teeth, and even then he doesnt feel its going to work. he literally said its TOO LATE.after i listened in awe i let him reexplain this 2 times to me, my wife asked what if someone doesnt have the money to do all of this, he said to her, i dont get involved in that i am just telling you your options. There was no love or sympathy from this man NONE.It was all business. and thats fine because i have been in sales over 30 years and can read him like a book.I really didnt know what to say all i knew he was full of it. So he tried to close me and said i understand it is a hard thing to discuss,let me give you 5 minutes to discuss and then you will have an answer for me..I laughed under my breath and said no i think we will take option 2 and make the best of it. so then he says ok you will meet with sunny and she will explain the options for the chargesThen we get to the check out point and sunny explains this will be over a couple thousand just to get things started, and beyond my wildest dreams she asks me for HALF DOWN to make a next appointment, I said no way well find another place pd the 19 bucks and left what a DIVE, and no integrity. The people there had fake smiles and looked miserable.Thankfully i searched for another dentist and found a excellent one in Oswego, super nice, so loving and kind they were, you can see my review for Kendal pointe dental also on google.The second opinion i got NO in no way do you have to take out all your teeth, he extracted 2 and were scheduling a deep clean which he says if i just continue good care for my teeth, i will be fine..Moral of this story aspen dental is a cash grab lowest price of 19.00 to get a exam and x-rays do not fall for it,, the people there had no couth, and the denist or Dr OBI was a joke...Im feeling great and much happier with my new dentist.. Be warned AVOID ASPEN DENTAL AT ALL COSTS...

I have used both the Rockford office and Dekalb office. All the staff have been wonderful and the Doctors excellent. Why would you want to go anywhere else.

They changed my appointment time arbitrarily a few hours before the original scheduled time which was stressful because I had other appointments I needed to keep that morning. They pretended they did not no why it happened and there were not sincere in there apology. I also did not appreciate having a trainee do my xrays. My mouth was sore for several days. The dentist Dr. Obi an the hygenist were very professional.

She was so caring and even called around to other dentists in the area to see who might be able to fit me in. She let me know what they could do for me if I was unable to get in anywhere else and discussed my options for treatment without the insurance. Best customer service I have received in a while.

The office has a relaxed feel to it when you walk through the door. All the staff were welcoming. The office manager was easy to talk to and just awesome, she understood my concerns and was not pushy. Dr. Nye is the best. He was friendly and answered any questions i had while explaining everything to me and making sure i was comfortable. I will definitely be using this office in the future and recommend them.

I was Very Pleased with all of the staff! I was treated with respect and every step throughout exam, X-ray, consultation! Im 65 years old and have never been treated with so much kindness. I was given my options and choose the right procedures to follow through. I compared pricing with other dentist agency and this was the best pricing I had found. I choose what I wanted done and was contacted back very quickly. We went over all of my options and plans to pay for my procedures then I was set up for an appointment the following week.I can write into words how very pleased I was! Aspen Dental in DeKalb is always a pleasant experience. Not only is their online system quick and easy to use (for appointment reminders and easy rescheduling), but upon arrival they are always fast and prepared with any paperwork I need to fill out or payments I can make ahead of time. I feel like they value my time, and I appreciate that they actually remember me each time I go in.

When I first walked in I felt welcomed. They got started right away and made sure they were very careful. Everything was clean and freshly out the bag. They let me know what was going on and told me what will be done. Aspen Dental is not too expensive and filled with nice people. I recommend them to everybody.

I havent been to the dentist in 13 years so I really dont have anything to compare to but this place was amazing- I had anxiety so bad I could barely get through the door - they were so friendly from the front desk through the whole appointment - they told me everything they were doing and going to do- was so comfortable I didnt even realize until I was in my car that I had forgotten about my anxiety- have to have a ton of work- but so far so good!! I highly recommend the dekalb office

I really feel like this place has saved my life in a sense and I can’t thank them enough for always pushing me in the right direction. They aren’t only good dentist but they are in general really good and thoughtful ppl. They are true advocates when it comes to health and feeling good and better. Especially if it’s an emergency. Not bad but expensive. Pay attention when paying and making your future appointments if you have to make them. The nurse and dentist was nice and professional. I spent a ton of money here. And on the root canal I got somewhere else because they could not do it. This is a corporation so they have to go by the book and the people who take your money are basically reading a script. I heard a couple different people as they talked to them about what was needed done and how much it would cost and it was around the same as me. So weird? My point is dont get bullied here. They have a terrible way of dealing with money and insurance. I am still getting bills and theyre always different because they bill me right away and insurance hasnt paid out yet. Its annoying

I called Friday for our annual cleanings and was able to get in on Monday. The staff was very friendly. My daughter had to get 2 teeth pulled and they were able to do the procedure that day. She was nervous but everyone was so sweet and gentle. The pulled her teeth with no fuss or pain. Would definitely recommend this office!

I hate going to the dentist and therefore took me 10 yrs to find a new dentist. The staff at Aspen Dental was wonderful . I am very sorry I didnt make an appointment sooner. It is my fault I will need the work done but they went over all options and costs and even offer payment options. No pressure no sales pitch...just what your options are and what you want to do!! Very please with the staff and dentist.From the front office staff that went the extra yard to verify my dental access benefits( perseverance is alive and well at this office) . The technician that took the x rays both 2D and 3D, the young lady that did the oral inspection was professional and friendly explaining what the values indicated.Dr. Austriaco reviewed the issues that involved the 2 crowns that I thought needed to be looked at. I feel extremely confident in proceeding with the game plan presented to me .I recently left another local dental practice because of the lack of confidence and continuity of staff.I am old enough to know what good quality service is and what passes for quality elsewhere.

Staff seemed very competent, very friendly, and well aware of the fact that my time is important. Very up-front with their pricing tables and in explaining the procedures I was about to undergo. So far so good!.

Everyone there was nice. But that doesn’t make up for the fact that they lied about how bad my numbers where. They said I had a bunch of 6’s and wouldn’t tell me exactly what number each spot was. Also I have a cavity in between my two front teeth which you can see and the dentist came in barely looked and said I was fine. She didn’t say I needed a filling or looked at the tooth until I mentioned something. This was two weeks ago. Today I went to my original dentist and I have no 6s and she actually spent the time and looked at my teeth (an hour). I will say at aspen they are nice people but other than that that place is only looking for money. I don’t recommend them at all.

Find it interesting that most reviews on here are from people who have only submitted one review. Went in for a dental surgery horrible experience.Nothing was explained. Doctor was inpatient. Billings here are higher than anywhere else in Dekalb and Rochelle. This place is a puppy churning money maker. They dont care about THE PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. You need to hire WHITE, AMERICAN doctors and support America. Dr. Guthrie is a horrible excuse for a doctor.

From the help up front / check -in to the friendly Knowledgeable staff in back . The doctor was very warm and calming which really help a guy like me who shamefully hasnt visited a dentist in many years. Highly recommend this office.

Very nice and hospitable. I loved the response and friendliness of the doctors but they are a little too expensive.Overall it was a good experience but I don’t think I can go back because of the finances.

Had to get dentures and they kept saying that the bottom ones I would have to use fixadent to keep them in and I still cant keep them in and I have sores on my gums from them. They said the uppers would be a good fit and would stay no problem . Nope they dont stay either when I take a bite they flop down also . Wouldnt go here if you need dentures. Very frustrating . I didnt plan on having dentures but chemo meds ruined my teeth. But I paid a lot of money to get dentures for them to not stay or and be able to use them when I eat nope cant.

Gaby the Hygienist was amazing, as was the rest of the staff. They all did their best to make me comfortable and guide me through the process. Not nervous at all to go back for my filling or other appointments

I had a great experience. I had a lot of work that needed to be completed, and the entire process took some time, but the results were fantastic, and affordable with my insurance. After years of not smiling due to a missing tooth, im enjoying getting to smile again.

The office is great. Not to many times you can say its enjoyable going to the dentist. the staff is very friendly and the office is clean and doesnt smell like a dentist office! Dr. Chandi was very nice and gentle especially with my fear of the dentist! I would definitely recommend this place and will be having my son go here when hes due for his next cleaning.

I rated 4 stars for the 30 minute wait time when I was the first appointment of the day and because I had to ask three times about something on the bill. I did not leave upset, I was actually pretty satisfied. Just wanted to give a thorough review.This was my first visit to the dentist for about a year in a half. The staff was nice when I arrived and had me fill out paper work. I arrived at 8am for my appointment. It was a little frustrating that I wasnt called back for another 15 minutes after finishing the paperwork, especially since I was the first appointment of the day. By the time I was in the back room it was 8:30. The staff were extremely friendly and answered questions I had about my teeth, gums, etc. The main reason I was upset is when it came to the bill counseling. I was not frustrated about any amounts that I would have to owe, but more upset because the woman who was explaining everything to me was not clear with how much a cleaning would cost. I asked about three times and each time she said it was $53 dollars but I wanted to know what it was called on the sheet. She continued to use jargon I didnt understand because I dont work in a dentists office, which can be very frustrating for me when I am at a dentist or Doctors office.

I had an emergency appt. because I was in extreme pain. They were able to fit me in and get me on a path to feeling better on very short notice.

I used Aspen Dental in DeKalb IL for an urgent dental examine, as I was unable to make contact with my regular dentist.I was given an appointment time less than an hour of reaching out to them. They made every effort to verify that an emergency contact had not been available through my regular dentist before they did any work. Only the necessary exrays were taken, and the doctor came to examine me promptly afterwards. She quickly found the problem and gave me antibiotics, along with my exrays and a referral to see a root canal doctor.Every one at Aspen dental was friendly and caring. I am very grateful that they were willing to see me.

Second visit in two days and everyone knows my name. So professional and friendly I can not say enough. I am not a big fan of the five star rating, when a group like this deserves a ten. If you have any dental needs look no further you found the best.

My experience was amazing. The staff was very polite and explained everything clearly.The patrient service representative, Sade Barge, really set the tone for the appointment which lead to a successful wisdom extraction. They really care about their patients and the practice of good oral care. I’m going back soon to get more work done with this professional group. I will definitely recommend ours to do business with them.

Gaby is the best dental hygienist in town. Very knowledgeable and great at what she does.

I am Morgans mother and I made the appointment at the Dekalb office. When I made the appointment, I specifically asked to make sure she gets a cleaning which the scheduling department said would happen. Morgan went in, filled out the paperwork, and was examined. She told the dentist about her concern about incoming wisdom teeth. At that point the entire visit became about the extraction, the assistant was very pushy making her fill out a loan application and schedule the appointment before allowing her, a college student, to speak with her parents. Morgan requested to speak with her parents, and was not allowed to prior to being forced to sign a bunch of paperwork. Furthermore, her teeth were never cleaned. Morgan complied with the assistant hoping they finally clean her teeth. She came home in tears from the pressure still not having her teeth cleaned! We will never be back.
