I was at Ford dealership this morning for routine maintenance & tire rotation. I waited 1 1/2 hours, when I was given my paperwork I asked about my cabin air filter, tech @ Fords said I didn’t have one. I found that VERY odd. So I went to the neighborhood guys at oil exchange auto repair, showed them (Frank & Jordan) my paperwork from fords & what would you know- they pulled out my cabin air filter that definitely needed to be changed & they replaced it right there in matter of minutes. I only went to dealership as it was part of my incentive package on my car, but I could of saved the time & had the job done correctly through these guys. Definitely won’t be getting that incentive maintenance package on my next lease!!

This is the second time I took my truck here and they have left the oil drain bolt loose 1st time they said it was the bolt it was not because I tightened it and it stopped 2nd time I just notice my brand new power washed driveway has oil spots on it and its coming from the same spot where they worked this is a great truck never ever had a drip drop not a hoopty its well taken care of and I just think a business should know that this bolt needs to be tightened up to torque I was a mechanic for 8 years and know all about cars I just dont prefer to change the oil on my cars anymore so I take it to the oil exchange but I dont know if I will be going there anymore I shouldnt have to be a mechanic to change my oil, now its on my under carriage this is so unprofessional!

Best service I have had so far. Brain and Jordan were a big help switching out my headlight and running the Diagnostic on my vehicle! Oil change took nothing but a minute and they both answered all my questions and made it very easy to understand what was going on with my car! Dropped my car off at noon for a simple brake pad/rotor replacement. I brought the parts. Car sat there all day. They called me near COB wanting to charge me an exorbitant $250 over their quote to take off a control arm bolt to access the rear rotor, and hung up on me when I told them no. They also lied about already installing some of the parts I brought in to hold my car right up to closing (parts were in my trunk, unopened). Take your business elsewhere for anything more than an oil change.

I drive from the east side to have my oil changed here. I know there are places everywhere but the staff is the best. They always offer extra advice and dont try and rip you off. They are the reason I drive from the east side just to get my oil changed.

Went to this place for about 4 years. I always purchased my own oil and filter and had them just change up until and my oil filter was left very loose. Next day I Pulled my duck boat out at 5am (in the dark) and returned to the launch to notice at 9am to notice oil pouring out so I crawled under my truck to find my filter very loose and lost 3qts of oil. Spoke to a manager and they changed the oil at no cost but was supposed to hear from the owner since my 2 year old driveway has a nice stain on it. Back to doing it myself in the street. On another note it was my first time seeing this employee there but I do get it accidents happen.

No hassle, no attempt to sell me headlight fluid, plus a free bottle of water which was a very nice touch. Ill definitely be back.

This is the only place I will take my car for an oil change. The service here is incredible. Last time I came for an oil change, the helpful attendant was honest with me and said I did not need an oil change at that time. I know absolutely nothing about cars, so he easily could have said I needed one and I would have not known any better. I gave him a hefty tip to show my appreciation.I brought my car in today for an oil change, but also inquired about my AC drain being potentially clogged as I noticed condensation building up on the passenger seat floor. The attendant who helped me offered to shoot the air compressor underneath the car where the AC drain hose was located. After doing this, water rushed out immediately and the problem was solved. They didnt even charge me for this!! Of course I gave him a nice tip again to show how much I appreciated his help.I recommend this specific shop to everyone as they have shown me nothing but kindness, transparency, and honesty. I wish I would have asked for the guys name who helped, but I believe he is the manager. Whoever is reading this post, that man deserves a raise!!

Well first of all its less expensive than most of the chain stores. Secondly I always prefer the Mom and Pops operations. Third and most important, these guys are cool. Theyre friendly theyre quick theyre efficient, and theyre good eye candy.Thank you guys

The price was reasonable. Service was extremely thorough and fast, which I appreciated. The younger guy that waited on me, however, had an attitude. When I couldnt drive into the garage straight he was shaking his head and rolling his eyes. I mean, if I was a guy and some woman couldnt maneuver very well, I guess I might be impatient too. It isnt an excuse though. I do not know if I will return. I might go back to my old oil shop where the help is friendlier. If youre in a hurry though, this place is ok.

EDIT: I was going to forget about this, but with the Sorry for the convenience response from the owner of this place, with the false claim that anyone else had worked on my car prior to bringing it to them, (which I see is their typical response to any low rating rather than holding accountability), over $900 later, and no apology, I decided to update with photos. A real mechanic fixed my car after The Oil Exchange continuously told me I was having trouble with my alternator three days into this ordeal. Curious as to how an alternator issue led to my wires being crossed and burned up and ended up costing me so much more in parts from the real mechanic. I posted the real mechanics write up of the damage done by The Oil Exchange, so you can see for yourself.I went in for an oil change and now my car is completely wrecked and wont start. Not to mention, whenever I called, the men on the phone told me to stop interrupting, that they didnt need to explain anything to me anyway since I wouldnt understand it, and I could just come pick my car up and theyd put it back the way it was. I drove my car in there without a problem besides an oil pressure light, and now my car wont start. Certainly nothing like the way I brought it in. Theyre scheisty.

I stopped in unexpectedly for help with my dad’s muffler and the garage was busy with 3 cars already being worked on. One of the guys came outside and took a look under my dads car and told me to pull into the oil exchange garage and he would fix the problem for me right then. I was very thankful he could fix it right away! Very nice and helpful group of guys!

The Oil Exchange provides excellent service when working on vehicles. Workers are knowledgeable and always honest when making suggestions on extras you may need when servicing your vehicle. I have taken my cars to this location since I started driving and will continue to do so in the future.

This place is awesome and has some really great guys working there. Before coming in there I was afraid I was going to get the run around from them (me being a young female) but thats the last thing you can expect here! Actually, my first visit they fixed something on my car that cost about $300 to get fixed, for free!! Plus not only that but they will check you fluids and tire pressure in between oil changes for free!

A great place to take you car for repairs or routine maintenance. We had a problem with our A/C and James took the time troubleshoot the issue and find an affordable, workable solution. I am thankful to find a trustworthy place so close to my home. Hopefully we wont need to visit them regularly, but when we do need repairs or maintenance, no doubt where we are headed.

The past few times Ive gotten oil changes Ive had bad experiences - so, I was pretty anxious when I went to the Oil Exchange earlier today. However, when I got there, I was met with respect and quick and knowledgeable service. They didnt try to squeeze me for extra money or convince me to get other things I didnt need. They treated me with respect unlike some other oil change establishments. They were very friendly and fast.

This was overall a great experience. Multiple employees asked if I wanted a water bottle during my wait. Everyone was friendly and informative, never pushing any service or purchases on me. The wait was very short and Brian + staff had everything finished in under 10 minutes. They have a convenient location and I would definitely recommend you get your next oil change there.

The only place we take our vehicles. Always polite and courteous. Many times they tell me Im early changing my oil and give me the option of coming back at a later date. Never try to up sell me something I dont need.

I will go nowhere else for my car maintenance needs. The staff here (shout out to Mike!) treats their customers like family, and go above and beyond what any other service station I have ever been to is willing go.For example, my Jeep was low on trans fluid, and despite not carrying that type themselves told me what to get at an auto parts store and to come back so they could put it in for me at the right levels needed. They were noy making a dime off of me, yet wanted to make sure I was taken care of that day.I will never go anywhere else again, I love these guys and could not recommend them more highly. If you want to be confident your vehicle has been properly serviced, then this is the location you want servicing your vehicle.

This review is from about 3 months ago. I was looking at older receipts and just noticed the receipt for the last oil change at this place said they replaced the old oil with 5w-30. The problem is my car takes 5w-20 and due to my car being older and with 100k+ miles, puts the engine at higher stress than 5w-20 due to the thicker oil (hence the 30 and not 20). If I did not see the receipt, I would have never known they put the incorrect oil and they definitely did not tell me.

I recently moved to Michigan and work at Ford, and I brought my car in for an oil change at the Outer Dr location. In addition, I mentioned that my wiper fluid sprayers werent working and asked if they could take a look. The gentlemen on duty were very helpful and - rather than trying to push on me an expensive service or replacement of any parts - managed to flush out all the frozen fluid in the car and get the pump working again. When I returned from lunch, I found them just finishing melting the last of the ice with hot water and pumping it out with a vacuum, so they must have been at it for at least 30 minutes, and the charge was very reasonable.The workers were very fast, friendly, and polite, and Ill definitely be returning there again.

I went here to have diagnostics regarding my heating/cooling. I hadnt kept my receipt from when they placed dye to try and figure out where my AC leak was. I asked the technician Kenny if they had any record on file and he immediately began arguing with me about how no place would have that on file and even clothing stores would give me the worst price.I proceeded with the diagnostics and was quoted a price. Being a young woman (and knowing very little about cars) I asked to hold off on any of the fixes they told me I needed so I could call my family to see if the prices were fair/ if it made sense. I told Kenny I was calling because I didnt know about cars and my dad/uncle would know better than I would. After getting off the phone he told me he didnt even want to get involved and would not perform service on my vehicle. I asked him if they didnt allow their customers to call the men in their family for advice and his response was were slow but not desperate and wouldnt give me a copy of their quoted prices or what they had said was wrong with my car.He made me feel extremely uncomfortable and treated me like I was wrong for asking my family if I should proceed with a $400+ fix.Prior to this interaction my experience with this facility had been positive (been having my oil changed here for over a year). That being said, no woman should be made to feel like she is unable to seek advice regarding auto repair without worrying about being then told they would not perform the maintenance on the vehicle.

I changed my tires at the shop, and one of the new tires had leaking air problem after one month. I went back to them and they found out there was a nail in the new tire. They quickly fixed it without charging me any money. They are the best! Highly recommended!

Just left this place without the oil change I came for. I pulled my van in and they said my engine was knocking and couldnt give a warranty on the oil change. I didnt want a warranty anyways. The two men who were working there began mocking the condition of the vehicle and the sound it was making. One guy said the oil pan had a huge hole in it which is also not true. They continued with their snickering and talking about it. I went and stood behind my van when I asked them to just change the oil. They scan the car and said oh its been here before and the other worker sarcastically says yeah probably 27000 miles ago. They didnt know I heard so I walked around to them and confronted them. They were still extremely rude. Finally agreed to do the oil change and tried to upcharge me for things I knew I didnt need. Making my total about $25 more than Ive paid before. I finally just walked out with out an oil change.I do not recommend this place at all. They are rude, inconsiderate, and speak down to you. Do not bring your vehicle here!!
